Early morning cuddling
[Fluff, wholesome, nb!reader]
[Wyll, Lae'zel, Karlach, Minthara]
Part Two
Wyll
The feeling of soft warm breath against your chest is soothing, Wyll's arms are wrapped around your waist with his curled back horns below your neck, safely out of reach.
A quiet squeaking sounds just outside your window, wandering and tapping their beaks gently against the glass, the adoring feathery fans coming to say hello to the prince charming, sleeping in your arms. After all, Wyll has been making a habit of feeding the two mourning doves who made a nest just outside your shared bedroom. It's a good omen, he claims.
But he's sleeping so peacefully in your embrace, it almost feels like a crime to wake him up. Despite how adorable his morning grumpiness can be, sometimes blue blood just never washes off no matter how much Wyll claims he is a humble man of the blade.
The pure cotton sheets and featherly pillows below you say otherwise, but who are you to argue with Wyll-can't sleep unless it's on a 2000 thread count sheets-Ravengard
Calling his name, you cup his face in your hand as he leans into it. Nuzzling into the warmth of your balm as you tell him it's time to wake up. His lips meet the soft skin on inside of your hand and gently give it a small kiss. Mismatched eyes fluttering open with difficulty as he battles through the sleepiness, finally meeting your gaze.
You let him cuddle up to you, the lazy morning weather is really mellowing out your mind and making all the responsibilities awaiting you pale in comparison to staying here on this soft bed, wrapped in your beloved's arms.
Wyll seems to share a similar idea, the hero of frontier happily indulging in the sin of sloth so openly, if only you had a necklace of pearls to clutch right now. Alas, you let this handsome devil lure you back into taking a nap together, ignore the calling of the sun outside your curtains, for the world can await.
♡
Lae'zel
She's awake much before you, only when the sound of running water stirs you awake do you realise the empty spot on the bed besides you.
Lae'zel took her morning training very seriously, slipping away before the sun was up to keep both her body and mind in shape. When the fading stars in the sky are her only companions through her long jogs, a reminder of a home she once knew.
A test of self-will to resist the allure of sleep each morning.
To resist the allure of you on her bed.
Which is why she feels entitled to your touch the second she's finished with her shower, you're the prize she has rightfully earned. Drying off her damp skin as she watches you with keen eyes, noticing the way your eyes linger on each droplet she wipes off of her body.
Finishing drying her hair, Lae'zel finally joins you on the bed after what felt like long hours of torture that realistically only amounted to ten minutes tops.
She smells absolutely divine, her hair is so soft as you run your fingers through it, using it to guide her face closer to yours. Her lips taste just as sweet as her scent, with a hint of toothpaste.
But a kiss is all that you have the stamina for. You can't make it to the second kiss before dozzing off again, mind clouded by the comfort her presence brings. The unspeakable safety you feel in her arms, knowing that she would let nothing in this world ever lay a finger on you.
Even after so many years, she still keeps her sword sharp, just so your fingertips may grow softer each day. Because you at this moment, dozzing off in her arms in the early morning, is what she's fights for everyday.
The two of you stay under the warm blanket, Lae'zel has never felt a greater sense of belonging than in your embrace.
♡
Karlach
Her beloved teddy bear, Clive, is squished between the two of you.
Karlach decided that your arms were at the safest place for the second most treasured thing in her life. Whilst she got to hold you in her own arms, it's a win-win deal.
Wearing very little clothes while sleeping, her engine hums with a soft night-light red glow. Since fixing it, it's become much easier to fall asleep by her side without its blazing light and loud churning, now it's more akin to a glowing amber beneath her skin that you could easily miss in the morning light.
You still grew fond of that hum, the low metallic melody that spelled a promise of a second chance at life to her, to return back what was stolen. Rewind the time and tend to the wounds.
As far as Karlach was concerned, she was living the dream. Sure, fighting had its merits, but nothing could compare to the steady sway of a mundane life. As safe as a baby in a cradle, she relished in every peaceful sleep she was granted by your side.
Her horn was growing in again, the broken one, you noticed that when it started lightly scratching the side of your neck in the early morning. You made a mental note to have a talk with Karlach about changing the sleeping arrangements, after throwing a small celebration for her horn.
Maybe you'll get her a pie from that bakery she likes, it's only a few houses away from where you lived in this small community. And the flower lady did say she got a new batch of sunflowers coming in today, it looks like lady fortune was smiling your way today.
Her strong arms made you feel safe, protected, and loved. Her legs tangled with yours under the cover as she held you tighter.
Peppering small kisses down face, you started with her forhead, just below her horns, and then moved to her closed eyelids, below her eyes, on her cute nose and cheeks.
Finally meeting her lips, just before you could pull away from what was supposed to be a gentle quick smooch, Karlach pushed you on your back and pressed her lips against yours, deepening the kiss and not allowing you the chance to slip away from her hold.
Greedily eating up all of the small noises slipping out of you, her firey eyes met yours as the kiss kept going for a minute before she finally pulled back breathless.
"Damn that's the best way to wake up." She let out with a smug grin, arms roaming your body while her lips meet your neck, a kiss after another.
But they were too light, sleep still clouded her mind as what was supposed to be passionate, neck kissing, turned into a tickling sensation against your neck that made you chuckle.
Karlach seemed a bit embarrassed by her clumsy skills, but she took it in stride and laughed it off, settling for one final taste to your lips before laying on her back and pulling you on top of her. Manhandling you so early in the morning as if you were her personal teddy bear to cuddle up with in whatever position she wished to.
♡
Minthara
It's peaceful, too peaceful for her liking. Not that she ever falls asleep to begin with.
And yet she finds herself following you to bed, joining in this routine nightly as if it was her second nature to do so. Like a guard dog would see you to the front door of your house whenever you were getting ready to go out, waiting at the doorsteps until your arrival.
You don't think she'd appreciate this euphemism if you spoke it out loud, so you keep to yourself, even when you find her waiting for you in front of the house one day when you took a little too late to come home.
With a book in her hand and the reading glasses replacement number forty-six that she will surely misplace or break before the week ends, Minthara retires to her side of the bed next to you.
You'd be lying if you said that her presence didn't help ease your mind, that the sound of pages turning didn't help lull you into dreams. She doesn't meditate during those hours either, prefering to do it for a couple hours during the day when your wide awake.
Maybe it's for safety, why she is so keen on watching over your helpless form. An old habit that came from surviving drow society, making sure no one can ever catch both of you off guard at the same time.
She's in the same place when you wake up, her hair a bit more of a mess with her fingers flipping the book to its final pages, red eyes scanning the writing with care as she takes in the information. They were always in drow language, you wondered what kind did she read? Fiction or nonfiction? Novels or science books? History or biographies?
The only thing you could make out on the pages was the small scribble at the edges of stray pages, where Minthara marked where she last left off with a pen, rather than using the various bookmarks she's been gifted.
The more you focused on the scribble, the more it looked like a tiny spider with way too many legs, but your wife simply refuse to acknowledge that whenever you wondered about it aloud.
Stretching your arms above your head, your back weighted down comfortably on the silk sheets that Minthara insisted on getting. Bright lavender in colour and unbelievably smooth against your skin, like sleeping on top of a cloud.
Seeking attention, you moved closer to her until your head was on her lap, she was sitting with her back leaning against the headboard. Her hand quickly found your neck and softly traced her fingers down your skin, settling on the nape of your neck before giving it a comfortable squeeze to massage your sore muscles.
Her hands felt...heavenly, she always know where to touch you to get the exhumation out. What body points were the most prone to stress, even now her paladin training is still engraned into her soul.
Minthara's touches always held a clear declaration of possessiveness in them, a hunger that may never be sated to own you, body and soul. She embraces you as if you were her lovers in various past lives.
The sound of a pen clicking before a small scribble is added to the edge of the page in front of you is your sign to start the day. Minthara closes the book as her full attention is directed at you, a hungry look in her eyes.
Actual hunger, mind you. You see, princesses never learn how to cook, not to mention drow women nobility, and she has been waiting all night on an empty stomach so this is your sign to prepare breakfast, be it store-bought or homemade, she never makes a fuss.
Although she does make a mean cup of coffee, if you happened to like charcoal as a drink, that is. Drows had to improvise in the underdark with no coffee beans after all. Although what use would an elf have of an energy drink? You're not sure.

Another Baldur's Gate 3 Roleplaying Idea: The House Baenre Retrainer
After the concept for the "good drow", the Eilistraee Sworddancer, here is an idea for an "evil drow": The House Baenre Retrainer. She is one of the assassins of Minthara's mother. She is comparably young and holds no official rank in Lady Baenre's retinue, so Minthara doesn't know her.
She calls herself Jezzara, sometimes also Ssizzara or Shessara. She is no nobility but a classical rouge assassin from the depth of Menzoberranzan. That's why Lady Baenre entrusts her with the most delicate family matters. No one knows Jezzara and her connections to House Baenre, and since she hasn't the habit of leaving behind witnesses, it stays that way.
Her current assignment, however, is a rescue mission: Minthara has gone to the surface with her entire retinue in pursuit of some bizzar cult. No one has heard of them since then and Minthara's mother is worried sick. Of course, she can't show openly that, despite all the times those two tried to kill each other, she still cares about her daughter. That would be a show of weakness and an invitation for the rest of Menzoberranzan to use Minthara to get to the head of the house.
In fact, Lady Baerne wouldn't even admit it to Minthara. So, Jezzara has strict orders to not tell Minthara that she was sent after her, let alone by whom. Jezzara's orders are to go to the surface, find Minthara, get her out of whatever trouble she has gotten herself into, and bring her back alive; failing that, to kill everyone and their next of kin who could be held responsible for the death of Minthara and recover Minthara's body. You don't fuck with House Baerne and life to tell the tale.
Of course, getting infected by Mindflayers wasn't part of the plan, nor was falling in love with the target.
Roleplay-wise, this is a typical red-eyed drow: arrogant, ruthless, cruel. She doesn't care about the surfacers. She is here to do a job, not to make merry with faeries like Shadowheart and Astarion, let alone an abomination like Lae'Zel (a drow would rather tolerate an illithid than a githyanki). So, if companions are recruited at all, she considers them "helpers" not "friends" and plans to kill them after the job is done (the "no witnesses" part).
Because we will destroy the grove, no point in recruiting Wyll and Karlach. Gale would be a no-go too: Jezzara is a sellsword and that way quite greedy. There is no chance that she would feed valuable magical items to some wizard tramp.
While Jezzara doesn't care about the other companions, Minthara's wishes are her creed. This also includes the ending.

A beautiful webbing | Minthara
[Smut, fluff, angst, oviposition, claustrophobia, aphrodisiac, egg insertion, Drider Minthara, spiders, blood and graphic descriptions, happy end, marriage, nb!Reader]
did you hear about the person who married a drider?
The cave was bigger than any you've ever seen. Stone walls isolating a huge area of the underdark, illuminated by various plants in all shapes and sizes, from the smallest mushroom pulsing with a neon like yellow, to the biggest of trees.
The tree definitely caught your interest, its branches curled around the entirety of the cave's dome, bright silver wood hugging the cold dark stones. Various blooms in all shades of blue were scattered alongside the branches.
A haziness filled the air, specks of blue dust floating and glittering as they left their mother tree.
A sussur tree.
You took a cautious step forward, knowing that you forsake using all magic the closer you got to the cave's entrance. Whether it was your own birthright, a one earned with hard work and studies, or even a one granted from a more powerful being. It was all seeped from your entire being.
Even your equipment wasn't spared, all the enchanted swords and flaming shields became nothing by pieces of metal upon arrival. Magical scrolls becoming akin to overpriced napkins, at least those had a use in here.
The cave entrance was deliberately put front and center, as if taunting you and challenging all those who passed by.
No amount of skulls and scattered bones throughout the gardens of the cave would've done the numbers justice, the waves after waves of so called heros that came as a bitter home welcoming gift were well above the hundred of thousands.
Yet the scattered skulls barely surpassed the hundreds. Maybe they were buried deep just when the sussur tree took roots.
The day Minthara Baerne got called into a test of Lolth was the day the underdark held its breath in suspension.
One of the most promising princesses in line for the leadership of the oldest known noble house in all of drow history. Even petty drow fights seized for a single day as all eyes were directed towards her impending fate.
Yet no one knew what the test was about, was her loyalty called into question? Or was it a promotion from Lolth. Just what did the spider queen promise her.
If anything, the Baerne house accepted it as a blessing. They've always prided themselves on their loyalty and faithfulness, even their high wizard has passed several loyalty tests.
Instead of entering the cave just yet, you decide to stroll through its surrounding gardens. Appreciating every flower that blossomed through the butterfly effect of the great fall of a princess.
The disgraced princess is what they called her now. Even at her worst, many still held great fear of her in their hearts, not daring to drop her honorific title that's her birthright.
The deeper you walked through the gardens, the more evidence of the calamity you could find. Piles upon piles of aged skeletons and bones being weaved through each vine of plants.
It was eerie how all the bones were still attached together, as if their bodies were left there for the plants to feast on until nothing but a skeleton remained.
Some of them had their arms wrapped against the thorn filled vines, as if struggling to free themselves from its clutches to no avail.
You kept walking, something called for you, at the opposite end of the entrance.
Minthara's test was considered one of the largest gatherings of the noble houses. At the temple of lolth inside a massive hall, the Baerne matron sat in the front row, Minthara's father, a consort, had the right to sit next to her.
Lower priestesses of Lolth were waiting in front of the curtains that veiled where the test was taking place. Their higher sisters were inside, determining the fate of Minthara.
Her own sisters, both from full blood and half blood, were whispering amongst themselves about her possible fates.
The youngest of them, still unaware of drow customs, suggested the idea of her failing and being turned into a drider. She was immediately hushed and berated by the other sisters as they feared her words might reach one of the priestesses, or worse the Matron herself.
This wasn't the first or last test the Baerne house goes through, countless of their males were brought into their knees in front of the spider queen herself.
Yet maybe, because it's a woman this time, its implications have put everyone on edge.
You were almost at the end of the garden, a sour smell of rot and decay suddenly invaded your senses.
Visible plant roots withered the further in you went, the dirt on the ground stained bright red, it was more akin to mud than dirt. Your steps squelching through the gore and viscera.
While the sussur vines extended far beyond this spot, not a single stray leaf could make its way to the heart of this place. A small bubble where magic could thrive freely.
Devoid of any plants or life, only the remains of countless battles stacked against each other, pulling themselves down by the combined weight of their flesh.
Something called for you, it was getting stronger. You had to endure the pungent odour of death and decay.
In a small puddle of blood that has a sheer layer of magic reflecting off of its surface, a dark green mix of leaves intertwined in symmetry of needle sharp thorns. The bush seemed to thrive in this garden of blood.
A single rose could be seen deep inside the bush, caged by thorn covered steams. It demands a sacrifice of flesh to pluck the flower.
A common bloodrose, despite the name it was anything but common, two thirds of the population could live through ten centuries and never encounter one.
Not to mention how it managed to blossom while caged by a sussur tree, the very polar opposite of its existence. The nature of a blood rose could only thrive on an endless source of blood, agony and most importantly magic.
Magic was the only thing that could protect its fragile petals that are overly sensitive to any temperature changes, magic encased it from the second it was a mere budding rosette.
A sussur bloom and a bloodrose co-existing in the same garden. A miracle in front of your own eyes.
The flower is thirsty, you realise, it's calling for you to feed her.
You reach your hand towards the caged rose, the tip of your finger gets pricked against one of the sharp needles, a single drop of blood escapes from your body before your blood cells start clotting the small cut.
It's so small, you have to gently shake your hand to get the droplet to fall.
It gets caught on the edge of a petal, the flower visibly blooms more as it drinks in your blood.
You look down and see spikey tendrils retract their hold around your ankles, you weren't even aware of it when they wrapped themselves around you.
The voice in your head vanishes, you're free to move again.
As you hurry and retreat back into the lush mushroom filled gardens, the only remaining evidence of what felt like a fever dream are the trail of blood your boots leave behind on the moss covered dirt.
You make your way back to the entrance, walking alongside the cave walls.
The news of the Baerne family scandal reached even the surface, high elves were openly discussing it amongst themselves in official councils, for a week each page printed out haf in some capacity information about the princess turned drider.
Many people wondered what the matron's face must have been like, when the one that emerged from behind the curtains was a monster instead of her beloved daughter.
Was her father killed? What of her sisters?
Part of the reason the scandal was so widespread, is the sinister intentions of the other drow nobles who celebrated this stain on Lolth's favourite house, her golden children.
Yet the scholars weren't interested in the family gossip as they described it. No, they were more interested in how Minthara, a drider, managed to survive when faced with a hall filled with various drow nobles.
In normal circumstances they exile them, but this was anything but normal circumstances.
To kill her right then and there would've been the honourable thing to do, in drow's culture at least. The Matron could've easily killed her and disowned her from the Baerne house.
Some suspected love, most human scholars argued that a mother's love extended further than the worship of a goddess could.
Others sneered at the idea, especially the surface elves, how could a drow love one another? They don't even know the meaning of that word.
But maybe, it was one scholar whose theory was the closest to the truth, a half-elf. Her suggestion was that Minthara actually passed the test, which is why she wasn't killed.
Her theory was torn to shreds and made fun of endlessly after she published it.
You're back where you started, at the entrance of the cave.
Everything looks the same, as if time is a mere illusion in these gardens. The same flowery scented air welcomes you back, silver and blue particles flowing through your legs and inhaling any traces of magic it could find.
Reaching into your backpack, you take out an unlit torch. The all consuming darkness inside the cave wasn't any normal darkness you've seen before.
Igniting the flame, you head into the abyss.
The simple torch light doesn't even reach the walls or ceiling of the cave, it's massive size scattering whatever light your flame produces.
Step after step, you watched the floor carefully. Mostly because it was the only surface reflecting your light, but also in case of any webs you might stumble onto.
Each drider's web was personalised for their own use, harming anyone else but their own maker. A thin almost invisible line of silk was stretched impossibly thin and tensed to connect all the webs together, the slightest touch could send a growing vibrating alarm through the entirety of the cave system.
So you diligently watched your steps, it only took one lucky stray string of silk for your doom.
Even if you somehow managed to break free, the invisible coating of venom on them would've spelled your unavoidable death.
Through the humid air, you could still see the silvery particles flowing. Although their quantity thinned more and more the deeper you went into the cave.
Back at the entrance you couldn't even make out what the walls or ceiling looked like, but now, after you've gone through several branching pathways, the cave closed in around you.
It still wasn't anything but big by any means, much larger than a mere bear cave. But it was more comprehensively big instead of the unrealistic massive size it held at the start.
At least that was the illusion that these pathways gave you.
There wasn't a sign of life, no animals, no insects, not even a single fly. Just the silence and soft echo of your steps.
Wasn't it for the various spider webs, woven every so skillfully at every corner and turn, then you would've doubted a drider resided here.
You haven't seen her yet, haven't heard a single sound or a hint of spider legs scuttering.
Maybe she was out hunting? Maybe you got lucky and found her when she was resting?
Your flame was dying out, even if you turned back now, it won't be enough to get you back out and you'll end up lost in the darkness as you tried to navigate your way out of this maze-like cave.
There was no option but to keep going.
It was only a matter of time before the Baerne family scandal was overshadowed by some other scandal, some human wizard's attempt to ascend to divinity or something. It seemed like there's always one of them per century and they always fail, yet the public eats it up each time.
The history book you've read didn't mention what happened to him, instead jumping ahead to the other documented major news of the past century.
You didn't care much honestly, you were too preoccupied in your search for the spider princess tale origins, and that archive book was enough evidence to empower you through this tedious journey in the underdark.
History long forgotten, the Baerne family recovered and is still ruling the underdark. Sometimes something is too big to fail.
You've researched her for months, getting your hand on each and every documented work about Minthara. Even buying the overpriced drow books and papers that came out around the scandal.
With all the endless questions and theories everyone wrote about her, not a single soul mentioned the first thing that went through your mind after hearing her tale.
How lonely it must have been for her.
Drider are known for their unstable mental health, yet madness wasn't something that Lolth handed to them alongside the eight legs.
No, the madness was acquired after years of isolation, exile blurring their sense around the passing of time. One day you're surrounded by your family and loved ones, the next you're deemed a monster unfit to share society with the rest of us.
Chased out by the threat of violence, your own reflection and body altered beyond recognition at times. How cruel of a fate Lolth gifted her children.
No more walking, no more music, no more fun. You and the fate of silence for the rest of your life.
It would drive anyway crazy, yet people had the nerve to describe driders as people with a death wish. As if it wasn't the fault of the people pointing their fingers and casting their judgement.
Fear keeps us safe, fear keeps us sane.
Driders lacked all known types of fear, much like their own sanity withered inside their brain.
Your torch went out.
Flame extinguished, darkness draped over you.
All consuming, ever cold and numbing darkness. Your brain attempts to make sense of your sudden lack of vision, swirling various shapes into the pitch black surroundings, only for them to evaporate like smoke.
Faces of loved ones, monsters and even promises of an exit. Drawn in illusions as your primal mind tried to lead your path.
You knew deep down that nothing lurked in the darkness, you've been in this cave for what felt like hours by now. You would've seen something.
It wasn't possible not to run into her by now, even a normal sized drider would've crossed your path once or twice. And she was 5 times the size of a normal drider from what you've read, why else would she claim a cave this huge as her own.
With your hand stretched to take hold of the wall, you decided to keep moving forward through the darkness. Eventually you're fated to reach some kind of end right?
Whether it be a dead end or a cave end, is up to the fates to decide.
You kept walking as time lost its meaning, even when the sound of your footsteps disappeared. A soft padding covering the floor that completely masked your steps, you couldn't see what it was in the dark.
Madness knocked on the windows of your brain, paranoia seeping through the cracked glass.
You wanted to speak, to scream, do anything just to make any sound to hear yourself. To hear any sound.
You couldn't hear your own heartbeat, alarms were going off inside your head.
Were you dead? Did that plant hold some kind of poison in its spikes and now you've stupidly signed your own death certificate.
Taking a deep breath, you feel the air rushing through your lungs, you feel the rise and fall of your chest but you still can't hear a single thing.
Stopping in your tracks, your spiral of insanity came to a halt as you spotted a vague dim light in the vast darkness.
Was your brain playing tricks on you again?
You let go of the wall, desperately running towards the light, breath heavy and sweating and legs sore. You pushed your body as you reached towards the light.
It grew stronger, larger. The faint glow multiplied as another and another joined it the closer you got.
You could see your own hands again, the colour of your skin. Your own healthy and very much alive flesh.
It wasn't an illusion, but a very real glow.
A cluster of bioluminescent plants attached to the upper parts of the walls and covering the ceiling, extending into a large opening leading to a big room filled with them.
There were scattered like stars hanging up in the sky, each one is of different colours and shapes. A glistening translucent web connected them together, a faint holographic sheer shining through the web in a quiet dance of rainbow lights.
Faerie lights, the silk was enchantment with faerie light.
This room was at the furthest end of the cave, at the heart where that bloodrose laid no doubt. How else could magic survive here unless it was part of the same bubble the bloodrose thrived under.
It was vastly different from the other parts of the maze-like cave you've seen so far. The air was warmer, drier with no humidity. The walls were devoid of any sharp edges, if anything they shined like marbles instead of stone.
The soft dancing faerie lights give a colourful glow to the room. It was trimmed and carved into perfection, this room was the true heart of the cave.
Stepping fully inside, the lights reflected off of your eyes, you were almost in awe at the beauty of this place. Exploring the left side of the room, you were met with a makeshift bed, made with various soft cloths and feather filled pillows. To your surprise, the bed was more on the normal size, quite big yes but nothing beyond what most nobles had at their homes.
A lyre sat on the table next to the bed, its strings matching the ones hanging above on the ceiling.
Exploring the right side, you found…hay? Not just hay but a large cluster of various soft materials like cotton and wool, connected together in a circle of silk.
Just like any other heart, this cave's heart was brimming with life.
Dread filled your heart as you realised the true purpose of this room, it's a nursery.
That cluster on the left, you could see various eggs through the translucent parts of the silk.
You were at the nest of the drider princess.
Uninvited.
Yes you wanted to meet her but not like this, not an armed stranger intruding on her cluster of eggs.
Taking a step back from the fragile nest, something sticky caught your boots, and you fell back against the padded flooring.
Your thud barely made a noise at all, you haven't really acknowledged the strange floor until now.
Looking down, you were met with extremely thick webs, covering the entire floor. Padding the stones with layer after layer of silk that trailed even outside of the room.
The webs you've spent so much effort avoiding, you were walking on a carpet of them all this time since your torch went out.
Terror echoed through your bones, a sense of impending doom. Minthara had been aware of you all this time
You were sure no one was around you, you swore never saw her. Where could she have been hiding?
Something cold dripped onto your head.
Your limbs were shaking, your fight or flight instincts screaming at you.
Lifting your head, colour drained from your face as you looked up at the ceiling.
Red eyes met yours.
Long silver hair dangling from her head, crimson eyes marking you as her prey. Another set of eyes were further apart on her forehead, slightly smaller in size.
The upper body of the drow, a lean muscular build, clothed in armour that stopped just before her lower spider abdomen.
The sheer massive size of it was difficult for your brain to comprehend, it was abysmally larger than any other drider. A giant spider abdomen of pure blackness that acted as a huge dark mirror behind her figure. Eight legs sprawled from it, each one extremely long and thin. Sharp knife-like edges and jagged saw-like insides.
A single leg went from her abdomen, at the center of the vast ceiling, and trailed down the walls until its end buried under the thick layer of webs on the floor.
Like a bird cage trapping you in place, a gradient of abyssal black that faded into a rich imperial purple.
Various gems and gold circlets decorated each leg, rubies and amethysts being the main theme. Much like the armour she wore, it had the clear holy markings of a high paladin of Lolth. Its carvings giving the illusion of wrapping around her figure and hugging it so deliciously, when in reality it no doubt had multiple thick layers of padding and metal for a proper battle attire.
"You've finally used your common sense, p'luvt." Her voice wasn't quiet like the other drows you've met so far, in fact it was full of confidence.
Crawling her body from the ceiling, she came down from the right side of the room as she shielded her nest with her large spider frame.
She wasn't immediately lunging at you, which was a win in your book. You half expected your head to be bitten off the second you attempted to look up.
"I don't mean any harm, I promise." Dropping your backpack and weapons, you made a point to stay on the floor to not give her any false ideas.
"Harm? You think a pathetic thing like you could even harm me?" Her raspy voice held a hint of amusement, as if the idea of you being a danger to her was the joke of the century.
Minthara only needed to learn her body forward to completely tower over you, "If I had wanted you dead, I would have let the poison take you out." She leaned even closer, her face directly above yours.
You didn't move as she cupped your face with her hand, satisfied with the feeling of your skin against her sharp fingers.
Touching the back of your own head, you were surprised to be met with wetness, a sticky purple fluid. "Is that the poison?"
"No." Her thumb parted your lips, the same purplish liquid bubbled at the tip of her fang before dropping into your mouth. "That's the antidote, the walls had the venom."
Minthara seemed pleased with your obedience as you swallowed without the need for coaxing, her lips glistened with a sheer transparent layer as she pressed them against yours.
The kiss stung your lips, the feeling of an itchiness seeping into your flesh as she pushed her tongue in your mouth.
"That's a small dosage of the poison."
You let her carry you, never resisting as she wrapped her front tendrils around you.
She laid you on the bed, giving you one short kiss after another.
"Your scent is irresistible." She inhaled against your neck, "become part of something greater than your mortal life could ever achieve, become mine."
Wrapping your arms around her, the flame of desire ignited deep below your stomach as you considered her offer, becoming her mate.
You nodded, chasing after each kiss with greediness.
"Use your words." She pulled away, "swariy biu hithern d'ilr ulu uns'aa"
You considered your journey, the months of research, the length you've went to just to find her cave, the madness you've brush against back in the darkness.
Her fangs grazed your ears, "vow my ownership over you." Pulling away, her eyes held a hint of vulnerability in them as she looked at you.
Brushing a side of her soft silvery locks behind her pointy ears, you held her battle worn face so tenderly. "I vow to always belong to you."
Leaning forward, you pressed your lips onto hers. A soft gentle kiss to seal your oath with.
Minthara took your clothes off, with each newly revealed patch of skin she'd plant a kiss on. Her hands holding your body and positioning it however she pleased on the bed. Your own arousal growing the more her kisses trailed down and down.
"Ussta 'chev" she'd whispered as spread your legs, hooking your thighs above her shoulder, face to face with your most intimate parts.
Her gaze filled with hunger, the taste of your flesh still fresh on her tongue. Leaning forward, her tongue gave a testing swipe against your heat, beforehand her whole mouth started devouring you.
The pleasure was worth the pain, the rush of heat clouding your brain and making you melt. Grinding back and pushing against her mouth with desperation, all shame left you at the feeling of her hot wet tongue.
Your fists held on to the bedding below you, pulling on it the more intense the feeling got, you were quickly stumbling towards the edge embarrassingly fast. She kept her hold on your thighs, going even deeper and deeper.
Making a moaning mess out of you, obscene screams of pleasure echoing through the cave. Her fingers joined soon and collected your wetness on them, trailing down onto your hole as they push against the opening.
That pushes you over the edge, the pressing of her fingertip inside you makes your muscles tense in a rippling orgasm. She lets you ride it out against her mouth, swallowing down all of your juicies and cum.
You taste yourself on her lips as she leans forward to give you a kiss, letting you catch your breath.
Hearing a subtle sound at back her throat, akin to a spider purring. "You were made for this" covered in your own cum, her finger push inside you, opening you up as she adds another.
She watches you with keen eyes as she pushes and prodes your inside, watches your teeth biting into your wet lips, your naked body helpless on her bed.
"Take it." Minthara adds a third finger when she's sure you're ready, "take all of me, let me have all of you." It's so deep, brushing the walls of your insides and reigniting the arousal between your legs.
You see two of her spider legs moving in the back of the room, you can't focus much on them before being guided back to looking at her eyes as you twitch and squeeze around her fingers.
You're stretched slowly and deliberately, hole wet and hungry around her fingers. By the end of it, four of them can easily slide in and out of you.
Minthara helps your second orgasm by going back down on you, her mouth forcing your twitching body and milking it out of cum. Her fingers never stop prodding you as you shake and shiver from the intensity.
You've came twice already and she is still fully dressed in her suit of armour, holy symbols now soaked in your cum.
Pulling her fingers out, she leans away, looking at you with pride. "You handled this better than I thought you would, you're strong enough to bear my children."
Only then do you notice the three eggs she was craddling with one of her back legs, bringing them closer to you and setting them on the bed.
They were bigger than normal eggs, two almost the size of your fist. You could only fit a single one in your palm as you held it with a worried look.
"Does the size intimidate you?" Minthara encloses the hand carrying the egg with her own, her other hand rubbing the lower part of your stomach, "it will fit, i will make sure of it."
Giving your forehead a final kiss, she moved you with ease to lay on your stomach instead. Spreading your thighs and exposing your leaking hole to her, she insepcts her handwork with two fingers.
You grab into the pillow, burying your head into it as you feel a hard cold shell pressing against your entrance.
"This is your true purpose. Embrace it." She slowly pushes the egg in, her voice laced with lust as she watches it disappear inside you, "embrace having my children inside you, it's my right to breed you."
The egg stretches you out, completely different than her fingers. You feel impossibly filled as your hole keeps helplessly twitching against it, making the egg only go deeper and deeper.
You hear Minthara moan from behind you, the sight of your needy hole making her lose her senses.
Then the stinging feeling of a bite against your thigh, soft flesh marked with her fangs. Something flows into your body.
A feeling of lightness envelopes you, all the pain disappears and is replaced by a comfortable feeling of being filled to the brim, like it's what you're meant to be.
If anything…you still feel empty, heat quickly spreads through your body as you whine against the pillow. More. You need more of her inside you.
"Please…" your voice sounds desperate and strange to your own ears, "Minthara, it's not enough."
Her fingers go inside you to push the egg deeper, an electrifying pleasure shoots through your spine and makes you arch your back. It's almost as intense as your previous orgasm, the pleasure is melting your brain.
The more she moves the egg inside you the more you leak into her bed, grinding against the mattress cover in an attemp for relief. All the nerves in your body had their sensitivity turned up and everything feels impossibly good as her venom travels through your bloodstream.
Was it even venom that she bit into you? It feels completely different.
You're beginning for the second egg, whining and crying at the deep urge inside you to be a good mate for her, to please and appease your mistress.
Minthara looks at you with love, proud of you for knowing your place, for learning how to properly address her so soon.
She grants you another egg, pushing it slowly inside as you thank her breathlessly.
It slots snugly against its sister, filling you even more as your brain chirps with happiness at the feeling, the sense of purpose this gives you. You feel Minthara's lips against the back of your neck, whispering how good you're being, what an obedient spouse you are to your wife.
The third orgasm hits you out of nowhere, you didn't even realise it until you were squeezing your thighs together and pushing the eggs against each other. Staining her bed with your cum and making an even more pathetic display of yourself.
She seems ever so pleased.
The same clickly purring sounding again as she teases your overstimulated areas, enjoying your squirming and shaking. Your brain barely able to take in all the pleasure she's showering you with.
The final egg is left.
Minthara helps you sit back on the bed, her strong arms holding you up as you lean into her embrace, legs kneeling on the soft matteress with your tears stained face buried into her neck.
Running her hand softly down your back, she lets you cling to her for comfort as you adjust to the new position. Knowing how overwhelming this can be for you to take in, how fragile mortals tend to be.
The air of the room is still comfortably warm, the dancing lights ease your mind as the soft atmosphere helps you catch your breath. You feel safe.
The outside world completely forgotten and ignored "this is your true home" Minthara whispers, "this is your nest, this is where you should be."
And this egg, should be inside you.
After she made no move to press it against your entrance, simply holding it in her arm. You realise what she wants you to do.
You cling to her more, she kisses your ear.
Leaning forward, you stay kneeling as you spread yourself with one hand, carrying the egg in the other.
Minthara watches you with a smile.
Gravity made the other two eggs press against your hole, attempting to force themselves out. You have to push your fingers inside to get them deeper, push them up until they slot in place, until they're perfectly held by your tight insides.
Until they're pressing against where your intimate parts are, keeping you stuck in an endless cycle of pleasure.
That one spot inside you, abusing it and harshly rubbing it with every breath you take. Yet no pain or discomfort could be felt, only pleasure in it's purest forms, a mind numbing pleasure.
Your fingers go out with a pop sound, your own wetness traveling down your thighs. Minthara keeps her hold on you firm, keeping you sitting up in place.
Pushing the egg inside you, the familiar delicious stretch follows up soon. You don't think you can even close your legs fully anymore, forced to keep them open and spread so the eggs remain inside you.
When it's halfway through, is when your poor abused hole is stretched to its limits, opened fully spread so wide. Your fingers keep pushing it inside as your hole encloses around the egg, swallowing it too.
Minthara holds your hands, keeping you in the same position as you squirm while the eggs move to adjust to the new addition inside you. You can barely focus on her lips or kiss as a fourth orgasm comes crashing down on your, your vision blurring fully for a second while your brain melts.
You fall into her, she catches you. Hugging you into her body, rubbing your sore thighs where she left several grip marks.
Darkness surrounds you, exhaustion winning.
-
When you wake up, you're cradled against her chest, no armour to cover her soft flesh. The scent of lavender envelopes you as you realise all the grime and sweat has been wiped off of your body, you're completely clean and fresh.
Minthara is the same, the bed has new sheets and there is a soft melody in the air. The gentle strumming of the Lyre she held in her hands.
You're lulled back into another slumber, burying your face against her soft breasts.
-
Time passes, how much? You're not sure. You've kept track of the first few months but after the 7th, everything started becoming a blurr.
This room became your whole world, the only thing you cared for. Even when Minthara brought you back some newspapers from one of her haunts, you just used it as feed for the fire to warm you up.
The two of you fell into a complex dynamic of fragile balance. It was the most consuming and possessive kind of love you've ever felt from someone.
She truly wanted you for her own, you very own soul even. And in return she took care of all of your needs, keeping you safe and protected as you kept her eggs safe and warm inside you.
Speaking of which, she'd replace them daily. On some days you'd carry up to 6 different eggs, on others she merely tasked you with warming one. It depended on how much moving she planned for you that day.
You've explored the rest of the cave with her, hugging her upper body from behind as belt of silk kept you safely secured to her while she showed you the various turns of the cave. Occasionally taking you to the gardens outside.
There were many intruders on most days, yet she dealed with them swiftly as their bodies were quickly disposed on into the blood garden.
Her territory expanded after you became a part of her family, your safety was her main concern and she realised it's better to gather a good amount of soliders under her command to guard the outside territories.
They were drows, from what she's told you, used to be drows just like her, but turned into driders. Working with them irritated her because of how unstable they tend to be, yet something about her massive sheer size made them kneel in admiration and obey her, even when she would've prefered them cowering in fear.
Yet sometimes a gaggle of paladins would slip by, Lathander's or Corellon's or any of those so called good deities that thought it was their duty to purge all evil from the world.
Minthara wasn't impressed by any of them, if the cave didn't kill, then she'd take advantage of the protection the sussur tree offers her and strike them when they're defenseless without their precious magic.
You had plenty of books and gems to waste your time with, practising on the lyre whenever Minthara was too preoccupied to retreat back to her nest.
The bond you two shared, she's described as alurlssrin, the highest form of love a drow can give to another person.
You held her tightly each night, kissed her gently the more of her vulnerability she'd reveal to you after shedding her cold exterior. Becoming her strength when she needed someone to lean on.
One curious night, as the two of you held each other in her bed, you couldn't help but wonder out loud why she still wore the armour of Lolth after all she has done to her.
"My oath still stands" she replied, "Lolth's cruelty can take many forms, this is merely one of them."
She revealed to you what happened that night, at the test. Telling you about all the brutal trails she was put under, all the humiliation she had to endure.
"I prevailed, much to Lolth's displeasure, deep in my heart, i knew she wished for my failure." Minthara explained, "as a reward, i was bestowed with this so called gift" Minthara sneered, words like venom from her lips.
"It must have been lonely, to live like this for so long" your opinions didn't change, ever since the moment you stepped into the cave, you were still the same exact person.
"It was." She held your hand in hers, kissing your fingers. "But now, I have you. What a great distraction you are."
-
After a while, the eggs were ready to hatch. As much as Minthara tried to always keep a stoic face, the excitement in her voice was unmistakable.
She wanted the both of you to witness it, all the eggs were put in their original cluster of silk and wool. A warm hearth like fire under them, completely harmless to the touch, born from the purest of magic.
Despite the strange feeling of emptiness inside you, having gotten used to carrying at least one of the eggs each day for months, you still felt great pride and a sense of achievement at seeing them all healthy and ready to hatch.
"They will be normal spiders", Minthara explained, "Lolth prohibits all driders from reproducing."
"I know you find spiders adorable" you teased her, "how come each time one gets lost in your territory, they are let go with a slap on the wrist?"
"Well they're clearly more respectful than intruders who claim they got lost, spiders are simply superior."
She was smiling, a genuine smile, the wrinkles on her face giving her a soft glow as she admired you, the person she loves most in this world.
Her lips looked inviting, she leaned in closer to you.
But before your lips could meet each other, one of the eggs started shaking, stealing her attention away.
There was genuine awe in her eyes as she watched the egg, it was her first ever batch of eggs. The first of several to come, as she promised you.
The two of you held your breath when a crack formed through the inner layer of the egg and travelled to the outsider, two fuzzy thin legs emerging from the silk cocoon, moving around as if cutely waving.
"This one is strong, I can feel it." Minthara whispered, holding your hand tightly. You could imagine her cheering for the spider inside.
Another crack though the egg, from the opposite side, another pair of fuzzy legs breaking through.
After the head managed to break the top of the egg, the most adorable shiny dots for eyes looked in your direction, for a second it looked like the spider was wearing the egg like armour
A laugh escaped you at the uncanny resemblance they had to their mother, god they really are Minthara's children huh.
Blinking your tears of joy away, one second the spider was moving, the next a harsh crack could be heard as the spider laid limb.
An arrow, shot right at the egg from behind you and Minthara.
Your world stopped moving.
The clunking of heavy armour and swords being drawn could be heard, the stretching of a bow string as another arrow was being prepared.
It never got to leave the bow. Minthara was faster than all of them, bigger and stronger than all of them.
But this newborn spider wasn't.
You cradled it in your palm, the shell of the egg falling away to reveal the baby spider inside.
Yells sounded from behind you, flesh tearing and the agonised screams that suddenly got quiet as metal was ripped so shred. Whole bodies torn apart limb from limb like paper.
The spider wasn't bigger than your thumb, you didn't know what to do as you stared at it.
Minthara's rage didn't quell, not even after each of them laid dead and dismembered. Not even as she shoved their own arrows down their throats and into their lungs.
One of the swords slid down next to you, covered in their blood, its surface so shiny it was akin to a mirror as you stared at your own eyes on it.
A voice called out to you.
A life for a life, blood for blood.
Pressing the tip of your thumb against the sharp end of the sword, it didn't take much pressure for it to get pricked.
A single drop of blood trailed down your finger, it wasn't bigger than your thumb, you knew what to do.
You gently let it drop over the baby spider, the blood seeped into its body.
Minthara went to dispose of their bodies, scuttering quickly on the ceiling as she made her way to the end of the garden.
You couldn't take your eyes off of the spider, waiting for it to open its own eyes.
The most adorable shiny black dots for eyes met yours
Breathing a sigh of relief, you felt the little bug wash itself with your one drop of blood, slowly regaining its strength.
"Look" you said when Minthara came back, sitting next to you, "safe and healthy, it's really strong like you said."
She gently took the spider in her hand, seeing the small thing crawl around her fingers. There was a look of sadness on her face, a frown to her lips.
"I have failed you" she didn't meet your gaze, "I swore to protect you, and i have let these insects crawl freely into my house, our home."
Your hand enclosed on top of hers, "you were caught off gaurd, it's not your fault."
"No." Her brows furrowed, "I am never off gaurd. I have prepared for this day, i have tested all the webs myself."
The spider curiously went to explore the rest of the room, jumping from Minthara's hand onto the webbed grounds.
She pulled you closer to her, "I couldn't hear them in, I couldn't see them."
She was feeling weak, you knew how much she hated that feeling. For someone to best her.
"What about the sussur tree, Shouldn't it have stopped them?" You rubbed her back with your free arm, feeling one of her spider legs wrap around you.
"....I thought so too. But their magic, it was unnatural, not like anything I have seen before."
She swallowed as she continued, "the crests on their armours, the magic books they carried, it held symbols of a god I could not recognise."
"Doesn't Mystra control all magic?" You were growing more confused by the recent events
"Apparently, not anymore."
Your conversation was cut short as another egg began hatching. This time, Minthara blocked the room entrance with her spider abdomen to not take anymore chances.
The rest of the batch hatched safely to your joined relief, everything went well and you had a cluster of fuzzy small spiders running around and playing with the fearie lights enchanted silk robes.
Minthara stood up, offering her arm to you as unspoken request to let her carry you. You gladly accepted.
Taking you into her arm, she moved the both of you to the other side of the room. Placing you on the bed with a soft kiss to your forehead.
"I have something that I want to show you." One of her spider legs dug through a silk cocoon buried until the webbed flooring, bringing it up and placing it into your hand.
It was different, the silk was finer and more shiny than her normal silk. The cocoon was also wooven with great care. An embroidered symbol of a flower on the outside.
"A secret egg?" You weren't sure if you wanted to ruin the beautiful embroidery of silk.
Minthara shook her head, "open it. It's for you."
Gently prying open the cocoon, something shined below in the hollow insides. Two red petals were rolled up, each one holding a golden ring with a bright clear diamond on top.
Your heart fluttered, stilling your body as your processed the two rings in front of you.
Minthara was looking at you, gauging your reaction. Her red eyes not veiling the love and vulnerability they held in them.
"Ussta 'chev" her lips trembled as she said those words, despite whispering then a thousand times over like prayers against your heated skin in endless nights of passion. My beloved.
Drows Do Not Marry. You remember reading about it over and over in a million different books, drows do not marry but only take consorts.
Yet the rings in front of you told a completely different story.
She asks for your hand.
"You're mine just as I am yours."
You give your hand to her
"And if you leave me, rest assured it would kill me."
She traces her fingers on top of yours, kissing your hand
"Take me as your wife, forever."
Minthara places the ring on your finger, admiring the jewel shining against your skin.
Putting on the other ring herself.
You intertwine your fingers, holding her hand against yours.
The happiness that goes through your body is unmatched, it's most joy you have ever felt.
Minthara gently cups your cheek, wiping your tears away.
You lean over to give her a kiss.
The taste of her venom has grown sweet and familiar by now, it tasted like home.

oh god VERY MUCH NOT mommy kink like it’s just “funny haha” slip up
Accidentally calling them "mom"
[Fluff, platonic, nb!reader]
[Jaheira, Karlach, Minthara, Halsin, Gale]
Jaheira
"Very amusing, cub, it's still not getting you out of doing your chores."
She'd think you said it on purpose to tease her about her age or being a mother, although she is mostly used to using the hag word instead. Doesn't take it to heart.
It's probably your silence afterwards that makes her realise it was a slip of the tongue.
It honestly doesn't phase her even then. She has been called weirder stuff by some young harpers before. She won't call you out on it to not embarrass you.
It is anything. It is ironic a bit because she has been treating you and the companions like she'd treat her own kids for a while.
But you don't need to know that.
Karlach
Laughs nervously. "Hey soldier, I'm not that old yet."
Even when she thinks you meant it as a joke, she'd get a bit concerned if she's been suffocating or nagging you like a mother, not that she knew what it was like but still, she really wanted to be a friend.
Unlike Jaheira, she will embarrass you by bringing it up later, during dinner, in front of the whole camp.
"If you're dead set on it, how about big sister instead?"
She sees it as a win, she has finally fixed the situation yes. The reason you've abandoned your plate and hiding your face from Astarion's wicked witch cackling is because you're so happy to have a cool big sister like her.
Minthara
"Ihars demand respect, something you need to learn."
To her, being a mom is a position of authority more than a parental role.
You explain it was just a slip of the tongue and not you actually requesting her to act like your mom.
"It must hold some truth to slip by your guard." She'd argue.
Honestly she never had plans to be your mom, she is in her own twisted sense of humour, messing with you.
She knows how to joke, yeah, she is hip like the teens. How are you doing, fellow kids?
It's just that uh...all her jokes are delivered with a dry tone and a serious expression, which causes massive misunderstandings.
It would take you a week before you realise she was only joking.
Halsin
Happy, actually happy. "Oak father preserve you child, mind saying it again?"
You better run and find a hole to bury yourself in because Halsin is wearing that mom badge unironiclly
He doesn't even care for the title gender being the wrong one, he is a proud mom okay?
Is understanding if you explain that it was just an accident. Still asks if it means he isn't a mother figure to you?
It's a fair game if you say he isn't. But if you say he is? He'd actually feel warm inside, being this mentor or guide figure to you. It's genuinely a great honour.
Don't worry he will never abuse the accidental mom title, merely using it as an achievement or trophy to prove that he is walking the right path in life.
Gale
Chokes on the soup, he was test tasting, face red and eyes avoiding your gaze. You'd almost think he was the one who called you mom and not the other way around.
"Well- I...you see. The thing is" keeps stuttering while you help wipe away the soup he spilled all over his camp clothes.
Clearing his throat, he attempts to regain a grain of composure as he says, "With the current circumstances, i don't think I would be the best available option for your...choice of parental figure."
You feel less embarrassed about the whole situation from how much embarrassed he is by it.
You get a bigger portion of soup and food each night from now on as an apology from Gale.

Drider!Minthara awoke in me something I didn't know I had.
Can we have some more? Whether it's smut or some non-smutty headcanons about seeing that half-insane creature and being like "I can fix her"
Drider Minthara headcanons
[Century au, fluff, nb!reader]
She eats the flesh of her victims, whatever food they happened to be carrying, she gives to you instead.
Even then, the gardens outside the cave are filled with various mushrooms that would make a mean stew
She plays the lyre, to both keep her sanity intact and pass the time. She is aware that most driders fell to madness because of isolation so she picked up several hobbies to fill her time with.
Gardening, playing the lyre, dismembering passing adventures.
Her hair grew out, it annoys her a lot and she puts it up with a tie she made out of her silk but it ends up sticking to her hair and becoming a problem.
Unless you say something, she'd probably cut it very short.
She has four eyes! They all work and blink, but her upper extra two are obscured by her hair.
She can both make the venom and the antidote to it through her fangs.
She is extremely large, like genuinely her drider half is massive. It doesn't even compare to her upper drow body.
It's because technically Lolth turned her into a drider as a reward not a punishment, so she made her really big and powerful. But it barely made a difference to the drow nobles who saw her as a monster.
The eggs do have a second parent! It is not you :(
It's a random male drider that kept annoying her to mate, so she agreed and bit his head off afterwards.
Lowkey she agreed because after so long alone, she really wanted kids, even if they were just normal spiders.
The male was there just for the convenience of reproduction.
She already liked spiders a lot before turning, which made this whole deal a little less shitty for her.
She picked the biggest cave in the underdark with a sussur tree growing around it as a fuck you to the drows in the surrounding area who started moving away with time.
She doesn't need to go hunting really, the food comes to her on its own.
But in case she needs anything from the inner cities, she knows a shady dealer or two who would trade favours for small jars of her venom.
The bloodrose happened by accident, she just used the back of her garden as a body pit to dispose of corpses at. But the fresh stream of blood coming in weekly made the bloodrose thrive in there.

Dead men's thrones | Minthara
[ Dark content, descriptions of gore, choking, smut, gender ambiguous reader, after moonrise fight]
[ dark urge Reader ]
In a way, you thought, this scene did look familiar.
The same cold stone walls unburdened by the soft lighting of the candle flames, the same rows of wooden pews lining up from the entrance. Several gods had come and gone long ago, giving a resemblance of a purpose to the cathedral and religious imagery that Ketheric adorned his throne room with.
It was exactly like the first day you took a step here, the first time you really saw her truly desperate, the way they relished in breaking her. Sadistic hearts beating at the sight of a powerful drow woman almost falling to her knees.
There was nothing you wanted to do more than to bathe in their blood at that moment, only then will whatever filth they dragged Minthara into be cleansed.
And yet, when you look at her in this moment, the stone throne does suit her much more than it did for Ketheric.
Adjusting your position on her lap, you took a good look at the very put together women below you. She was whole again. It was you who pulled her over the edge, you who's path was littered with the corpses of both the innocent and the guilty, sacrifices for her sake. Be it innocent tieflings or the chosen of Myrkul.
Wrapping your arms around her neck, you leaned into her even more. Wanting to feel more of her, smell more and taste more.
With a slow drag of your tongue against the side of her neck, you bit down on the spider web tattoo that marked it. And to think you almost gave in to the urge to snap her neck back during your first time together.
Minthara's hand took a hold of the nape of your neck, pushing you further into her as if to encourage you to bite deeper.
She never shied away from your teeth or claws, in fact she seemed delighted. Maybe because she knew even a feral dog will stay loyal to their mistress. Or maybe it was the pleasure she took in disciplining you, getting you to obey and behave, but only to her.
Power and authority suited her, it was in her blood from the moment she was born as a possible matron for the Baerne house. It's so deeply engraved inside her that it might as well be a part of her.
She thinks she is incomplete without it, and so you'd gather all the power in the world at her feet like any loyal dog should.
Pulling away from her neck, you met her crimson eyes with your hunger filled ones. Moving your hips against her thighs, wanting her to touch you, finger you, fuck you, choke you, stab you and even murder you right here and now. To your holes filled brain, every option seemed even more arousing than the last.
You were burning too hot, the primal urge inside you tearing at the seams of your brain and threatening to pour out in a parade of gore and sex.
Maybe she sensed that, she was always exceptionally good at reading people, too good at seeing through you.
The same hand on your nape guided you back to her, anchoring you amidst the raging river of bloodlust just like you anchored her amidst that storm in her brain merely a few weeks ago.
Her delicate lips met yours, slowly giving you a taste of what's to come. She took her time as she kissed you with deep passion, a controlled calm pace to match your hungry desperate one.
Your noises echoed through the empty room, the two of you were the only souls left in the entire tower.
The more she kissed you the quieter these voices became, the calmer the river's stream turned. How expertly she stole the lead from you and made you melt on her lap, how the taste of her lips will be the only thing you'd be able to remember on your deathbed.
Would she be next to you then? Or will her toll come before yours.
You hoped that the thought of death stealing you away from her would fill her with jealousy, that the envy at seeing her favourite pet be taken would be enough to convince her to take your life herself.
A shiver ran up your spine at the idea, heat pooling between your legs as you kept seeking relief with your movement on her lap. If you had no choice but to go out, then parting with this world through her hands was your catharsis.
Her other hand spread your legs on top of her even more, fingers pressing against your lower stomach and slightly pushing your needy insides against each other. Trailing lower and lower at an agonising pace, feather light touches teasing you and toying with you.
It was getting harder to contain yourself, leaking through your clothes and dripping against the stone seat of the throne. Each of your legs were hooked on an armrest to keep you open for her.
Yes, this was definitely a much better use for this throne than whatever Ketheric was doing with it. It was meant for Minthara to sit on as she made a leaking mess out of you, one that'd surely stain it.
Part of you would kill to see the look on his face now, alas corpses weren't known for being very animated.
But maybe if you hadn't killed him so fast, dragging him in front of his own throne as he watched the mad dog and their mistress indulge in various acts of blasphemy.
Tainting the paladin's holy room of prayer and worship.
Your cum and his guts, that was the perfect decoration this room was missing.
Breaking the kiss, Minthara eyed your clothes before looking at you expectantly. Removing yourself from her lap as you stood up, you stripped off everything that might get in her way, completely naked and defenceless as you sat back on her lap.
Her own clothes and leather armour were freshly out of battle, blood covering it and latching onto your skin the more you pressed your naked body to her.
It was intoxicating.
A satisfied smile painted her lips at your obedience. Her hands start feeling up your body, squeezing your thighs, feeling the inside of your hips, teasing the sides below your waist.
She was focused on you, eyes memorising every curve and blemish on your skin.
Reaching your chest, she toyed with your nipples and squeezed, making them even more sensitive the longer she went on.
Arching your back, your hands trembled with each flick and pull. Breath getting heavier as she unravelled you completely with a simple fondling to your chest.
More wetness collected onto the stone below, maybe if she leaned over and bit them you'd actually finish completely untouched.
But her hands retracted, leaving you a panting mess, much to her satisfaction and amusement
She was getting off on this, you knew, nothing got her pussy wetter than her power over you. Nothing made her ache more than having you naked at her mercy while she held the end of the leash to your collar.
Electric pleasure shot through you as you felt her touch between your spread legs, her hand soaking in your mess as it moved against you.
You moved your hips to meet her rhythm, grinding against her hand.
Nothing else mattered in that moment, nothing but the way pure pleasure numbed your brain and quieted your thoughts. Her fingers felt just right as they soothed the fire in your core.
You felt like you never wanted her to stop, even after you become an overstimulated sensitive mumbling mess, even if Bhaal himself came through these doors right now, you wouldn't want her to stop. Gods be damned.
The sound of your obscene moaning filled the room, not a grain of shame in your mind as you let Minthara know how much you enjoyed this.
You were getting closer.
You were getting closer and she is still fully clothed.
You were getting closer and the fresh dead bodies awaited just outside, in the halls.
You were getting closer and there was still a tadpole in your brain, squirming and threatening to burst tentacles through your skull at any given second.
You were getting closer and the shadow curse still loomed outside these walls, threatening to swallow the two of you and marking this throne as your gravestone.
You were getting closer and still can't fucking remember anything besides your own cursed name since the second you awoke on top that damn ship.
Her hand sped up, your vision blurred.
The holes in your brain, who did it, who the fuck did this to you.
Your moans got louder.
You're almost there, pain and pleasure mixing together, intoxicating agony, the white flames from the depths of Stygia itself bubbling through your veins as the burning ice of Cania bled down your throat and spread through your lungs.
Her other hand took a hold of your throat, never stopping her relentless pace.
You're going to cave their skulls in, you're going to peel off their flesh and sew it back on. You'll drown them in a puddle of their own piss and blood, you'll pluck out their eyes and force them to swallow it. You'll stomp out their face until none of their features are recognisable anymore. You'll perform all kinds of vivisections on them as they watch their organs extracted before choking them with their own colon.
There's a burning in your lungs, you're out of air.
Her grip on your throat tightens.
You've never felt greater pleasure before.
With a final stutter to your hips, your orgasm sparks through you like an explosion, tensing every muscle in your body as it sets it on fire, melting your bones and blackening your vision.
Minthara releases your throat.
Her wet fingers press against your lips, after you regain your breath, covered in your own cum.
You lick them clean, tasting yourself mixed with traces of blood.
Guiding you by the nape again, she kisses you softly. Putting you back together after completely tearing you apart, making you whole again in her embrace.

I’m a lesbian (tho gender is a bit Complicated so idk if I should call myself that) but I do love the idea of Minthara x male drow reader because the Forgotten Realms wiki describes a “functional” romantic relationship between a female and male drow as “a spoiled brat and her well trained, obedient dog” and this is fiction so 😌
Also the idea of him leaving the Underdark with practically an army at his back to find her, he’s scary and ruthless and commanding, but the second he finds her he’s just like “yes ma’am, whatever you need ma’am”
Anon we should trade braincells because this idea is fucking gold.
Drow Male Reader, who was just for her during her days in the underdark. Like any other servant Male in the Baerne house, battle runs through his blood, he was shaped by war.
Who Minthara claimed you as her prize from her first ever successful surface raid. Her red eyes landed on your figure between all of the other males and announcing to the matron of the house that she wanted ownership over you.
She was ruthless, never allowing you to show even a hint of weakness. Breaking and reforging you into the strong capable warrior that you are today. You were hers fully in body and mind, even after a full day of brutal training, she'd still expects you to be laying ready for her on her bed each night.
You've known her body more than she has, given her pleasure more than she thought was possible. You've made it your sole purpose to memorise and trace every curve and mole on her painting of a body.
Part of the reason she kept around for so long was because she could see clearly how determined and willing you were to serve her. While other princess switched males every other month like toys, Minthara has always made it clear that you were off limit. That you belonged to her.
You've never betrayed her, even with the pathetic attempt of the uprising happened you still stood by her side. Watching the other males be cursed into driders without even a hint of sympathy for them, to you they deserved a worse fate for even thinking they could lay a finger on your mistress.
So imagine when in one of her raids, a one she refused to take you on, saying how it would be a matter of a couple days at most before her return, she never comes back.
You're restless, barely even acknowledging your own statues as you march into the matron hall and voice your concerns for Minthara. Ready for whatever punishment your disrespect will ensure if it meant you get your lover back.
Somehow, through various methods of blackmail, backstabbing and even begging or seducing, you accumulate a big enough army to march it into moonrise towers. Having sniffed information from some half-orcs your intel kidnapped and tortured.
Not even the shadowcurse deters you from moving forward, even when half of your army dies or flees in cowardness.
Fate has it that you manage to infiltrate the tower and be at the perfect spot to be able to view her argument with Ketheric. That fucking male faerie who dared to sit down on a throne whole your Mistress stood. That sorry excuse of a walking corpse that dared to threaten her life and make her argue for it.
Immediately after it ends, you signal for your remaining army to march into the tower. Hundreds of drow warriors emerging from the Shadows as they clash with the absolute followers.
You don't care for them or their lives, your main objective is to get to your Mistress and get her to safety.
In the aftermath, when it ends, when it's just the two of you in a far away camp safe from the shadowcurse. You kneel against her legs as you offer your apologies for taking so long, she pats your head, spreading her legs to make space for you.
And like any loyal dog you immediately obey and sit on the floor between them, your head on her thigh as she holds your face with her hand.
An unspoken trust between the two of you.

I think if someone were to bite Minthara on her neck tattoo she'd go feral
Fun fact: her neck tattoo is the crest of house Baerne.
Not only is it the strongest and oldest house in all of the underdark, but the one which had an Archmage too. It's the most favoured by Loth and was the first ever noble drow house to exist. It's been there as long as the underdark was a thing.
Minthara was a Baerne Princess, she was in line to become the matron mistress of the house.
Her tattoo not only sets fear and terror in the heart any drow she might ever meet, but would literally allow her to do anything and go anywhere she pleased in the underdark.
Yet she turned her back on Lolth, someone from house Baerne? That's unheard of. But yet Lolth still kept her paladins powers even whe she changed her oath, which shows just how much house Baerne is beloved by the spider queen.
So yes, not only would she go feral if you bite her tattoo. She who is so untouchable and having the symbol of her power between your teeth.

Imagine Minthara met free human reader who actually live in Menzoberranzan for the first time and got flabbergasted lmaoo
— RED anon
Minthara picking up the random human she saw in a shop by the nape of their neck like a feral cat: how much?
Drow store owner: they're a customer, they're not a merchandise.
Odjwidd she'd be so confused for the first few minutes, trying to decipher your clothes or look for any tattoos or pins that migh revel what house you're from.
So you mean you're totally free? In here? A human? Just when she thought she saw everything. She tries not to show how curious she is on why you're here and how you even managed to survive so far.
Expect a lot of backhanded compliments. You're certainly brave, for a human
You don't look half bad, for a human.
Huh, you really adapted well into drow culture
For. A. human.
The more you talk to her the more interested she is. Tell me human do you have a purpose? A job yes?
Well tell the owner she demands you get fired, yes it's a direct order from house Baerne. You should come work for her instead, she will definitely pay you better than whatever your old employer was scamming you for. She'd actually use drow payment rates.
Slowly finding herself strangely fascinated and attached to this human, maybe a bit more protective then she'd like to admit.
If this was before the surface raids, then she'd occasionally call you into her personal chambers under the guise of information gathering. When in reality she just wants to hear about the world above, the sun, the skies, and the ocean.

18 year old Minthara with that 8 intelligence, not realizing the Matron meant for her to get like a pin or something with House Baenre symbol on it. NOT WHOLE ASS NECK TATTOO.
strolling up for breakfast that morning in pride
Baerne Matron: Just a small gesture to single your house statues to the other drow nobles.

I had two thoughts that I can't stop thinking
First was like the obvious like girl dad male drow and Minthara. Cute, Intense TM couple and their warrior daughters. But the second thought was like would it get angsty if Minthara had a son?
Dude i literally had this exact same thought when i answered the ask.
Minthara in-depth Character study + Media literacy 101 below cut.
[Tw: themes of abuse discussed]
First of all
Characters are tools.
All characters are not real, Minthara is not a real person. She is pixels, Minthara can't abuse or be abused because she isn't real.
What she can do, is be a tool or a puppet to tell a story about abuse.
Second of all
Evil characters are not bad characters. Morally wrong characters are not bad writing.
A character doesn't have to be good, moral or have a redemption arc. A character only needs to be compelling, interesting and dynamic.
Third of all
The writers aren't horrible people or freaks for putting a character through trauma or shitty events. Their job is to make an interesting story and not a life guidance manual for newborns.
These shitty events happen to real-life people. Go direct your energy to helping them instead of fictional characters depictions that allow safe exploration of dark themes where no real people are getting harmed.
I'm so proud of you for understanding this. Here is your complimentary media literacy degree. 🎊
Minthara was written to be a typical drow, she was never meant to be the good drow that stands out or rejects the brutality of drow culture.
The drow twins in sharess caress are the unique good drows that completely opted out of drow culture.
Minthara was never meant to be that, no matter how much you twist her or try to look for a deeper meaning. At her core, even after abandoning Lolth, she still abids by drow culture rules for her own personal life.
She is aware of how cruel it is, she accepts and likes it.
Sure, some aspects she hates, she isn't really a huge enthusiastic fan of it. But she likes it enough to still apply it even when she is outside of the underdark, it shows in how she treats Gale or the other people who aren't companions.
Now a final thing to keep in mind.
Minthara adores us the most, as in us the player, not Tav, not Durge, not anyone. Doesn't matter who you end up picking or if you even pick an origin character, as long as you follow her questline, she admits to you being the person she admires the most.
That child is ours too, the player.
Because of that, we can never truly see Minthara as she really is. All of our view of her are wrapped and biased Because she is literally being her nicest self around us. We can only get glimpses of how cruel she is to strangers in stray conversations or throw away lines. Even if you have low approval with her, she still admires you the most.
She is a lawful evil character.
As in evil evil and not Astarion grey evil.
Astarion approves of bullying a child, Minthara approves of killing a child.
And that to me makes her a very compelling and interesting character, I love her dynamic and personality. Much like how I think Cazador is an amazing character because of how good he is at being a tool in a story about cycles of abuse. He more than fulfilled his role which makes him a great addition that shouldn't be changed, redeemed or watered down.
So about the child.
In Minthara's datamined lines, it is clear that she plans to enforce drow culture rules on her child no matter what.
They are abusive by nature, yes.
While some might think a son would have a much worse time than a daughter, I disagree.
While Minthara would resent having a son for how useless she deems males, at the end of the day he will meet her expectations of being a complete waste of space and pregnancy. Kept there for breeding for the bloodline.
But if a daughter doesn't meet her expectations? Do you realise the implications of that. Minthara a previous Baerne princess birthing a weakling of a female drow that can't even yell at someone without crying? Minthara would rain hellfire upon her.
It's more than a shame, a complete disgrace.
Her daughter is supposed to grow to be strong enough to kill her and take her place, that is the cycle of life.
Also about the child itself, you would still be the other parent.
The relationship with Minthara in the game can be controlling and possessive at times. And to remind you, that is the toned down version of her flaws because again, she adores us.
But i don't think it's far fetched for her to do most of the work when it comes to actually raising the kid, she likes to be in control.
Also side note, i have been only talking about her evil side and flaws so far and I wanted to remind you that she isn't just that. Her personality has so much more and there is depth and genuine love in her, it's something that we are also her first ever romantic love. And let's not forget on how she even encourages Gale in act 3 to leave Mystra. Minthara isn't a black or white character, she is a fully flushed out and filled with many complex concept tool.
She doesn't want to break the cycle of abuse, that's her major flaw. It's not something she seeks or even attempts to do. It's not even a debate to her, she simply acknowledges it and lets it be.
Her good ending is starting a new noble drow house with durge for fucks sake.
She cherry picks which areas she "breaks" from. Lolth worshipping for example, and she only extends respect and love to her companions. While the rest of the world gets the same treatment from her that they'd get from a typical drow Matron.
Okay note over, so proud of you for still reading btw, you're an excellent student. Have this imaginary star sticker on your brain.
I have so much to say about her that this post barely even scrapes the surface of what I think about her.
As long as you, the player, intervene and show her that parenting is both of your responsibilities, then I think you can really smooth down a lot of her sharp edges.
I mean the same argument could be said for Laeze, isn't training a child to fight at 12 also a form of abuse?
Not a single one of the companions is equipped to be a parent, not at their current states. Maybe Halsin tho, he has the best potential to be a parent stand in. Tho he has a major flaw of not realising that having too many kids means your attention will be spreadthin and that is a form of neglect abuse. Goodmeaning or not, he won't be a very good parent because he underestimates his capabilities in favour for naive optimism.
I've side tracked a lot ngl.
But yeah that's the jest of it, Minthara would be a shitty mom. Like it or hate it, it doesn't matter because she isn't real and she isn't a mom. She is a tool to tell a story about a shitty mom and she is succeeding at it.

Feel free to ignore this as even I think it might be a bit silly but I saw you would prefer sfw instead of nsfw... and honestly I am not a very creative person so its the type of to sweet fluff I usually keep in my head.
Post final battle
-Shadowheart- (Sorry but she is the absolute best girl)
Noble Tav background who does not care much for family riches but still after the events absolutely insists in building Shadowheart their home. Shadowheart reluctantly allows it, maybe even annoyed that its taking forever and Tav is hardly ever around. How long would a normal small cottage right? Thats what Tav promised. Turns out when Tav finally proudly presents their new home.. she built them an actual small mansion. Bc you know Tav has unrealistic views on what is small/big or a normal gesture/grand gesture of affection/commitment. But finally in her life actually feels rich with Shadowheart at her side.
- Minthara -
is a bit difficult because im not sure on if she is allowed back into Menzoberanzan? If could do the same of above or maybe instead offer to take the Baerne house back by force?
Like I said feel free to ignore it, if it is to silly or just one or the other.
-undecided anon
You're bold for telling the person who assigned each bg3 companion a Minessota competition flag that something is too silly.
It's not silly anon, it's beautiful and wholesome. My first ever Tav had a noble background and I used to fantasise about this too.
Especially the Shadowheart one because we ourselves get to go into her destroyed village and see the broken homes and the rubble. We get to read the diaries and books of all the people who immediately had to leave their homes.
Imagine Shadowheart's family who finally reunited after so long, you wouldn't want to burden them with having to figure out where to live or where to go.
Like that village probably was a human one, and I doubt her father is welcome back into his elf grove after having a half-elf child. Not to mention her mother doesn't have much time alive.
Noble Tav that fully funds the rebuilding of the village, fixing the windmill and securing the nearby settlements from any goblin or intruders. Fully giving Shadowheart's parents their old homes back.
Also it's just a theory but do you think her father is the blacksmith? The one who invented the sussur tree weapon recipe? Elves and smithry tend to go hand in hand sometimes and the fact you can only enchant daggers, sickles and swords aka weapons that elves commonly use, make me suspect it more.
Not just for Shadowheart but for all families that suffered during the invasion of their village. Shadowheart would probably tear up from joy at being back at her childhood home alongside her parents even if she can't remember it.
For Minthara, I don't think she is allowed back in the underdark.
I mean she can still go there, no one will stop her. But the assassination attempts will skyrocket tenfolds. House Baerne is the last ever house you get to insult and live to tell the tale like she did.
She does want to establish a new house eventually and take revenge on her old house, kill them before they kill you type of situation.
I'd imagine a noble Tav being her patron for all of this, using their absurd amount of wealth and the weight their family name holds to establish a very stronghold in the underdark.
Minthara being the Matriarch of that house, having Tav sitting all pretty on her lap in the throne room. The founder of the this new drow house and one of the most influencal and richest nobles being absolutely smitten with this one drow women. Obediently laying on her lap as she keeps a possessive hold on them. The closest thing a drow Matron ever got to marriage.
Funding all her princess needs and personal army while being spoiled by her lips and possessive words by night. Giving her all the power she could ever need and more.
also as a last one, i still take nsfw requests! So please don't worry about it or feel reluctant if you want to send nsfw stuff. I never write anything I don't want to write.
The themes in my work change a lot, sometimes I prefer writing nsfw while other times sfw. I still like both by the end of the day, think of it like the current trending page in my brain.
