mint's monday muse #11

another monday, another mint post. welcome back to everyone's favorite series on this blog :smilege:

some update; i somehow managed to write a lot, despite my very very tight schedule, so i guess you can expect something for this month? but still, don't expect much from me like usual HAHAHAH

last time, i talked about aespa's flowers and almost immediately, i got reeled back into this song. i really enjoy some of baekhyun's stuff nowadays, especially this one. just the chill vibes in general that it gives and also the vocals AUGH SO GOOD-

i think this song instantly became one of my favorites is that it comes down to my hectic life, where i'm always presented with unexpected things, which is why i tend to lean towards a more lofi/r&b type stuff to calm myself down during these times. so i suggest you guys should check it out! :D

Oilslick is far more Azurill than Ralts/Grimer in his genes, though his other genes gives him quite the unique look for an Azurill! His tail is far shorter than most, but his tail orb is incredibly buoyant, allowing him to keep afloat. Honestly, it might end up a detriment due to how buoyant it is when he evolves and starts needing to dive for food. It'd be like trying to shove those boogie boards underwater! He's quite the sweetheart, and a complete cuddlebug. Just watch out, he WILL leave you with a slick of thick fur, congealed together with a thick liquid.

Smoke is far more Ralts in his genes, but he can swim pretty good despite his body not giving him the best for floating atop the water surface. He tends to stay indoors anyway, not liking the feeling of the sun on his skin. He'll grow out of it, but for now, he prefers staying indoors.

29/07/2024-Young Black-headed Gull, purple loosestrife, views on a beautiful day, great willowherb and Mallard on walks at Lakeside Country Park today.

Gatekeepers, Meadow Browns, Holly Blue, Common Blue, Green-veined White, Speckled Wood, Purple Hairstreak, young Robin and fresh young Moorhens, my first Grey Heron at Lakeside for ages seen well still and flying, Great Crested Grebe, Lesser Black-backed Gull, Magpie, gorgeous Swifts and House Martin gliding against the bright blue sky, wild carrot, bird's-foot trefoil, gypsywort, water mint, mugwort and nightshade were other highlights at Lakeside today with Jackdaw and Goldfinch enjoyed at home.

oH MY FUCKING GOD AHAHAHAH you are so right!!! and he uses it so often that it ends up all dented and dinged up with scuffed corners and scratched up paint, just an absolute mess. but he hangs onto it—because my baby sister got this for me, you know?—until the little hinge gets all busted from his constant abuse and it is rendered, quite literally, unusable (and he tries, he tries to keep using it even with the broken latch that keeps swinging open, but when he loses several pills to the depths of his pockets and the warehouse pavement he decides it’s time to ask you for a new one).

pretty much done with the charity techno drawing and very happy with how it turned out ayee

gonna do some smaller art stuff and skribbles soon again then but no more full illustrations with background and all for a while i guess it just takes wayyy too much time in my current state to finish these even semi regularly its ridiculous OTL

so june is probably gonna be filled with more character design sketches and some headshots and then we gotta see how things will go after my appointment to get my wrist checked out (that is doing much better atm but is always quick to tingle and hurt again hhh) very prepared for a long art break during summer but who knows how itll go c:

DID is annoying when the alters who handle work aren't really around as much due to life changes, even if those changes are temporary... We got an email from our boss asking us why we haven't made a lot of progress in our work yesterday, and, like, I don’t know how to do my job. The alters who do work have all been MIA... I have a language barrier because English is my second language (compared to the others, who consider English their first) so communication for my work is also difficult. I wish my system was more stable, this isn't the first time we've had issues with work due to our work alters not being able to front.
