Do you have a favorite rain code fanfic/fanfics on ao3?

I don't mind shouting out a few Rain Code fics I've read or am reading! Gotta give some love to my fellow writers! Most of the handful of fics I've read are for Viviakou so uh prepare for a grand majority ending up being about them. In no particular order:

I'd be amiss not to mention the story gifted to me during the Viviakou server's secret santa, A Snow Day in Kanai Ward by Lady_Morra! It's super sweet the whole way through, and the dialogue is on point!

I've been keeping up to date with Hearts Without Chains by SweetLilacScribbles and BrattyBoyWrites with each chapter posted. I'm a huge sucker for high fantasy, and the worldbuilding for this story has enraptured me. I can't wait to see it to the end!

Prologue: Massacre on the Castle Grounds by IcyonIce is another Rain Code AU with a super interesting set-up so far! It was a pleasure to work with them and have my OCs cameo, their character writing and fight scenes are wonderful!

Passing The Torch by mintandvanilla gives me the Vivia and Yakou's wife interaction I yearned for. Bittersweet with a twinge of hopefulness for all your post-game needs!

I thoroughly enjoy all of Safe In The Nocturne by DraconicSparkle so far. I'm super excited to read what's next for the lovely found family. Their dynamics are so heartwarming, the scene of Vivia comforting Yuma in particular made me melt.

LOOK AT THESE MOMENTS THEY HAD TOGETHER IN GAME. LOOK AT HOW MUCH YAKOU CARED FOR VIVIA.

Look at how soft Vivia treats Yakou in the mystery labyrinth. How can you deny their obvious chemistry together for the meme ship. Also look at the works they have on ao3! They are great!

Plugging in my favorite as propaganda and stuff but also I love these so fucking much.

All of these works and plenty of more on ao3! Sanskoto sounds like a fun ship and I'm certain I'm going to see a lot more meme shots but let's have Viviakou run a lot longer!

Preeny - Preeny has to Repeat 6th Grade (@/MomoDriller on twitter https://tapas.io/series/PHTR6G) preeny seems like the kind of kid to wear loud bright colors completely unapologetically. the bottom is floofy so she can like twirl around and the skirt will floof around, these things are important

Teekko Chirault (@varethane https://chirault.sevensmith.net) again. very important to have a dress that when you twirl around it will fly all around. really i just wanted to dress her up nice cause she deserves it. all the gold details n frills. and a cute cape.

Tsukiko 2 Slices (@firehouselight https://2slicescomic.com) tsukiko seemed like she'd go more for relaxed bohemian than really dressed up, so i went with that. a lot of orange imagery cause.. you know.. and i wanted bright colors bc she is a bright n lovely girl

I would want my comic’s theme song to be an original song written specifically about the characters. But if I had to pick a theme song right now, I’m not sure which one would suit it exactly. Something punk-rock. I do have songs in my head sometimes that I think of as sort of theme songs for certain characters, like how “Natural�� By Imagine Dragons would kind of describe Kairo the way he is now, but later on, “Bird With a Broken Wing” by Owl City would describe him much better. For Kat/Sunstrike, maybe “Undefeated” by Skillet, as well as “More” By Matthew West. The only song I can think of for Evan/Bluemist specifically is “Ambivalent” By Eve(edited)

This is always a loaded question for me because my comic is ABOUT music and I always go overboard when I make theme and character playlists, oooooooooops!!! Of course, like ShaRose, the dream is to have original themes for all my characters, and eventually I would like to hire a musician for that, to help me compose full OSTs for characters and scenes. I don't really have a general theme song for the comic but I have some for the characters. This is recent but I picked this as a theme song for Silver: Ghost Lights by Woodkid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-U_uAicAjh8 The drums at the start of the song makes me imagine Silver walking in an empty hallway walking to somewhere that she only knows. The chorus fits her motives very well:

"What is your character afraid of?" for elmir

A LOT OF THINGS REALLY

This can vary per au but since this is a RESA question hereee we go

He fears typical things like death or losing those he cares about or you know TMV and Magnolia getting into a big war or something like that that obviously won’t happen but some more personalized fears are, for example, really messing something up. Like reallyyy. He has a tendency to mess up with little things, but he gets scared sometimes about messing up bigger things. What if he screws things over for himself or his siblings? What if he gets them all mad at him? What if he somehow loses all his friends because of some mistake?

Oh boy and a big one is his parents. He doesn’t live with those emotionally abusive shits anymore but what if one day they sudden reappear in his life again and I don’t know somehow tear down everything his family has done to get away from them forever and live an abuse-free life. even if not they just scare him in general because to him they are scary and terrible people that should never have been allowed to raise children.

Oh also Callisto scares him now. It was just kind of freaky when a child suddenly claims to be Jirachi and offers you a wish and can teleport shit??? like what did he get himself into??? hopefully nothing but… that was a legend??? he thinks???

Something else relevant to RESA Elmir is stuff related to the fact that he’s kind of wealthy in the group… he’s kind of afraid of all the negative things that might be associated with it. Like people judging him differently or people targeting him for it. Which is part of the reason he tends to make no deal out of it besides the fact he likes to just appear normal.

TMV is also kind of scary because everyone is so violent and wants to get into a fight and a lot of sketchy people live there. Just a big nope.

Anddd I think that’s a pretty fair list so yeah that’s some of elmy’s fears for you
