What are the biggest losses between the manga and anime? I just finished watching mp100 and I'm curious what the manga has!

ok biggest losses are kind of hard to define because like. anime and manga are two inherently different mediums and there are a good amount of cuts that improve pacing and then a good amount of cuts that people sort of argue over the merit of so im just going to go for biggest differences. i would also highly recommend reading the manga just because it is a pretty different experience tonally along with the minor plot differences and cut scenes + theres a bunch of omakes that both flesh out characters that dont get too much focus and have some really good bits in them. putting the rest of this post under a cut bc i ramble

mogami arc

this one is kind of inescapable i feel like but the anime version of the mogami arc had a LOT of things trimmed for a couple different reasons. season 2 already got an extra episode in order to do the fire scene as a cliffhanger so with the way things shook out the director had to choose between a. cutting a bunch of stuff out of separation arc to make it one episode so mogami arc couid stay three episode or b. cutting a bunch of stuff out of mogami arc so separation arc could stay two episodes. imo they made the right choice, whats even the point of adapting mob psycho if you dont get confession arc right, but some of the cuts to mogami arc will be dearly missed and others will be fought over to the end of time. cuts include:

minori being established as a brat in a video everyones shown and the video being part of how reigen deduces shes possessed (reigen deducing her possession in the manga is generally just a lot better done and after you read the manga the scene in the anime feels so awkward because you know whats missing

the psychics deciding to band together to beat this little girl to death to save themselves and shinra stepping between them to protect her and getting utterly thrashed, not by mogami, but his fellow psychics

reigen trying to convince mob to leave without him and call for help while he distracts him which leads to this

the general mogamiland section lasting a lot longer and being more brutal (notably the stray cat mob feeds getting killed in front of him)

mob getting fucking torn to pieces by spirits during the fight instead of ambiguously dying offscreen

generally would recommend if nothing else reading the manga version of this arc and confession arc because i feel like these are the only two where you lose like. a significant amount of the story and themes from the cuts. speaking of....

2. WHY THE FUCK DID THEY CUT THIS I WILL BE MAD UNTIL I DIE

maybe its just because i reread this arc on its own probably 50 times before the anime came out but this is the only arc where the cuts actively piss me off because there is absolutely no reason they had to do it. they cut a bunch of important shit, left in things that didnt need to be there, and added scenes that contribute literally nothing to the overall point. if they just did any one of those things or combo of two of those things i wouldnt be as mad but it feels like they put a bunch of filler in then speedran the actual story

cut #1 that pisses me off: HOMOPHOBIA?????

THERE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A HEART IN HIS EYE. WHY DID THEY NOT INCLUDE THIS. THIS IS THE CULMINATION OF TERUS ARC. THIS IS HIM SEEING THE PERSON HE HAS IDOLIZED AND DEIFIED IN HIS HEAD AT THEIR LOWEST AND STILL CHOOSING TO LOVE HIM, AND THROUGH THIS HE IS CAPABLE OF BEING LOVED EVEN THOUGH HES NOT PERFECT BECAUSE NO ONE IS. WHY WOULD YOU CUT THIS?

cut #2 I NEED WHOEVER CUT THE DIALOGUE FROM THE FIRST PANEL IN PRISON

the lack of inclusion of the first panels dialogue along with the cuts to the mob and shigeo conversation (WHICH WE WILL GET TO) make me think the person who adapted this arc fundamentally misunderstood what was happening. this line. is. THE POINT. THIS ISNT SOME SEPARATE SCARY THING. THIS IS MOB. HE IS CHOOSING TO DO THIS BECAUSE HE IS SCARED AND ANGRY AND HURT BUT HE IS IN CONTROL OF HIS ACTIONS AND ALWAYS HAS BEEN.

cut #3 HE DOESNT WANT TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR HIS ACTIONS

this entire conversation is so good and i was looking forward to watching it voice acted for so long and its just. gone. for me the "i am shigeo kageyama who are you" reveal felt like a gut punch because the opening being "i knew i would be needed" made me go "oh hes like possessed or his powers are sentient or something" and this conversation was the slow unraveling of my view of these as two separate people and instead as a scared, traumatized teenager who has convinced himself that the parts of himself he hates are something else outside of his control instead of an intrinsic part of who he is because if he's convinced that the parts of him that are able to feel desire and frustration and anger and malice are him then he'll lose all these relationships he's worked so hard to cultivate as his perfect, non confrontational self. and of course that isnt true. all his friends and loved ones are making their way to the center of a damn hurricane because they see he's in distress and want to help him. but he cant see that so he pushes them away. ugh. mob. protagonist of all time.

so the scene where reigen takes his shoes off is supposed to be a lot more solemn bc like. taking your shoes off before killing yourself is a trope in japanese media (ive heard it started in media and bled over into real life but i might have it backwards?). reigen knew he was probably going to die. anyway i cant take this scene seriously because of this edit

3. World Domination arc

so WD arc is in a very interesting place where it had a lot of scenes cut but unlike the other two most of the cut content youre like. yea probably best not to include that. ill start with the good content that got cut then go into the weird content

serizawa got his power drained by toichiro. i am quite sad this scene didnt make it in because its sorta heartbreaking

teru fighting off the claw assassin is shown and we see that teru can both make shadow clones AND hold a barrier while attacking, he seems to be the only esper with this ability!

the reason dimple could tell mob's family was alive is that there was no sense of grudge at the house which would have been left behind by people passing in a violent manner

mob briefly goes unconscious during the start of the toichiro fight and dimple possesses him and says "shit"

dimple possessing mob shoots shibata with a gun

we get mukai lore.

it doesnt make any sense and just raises more questions but we get it.

toichiro has a team of telepaths to recap where everyone is because this arc took an entire calender year to update

literally everyone shows up to fight shimazaki. i cannot stress enough how many people show up to fight shimazaki. it would be faster to list espers who dont show up to fight shimazaki

the middle school delinquents show up and start fighting the claw grunts literally completely out of no where and this is never brought up or referenced ever again

when mob and ritsu get home ritsu says all their stuff is in boxes and they need to hurry and redecorate the house before their parents get home which implies that shou packed the entire households worth of belongings into boxes and hid it somewhere before lighting their house on fire which is such a funny mental image that i cant even be mad at it. loony toons ass plot point.

4. other random interesting cut things

takenaka is just generally more of a bitch during alien arc. "ah i think they took him" remains one of the funniest goddamn panels in the manga

alien arc overall is a lot funnier in the manga, i have a slight preference for the manga version just bc theres a lot of really good bits that didnt make it to anime but the anime version is so heartfelt and nostalgic it makes me happy

between omakes and small things that got cut or changed for the anime teru just feels way more fleshed out in the manga. like. anime teru is a completely different person. its hard to explain if youve never read it.

the all girls school part originally went right before the ghost family stuff and was the beginning of mob's existential crisis about why spirits and people get different treatment but tbh it works well where it is i just wish it werent. like that.

the scene where ritsu and teru shake hands was teru draining ritsus power which he seems to have learned to do from encountering ???%

End of Round 26 - Tov’s Log

Tov (?) vs. Akane (?) -> ??? Win

Late into the night, Tov settled on Towards The Sun as her song.

It was fitting, considering Wren’s words of encouragement to her in the hospital.

“The Sun is a star too.”

Tov didn’t know if she was capable of becoming the Sun just yet.

The shadows of Round 24 and Himei’s death still loomed long over the path ahead of her.

But that message — Tallis’s song — maybe that could be the Sun for now.

Something to keep her going.

While Tov couldn’t write sheet music or lyrics, she knew how to mix music. It was likely the only reason she did well in Music Composition.

She wove the melody Tallis wrote into the last reprise of the chorus, after the music swelled and the stripped-back instrumentals guided the song to its end.

A natural enough transition that only someone listening for the difference could hear it.

Tov hoped it would work.

They were dressed the same, her and Akane. White dresses and stars.

Tov sang of the Sun.

Akane sang of the Moon.

By the end of the round, one would eclipse the other.

As the last notes of the song faded, the score calculation began.

Akane didn’t look at the screen.

Tov couldn’t look away.

She tried her best to appear only mildly anxious, maybe even moderately so.

But the white knuckle grip on her microphone was a dead giveaway to how she truly felt in the moment.

She only had to wait for score calculations once before, with Minori.

With Lark, there’d been no need.

Akane was a strong opponent. An honor student back in Anakt Garden.

Tov knew it would be close.

The ticking sound stopped and the screen displayed their final scores.

Her heart sank into the pit of her stomach.

50 - 50

A perfect tie.

The first of the season.

Tov couldn’t even remember what the protocol was for a tie. Her mind was too scattered to think.

No—

Not too scattered, too scared.

This is it.

She thought, chilled to the bone.

I’m going to die here.

Nyx and Dian are going to watch me die here.

Solei and Aurien are going to watch me die here.

Cassio is going to watch me die here.

Wren is going to watch me die here.

Movement in Tov’s periphery caught her attention and she turned to look, only to find Akane walking off the stage and down the stairs into the crowd.

“Akane?” Tov called out. Her voice was swallowed by the ruckus of the crowd.

The bright lights made it harder to see beyond the first few rows of seats, but she kept an eye on the long train of Akane’s white dress.

She stopped in the middle of the aisle and pulled something metallic out of her pocket.

A gun. Tov thought as Akane aimed the weapon at a crowd member.

How many times has someone gotten their hands on a gun this season?

She didn’t have time to even finish her thought before Akane pulled the trigger.

A loud crack echoed through the crowd.

Her target fell out of their chair to the shock and horror of those around them.

Fuck! No—

Tov knew what was coming next.

She could only take one step toward Akane before another gunshot rang out.

Akane’s head snapped sharply to the side and she collapsed to the ground in a bloody heap.

Her veil fluttered in the air for a moment longer, then came to rest on her body like a funeral shroud.

Tov fell to her knees, covering her mouth to muffle a scream.

The crowd erupted in applause.

Her own portrait stared down at her from the scoreboard:

Honestly, Tov and Akane having the first 50/50 tie of the season is so fitting given how similar they are (older contestants, star motifs, wearing wedding dresses, etc.)

Also it’s pretty ironic how the first time Tov sings about something other than grief she nearly loses lmao

You find yourself in a dark room. How you got here is a mystery. You can't remember a thing. The only light comes from a small red dot in front of you. Curious, you draw closer, only to realize it's blinking from a keypad in the middle of a safe. Three question marks are on the keypad screen. Instead of numbers, the buttons are blank.

You press one of the buttons. A penguin appears in one of the boxes on the safe. You jump back in surprise, before realizing it's a screen. The whole safe is. Each button corresponds to a section on the safe. Each time you click the button, a new penguin appears, scrolling through the list until the first penguin is back.

"To open the safe, find the right penguin that goes in each section," a disembodied voice instructs you. "I suggest not getting it wrong... or else the safe will explode."

So that was reassuring. Except you had no way of knowing which penguin goes in which section.

"You'll find out soon enough, don't worry," the voice said. It sounded like it was smiling. "I believe in you."

"Except..."

"People might not see this."

"Which means you'll be stuck here forever."

"You can't leave until you've solved the safe."

Well, you thought. That's just fine. I'm an idol. People will see. It's fine.

An idol that gets penguins punted at them? What kind of idol is that?

Were you even sure people will come looking for you? Minori? Airi? Shizuku? They hadn't so far. And even then... Minori was off losing her head somewhere. Airi was getting hit by meteors. Shizuku was... directionally challenged.

How could you be sure any of them would find you?

Well then.

I guess the only way out of here is to crack the safe.

Whumptober Day 24 - Collapsed Building

There I Met Your Voice Again

MEIKO has a special cabinet in Crase Cafe where she stores the strongest liquor. None of the kids are supposed to touch it, and she keeps it a secret from An and the others.

The cabinet is only opened when all the adult virtual singers— so the versions of herself, KAITO, and Luka from everywhere except School SEKAI— are together and something serious has happened.

If this didn’t count, then who knew what did.

MEIKO had felt it, before Kohane came in tears to tell her what was going on. A new rec center had opened up, a convenient walk from both Kamikou and Miyajou. Both Akito and An’s friend Haruka had been training there when all of sudden, the building just collapsed.

They were the only ones injured, both left in comas and unable to wake up. The effect on the SEKAI when they lose a pillar of it, even like this, isn’t immediate, but MEIKO knew the change in the air.

Her counterpart from the Stage SEKAI clearly felt the same way, wordlessly arriving. MEIKO chased the kids out and opened the special cabinet.

“How’s Minori?” MEIKO asks.

“Distraught,” Stage MEIKO says, throwing back shots of vodka while MEIKO makes herself a rum on the rocks. “How’s An-chan? She was friends with Haruka and Akito so…”

“I haven’t seen her,” MEIKO says. “I haven’t seen them all at once since.”

“The others are trying to see if there’s a way we can call to Haruka, maybe get her consciousness back to her body.”

“You think that’s the problem?” Reportedly the comas they were in were abnormal, but something tying into the SEKAI would be rare.

“It’s worth a try, isn’t it?” Stage MEIKO says. “Besides, it gives them something to do other than worry.”

“Yeah,” MEIKO says. “We should probably head over to Empty SEKAI after this, Ena-san’s probably upset too, it might be affecting them.”

“Miku knows they won’t come over themselves,” Stage MEIKO mutters.

Suddenly, there’s a weird flash of light, and the two MEIKOs are in a different SEKAI, one they haven’t seen before. Standing before them is a Vocaloid they don’t often see around them.

“µ?” MEIKO gasps. “What’s wrong?”

“MEI-chan and MEI-chan!” µ says, tears forming in her eyes. “I’m sorry!”

“What are you sorry for?” MEIKO asks, warily. µ was well intentioned, certainly, but she was… naïve, sometimes. As if nearly destroying the world wasn’t enough proof of that.

“W-well I heard about what happened to your kids,” µ says, “and I wanted to preserve their consciousnesses like I did with Marie-chan–”

“Wait, Akito-kun and Haruka are in comas because you trapped them in Mobius?” Stage MEIKO says.

“No! They were already in comas, this was just to make sure they didn’t suffer any long term consequences from lack of brain activity, it’s just, something went wrong and their consciousnesses… fractured.”

“Fractured?” MEIKO asks. 

“I’m asking Ritsu to work on it, but I think they might be scattered across your SEKAI so someone has to get them all back together.”

“µ, I swear–” Stage MEIKO says, but MEIKO stops her.

“Thank you for telling us µ. We’ll try and find the fragments of their consciousnesses. But in the future, please let us know before you want to help.”

“Ritsu’s working on it! We’re gonna fix it!”

“I know you will,” MEIKO says, before they’re returned to Street SEKAI.  

Stage MEIKO just grabs the vodka bottle and starts drinking. “Why,” she says, wiping her mouth, “does she have to be like this.”

“She’s got more of a connection to the Metaverse-Es than us,” MEIKO points out. “She’s constantly exposed to a much wider array of human emotion, of course she gets mixed up sometimes.”

“And because she can do that, who knows how long Akito-kun and Haruka will be in comas?”

MEIKO can’t exactly argue with that.

“I’ll go tell the others,” Stage MEIKO says. “And I’m taking this.” She tucks the vodka bottle under her arm and heads back to her own SEKAI.

After locking up the liquor cabinet, MEIKO calls the others to tell them the news. 

Akito arrives first.

“Akito!” MEIKO gasps, “there you are!”

“Akito?! Akito you’re ok!” Len and Rin run up to him and start bombarding him with questions. 

“Where have you been?” “Shouldn’t you be in the hospital?” “Does Toya know you’re ok?”

Akito blinks. “The SEKAI has a hospital now?”

“What?” KAITO asks. “Akito what are you talking about, in the real world you–”

“Real world? We can’t go to the real world.” Akito says. “Did you seriously forget that?”

MEIKO has a bad feeling. “Akito, who are you?”

“Eh? Akito Shinonome?”

“And what are you?”

“A Virtual Singer? Duh? Are you ok?”

MEIKO curses under her breath. 

“Wait, I’m confused,” KAITO says. “Akito, that isn’t funny. What’s going on?”

“I just had a talk with µ,” MEIKO starts, but KAITO’s eyes glaze over. 

“Actually, nevermind,” he says.

MEIKO rolls her eyes. “This is fine, we’ll just take him to µ and–”

“Sorry I’m late!” an unfamiliar voice says. A girl with blue hair and a jean jacket arrives. “What’s the important meeting?”

“Hey, Haruka,” Akito says. “Mostly they’re asking weird questions.”

MEIKO’s mind is racing. Haruka-chan is here, not her own SEKAI, and wearing street clothes. That makes no sense, unless…

Without a word, MEIKO rushes over to Stage SEKAI, and practically collides with her other self.

“I had a–

“--feeling something was wrong,” MEIKO says. Behind Stage MEIKO, there’s something that confirms her concerns. A second Haruka, in her idol outfit.

“They’re Virtual Singers,” MEIKO groans. “So there’s one for each SEKAI.”

“Oh I was scared you were going to say that,” Stage MEIKO says.

“Let’s call everyone.”

AU where Minori gets an on-screen character arc after Mogami.

She still attends her current school, but she ends up meeting Mob again somehow and starts heading to his school after school to watch him do Body Improvement Club things and hang out. After getting familiar with "poor people" school, she starts using her dad's money to improve the school, but she doesn't tell her dad but everyone is assuming it's her dad writing the checks 'cause his name is on it. Cue her father showing up, wanting to know how they even got access to his money in order to "steal it" and the adults who work at the school are freaking out because he's threatening to have people arrested or sued, and Minori shows up to hang on campus only to recognize the limo outside the school and panics. She finds her dad and begs him to stop making a scene because she's afraid of what Mob'll say if he finds out. Mob has no idea that Minori wasn't given permission to use her dad's money that way, so when he sees Mr. Asigiri, he thanks him for all he's "donated" to the school, and Mr. Asigiri of course recognizes Mob and starts backpedaling because it's the boy who saved his daughter.

"Of course, uh, anything for . . . ?"

"Shigeo Kageyama," Minori pipes in.

"Yes, anything for Kageyama-kun."

Mob smiles really big and blushes a little but thanks him again. After Mob leaves, Minori's dad says he'll talk to her later and then apologizes to the school staff and calls his lawyers off. After that, Minori isn't allowed to use the checkbook at all, but he does ask her if she wants to transfer schools so she can be with Mob more often, and she takes him up on that.

She's trying her best to be a better person, and she and Mob hang out and become friends, but unsavory rumors start circulating around the school. Minori is able to handle the ones about her, but the moment she overhears someone talking shit about Mob, she loses her temper and physically kicks their ass. Tsubomi walks by and decides to intervene, so she grabs Minori to pull her off of the girls she's beating up, and Minori, without thinking about it, throws a punch at Tsubomi's face and nails her right in the nose. Minori and Tsubomi haven't met yet, and Minori has no idea about her connection to Mob. The fight keeps going until Ritsu, as student council member, shows up after discovering the fight and, wanting to avoid getting himself hurt while rescuing Tsubomi, tries to use his psychic powers on Minori, which is not appreciated at all. Minori keeps making a scene, and Dimple is just hanging around the school/Ritsu today, so Ritsu ends up asking if Dimple could possess her for a bit just so they can guarantee no one is going to get hurt anymore, and Dimple agrees. The non-possessed kids discuss whether they should get an adult, but Shigeo, who has been running with the club today, runs by and senses that something is wrong, so he comes over and immediately can sense that Dimple is in Minori, and he gets angry over it, yelling at Dimple to get out of Minori right now, and Dimple obeys, and Dimple tries to protect himself by saying Ritsu told him to do it, which is true. Minori starts crying once she's no longer possessed, and she's covered in scratches and bruises, so Mob pulls her into a hug and tells her that it's okay, he's here now. The two girls Minori was beating up lie about getting attacked unprovoked, and Ritsu points out that Tsubomi's nose is broken, but Mob is still on the possession thing and is angry at Dimple, then angry at Ritsu when Ritsu claims being possessed isn't that big a deal, then Mob gets angry enough that he snaps at them that Minori is a former client of his and that as a result she's been punished enough.

It's really dramatic in my head, but I don't have the time to write a proper fan fiction. But I like the idea of Mob and Minori being protective of each other, and Mob walking her home or having her for dinner at his place, and maybe Minori's dad takes the whole Kageyama family out to dinner. Mob x Minori with background Ritsu x Tsubomi and probably one-sided MobTeru where Teru does have this huge crush on Mob, then Teru meets Minori and realizes he and her have a lot in common, but it's her who gets to hold Mob's hand.

Scrapped ideas for Robokasa

1. Minori and Saki were work rivals.

Originally, my idea for Minori was that she was also a robot tech. Haruka, Airi and Shizuku were originally robots build by her to make a robo-idol group. But since Tsukasa's team was a robot theater troupe, Saki and Minori would be rivals.

2. Mizuki wasn't gonna die

The scene where Mafuyu kills Mizuki was very different and less violent in the original idea. What would happen is, Mafuyu would hack Nene to send her back to Rui as she kidnaps Mizuki.

3. The way Rui found out about Nene Being A Robot

So do you guys know that one scene in The Owl House where Eda gets her head cut off and Luz thinks she's dead but then Eda speak and Luz screams? That's what I planned for the reveal but I thought "No, this is literally a copy of The Owl House. I'm not gonna do this." The scene's origins was that after Tsukasa fell in the river in Chapter 1, he would lose control and go berserk. Cutting Nene's head off in the process.

4. Kanade was a robot

The original roles for Honami and Kanade were that they were both robots, programmed to be sibling singers/sister singers.

5. The different trio

The Robot Trio is Emu, Mafuyu and Akito but before that I planned them to be Emu, Saki and Toya. Of course, since I wanted Saki's reveal to be later in the story, the trio would be changed.

6. Ena's death

Ena wasn't gonna die. At least in the origins. Akito would be killed before her and Ena would investigate her brothers disappearance before being killed by Saki.

Note:Hello again! Sorry for the delay but this chapter was kinda difficult to navigate and work with(I actually had to delete a lot and start over).

Anyway, only one more chapter to go, and the story on my end is finished:). Now there is only one question for the ending since I have two options I am unable to choose from. So I won't spoil anything let's just divide them into Extreme angsty and normal kind of angsty (Chose wisely if you guys wanna decide)

Chapter 04

Minori was an interesting person. She always was and will forever be a mystery to me. She talks without a care in the world and if she loses a limb because of her mutation she always has a weird thing to say. So incredibly proud.

Sometimes I would like to be more like her. Someone proud of my body as it is, someone too proud for their own good.

"Minori!" I called while picking up a hand from her. "Minori, I mean it come here and get your hand!"

I heard fast footsteps approaching on the creaking wooden floor. Someone was breathing heavily and leaning against the doorframe. The door slammed open with so much force it made the shelves unsteady.

"Sorry," she said out of breath "I just wanted to-"

"Lend me a hand"

She chuckled before sitting down exhausted on the floor "Exactly", thumbs up in approvement.

I hand her her hand before sitting down beside her. The splinters of the wooden floor pushed uncomfortably into my skin.

Like they couldn't afford to sand them from time to time.

"Anyway... What do you think?" She asked while grinning widely.

"About what? Your guy? Eh still think he is not good" I shrugged

"Yes well... I uhm..."

"What is it?" I asked looking at her, squinting my eyes.

"I really really love him like... Actually... I know he is bad. Not a good guy in any way... But ya know... Harima is actually pretty gentle... With me at least"

"I don't actually have to like him though, right?"

"No, but... It's getting pretty serious and I would like for you two to get along"

"Like how?" I asked already feeling weird, like my biggest fear coming true.

"Like... Pregna-"

"Okay"

I was not able to look her in the eye, staring at the ground with no expression. the only thing I felt at that moment was her eyes staring into me, confused.

"Are you serious? This is your reaction?" She stands back up, looking down at me with the most disappointed looks I have ever seen on her perfect face. Her usually spotless face was twisted in a way I never thought would be able to.

"I... I'm sorry I don't think I can react better right now..." I could feel my gut twisting and cold sweat running down my spine. Regret filled me up that I said that the moment it left my mouth. Hearing the words of the doctors repeated in my head like an endless loop.

"Can't you just be happy that I am happy?!" She yelled.

"I am afraid I can't right now"

"You know what?! Fuck you! Don't call me" she stomped out of the room. Her words stung like venom in my veins.

The worst part is I felt like she meant it. To never call my closest friend again, only because I was incapable of showing my happiness to her.

The tall heels clicked on the cold metal floor of the hallway. Stomping with wide steps and a burning rage inside of me.

My shoulders back, chest out, and chin up as I swiped the card and typed in the code on the lock.

Bursting through the door I practically ran up to one of the guys who most likely was responsible for this mess.

"You overscheduled me" I spat, tapping my finger warningly against his chest.

"Excuse me?"

"I will not excuse this stupidity! You have thirty seconds to get him off of this chair or I will claw your eyes out and do it myself!"

"This is an exe-"

"It's not and even if it was you have no right to overschedule my precious time. Twenty seconds"

"I can have you removed by force!"

"Fifteen" I warned, gritting my teeth. Talons ready to strike the taller man.

"Hey, you! Get her out of here" the guard yelled towards another one.

"No uhm... She is right, it says in her contract that we cannot overschedule her"

"Five"

The guard gave me a furious look before he waved his hands and some guys took Shinyo off the chair. Pulling him carelessly over the ground because Shinyo had no strength to hold himself up.

"I dare you to do that again and you will beg to have never been born at all" I spat before walking away with the other guards and Shinyo.

The walk was thankfully short and they immediately left us alone once I stepped into the cell after them. They didn't even chain him up again, which only means they had done a terrible job.

"You would think that people working here know what they are doing, but of course, there are always people like them who have no clue what their job is supposed to be" I complained while pulling up a chair to sit down.

Silence.

"What's wrong?" I turned around in my chair to face him, still standing at the spot they left him.

"Nothing"

Lie

"Aye..." Why did I copy him?

Again the room fell quiet. At this point, I would find it more relaxing if he would sit down instead of standing like a mannequin in this empty room.

"I know this probably isn't relaxing right now but this was not supposed to be a-"

"Don't tell me" He said, staring at the floor, eyes wide open. "Because if you say it now it will haunt me more than ever"

"Alright... Uhm... What did you eat?" I asked, fully turning around to sit more comfortably in the chair. Trying to ease the waters by focusing on the better parts.

"Snake," he said with a flat tone.

"You know I actually came around to try it, since you always talk about it and stuff and I must say it isn't the worst"

"Since when do you eat animals?"

"You make it sound weirder than it is" I chuckle stretching my arms and back. "I just have some trauma that I never worked on"

For the very first time since we walked inside, the room had a comfortable atmosphere. A thick uneasiness still filled the air, but way more manageable.

But even the almost execution was not able to shake off something that wasn't there before.

"I have never seen you that angry before, was almost hot" Shinyo rasped with a suppressed chuckle.

"Sweetie I am hot" I laughed with a smirk on my face "But really I just hate people not taking my rules seriously"

"Your rules?" He asked

"Yeah, I am the first therapist that they ever hired. Took way too much work to get in here and maybe if I go back I wouldn't work here in the first place" I looked down to Shinyo with a soft expression. No snarkiness or arrogant atmosphere surrounding me that can make blood boil hotter than Endeavour's butt.

"What would you have done then? You are pretty good at tormenting people from the inside out and apparently also from the outside" he asked, sincerity in his sharp eyes.

I laughed at his comment. Feeling pride rise in my chest for getting a compliment from him, a compliment that was meant as an insult but felt sincere.

"Therapist wasn't my first career choice if I am honest I-" I stopped for a moment, contemplating if I should tell "I wanted to be a singer"

"Singer?" He repeated. "Just a singer or like an Idol? Ooooh! Do you write your own songs?" He asked unusually interested.

"I also write yeah. But I stopped like uh... Four years ago? I had a fight with my best friend and we were a duo at a burlesque bar and after that, I didn't dare to go up on stage again" I rambled, feeling all the pain from our parting rise in my chest again. Gnawing at my heart.

"Aye, suppose that makes sense" He mumbled.

A quiet room was always either comfortable to dwell in or one of the most horrible feelings you could have. Around half a year ago we never had any of these unpleasant silences anymore. Now they only hold a pleasant comfort, like sleeping in with a lover for only five more minutes that turned into an hour. Listening to only the breathing and heartbeat of each other.

"Can you sing? Like now"

"Come again?"

"Like can you sing something"

"I don't know... Haven't sung in quite a long time"

He shrugged, lips curling into a grin "Aye but in that case, you have a good excuse for why you sound horrible"

I laughed at this with a smile. With a sigh, I started thinking about something I could sing.

"Any wishes?" I asked not sure what I should choose. There were too many good choices.

"If you've been in prison for this long anything would sound good as long as it is something"

"Alright, then I'll just choose what I like"

Taking a very deep breath I stand, preparing myself to sing after all these years.

Curling my lips and taking another moment to breathe before I just started singing whatever came to mind.

I wouldn't even have said that this was my worst performance. Sure I started off a little shaky with my voice and way more timid than what I was used to but I would give myself at least a decent.

After my song, there was a moment of silence. A phantom echo of my voice filling my ears and brain.

Shinyo whistled and clapped his hands.

"I expected worse."

"Oh fuck you"

"It was pretty good"

He complimented me. Shinyo complimented me, like actually.

"Thank you very much, I appreciate it" I grinned sheepishly. Rubbing my arms before sitting down on the floor with him.

"People tend to not give a single crap about stuff like that"

"What? Skill?"

"Yes actually, they just see well... A pretty woman, a pretty mutant woman that barely has any resemblance to a mutant"

"Doesn't sound like the worst thing that can happen, at least you can get some advantage out if it, sex sells after all"

"I know but nobody wants to be seen as a meat sack to be used however they like. Especially since mutant people as a whole have it difficult enough"

"Aye, you tell me"

"No offense or comparison but people with uteruses who are mutants have it even worse. They wanted to ban abortion and while I agree that it is a difficult topic it is very much needed nowadays"

"But they are killing children" he argued, not actually meaning anything bigger behind his words besides him wanting to challenge me.

"Well technically no, but let's say a guy that has like a cement type of mutation and is in a relationship with a nonmutant. The potential child could kill them because the body isn't made to carry babies that heavy"

"Aye but many would disagree and legal abortions are hard to come by"

"I have a brain that I use. Even if I personally would never get one doesn't mean there aren't times when it is the worst decision to be made"

He clicked his tongue "Aye, sure"

Things have changed a lot between us two. He seemed a lot more comfortable when we talked now.

The same applies to me, talking with him was the highlight of my day. I even stretched the times for as long as possible. Maybe it was getting too cozy inside of here. I should not talk with him so much about my private life and my own beliefs. Even if it was already too late now for changes.

"Greetings!" I extend my hand to the man with the black hair. "The name is Howashi Amaya, I wanted to talk to you in private since you barely say anything to anyone"

"Fang Li" he growled, eyes sparkling with anger that changed when I stepped closer and sat down. "You smell"

"Hopefully good, I showered this morning and put on deodorant and perfume," I said almost feeling offended by his comment.

"You smell like him"

"Excuse me? Do you mean-?" I asked, having the feeling he meant Shinyo.

"Takami, yes"

Picking on my nails and pushing my lips together I tried to calm myself.

"Do you know where he is?"

Silence.

"We need to find him, the government is already chewing on our heads"

Silence and staring into my soul.

"Even if you only tell us a small hint that would be more than enough, you have no reason to cover for him and we might get you out of here sooner"

"I don't care"

Sighing as I stand up, climbing on top of the table to move closer to his face. Scrunching my nose and pointing at his face.

"Listen, I don't wanna do this-"

"You are lying, I will not tell you"

"Why? He betrayed you, if it wasn't for him you would still run around freely"

"I-" he stilled. Biting his tongue not to tell anything.

"Believe it or not but I would rather be doing something else as well. He.." I stopped for a moment before adding in a low whisper "He deserves the freedom as long as he would stop causing so much commotion"

"I'll tell you one thing and you tell me why you smell like him"

That would be a tough one. Having only one question is not enough, and asking for everything would not be possible with someone like him, he would probably shut it down as more questions.

"Where is he going?" I asked, hoping this was the best question to ask.

"To one of his clients where he is bringing his latest goods, I don't know the location"

Not helpful but a deal is a deal. I have to tell him regardless.

For some reason, he still eyed me differently, like he saw me somewhere else before but couldn't remember where.

"Is something wrong?" I asked leaning back again.

"Do you work in the Pink cavern?"

"Sometimes"

"Does it not belong to this Harima guy?"

"Since three years, yes" I answered without moving a muscle.

"Shit" he growled.

"Howashi" a voice that I believe to have heard too much recently. "A word"

Following the tall number two pro hero into his office while everyone stared at us surely was not something everyone was able to live through. I even hoped no one needed to.

Yet only one part about this made my heart beat faster. He knew something or at least had a feeling about something I was not too keen on telling even when my life would be on the line.

"What can I help with?"

"Cut the bullshit" he spat "Did you help him?"

"Help who with what?"

My hands felt shaky.

"Did you help Takami escape"

My heart was racing.

"Why would you think that?" I asked calmly.

"Who else?"

"Imawashi maybe"

"Don't lie to me"

"I didn't"

"Oh yeah? Then why the fuck was he able to escape then? No one just walks out of there, you and I both know that"

I had to be a better liar for now. No one needed to know I was there that day.

"I know that and I didn't help him. I have no idea how he did it but when you have the answer please call me"

Suddenly Magical Boys?! - Ruikasa Week 2024

Day 3: First Meeting

(ft. Colofes magical girl au & mentioned of April Fools 2024)

Magic was something Tsukasa never really considered in life.

It wasn't that he disliked fantasy. No, complete the opposite. He loves fantasy. His favorite plays and stories are fantasy. But he has his limit. He's not a child anymore. He's 17! The perfect adolescent age! He's too old to wish upon a star! He has things to do! Places to be! The cafe to run! Auditions to go!

...

He has an audition to go!

"TOUYA! MINORI! I'm going now!" Tsukasa tossed his apron, accidentally hitting Touya in the face as he reached for his jacket. "There's the pecan pie in the oven!"

"Good luck, Tsukasa-senpai." Touya waved his hand, not even bothering to remove the apron from his face.

"You can do it, Tsukasa!" Minori cheered as she rolled past him on her rollerskate to carry a pudding order.

Tsukasa flashed them a smile as he ran out of the Booo! Cafe. His mind has only one target. There was no time to take in the view of the town Tsukasa had come to be acquainted with in just a few months. This town known as Kazamatsuri is a town at the foot of a mountain. While it is different than his modern hometown of Tokyo City, it doesn't lose its charm for its very environmentally conscious inhabitants. It is as if you're living in a forest; greenery in every corner as the gardening committee takes their positions very seriously. Thus, the air in Kazamatsuri, despite being more advanced in technology, is still as fresh as when you live in the countryside, making it a perfect town for his sister, Saki. It was also a coincidence that their other siblings, Touya and Kanade, also live there.

So now all of them live under one roof and Tsukasa, of course, being the responsible older sibling, took it upon himself to take care of them. Booo! Cafe, where he works together with Minori and Touya, is his source of income as Saki and Kanade help in their own way; Saki with her alien investigation team and Kanade with her band.

But when the local theater, the Devil's Manner, decided to do an open audition for their new production, Tsukasa knew he couldn't miss it.

And thus how he finally arrived at the venue, nearly out of breath. Darn, his legend almost ended before it could begin.

"Alright!" Someone clapped their hand, gaining everyone's attention. A blue-haired man stood in front of the auditionees along with a purple-haired teen who Tsukasa was sure is a the same age as him. "Welcome, everyone. I'm Shion Kaito, the head of Devils' Manner Theater. And this is Kamishiro Rui, our director." 

Already a director at that young age?! Ugh! It was like a stab in the heart for Tsukasa. He needs to do better! He hadn't accomplished great anything yet!

"We'll start with introducing youself." Kamishiro clicked his pen. Oh, wow. His voice is kinda nice- what the heck, Tsukasa?! Get over yourself! "Starting from the right, okay?"

Tsukasa nodded to himself. Alright. First impressions are important. He has to go big.

"Alright." Kamishiro pointed at him. "Your turn."

Tsukasa cleared his throat and stepped forward with a hand on his chest. "My first name is written with the character for ruling, and second with the character for pegasus." He spun around. "I am Tsukasa Tenma, the soaring pegasus born to rule the showbiz world!" And stretched out his hand toward Kamishiro. "Allow me to take my first steps to stardom on one of your stages, and I shall repay you with a plethora of incredible shows the crowds will fall in love with!"

Kamishiro's eyes widened ever so slightly. Good. He made him speechless. "Incredible shows, you say?"

Tsukasa nodded. "I am not merely a star, I am a supernova! I am the miracle-bringer! And now, I am at your service! Give me any role, and I will perform it to 12,000% satisfaction!"

Kamishiro giggled. "We'll see about that, Tenma-kun."

Hours went by and Tsukasa could finally breath. The sun has started to set as he stepped out of the theater. It went better than he expected. Stardom here we come!

'Hey owari wo koete zutto paatii wo Hey mawaritsuzukeru meriigooraundo'

Oh, that was his phone. He picked it up. "Hello."

"Onii-chan!" It was Saki! "How was the audition?"

"It went great!" Tsukasa cheered as he started to walk away. "We'll just hope for the best for now."

"I knew you could do it! We should celebrate! Pizza and movies?"

Tsukasa nodded. "Pizza and movies, as tradition. I'll grab the drinks. Any request?"

He could hear Saki's shout followed by some mumblings from presumably Touya and Kanade. "Milk tea for me and Kanade and Touya wanted iced coffee as usual."

"Alright them, I'll see you later."

"See you!" Tsukasa smiled at his phone screen. He might be the oldest sibling, but that doesn't mean the little ones won't help him back. They only have each other in this town. Tsukasa would do anything to protect them.

To protect. To keep their smile.

He has to...

It's all he can do...

And then, the world shifted. 

Dong... Dong...

"Eh?" Where did that bell come from?

The wind picked up. A cherry blossom petal hit his face.

And then, it happened.

Runes of white light hit the street. 

A kid carrying a soda can tripped on top of it, but before his mother or Tsukasa could help him, time stopped.

Everything froze in a red hue like the sky. An old lady walking a street. Teens roughhousing playfully. A vendor selling takoyaki to a little girl. Nothing moved.

Except for Tsukasa.

"What the..." He looked around, dashing to find anyone who wasn't frozen. "What's going on?!"

The earth cracked and when Tsukasa turned around.

A giant baby with sharp teeth. "OkAy, pRePaRaTiOnS CoMpLeTe!"

A floating ball with millions of heads stood. "ThErE ArEn'T MaNy pEoPlE BuT It'S EnOuGh. LeTs hAvE ThEm."

"ChOw tImE! ChOw tImE!" The baby opened its mouth and people started to glow, covering them with white flame. The flame got sucked into its mouth.

"ItS So dElIcIoUs, sO DeLiCiOuS!" the baby cheered.

"DoNt tAlK WiTh yOuR MoUtH FuLl." the faces scolded it. "ShAmE On yOu."

"OkAy..."

The heads also opened their millions of mouths and sucked more flame from the people.

And Tsukasa just froze there. He couldn't move. Too much in shock.

This must be a dream. A nightmare. A hallucination from the build-up of nervousness of the audition.

There was no way this was real.

"There's no way..."

One of the many faces on the ball finally noticed him. "WhAt iS ThIs? A HuMaN StIlL RoAmInG ArOuNd tHe rEd nIgHt?"

The baby stopped its feast to turn to Tsukasa. "Is iT A MaGiCaL GiRl?"

"CoUlD Be. AnD A StUpId oNe tHaT Is."

The baby giggled and loomed over Tsukasa. "NoT GoInG To tRaNsFoRm?"

And he couldn't do anything as its hand wrapped around him. "CaUgHt yOu! NeVeR HaD A MaGiCaL GiRl bEfOrE. ChOw tImE!"

It opened its mouth and Tsukasa could feel himself getting sleepy. Flames came out from him and flowed into the baby's mouth. 

Oh. 

This is just a dream, isn't it?

A nightmare.

He'll wake up, right?

Someone... Saki... Touya... Kanade...

Wake him up, please.

A twinkle appeared in the distance.

And a shooting star hit the baby in the face.

It screamed, releasing Tsukasa from its garps.

Someone caught him before he could hit the ground. 

In his dazed state, he could see his savior; purple hair with two cyan stripes. A marking of a crescent moon over his right eye. A suit that reminded him of space.

"What are you thinking?!" His savior scolded him. "Why are you doing just standing there?!"

"Huh...?"

"Did you forget to transform? What kind of Magical Boy are you?!"

Magical... "Magic doesn't exist..."

"Then explain all of this."

"A nightmare?"

"A MaGiCaL GiRl..." The ball of a million heads. "A ReAl oNe tHiS OnE."

Tsukasa could feel his savior clutching him tighter.  "Time to go."

"Wha-"

The baby raised its hand about to hit Tsukasa and his savior, but they jumped out of the way. Well, it was more like his savior jumped while carrying Tsukasa's bridal style. That certainly woke Tsukasa up.

"Wait!" He put his arms around his savior's neck, securing himself from falling. "What's going on?"

"Are you new to this job?" his savior asked. "Does no one ever taught you about this stuff?"

"I didn't even know magic even existed!" Tsukasa shouted. "There's no such thing as Magical Girls!"

"You're being saved by one." 

"There's no way!" 

"Look, whether you want to believe or not, this is real." His savior looked down at him and Tsukasa could see constellations in his golden eyes. "Magic is real. Us Magical Boys and Girls are real. And those creatures, the Eaters, are real. They brought upon the Red Night where time stop so they could feast upon humans' soul like your. When a human lost their soul, they will disappear from existence and no one will remember them. Humans aren't supposed to be able to walk around the Red Night, so either you're also a Magical Boy or you have something with magical power to make you move around here." 

"But... I don't..." 

"I know now you aren't one."

They landed on the roof of a building and his savior put him down. "When the Red Night ends, you'll be transported back to your original spot when it was activated. So, stay here." 

Just as he was about to leave, Tsukasa caught his hand. "Wait! What about you?" 

His savior looked ahead toward their previous enemies. "I need to make sure they don't reach you and stop this Red Night early." 

"Why?" 

He chuckled. "I've taken an interest in you. Even if we won't meet again in this condition." 

Right. Tsukasa wasn't supposed to be here. He wasn't supposed to get involved in this mess. "Can I at least know your name?" 

His savior shook his head. "If we meet again in this Red Night. I'll tell you my name. But I'll be sure to look after you in one way or another." 

With that, his savior jumped into battle. With the spectacles that was the shooting stars when Tsukasa gasp- 

And then, the world shifted. 

Dong... Dong...

Everything returned to normal. 

Everything started to move again. 

But he knew some things were missing. 

There was a single teen missing from the roughhousing group. The vendor never sold anything. And the mother whose child previously fallen down just walked passed him. 

They were gone. 

Those who were eaten by those monsters, the Eaters, were gone. As if they never existed in the first place. 

And Magical Boys and Girls, like his savior, were fighting against them. 

Magic... Exists... 

"Tsukasa-senpai!" 

Someone caught him before he could fall down, clutching him for their dear life. "Tou...Ya...?" Wasn't Touya supposed to be back home? 

"You're alright." Touya hugged him tight and close. "You're alright..." 

"How did you get here?" 

"I ran." That's strange. Touya was never one good with physical activity. "You haven't home for a while so I thought-" 

"But time stopped." 

Touya let out a gasp and pulled out from the hug. "How did you-" 

"Are you...magic too?" 

Touya started at him with shock and Tsukasa begged that Touya would laugh or be confused, because this is just too ridiculous to be real.

Magic doesn't exist and everything he saw of Red Night and Eaters and his Magical Boy savior are just a hallucination. 

And yet, Touya reached for Tsukasa's jacket pocket. Touya and Tsukasa's jacket are identical, thus they would often got mixed. It wouldn't be surprise that in earlier rush, Tsukasa took Touya's jacket instead of his own. But it was still a surprise when Touya pulled back his hand while holding something. 

A hairpin. A simple hairpin with two small black orb.  

A hairpin that Touya would wear often. 

"Humans aren't supposed to be able to walk around the Red Night, so either you're also a Magical Boy or you have something with magical power to make you move around here." 

That was what the Magical Boy said. 

Is that Touya's magical item? So Touya is really is a... 

"I promise I will explain everything." Touya said as he pulled Tsukasa into another hug. "I'm glad you're safe..." 

Magic was something Tsukasa never really considered in life. 

But after taking a glimpse of it and knowing how dangerous it is, of how his own siblings in involved, Tsukasa knows there no way he could stay ignorant. 

Perhaps one day, once he learns more about this magical conundrum, he could meet with his savior again.

A knight of the White Kingdom, having been away escorting Saki to the neighboring Imperial Kingdom. Cut her hair after losing Saki to the opposing army when the kingdom attacked. Shuns herself and expects others to do so (they really don’t). Her family were once nobles of the Imperial Kingdom, but after the White Kingdom annexed their land decades ago, Ichika grew up to be a knight instead.

Saki

A noble of the White Kingdom who was kidnapped by the Imperial Kingdom. Truthfully, the entire kidnapping was orchestrated between Saki, Kohane, and Toya to start the war. Saki helps their side as the army’s trainer, often filling in as general when Toya and Rui are on the battlefield. Perky and upbeat, she embraces both her noble status and trainer status simultaneously.

Honami

The Imperial Kingdom’s head naval general, in charge of all of their naval forces. From afar, she seems intimidating and powerful, but truthfully she’s a softie at heart, not wanting to hurt anyone. However, being friends with Kohane and Mafuyu gives her the determination to help them in the war.

Shiho

A knight of the White Kingdom. She’s been enrolled in the White Kingdom for as long as anyone can remember, and avoids questions about her age. Truthfully, she’s one of the last remaining Heavenly Messengers and is one of the oldest people in existence. Her stoic nature makes sure very few people get close to her—Akito and Ichika being two of the few.

Minori

A guardian angel, tasked with protecting Kanade. Fairly new at her role, the clumsy angel disguised herself as a knight-in-training to be Kanade’s squire (despite her also being in training). She’s not much better at being a knight than a guardian angel, but she’s trying her best! Has a little bit of healing and wind magic under her belt.

Haruka

The court magician of the White Kingdom. She specializes in water and ice magic specifically, and has a weakness for penguins. Her power is so great that it's rumored she can control the weather; whether this is true has yet to be confirmed or proven by the spellcaster in question.

Airi

A knight-in-training for the White Kingdom, but secretly a fairy of the woods. She only recently joined the White Kingdom as a knight-in-training, but is slowly rising through the ranks. She became close friends with Haruka and Shizuku after they accidentally found out about her being a fairy, but they swore to keep it secret. Airi also has a little bit of light and fire magic.

Shizuku

The Baroness Hinomori [above nobles], and an exceptionally skilled archer. Her airheaded personality is a well-known fact in the court, but just as well-known is her deadly accuracy. Some say she was blessed by a Heavenly Messenger when she was younger, but Shizuku denies this claim—it was simply practice.

Kohane

The crown princess of the Imperial Kingdom. She has an incredible amount of magic relating to nature, able to make things bloom with just the touch of her finger. She wants to overthrow her corrupt foster parents, but feels too meek to do so, so she recruits Toya to help her, the two having met in diplomatic meetings.

An

The Rose Princess and ruler of the White Kingdom. Despite her young appearance, An has been ruler for quite some time—truthfully, she is one of the few remaining Heavenly Messengers. She rules the kingdom with grace in the public’s eyes, but behind the scenes is truly a mess without Toya and her guards.

Akito

A high knight of the White Kingdom; one of the Golden Rose Trio. His grumpy and straight-laced personality often makes him the braincell of the trio; he wields his sword well and is often on the front lines. He is also Toya’s personal bodyguard, and the only one (seemingly) aware of the double-life he currently leads.

Toya

The king-consort of the White Kingdom. Although he and An are married, they are simply good friends; the marriage mostly to give Toya authority as well. Secretly, Toya is the commander of the Imperial Kingdom’s army, even having tamed a dragon to his side (it’s mostly for show). He leads the army in the hopes of weakening the Imperial Kingdom in the fight against the White Kingdom to then prompt a coup from inside.

Tsukasa

A high knight of the White Kingdom; one of the Golden Rose Trio. He is often regarded as the trio’s leader, and can be quite dramatic and full of bravado. However, he is undeniably an inspiring and encouraging leader. Takes Saki’s kidnapping the hardest (aside from Ichika), and is the head general of the White Kingdom’s forces.

Emu

The Countess Otori, and daughter of a renown adventurer. Her perky personality makes her an unusual fit in the court of the castle, but has had some of the most brilliant (and most wild) ideas that the kingdom has ever used. Her grandfather was a famous adventurer who mapped out the entire continent, and she wishes to follow in his footsteps.

Nene

A mage of high-end magic, currently under employment for the White Kingdom. She is known for having a wide arsenal of magic, but primarily specializes in time magic, which has affected her greatly. She was employed by An at the start of the war, but secretly knows about Toya’s double-life.

Rui

The court magician for the Imperial Kingdom. He practices and specializes in dark magic, an artform although not banned considered taboo for its self-destructive purposes. His innate power is summoning magical creatures to his side; however, he refuses to fight with them unless necessary.

Kanade

A knight-in-training for the White Kingdom. Although quiet and new to the job, she is a kind soul who wants to help everyone. Her father was a noble, but after he went missing Kanade wasn’t granted the title until he was confirmed dead. She became a knight in the hopes of fulfilling his lifelong dreams and to try and find where he went.

Mafuyu

A legendary warrior of the Imperial Kingdom, skilled in both sword and bow. She went missing for quite some time, but reappeared to lead the very first charge to kidnap Saki. She leads her own specialized force into lightning-quick charges. Her emotionless personality allows her to suffer little-to-no emotional shock—although truthfully, she’s just lost and trying to find her purpose.

Ena

A wandering witch specializing in shadow and water magic, and one of the few remaining Heavenly Messengers. Her original homeland is unknown, perhaps even long gone, but she comes and goes in a mist. To encounter her is said to be an omen of death or salvation, depending on her mood. Often regarded as the original creator of dark magic, although this isn’t true.

Mizuki

A high knight of the White Kingdom; one of the Golden Rose Trio. They often encourage Tsukasa’s antics and are obsessed with looking perfect and cute despite being a high knight. They often commit their own expeditions, either solo or with a handful of soldiers, to go into enemy territory.

As a result, he relishes in every kiss you give him with it on! You looked so beautiful when you leaned into him and gave him a kiss!

You had to leave to go to class, so you gave him a quick kiss goodbye before leaving. If you took a glance, you would see him standing there with a proud little grin

He went on with his day, just waiting to see you again. It wasn't until he was talking with Nene and Rui when they pointed it out

"Hmm...Hey Tsukasa, what’s that on your lip?" Tsukasa tilted his head, bringing his fingers to it, "There's nothing there, what are you talking about?-"

He froze when he felt the leftovers of lip gloss on his bottom lip, and his face immediately heated up. He didn't even realize remnants of your kiss was there until...Well, now-

He was too flustered to speak, and Nene just let out a sigh, "What, did you start wearing lip gloss and forgot to apply it or?" Rui chuckled, a smug grin on his face, "No no, I think it's something, or rather someone else's!"

Tsukasa stumbled over his words, his arms flying this way and that. It was funny to see him so out of it, so tongue-tied, but he calmed down. Eventually-

"Well, I mean, of course it's from my lovely co-star! I just...I just wanted a reminder of them throughout the day!!" He did not intend for that to happen at all, but it was nice to pretend he did!

Of course, Rui and Nene both call his bluff, and continue to tease him on it. Tsukasa just tries to not melt from the teasing, or the realization that they could tell you about it later on-

Minori:

Minori also loves you no matter what, and finds that lip gloss is really pretty on you!! She doesn't think she can pull it off, but you certainly can!

She absolutely loves kissing you, you always made her feel like she was in heaven! Her heart always flutters with you <3

She was leaving for practice with the others, so you gave her a quick kiss on the lips before leaving. She was an absolute blushy mess!

She went to practice with a big grin on her face, and while they'd usually ask how she was doing, Airi in particularly noticed something off about her

"Hey, Minori? What's that on your lips?" "Huh?" Minori brings a finger to her lips with a tilt of her head, "I didn't wear anything?-"

She freezes when she feels the remnants of lip gloss, your lip gloss on her lips. Despite the fact that the two of you had literally kissed, she couldn't hold back the little squeal that escaped her. Oh my gosh she had your lip gloss on her lips-

Her squeal made Haruka and Shizuku glance up from what they were doing. "Oh, Minori, are you okay?" "Did something happen?" Being the only one who knew what was going on, Airi just gave a knowing grin
