@daggerfall hi thank you! :D
(Prompt post here)
---
Minmari sat on the bed, working on their knitting project. It was a meditative process, helpful for settling their mind in preparation for the relatively non-Daedric, but nonetheless necessary experience of sleep. Normally, Lior was right beside them, but today, she was in the next room, working on something—Minmari was not quite sure what.
There were sounds of triumph, and then both of Lior's bodies rushed into the bedroom, followed by the pattering of small feet.
"I did it!" Lior exclaimed as her pseudo-Breton body hopped onto the bed and patted the space in front of her, urging her new companion to join them.
It was a small animal-like creature, but not quite mortal. It looked to be cervine in nature, black with some purple spots and stripes, and emanated a faint glow. There was definitely a Daedric signature to it. It joined them on the bed and curled up on the tail of Minmari's knitting project.
They set down their needles and wrapped an arm around Lior. "Who is this?"
"Okay, so, I was in Blackreach this morning. I was looking at the crystalsyou know those big, purple, glowy crystals? I wanted to see if they're related to soul gems, or what other magical properties they might have. Plus, they're pretty, and they kind of remind me of home, even if Blackreach doesn't get any sun.
"Anyway, I saw a bunch of these little guys around, and I thought they were cute. But I wasn't just going to capture one and make it my pet. I can barely take care of my own pseudo-mortal body. I have no idea how to take care of a mortal animal. So I decided to summon up some chaotic creatia from my own realm and mimic one for myself. I think I did a pretty good job, too. Well, their spots are normally white, not purple, but I decided to give myself some creative license." She reached over and petted the creature's head, and then looked up at Minmari. "What do you think of her?"
"She's very cute," they said.
Lior's face lit up. "I think so too. We can both take her on our adventures, and she can go back to my realm whenever we want." She leaned into Minmari's shoulder and giggled with happiness. "We have a pet. That's so exciting."

Ildari carries an Azuran Holy Water in ESO that she got from a dragon like a day or two after "arriving" in ESO time.
Minmari collects yarn and cloth in Oblivion (the game and the place, I guess).
actually based on that post from earlier
what sentimental items do YOUR characters carry in TES games even though you maybe dont use them and it takes up inventory space?

So I was reading some stuff on Lorkhan and which after many links turned into reading about the Mafala and apparently the Khajiit believe her mate is Boethra which got me thinking. Daedric princes can have demiprinces and these children are either from lesser beings or mortals but do you think the can also have children with eachother?
I personally do think so? The statement we get about what a demiprince is just states who one parent must be, though the other parent isnt stated to Have to be a lesser being.
Also like, the process of Creating a Child when you're, you know, a god, isnt necessarily the same as for mortals. If two princes agreed upon a collaborative effort to create a being that shared some aspect of their spheres, then is that not functionally a demiprince? I know some of my friends have OCs like that (Minmari and Obsessia, hello there) and my own Sheogorath demiprince is also imbued with some form of Akatosh powers/ancestry. So I'd be a hypocrite to say I think not.
I will say this isnt really based on a ton of evidence, more my own desires of TES as a series to give us demiprinces and picking up every tiny bit of lore we have.

Milia was lured in under the guise of someone needing help. She knew it might be a trap, but thought she could defend herself. But it's hard to defend yourself against being knocked out, magically drugged, and stabbed in the heart.
Talvini, prior to becoming a real adventurer, would probably not just walk into a house because a mysterious person said it was important. But she did already have a tendency to like go into Dwemer ruins alone for research supplies, so she might have just been ambushed outside a ruin or on the way to get groceries or something.
Ildari was expecting to hear from Azura, so when a Daedric cultist came up to her and was like, "My benefactor needs to speak to you," she was like. "Oh cool I'll go get some glow dust and be there at dusk." She knew something was wrong as soon as she got inside the house, but before she could even throw a detection spell she was being knocked out.
Llevura was told by Almalexia that there was a Worm Cult trap in Davon's Watch, and that they were about to shut it down, but first she needed to walk into it so that she could be killed and become the prophesied hero to end the Planemeld. It was, like, a whole planned thing.
Lior also knew what was going on and walked into it, basically because it was part of her job in coming to Nirn. Sorndra likewise knew it was a trap and walked into it, but with a sort of "I'm coming for you" attitude @ Molag Bal because she sees the Planemeld as a personal slight.
I still need to figure out some stuff about the early parts of Vaynerii's story, but I think she was already in the early training stages of becoming a Morag Tong reconnaissance agent. So it's possible that they had her go on a training mission that got thoroughly borked when she talked to the wrong person, and before any of her superiors figured out what went wrong or could jump in to help, she was already being dragged off.
OC question coming up, this one’s for my vestige bitches
How did your vestige end up meeting the Hooded Figure? Was it by chance? Did they mistake her for someone else? Lemme know I’m curious
#milia#talvini#ildari#llevura#vaynerii#lior#sorndra#razak's ocs#that's too many tags to search but oh well#i think that's most of my vestiges with stories#nirinwe might have chosen to walk into the trap after summerset#minmari is just vibing but probably knew that getting killed was the way to start their joirney#*journey

Demiprince bio for Minmari
(from this post by @littlegalerion)
Name: Minmari
Race: When on Nirn for an extended period, they take on a Dunmer form. Otherwise, they sort of have their own Daedric form.
Gender: Daedra (they/them but they're okay with she/her)
Hair Color: Dark purple, like black but with a purpley shine
Eye Color: Also purple, but like leaning red in Dunmer form
Complexion: Grayish black and kind of shiny in Daedra form, lighter in "mortal" form but still on the darker end for Dunmer
Body Markings: I think they have some sort of wispy lines, barely noticeable.
Height: Around 8'6" in their normal form and around 6' in their "mortal" form, but it varies in both cases. They're kind of just as tall as they want to be, and they normally like to be a little tall. They're not ashamed to adjust their height to be taller than their minions, and in Skyrim I made sure they're taller than Ancano.
Mortal Parent: None
Their influence on the their child: n/a
The demiprince’s opinion on their mortal parent: n/a
Divine Parent: Mephala
Their influence on the their demiprince: Subtlety, number of limbs in Daedra form, murder, fibercraft.
The demiprince’s opinion on their divine parent: Respect, basically. They exist to mediate the gap between their parents' spheres, so they have to know their spheres well and how to navigate them. And in general I think they have a pretty good relationship with both parents. They let Minmari do their own thing as long as they handle the sphere conflicts when requested and take calls on occasion. And their parents also basically end up adopting Lior when she gets abandoned by Azura, because Minmari cares about her so they care about her by extension.
Divine Parent 2: Boethiah
Their influence on the their demiprince: Quickness to action, some disregard for authority, martial skill, subtlety, murder.
The demiprince’s opinion on their divine parent: Pretty similar to Mephala, but they also know not to be too grovely.
Demiprince’s childhood home(s): Their own plane, the Patchwork Expanse.
Demiprince’s current home(s): On Nirn (in ESO time), they live at the Lake Amaya house. In Oblivion they live in their own plane.
Demiprince’s relatives (both dead and alive): Mephala, Boethiah, Fa-Nuit-Hen, any other Demiprinces that either Prince might have.
Demiprince’s relationships towards relatives: We already covered the parent stuff but. Siblingy relationship with Fa-Nuit-Hen. They vibe in Maelstrom sometimes and I imagine FNH comes to the Patchwork Expanse once in a while too (but I hc that Maelstrom is kind of a Demiprince hangout). They've also killed each other a few times, probably especially when they were young, but it happens. FNH also offers protection for Lior in Maelstrom when she's being threatened by Azura, because he knows she's important to his sibling.
Demiprince’s view on mortal political affairs: They might find politics as a concept interesting because of all the backstabbing and stuff, but they're not really interested in the substance.
Demiprince’s own personal beliefs: Their sphere is "plans" so generally they care more about the friends we made along the way the process than the outcome. They're more interested in what you're totally going to do someday than what you did. But being Boethian, they also recognize the value of actually acting sometimes.
Demiprince’s personal goals in life: They have a lot of knitting WIPs. They enact a lot of their "magic" (or whatever you want to call Daedric chaoto-creative effects) through knitting, so some of these WIPs are like grand plans that they'll get to at a later date. Other WIPs are like, sweaters.
Demiprince’s personal pocket plane: It's called the Patchwork Expanse and it's mostly knit or crocheted or otherwise yarned. A lot of it is brighter colors than you would expect, and a lot of it doesn't match because it was done in phases with a sort of "I'll get to that later" attitude.
Its purpose/power: There's a lot of space for planning things and working on projects of pretty much any type. So there's a library, desks and workbenches, a knitting corner, a couple scrying pools provided by Lior, meeting spaces, pretty much anything that could be conducive to "plans" in a pretty broad sense. The yarny nature also makes it so that sound doesn't carry very far, so it's a nice place for people who want to focus on their work, or plot things quietly in groups. The plane attracts a variety of people—crafters, scholars, assassins—though they appreciate an offering of yarn. And they have a knitting circle that consists of a few Morag Tong assassins, some mages (mostly old but a couple younger), a few dremora, a couple actual clothiers, a couple people who just like to knit, and occasionally Fa-Nuit-Hen.
Are they single: No
Their partner: Lior, a Demiprince of Azura (sort of)
Steady or fragile relationship: Steady; they've been together since the Dawn Era probably.

(I’m working on a new Demiprince OC, so I wanted to test her out a little.)
---
Sorndra knocked on the door to the house where Lior and her partner lived while on Nirn. It felt strange to use such mundane means of announcing herself, but it was admittedly more comfortable than simply visiting each other's realms without needing to be explicitly let in.
Though she had crafted wards for herself so that her Daedric nature could not be detected by miscellaneous onlookers, Sorndra allowed the smallest bit of her signature to break through so that her sister could identify her easily. After a few moments, she was greeted by a six-armed, several-eyed, vaguely spider-like Daedra who towered over her pseudo-Breton form.
"It's good to see you, Minmari," she greeted them. "I'm wondering if my sister is home and would be willing to see me."
Minmari made a few stitches in their unknowable knitting project before they replied. "Lior has reason to be wary of other Azuran Daedra right now. I'm sure you understand."
"Of course," she said. "It's her decision, but I will willingly submit to any wards or drains you wish to put on me to make everyone more comfortable."
A few more moments passed. Sorndra assumed Minmari and Lior were communicating telepathically, deciding what to do with her.
"I'm going to block you off from Azura—"
"Way ahead of you."
Minmari paused and looked her over, probing her wards, and then nodded. They dismissed their knitting project and summoned a crochet hook and a new skein of yarn. "One more thing. May I see your hands?"
Sorndra held out her hands, and around each wrist, they crocheted a bracer stitched with dampening energy.
"This will limit any offensive power you might have."
"Understood." The effect was strong; it felt as though her connection to Oblivion and even her mundial magicka were being sapped away. But she did not fault Lior for her precaution.
When the bracers were finished and Minmari was satisfied, they reverted to their pseudo-Dunmeri form and stepped away from the doorway to allow Sorndra inside.
Lior was standing several steps inside the house, eyeing her warily. "Did Azura send you?"
"No. As far as I know, she doesn't know I'm here. My ward will even prevent her from recovering a memory of this." She took a step inside, but stopped when Lior nervously took a step back.
"Why are you here, then?"
"I wanted to check in. You've got a lot going on right now. I've tried to contact you, but you've either ignored my recent nudges, or you're warded against them. Normally, I would take that as a message in itself and leave you alone, but I thought you would want to know that I'm not working against you in this."
Lior took a step in, and then another, and then ran at Sorndra full-speed and threw her arms around her. She returned the hug carefully at first, and then tighter after a moment.
"You're not defecting, are you?" Lior asked when she had broken from the hug.
"No. It's just not really my fight."
"I honestly thought I'd never see you again."
"Do you really think this will go on forever? I mean, I wouldn't look into your future without your consent, but there must be some end in sight."
"I...I don't know," Lior said. "I just can't imagine any end that doesn't involve me being submitted to whatever horrors Azura has planned to punish me for my defiance. I haven't invoked prophecy because, well, I'm afraid of the results."
Sorndra sighed. She did not want overtly take a side in this fight—that would not end well for anyone involved, really—but it pained her to see her sister living in fear of Azura. Maybe she could safely offer some sisterly help without provoking their Prince's wrath.
"Do you want me to help you with your protections? I know you have some of your own wards, but I can teach you how to prevent Azura from even accessing your memories later."
Lior's eyes widened. "You would really do that?"
"Of course. Wards and other boundary-setters are part of my sphere, anyway. It might as well be my duty."
Sorndra instructed both of them on the nature and process of crafting this particular protection. Most wards were cast around one's form, but by weaving it through Lior's animus and incorporating Azura's signature, the ward would become an inherent part of any newly-formed memories and keep them from Azura just as Lior herself was blocked off from the Prince.
"Oh!" Sorndra exclaimed when they were done. She reached into her bag, pulled out a few skeins of spidersilk yarn and handed them to Minmari. "I almost forgot I had this yarn specially spun. It has properties that will help one obscure one's signature."
Minmari looked surprised, but the surprise was secondary to the fascination at a new kind of yarn.
"I didn't expect you to be so willing to help," Lior said. "I kind of expected Azura to task you with dragging me back to Moonshadow."
Sorndra smiled softly. "Like I said, it's not my fight. But you're my sister, and Azura knows better than to try to involve me against you. You can always call on me if you need help with wards or...anything, within reason."
She gave Lior one more hug, gave Minmari a warm nod, and vanished.

i guess it would be pretty easy to make it so that Lior, Minmari, and Sorndra all have different roles in eso rather than all being Vestiges.
Sorndra would be the Vestige because the Planemeld is a personal offense to her sphere.
Lior would do the Daedric Triad, of course.
And Minmari would vibe, and maybe make sure Azura doesn't put Ildari in too much danger.
It would mean Sorndra had to get to Nirn first (or at least before Lior), which might be kind of weird, but it could work.
#lior#minmari#sorndra#maybe lior got there first and saw the planemeld going down and was like#''hey sorn you will not believe what molag bal is doing''#and sorn was like ''hold my beer''#i like to let minmari experience every heroship but i dont know if any of them are canon#they just like to try stuff out#but part of the reason min came to nirn for eso in the first place was because their princes saw Azura sending ildari into danger#and were like ''just go keep an eye on her please. kid's been through enough''#(they're not as ''my favorite mortal'' toward ildari#but they still respect her role in reinstating them in morrowind#(as well as her strength and stuff)#so they keep an eye on her to make sure azura doesnt hurt her too much)

[Minmari sees Lior for the first time in Maelstrom and is like "👀." Fa-Nuit-Hen teases them for having a crush. Lior is both perceptive and receptive.
Note: There's some casual murder and arena-related violence in here.]
---
Minmari sat in the stands of Maelstrom, their brother Fa-Nuit-Hen's plane of Oblivion, where Demiprinces often gathered for fun or to challenge the arena. Fa-Nuit-Hen and his tutor materialized in the announcer's box next to where Minmari was sitting with their knitting project, overlooking the arena. From the look on his face, Minmari could tell a challenger had arrived. They turned their attention to the floor as the first stage of the arena began to form around them.
A purple, winged Daedra floated into the arena and began tearing the lesser Daedra apart, shooting bolts of lightning at those who were outside her reach. She looked similar to a winged twilight, but more humanoid: taller and with arms. She tied her purple hair back and out of the way as she waited for the next wave. Judging by the enemies being sent against the challenger, she must have been a Demiprince, but Minmari had never seen her before, around Maelstrom or otherwise.
Minmari leaned over to their brother's seat. "Hey Fa, who is that?"
"That's our challenger, Lior!" he said.
The name sounded familiar. "Azuran Demiprince?"
"That sounds right...right, Tutor?"
"Yes, Demiprince," Tutor Riparius said.
They turned their attention back to the arena. Lior flew laps around the Vale and finished off Maxus the Many when he was still Maxus the Only. Minmari found themself admiring how she moved as she fought. There was a certain gentle elegance to the way she ripped the minor minions in two and laid into the tougher ones with her claws and lightning, darting easily around each incoming attack.
Fa-Nuit-Hen teleported down to the floor to brief her on the next challenge. When he returned, the surroundings morphed into the setting of the next stage of the arena.
"What's her sphere?" Minmari asked when the combat had started up again.
Fa-Nuit-Hen looked to his tutor.
"She doesn't have one. She's just a child of Azura."
"How fortunate!" Fa-Nuit-Hen said. "That probably means she won't be busy, if you wanted to ask her out."
Minmari stopped knitting to fix him with a glare. "What are you talking about? I don't even know her."
Lior shot a bolt of lightning at an enemy who had just formed across the floor, dropping him on the spot.
"WHAT AN AMAZING BLOW!" Fa-Nuit-Hen shouted over the arena.
"Fa!"
He turned back to his sibling with a smug look and a shrug. "Just observing."
They rolled their many eyes and turned back to the arena. They wanted to say that it was all nonsense, nothing more than simple teasing from their brother, but it was hard to look away from Lior as she progressed through the stages of the arena. And they had to admit that Fa-Nuit-Hen's understanding of Motions Known extended beyond combat. He was also skilled at recognizing body language, especially from his own sibling. He was probably onto something, not that Minmari would admit it. Not yet, anyway. But maybe they would talk to Lior when she was done.
Fa-Nuit-Hen elbowed Minmari excitedly when Lior made it to the Spiral Shadows. That was nothing new; he always did that when a challenger reached this point. After all, it was partly Minmari's stage. They had worked with the Baron Who Moves Like Flickering Flame to base it off the Spiral Skein.
This time, however, their brother leaned over and said, "Should I tell her you made this stage?"
"That would be meaningless, as she probably has no idea who I am."
"I'll just tell her you're a Demiprince up in the stands who thinks she's cute."
"Don't you dare."
"What, afraid it won't be enough of a challenge and she'll think less of you?"
"She's not Boethian."
"Then what's the problem?"
"Fine," Minmari said. "You can tell her my name, and that's it."
He popped down onto the floor to tell Lior about the upcoming challenge. Minmari strained their senses to hear the conversation and was surprised to find that Fa-Nuit-Hen did not betray them. That was good. It would be inconvenient for everyone if they had to kill him in the middle of a challenger's attempt at the arena.
Lior figured out the trick quickly enough and used it to her advantage, dancing between lit pillars and luring hoarvors to the ones that were covered in webs before killing them. Minmari supposed it was fitting for an Azuran to do well with the ever-changing boundaries between light and darkness.
When a spider swarm appeared, Lior first tried to take them out with a pool of lightning. When she realized that it was doing nothing, she glanced around the arena and started leading them toward the nearest illuminated pillar. With her eyes on the floor, however, she did not see the flesh atronach coming, and its swing attack knocked her to the ground.
Minmari felt a small wave of pride at designing the first challenge where a minion managed to land a substantial blow on Lior, but they were even happier to watch her get back up and rip its arms off in retaliation.
A dremora off to Minmari's side shouted, "What a weakling! Scared of some little bitty spiders?"
Minmari spun to face her. "Watch your tongue, churl. You speak of a Demiprince."
The dremora rolled her eyes and made a rude gesture at Minmari. Minmari summoned a loose knitting needle and tossed it into the dremora's heart.
They turned back around to see Fa-Nuit-Hen watching them with that same smug expression he had earlier.
"Aw, you're even willing to kill for her," he said.
"I'm willing to kill in general. Especially some dremora churl who disrespects a Demiprince."
"Are you going to regale the Demiprince with stories of how you launched a dart through the heart of a dremora—let's make it a kynreeve, shall we?—in order to defend her honor?"
Minmari wordlessly recalled the knitting needle from the dremora's corpse and pointed it at their brother.
"You wouldn't kill me," he said, "Boethiah would kill you."
"He didn't kill you that time you killed me."
"That's 'cause you deserved it. I am merely trying to help my sibling find love." He turned his attention back to the arena floor, apparently unafraid of the needle in Minmari's hands.
They unsummoned it and joined him in watching the end of Lior's fight with the Champion of Atrocity. She managed to reveal all of the pillars right when the champion appeared, and had the spider Daedra in shreds before the stun wore off. Minmari cheered her on, unfazed that it meant their own temporary defeat.
They forgot to extend their hearing when Fa-Nuit-Hen popped down for Lior's next briefing, but they thought they noticed Lior glancing up at the stands toward where Minmari was sitting. They considered resummoning their needle, but decided against it. Maybe they could forgive Fa-Nuit-Hen for trying to impress her on their behalf. He was just doing some of the work for them.
---
When Lior defeated the arena's final champion, Minmari decided to return to the plane's lobby with Fa-Nuit-Hen to congratulate her. Lior bolted over to them the moment she noticed them.
"You're Minmari!" she said. "You're the Mephalan-Boethian who made that stage based on the Spiral Skein!"
"I am. I hope that flesh atronach didn't hurt you too badly."
"Nah, I just healed up and ripped it apart. Did you see me rip its arms off?"
"Yes, that was impressive."
Minmari could swear Lior blushed at that comment.
"Well...you don't mind that I killed your champion, do you?" Lior asked. "I mean, I'm sure she'll reform soon enough."
"That's what she's for," Minmari said.
"Good. Oh! And I loved how you killed that dremora. That was very sweet of you."
"Sweet" was not a term Minmari would have used to describe themself, but more importantly, "I'm going to kill Fa."
Lior looked confused. "Hm? No, Fa-Nuit-Hen didn't tell me about that. Once he mentioned you, I picked up your signature and clocked you in the crowd. I saw you watching me, and cheering for me instead of against me. It was cute."
"Ah." Now it was Minmari's turn to blush. Luckily, their blood was not of a nature that would make it noticeable to an outside observer—visibly, at least. But Lior had already proven herself to be perceptive. Minmari had neglected to consider that Azurans, with their affinity for prophecy, would be just as likely as a Mephalan to try to know everything about everyone. Minmari, on the other hand, always managed to let their own Mephalan nature slip in favor of their Boethian side while in Maelstrom, just as they had let slip that they had shared a secret with Fa-Nuit-Hen. And Lior had absolutely noticed.
Her smile betrayed little, but that little bit was enough for Minmari to know with certainty that they had been caught. They wondered if they should just vanish off to the Patchwork Expanse, but decided instead that it would be best to stay and deal with the consequences.
Lior took their uppermost right hand in hers. "Do you want to come to my realm? It's called Twilight's Glow. It has these big crystals and a balcony that overlooks the perpetual twilight, and there are these really pretty scrying pools...Do you want to see?"
Minmari relaxed somewhat. Maybe it wasn't a terrible thing to be caught.
"Sure, Lior. I'd like that."

Flower crown
@nostalgic-breton-girl Thank you for the prompt! :D
22. Wildflowers, from from these prompts
---
Lior sat on the banks of Lake Amaya by her house on Nirn. She had forgotten to try to keep track of how long she was out there, but it was still daylight, and she was not yet excessively hungry, so it could not have been that long. She was having what she had heard mortals call an "off day." She missed her realm and Oblivion in general, she missed her true form, she even missed her Prince in a strange way. And that was mixed with the anxiety that her Prince would try to reclaim her again or otherwise harm her in order to get her back under her control. There was a lot on her mind, and so she sat looking over the lake as if it were a scrying pool, trying to calm her thoughts.
The ground behind her shook softly with footsteps. Lior did not turn around, nor did she pull her thoughts away from the lake to reach her senses out and detect who was walking around behind her. The person was clearly not trying to be sneaky, so if they had business with her, they would approach her soon enough, and if they did not, they would move on.
The footsteps did not recede, instead ambling in a seemingly aimless pattern around the grass. She let her attention fade back to the lake.
After some time, the footsteps approached her directly, and she felt something being gently placed on her head. Minmari sat down next to her and wrapped an arm around her without a word.
Lior's winged twilight aspect, which had been sitting nearby without much of Lior's attention in it, flew up to see what they had placed on her human-like body's head. It looked like a circlet of wildflowers with their stems intertwined. She gave Minmari a questioning smile.
Minmari shrugged and returned the smile. "You looked like you could use some flowers."
Lior leaned against them, careful not to let the crown fall off.
"Thanks," she whispered.
