Lucanis Dellamorte mini quilts
The more I learned about the characters, the harder it became to keep ideas from overflowing. Here's what I made for Lucanis Dellamorte based on
He wears black, purple, and a little big of blue.
He's a Crow.
Game developers have described him as romantic.
Sooooo I decided two mini quilts would be best.
This one is the largest, 17.5x18 inches, and I opted for a floral border because of him being romantic. All the fabric is cotton, even though the black looks really shiny. The fabric used for the crow sparkles. This quilt has a hanging sleeve on the back, for a curtain rod or something similar.
The second one is 16.5x16.5 inches, with the colors reversed. I didn't have enough of the floral print for the binding, so I chose one with a softer look and a little big of blue.
And now I await a buyer or two so I can buy a game console and play DATV. I the meantime, I'll be making two miniquilts for Emmerich and Manfred.

Today, I'm being seen for my asthma again. I was seen a few weeks ago because my asthma is getting bad, likely due to all the pollen, and was given anti-inflammatory medicine, but it hardly made a dent. As of late, it feels like someone is sitting on my chest and not letting me get in a full breath. Very irritating. There's a fair chance I'll be getting a chest x-ray to see if anything there's anything unusual.
When we get home, I'll be back to sewing and handquilting.
We do need assistance with getting fuel in the car. One of our bills is auto-pay, comes out in a day or two, and will leave is with $18. Our utility bill is also due soon, but thankfully not on autopsy. It's nearly $200.
Please consider commissioning me or purchasing my work. I have original paintings, quilts of varying sizes and a range of budgets, and digital downloads to choose from. Donations are also acceptable, though I would rather you receive something for your generosity.
There's also the option to become a monthky supporter, and that starts at $5. You'll receive a postcard, random miniquilt gifts, exclusive automatic discounts on all commissions and shop purchases, and after a few months, and other goodies. You can sign up as one of my members by clicking the "membership" tab on my website.
Thank you!

Normally I like to do my miniquilt toward the end of the week because I want it to reflect what has happened, but this week I had to get it done early because all my sewing things needed to be packed.
This week I made another quilt from scraps, but it also was made from receipt tape that I got by accidentally forgetting to make sure the printer was off before checking an item I checked out for display. The resulting tape gave me enough paper to make this quilt with a tiny bit left over.
Even though it's a bit earlier than I would like, this feels like the natural progression from loose threads last week. This is a tidier cleanup. It's putting everything in its place. It's a little bit Tetris to make everything fit. It feels very much like the packing and cleaning I am doing this week and, honestly, I loke how it looks. I love it so much I ordered receipt paper so I can do more of this as my scraps allow.

For just $34.95 Doll quilt measures approximately 21 inches x 24 3/4 inches. The quilt will wrap fully around a doll 15 inches and smaller, including American Girl’s Bitty Twin or Bitty Baby. For the top, I used cotton quilting in a variety of bright colors for the four-patches and cerulean blue with a subtle leaf-and-vine print for the larger squares. I backed it in a coordinating bright blue floral, and used a bright cherry red floral for the borders. The pattern I chose is a variation on the traditional patchwork four-patch, and with this vivid color scheme, it reminds of a flower garden in summer. To make the fabrics the focal point, I machine quilted the entire piece. As the batting is 80% cotton/20% polyester, the quilt is machine washable and dryable. It has not been pre-washed. Care instructions: machine wash cold on a gentle cycle; tumble dry low or air dry. Some shrinkage may occur. Ships free to the US. Please see below for international shipping costs. We ship USPS Priority in the USA, and First Class internationally. Please see our shop policies for further details: http://www.etsy.com/shop/HandiworkinGirls/policy Made in a smoke/pet free home. Thanks for looking, Handiworkin’ Girls *Bitty Twin not included.* Looking for a different size or color? Check out our other quilts here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/HandiworkinGirls?section_id=7977039

After I finish machine quilting Play Time Joy, and if I gave no commissions, I'll be working on shop items. I need to know what is most likelg to sell thr quickest. I need to hire a plumber and currently cannot afford one. Soooo...
Please mention if you would rather I make coasters or placemats singular, pairs, or in sets of four.
Reblog if you voted!!!!
Examples below:
These are the starting prices, and it goes up from here depending on how long they take from start to finishing them. I charge $27/hour × hours + cost of materials, and have been informed I should raise my hourly to at least $40/hour. I'm keeping it low to make things more affordable, but will be giving myself a raise next year.
Coasters - sets of four start at $80, 4x4 to 6x6 inches
Mug rug - $105, typically 6x8 to 8x10 inches; miniquilts can also be mug rugs. A mug rug is a combination of a coaster and placemat, with enough space for a mug and snack.
Miniquilt - $375, usually around 15x15 to 25x25 inches, great for wall and table decorations. I use one of my own as a mug rug.
Placemat - $324 for a set of four, sizes vary from 12x16 to 16x20 inches. They can also serve as dollar quilts, which my niece has done with what I made for her.
Tablerunner - $340, and the size ranges by a lot. It can be used as a large hot pad for meals, decoration for an altar, hang on a wall, set up on your coffee table, drop over the edges of an end table, decorate a sofa or chair, and really big ones can run along the foot of your bed to keep your feet toasty.
Rag quilt - $450 for a baby size and goes up from there. No fancy piecing, no batting, just three layers of fabric quilted by machine with quilt-as-you-go. These are heavier than standard quilts, and very warm. I kept the heat at 68 F with a rag quilt over me in the winter and was very toasty. This is two sides of the same quilt, and took just a few days to make.

I found button and spool quilt block patterns while distracting myself today. Y'all, I'm gonna make sooooo many coasters with these. They are gonna be adorable. All made of scraps, all colorful, all prints.
As for size, around 5x5 inches. I'll add a thin border that will mostly vanish because I like making coasters without binding. Quicker, and so much easier on my hands.
I'm hoping to finish a dozen by Saturday afternoon. Next week, another dozen, then mug rugs, all foundation paper pieced. First, the western zodiac theme blocks. I have a feeling those will sell quickly.
All funds are being applied to Cacoa's ER vet bill, $1129 USD, and everyone who contributes to paying it off will be entered to win a miniquilt of max 25x25 inches. I'll be making a few of those top.
I do have paintings available in my shop, and just one of those will cover the cost of the bill. Anyone who buys one of my paintings will receive a four piece set of coasters as thanks, btw.
Emergency commissions are available too. It's Pay What You Want, minimum price is $25, and will also earn you an entry. What you pay will determine what I make for you, so keep that in mind.
