[MINICHAMPS × TARMAC WORKS] 1/64 ポルシェ 718ケイマン GT4RS

最近復活したミニチャンプスの1/64ライン。ターマックと組んでたり組んで無かったりするのは流通の都合かな？国内流通価格5000円オーバーとやけに高くて手を出しづらかったが、イベントで半額以下だったためここぞとばかりに入手。

繊細なウィングステーや1/64にしては凝ったシャーシ周りなど見どころはしっかりある。けれど、無塗装のインテリアやツルツルのタイヤなど、以前のミニチャンプス／あるいは今時のミニカーと比べてうーん…となってしまう点も多い。現行ケイマンの1/64自体希少だし充分カッコいいんだけど、定価で買ってたら納得できてない気がするな。<854>

Tarmac Works Owners Club Car - COLLECTED

This is the TARMAC WORKS OWNERS CLUB 2022-2023 car - a 1/64 BRE Datsun 510 Trans-Am 2.5 Championship 1972 #46

The diecast car is modeled after the real deal. Peter Brock and Brock Racing Enterprises (BRE) built and raced the #46 Datsun 510 with John Morton as its driver. The team won the 1971 and 1972 SCCA Trans Am Under 2.5 Liter Championship, with the first considered a major upset. Few race fans thought the little Datsun from Japan could match the pace of the Alfas and BMWs, so its success earned it the reputation as "giant killer" among American racing fans. To this day it remains one of the most recognizable and honored racing cars of all time, and it established Nissan/Datsun as an accomplished performance brand.

This is a model of the actual car driven by Morton to the championship; it remains unaltered and in its original racing livery.

Tarmac Works is a relatively young company in the diecast car space. Tarmac Works was founded in 2014 by enthusiasts and is based in Hong Kong. The company's main focus is in premium-quality 1:64 scale replica model cars. Unlike Hot Wheels cars which are considerably less expensive, the Tarmac Cars are considered models and they are typically made for display (see exceptions below) - not to race on tracks, so their wheels tend to be static.

There are a number of collections within the Tarmac Lineup…

1:64 scale

HOBBY64

Hobby-grade diecast models mostly consisting of race cars and modified cars. Wheels may or may not roll properly as the priority is placed at the authentic ride height. The majority of these come in a display case.

HOBBY64+

HOBBY64 and with an opening front or rear bonnet plus a detailed engine bay.

ROAD64

Same as HOBBY64 but road cars with a lower retail price.

GLOBAL64

Detailed diecast models that serves both as a collectible as well as a car to be played with as the wheels roll properly. In terms of packaging, they either come in a clamshell blister or a window box.

COLLAB64

We love working with like-minded brands such as MiniGT, Schuco, Ignition Model and Minichamps to create synergy and this is our line of collaboration models.

PARTS64

All cars need accessories and this is a line of accessories ranging from garage tools to rooftop parts to a full on pit garage.

This car is only my fifth Tarmac Works car but I really like it and it's a special car since it's the Club car. Tarmac Works Owners Club (TWOC) was created in 2019 with the goal to provide the collectors who love the brand with additional savings, priority purchase and exclusive models.

[MINICHAMPS] 1/64 アルファロメオ 8C コンペティツィオーネ

コレクターとして守りに入っているのか、最近は気に入ったモデルのカラバリばかり気になってしまう。そんな姿勢を象徴しているかのような700台目は、100台目として乗せたモデルの色違い。

いくら気に入ったとはいえソリッドレッドとメタリックレッドを揃えてもあ��り満足感は無いだろう…と思いきや、想像以上に雰囲気が違ってご満悦。クラシックカーのリメイクといった風情だったソリッドから一転して、メタリックはハイテク感が強い。カラバリってやっぱり面白いな。<700>
