Did you draw your own pfp? If so, how did you color it? Especially the lineart. It's so pretty!

aww thank you! i'm so glad you noticed! yes, i made the pfp myself :)) it's my favorite character of all times ;w; Allen Walker from D. Gray man! here's the full work!

i colored the lineart and changed the layermode to Multiply, i also duplicated the lineart and set it under the Multiply layer then gave it a layermode of Colorburn! this gives it a crispy color in my case (but you can always play around with colors and different layermodes to get the best effect which different from each drawing, in my case it just happened to be this) I like duplicating line arts and changing their colors/layermodes when i play around :))

i used mostly flat colors but added slight hue variations along with a simple shadowing! I only have one value for the shadows but instead of using a single color, i used different colors with the same value to give it a more colorful and lively look:

for example, when i turn everything into black and white, you can see that the fur has only 1 value in terms of shading but in reality i used different colors that have similar values to make it livelier!

So recently I watched Sk8 The Infinity and….. it was a hard watch for me to say the very least. There were so many parts that made me just wanna die inside, specifically the parts with Adam in them, I don’t think there are words to describe how much I dislike this character. His behavior towards Langa as well as some other characters throughout the show is… concerning.. what concerns me the most is how little his actions are acknowledged in the fandom, I’ve seen so many people defend him or just glide over his behavior completely. While I do believe ( in most cases) we shouldn’t let a character hold us back from enjoying a show, I also believe there is a limit, Adam passes that limit many times. From touching up on langa in the earlier episodes to him saying he’d fall for Miya too once he “blossomed.” Again, sk8 the infinity itself isn’t a bad show however characters like Adam make the experience a little more iffy

“Oh he had a bad childhood!!” That’s no excuse for him to act in a sadistic inappropriate manner towards MINORS, please remember that langa is what like 17 and Miya is like 12-13, which just makes his comment even worse. He’s a grown man acting inappropriately towards children there’s really no excusing his behavior. Another thing I’d like to mention is how he literally GROOMED Miya, he was so weird to multiple characters, it didn’t matter their age yet some of you sit here and make excuses as to why he acted the way he did and why he did the things he would do!

I really wanted to love this show, the plot was so unique and different from most anime’s, but it’s definitely not something I would re-watch at least not anytime soon. I definitely found characters I liked and there were many scenes that resonated with me.. but again, it definitely isn’t something I can see myself going back too.

rendering/editing is such a double edged sword for me, I have so much fun doing and making them, like I would love nothing more than to commit so much more of my time rendering/editing, but the bad side of things is, well, burnout, but more importantly, I get incredibly hyperfixated on doing and finishing those renders and edits, like I will commit 8 straight hours of rendering and editing, no breaks at all, and I will not pull myself out of this trance until I finish and post the edits 😭😭 This is kind of a flash into my life and why I don't edit/render as often as I would like to, besides the usual burnout/lack of inspo or motivation

When she's arrested by the KGB, Legasov gets her released on his responsibility. Meanwhile coals miners are assigned to dig a tunnel straight under the reactor, by hand despite scorching heat, so they go naked 'the ancestral way', assuming protective gear won't really give them a survival change.

*It was believed that the three volunteer divers, Alexei Ananenko (mechanical engineer), Valeri Bespalov (senior engineer), and Boris Baranov (shift supervisor), who opened the gates in order to prevent a further catastrophic nuclear meltdown would almost certainly die from severe radiation exposure. It transpired that all three survived after a period of hospitalization, and two were still living at the release of this series. Baranov died of a heart attack in 2005.

I thought I'd post an article about Baby Reindeer, and some of the Behind The Scenes drama going on with that.

(+and there's a bit of my thoughts about the ending of the fictionalized account of those events... Specifically the ending. But it kind of tied into my points on mental illness, and how it correlates to, but doesn't excuse, shitty behavior or mistreatment of others.)

So the show ending thoughts and rant:

The ending of Baby Reindeer broke my heart.

At the end of the day, Martha was a damaged person, just like Donny....

Thus explains the show's continuous utterance/sentiment of: "someone hurt you, didn't they?"

Hurt people, hurt people.

The only difference between Donny and Martha, is that Martha let her own delusions and isolation take her over, and turn her into someone who's obsessive and feels entitled to others... She allows her loneliness to change her and excuse her malicious and cruel behavior.

Some of the most narcissistic people on earth, are also people who are riddled with insecurities.

But unlike Martha, Donny never uses his neurosis, or his worst insecurities excuse his terrible and toxic behavior. Ultimately he regrets and learns from each misstep to avoid repeating them.

His experiences (while traumatic,) merely explain some of his less logical actions, but they never excuse them.

I interpreted the end as an admittance of the similarities he shares with his stalker...

An uncomfortable truth he has to wrestle with sure, reconcile with, maybe.... but doesn't necessarily have to accept.

How both of them are ultimately products of the misfortune in their lives.

And how he has a choice to make going forward: he can either heal, and grow from said traumas, and break the cycle of abuse... or become someone just as bitter and cruel as Martha someday.
