Terraforming Biodiversity

The seedships that arrived at Alpha Centauri had limited space on board for genetic samples, with parahuman and uplift DNA given the highest priority. The unfortunate result being that the vast majority of Old Terra's rich biodiversity died with that planet, leaving Secland and later terraformed worlds an extremely limited gene pool to work with. 

During the terraforming process scientists struggled to fill in the niches left open by a gene bank weighed heavily towards domesticated and laboratory test animals. The possibility of making "downlifted" versions of the uplifted species was proposed but almost universally rejected by the uplifts in question. Instead, the Bureau of Ecosystem Management offered jobs to uplifts filling the ecological roles of their progenitors. This strategy worked surprisingly well, especially with apex predators such as dolphins.

Another approach was to modify the animals they did have using the non-human genes that had been incorporated into parahuman genomes. For instance Secland "bats" are actually heavily modified mice while the procyon is a fox given hand-like paws and a ringed tail.

Late in the terraforming process scientists made a breakthrough that would simplify later efforts. Large complexes of genes that could be activated or deactivated with specific epigenetic triggers were added to the genomes of many species that could produce massive physiological changes in later generations. That way a single breeding colony of ultra-ferrets could give birth to 20-centimeter long mini-ferrets, semi-aquatic ferr-otters, or two-meter mega wolverines as the ecosystem needed.

He was in love with the idea of seeing you walking around the house with a pregnant belly and couldn’t help but smile and pull you close against his chest. He placed small kisses across the bridge of your nose and buried his face in your neck not at all use to this affectionate side of him making you laugh.

Pisces Aphrodite:

He would be so happy. He would honestly start crying. Constantly telling you off if you didn’t anything stupid. Even if you were not showing yet, he would scold you when you did something reckless. He would remind you that you are carrying something far more worthy then any enemy of Athena could be. He would constantly cuddle with you so he could lay his head on your lap and listen to your stomach. He would let you play with his hair and braid it (Already lets you do that even if you are not pregnant.) and would laugh when you pulled a weird hairstyle out of his hair. Damn it he made everything look good. He leaned up and pressed his lips against yours and smiled softly. “Please take care of yourself.” He whispered. #3 Czy Ariana Grande jest “seryjnym zdrajcą?”

Cześć. To jeden z dwóch nowych postów, które możecie dzisiaj przeczytać na moim tumblrze.

Post ten będzie odpowiedzią na wczorajszy wpis na blogu Liv, który miał za zadanie jak zwykle cudownie zmanipulować ludźmi, którzy go czytają. Czy się udało?

Post o którym mowa jest jednym wielkim absurdem i praktycznie niczym nie różni się od poprzednich. Jest oparty na kłamstwach i niedopowiedzeniach. O Arianie Grande jest ostatnio naprawdę bardzo głośno, więc Liv oraz jej czytelniczka dobrze wiedzą co robią.

Ariana jest oceniana przez pryzmat ostatnich wydarzeń, których jak najbardziej nie pochwalam, natomiast nie trzeba być osobą zaślepioną, żeby uznać post na blogu Liv za brednie. Wystarczy po prostu logicznie pomyśleć i nie wyciągać pochopnych wniosków.

Przejdźmy do konkretów.

1. “DRAMA” Z JANETTE MCCURDY

Osoba, która pisała post przybliżyła nam krótką historię powstania serialu “Sam&Cat”. Serial zadebiutował na antenie w 2013 roku, kiedy Ariana miała już na swoim koncie pierwsze muzyczne osiągnięcia. Miała podpisany kontrakt z wytwórnią i czekała na najlepszy moment by w pełni zacząć karierę jako piosenkarka.

Przytoczę tutaj fragment ostatniego wywiadu Ariany dla amerykańskiego VOGUE’A. Całość możecie znaleźć TUTAJ.

“(...) Powinnaś spróbować swoich sił w jakichś programach telewizyjnych, zbudować własną platformę i dobrze to wykorzystać. Jesteś zabawna, urocza i powinnaś to robić do tego momentu, gdy będziesz na tyle dojrzała, aby tworzyć swoją muzykę.”

I czy tak nie było? Właściwie to sama Ariana to przyznała. W 2013 roku, po kilku latach w znanym show “Victoria Znaczy Zwycięstwo”, Ariana zbudowała swoją platformę. Była rozpoznawalna i lubiana. We wrześniu zadebiutował jej pierwszy album, który odniósł duży sukces jak na początkującą artystkę, bo powędrował na 1. miejsce w zestawieniu płyt w Stanach Zjednoczonych!

Jedno co można zarzucić Arianie w tej sprawie, to fakt, że w ogóle podjęła się roli w “Sam&Cat” skoro miała już plany na swoją karierę. Janette miała każde prawo żeby być na nią zła, ale czy w jakiś sposób dojrzała już osoba, musi wyciągać wszystkie brudy publicznie? Odpowiedzcie sobie na to sami.

Najlepsze natomiast jest fakt, że zarówno Janette i Ariana, mają ten konflikt za sobą i nawet się pogodziły. Dalej nie potrafi ruszyć Liv oraz jej czytelniczka, których ten spór w żadnym stopniu nie powinien dotyczyć. Nie wydaje się to Wam śmieszne?

2. “DRAMA” Z VICTORIĄ JUSTICE

Cytuję:

“Nie od dziś wiadomo, że Victoria nie znosi Ariany. Dlaczego? Według mediów jest kilka powodów; Ariana osiągnęła większy sukces jako rola drugoplanowa i to doprowadziło Vic do szału, kolejnym jest fakt, że Ariana na planie zachowywała się jak diva i ciężko było z nią pracować. Fani również dopatrywali się tego, że przez Arianę i Sam & Cat serial z Victorią miał zostać anulowany i to miało być powodem niechęci Justice do Grande. Wybierzcie swoją ulubioną wersję.”

Ariana osiągnęła większy sukces jako rola drugoplanowa i to jest powód do nienawiści do drugiej osoby? Wybierzcie swoją ulubioną wersję, ale pamiętajcie, że żadna z nich nie jest prawdziwa.

Film, który został umieszczony w poście możecie obejrzeć TUTAJ.

Fani Ariany zrobili z tego mema i wyśmiewali się z Victorii jednak od razu gdy Ariana zobaczyła, że taka sytuacja ma miejsce, to skontaktowała się z Victorią a fanów poprosiła o nieużywanie tego filmu.

Victoria nie była shady tylko dodała swoje kilka słów do wypowiedzi Danieli. Taka jest prawda, każda z nich potrafi śpiewać, nie ma się tu czego doszukiwać.

Taki mały disclaimer, nie odniosę się do wszystkiego, bo w poście są opisane sytuacje, w których Ariana naprawdę przegięła, więc nie będę na siłę starał się znaleźć wytłumaczenia na jej czyny.

3. Sprawa z Macem Millerem.

Ta część postu wzbudziła we mnie zwyczajny gniew.

Cytuję przetłumaczony post:

-„Jak absurdalnie umniejszasz wartość kobiety mówiąc jej, że powinna pozostać w toksycznym związku […] Nie jestem niańką ani matką. […] Próbowałam go wspierać w byciu czystym i modliłam się o to by zachował równowagę przez lata (i zawsze będę to robić) ale obwinianie kobiety za to, że facet sam sobie nie radzi to bardzo ważny problem. Przestańcie to robić. Oczywiście nie mówiłam jak ciężkie czy straszne to było gdy trwało. Z głębi mojego serca wciąż będę się modlić by znalazł rozwiązanie i by każda kobieta w takiej sytuacji zrobiła to samo” 

Argument, którzy został użyczy przez czytelniczkę Liv sprawia, że chce mi się wymiotować. Przetłumaczenie postu Ariany przeczy temu co dalej możemy przeczytać w poście.

Mac miał problemy z używkami i alkoholem przez cały jego związek z Arianą. Jeżeli to czytasz i jesteś kobietą to spróbuj postawić się w sytuacji Ariany, która wyraźnie napisała, że robiła wszystko, żeby pomóc mu wyjść z nałogu.

Nie mogła mu pomóc i w pewnym momencie sama straciła siły. W tej sytuacji wystarczy mieć choć trochę wyrozumiałości i współczucia. TO CO ROBIŁ MAC NIE JEST WINĄ ARIANY, JEJ OBOWIĄZKIEM BYŁO ZROBIĆ CO W JEJ MOCY I TO WŁAŚNIE ZROBIŁA.

Nie dziwię się również, że chciała po prostu poczuć się kochana (skoro Mac miał lepsze rzeczy do roboty), dlatego też wylądowała z Pete’m a ich związek okazał się totalną klapą bo wszystko potoczyło się zdecydowanie za szybko.

Cytuję:

“Ariana traktowała i nadal traktuje Maca jak konika do promocji. Czy go kochała? Nie wiem, pewnie tak ale swoich zachowaniem pokazuje kompletny brak szacunki do niego.”

Nie mam słów.

4. “DRAMA” Z FOREVER21

“Ariana pozwała firmę Forever 21 na 10mln dolarów o kradzież jej wizerunku i wykorzystanie jej do promocji nowej kolekcji inspirowanej teledyskiem do 7 rings.”

“Fanki Ariany zaczęły się czepiać, że modelka jest łudząco podobno do Ari. Ale chwila chwila. Czy Ariana czasem nie zatrudniła do TUN dziewczyny która sama przyznała, że robi się na jej kopie?”

Brak logicznego myślenia oraz brak jakiejkolwiek wiedzy.

Ariana wykorzystała wizerunek Gabi DeMartino w teledysku do “Thank U,Next”, która rzeczywiście, jest do niej łudząco podobna. Gabi nie została zaciągnięta na plan siłą i z wielką chęcią i radością przyjęła propozycję Ariany. To w końcu jej teledysk i jej praca.

Firma “Forever21″ bez zgody Ariany użyła osoby podobnej do Ariany. W amerykańskich spotach z kolekcją ludzie przed telewizorami mogli usłyszeć utwór “7 rings” w tle reklamy.

Firma promowała nawet kolekcję na Instagramie w opisie umieszczając kawałek tekstu.

“Gee thanks, just bought it!” Brzmi znajomo?

Wystarczyło jedynie skontaktować się z teamem Ariany i byłoby po sprawie.

Na koniec jeszcze jeden smaczek, który możemy znaleźć w poście!

“Ariana nie jest złem wcielonym. W mojej opinii z charakteru jest mini Seleną tylko popełnia dużo więcej głupich błędów i daje się przyłapać.“

Nawet czytelnikom Liv udzielił się hejt do Seleny, o którym pisałem w ostatnim poście. Nie-do-rze-czne!

Liv zawsze ma możliwość edytowania i usunięcia rzeczy, z którymi się nie zgadza bo te rzeczy zostały opublikowane na jej blogu. Nie zrobiła tego, więc ponosi tego konsekwencje.

Tymczasem, dziękuję Wam, że przebrnęliście przez ten post. Mam nadzieję, że rozwiałem kilka Waszych wątpliwości. Bardzo chciałbym poznać Wasze opinie na ten temat, więc zapraszam na moje social media, które znajdują się niżej.

El pequeño y muy emocionado Kiki, quien rebosa de alegría tras recuperar a su amado maestro se encarga de hacerle su nueva vida un tanto -muy- complicada.

-¡Maestro Mu! ¡Maestro Mu! He salido desde temprano para regar sus flores y traerle las más lindas- Sonríe extendiendo sus pequeños brazos entregándole a su maestro un ramo de pequeñas flores blancas cortadas con todo y raíz.

-¡Kiki! ¿¡Cuántas veces te he dicho que no entres al templo si estas sucio!? Debiste limpiarte al menos un setenta por ciento de toda la suciedad que cargas encima...- El lemuriano esta que hecha chispas. Como cuando cortó en pedazos la manguera con que Afrodita riega sus rosas, para crear el juguete de la trampa para dedos chino del que Dohko le habló; o cuando trajo libros de la biblioteca de Acuario y luego Camus vino con una apariencia no muy linda.... La librera "aparentemente" iba a caer sobre Kiki, corrió a rescatarlo pero a ultimo segundo él se teletransportó y todo le cayó al acuariano.

Quien hubiera pensado que luego de morir junto a sus compañeros, tendría una vida así; aunque hay algo que sigue inquietándolo desde hace mucho. A pesar de lo que los demás santos creen, Mu no es alguien que se exprese fácilmente. Mucho menos si de sus sentimientos se tratase. Cuando vio a quienes fueron sus compañeros resucitados formar parte del ejército de Hades, se sorprendió. No, no solo eso, sintió decepción. Y ese sentimiento fue mucho más fuerte hacia esa "persona especial". Quien lo vio crecer y que, cuando su maestro estaba en asuntos patriarcales se encargaba de él. Tiempo después, dio su vida junto a él; fundiéndose con el resto de sus compañeros en un solo ataque. Desde ese día, no le ha vuelto a ver.

-¿Dónde estarás?- Dice en un susurro mientras limpia el suelo que previamente ensució su pupilo.

-¿Por quién te precupas tanto, Mu?- Esa voz lo saca de sus memorias, hace rato que no escuchaba eso que, para él, era una melodía. Voltea para encontrarse con el portador de tal majestuosidad.

Hey you all, I’m so sorry for being absent these past few weeks. I haven’t been in my writing mood for a couple of months, but I been completely absent the past few weeks… So I’m gonna give you a recap of how these past 3 weeks have been for me…

So I started the week, 3 weeks ago, with going back to my speech therapist again. Yes, I stutter and yes, it will never go away completely… No big deal for me, but the techniques I learn there, help me in my daily life. I also went to the doctor’s for the pain in my right calf muscle.. He didn’t see anything, gave me painkillers and said it would go away… I got a bit irritated again, because it was blue, swollen and that’s the answer I almost always get.

School that week wasn’t very excited, I didn’t have a model so I had to train on my exercise head again. Did break my own record in doing a perm. We have to roll a complete perm in an hour max, and I did it in 50 minutes, my record was 52 =]

Thursday I had my last Taekwondo training before my exam on Friday. It was good to go over everything I had to do like kicks, techniques and walking my daeguk. Afterwards we went for a drink in town. It was really fun to socialize with the group and build my friendship with them. They told me the sweetest thing!! They said I was a really good and fun addition for the team =] To hear that makes me feel really good. I’ve lived in this area for three years now and still haven’t got any friends. So it really did do me good =] I’m happy to have found that group of people and really like them =]

So Friday was the big day for me. My first Taekwondo exam. It was really tough on my stamina hahahahah… I did make a few dumb mistakes. Like with the sparring part, I don’t have any protection yet, so I kicked against an elbow, it hurts like shit, and guess what… a minute later I kicked with my other foot against the other elbow.. So it gave me two very blue feet, a few bruises on my arms and shins and the worst part to tell you guys… Before sparring I had to show kicking techniques on pillows my friend [she’s a black belt] held up. But she held up two for a jumping kick and because of my calf muscle I calculated my jumped kick to land on my left leg. But in the heat of the battle I had to do a double jumped kick aaaaaannddd landed on my right leg… So I have a tear in my MCL- or more commonly known as my inner knee ligament [just found that out last Tuesday by the way] – I felt it snap and had to spar after that… whoops… But all in all it was worth it and I passed!! That weekend we visited mu aunt and her wife. I was sore, bruised and tired, but most of all sad… It was the first time being there and Simba not greeting us… She was their dog and child.. She was 14, but 4 in spirit… I got the news while doing groceries the weekend before. It broke me, I grew up with Simba. Think about it she was 14, I’m 24 years… So that was a weird and emotional weekend….

After this busy week it got boring and painful… I couldn’t go to Taekwondo for a while [that while ain’t over yet, sadly] and that made me miss my friends and my two occasions of getting out of the house in the week… It also screwed my schedule.. I just got used to working out twice a week, and that made me feel good.. Now that’s gone for a while and that makes me sad and restless.. I feel stuck in my house, especially with my knee… So no Taekwondo, a lot of job hunting and school this week was with my exercise head again. This wasn’t for the fact I couldn’t find a model, but because we got a colouring demo and a test run with water mixed with a hair mask on our exercise heads…. It was a lot of information, but exciting to start colouring other’s hair =]…

Then the real fun began.. Hello to having a fucking fever for four days =/ it was good for my bingewatching as you can see from Thursday through Sunday hahahahaaa… So that wraps up the first two weeks…

So last week was kind of exciting for the family. On Monday my father-in-law got a new pacemaker. That’s always a tricky thing in my opinion… But it went very well and he’s doing better after having the surgery.. So the rest of the week was me limping, me job hunting, me doing a mini makeover with a haircut on my model [and she’s going for another haircut and a perm in april woohoo], me giving my father-in-law a haircut after the hairdresser didn’t do a great job and asked me to do it. He was happy with it and so was I. I haven’t had training in cutting a man’s hair [will cover it in the second year] and he was my first male haircut =] I’m glad I can learn from the saying ‘Monkey see, monkey do’ hahahaha..

Today was a slow day. Had a tough night sleeping.. Because of the stinging pain in my leg and my bf woke me up twice. He couldn’t sleep so the first was because of the light of the TV [my mask had slipped from my eyes] and the second time because he felt like eating Oreo’s and ripping the package. And I can guarantee you, plastic ain’t silent xD So I had a tough time falling asleep again after the Oreo incident and that kept me up for 45 minutes again… Finally fell asleep and got some more hours luckily.. But I’m still tired as shit and so today wasn’t a very quick day… Watched some Grimm episodes, prepped some review posts to finish them – hopefully tomorrow – and made fresh tomato soup… Guess what.. I forgot my soup veggies =/ the most essential ingredient… So I had soup with meat and pasta today and will buy the veggies and add them tomorrow hahahaha… I am glad I finally caught up with my blog again and have the motivation to write my reviews again… Not in the same speed as before, but I’m getting there..

I did do a lot of reading these past few weeks. =] Good books will keep you reading on hahaha… So I finished Carve the Mark on January 29 and The Tales of Beedle the Bard on February 4. Since then I’ve read The Gender Secret and The Gender Lie by Bella Forrest, Haven by Katherine Bogle from a review copy, Caraval by Stephanie Garber and First Year, Non-Heir, and Apprentice by Rachel E. Carter. I’m really excited by and in love with The Black Mage series by Rachel E. Carter =] It’s sooooo good!!!!

My next reads will be Candidate, and Last Stand by Rachel E. Carter, Passenger, and Wayfarer by Alexandra Bracken and if I make it this month The Gender War by Bella Forrest… The Gender Secret series is also really, really good!!!
