dec 2024 - artist of the month

ATEEZ’s Jieun has been selected as STUDIO CHOOM’s Artist of the Month for December 2024! Six years after debut, Jieun has gained wide recognition for her skills in dance. She has participated in the choreography making of many of ATEEZ’s performances, as well as for other artists such as Xikers, Zerobaseone and I-LAND 2.

Jieun’s AOTM features a self-choreographed performance to Ariana Grande’s “Greedy” that showcases her powerful yet elegant dance style and her love for storytelling through dance.

jieun was in shock when she found out she was chosen, especially upon finding out she was given the opportunity to choreograph her performance herself

she felt slightly pressured because she wanted to truly show how much she’d grown as a dancer over the years

the others already knew about her being chosen beforehand, but jieun refused to let any of them see the choreography

so the teezers got to see jieun’s aotm performance at the same time as everyone else (post abt that coming soon hehe)

she worked really closely with her choreographer who gave some really good suggestions

it was really hard to keep the secret, especially from the others, but it was really fun having them all react at the same time

the choreography features a lot of partner work and couple’s choreo, especially during the chorus

lots of hip swaying, texture changes, sudden timing changes, smirks, etc

there is a subtle reference to ateez as jieun incorporated the deja vu choreography into her own part

she also references wooyoung’s choreography from his aotm

possibly the most iconic part of the entire video is during the final chorus when jieun sheds her leather jacket and continues to dance while holding it over her shoulder

it was just such a fun choreography that perfectly captured jieun’s identity as a dancer

you said we might add onto the reasons why we love yunho and while i love him for pretty much the same reasons as you do, i can say i grew closer to him because of how different we are from one another.

yunho is literally my opposite personality wise, he's cheerful, happy go-lucky and so energetic and passionate that he just lends himself to be loved. he has this energy that draws you to him. he's sweet, he's attentive, and while you said he's also very observant of his sorroundings, he's also very observant of atiny. if you see his interactions at send off, how he stays back and listens so carefully to what everyone has to say, hotteoks or not.

he's extremely intelligent and his way with words always amazes me. the way he portrays his emotions when he writes, how he always has the right words. his messages on fromm are always so well written and carefully thought in a way that you can see his sincereness and how profound his love for others is. and that's another big quality of his. the love he has for his family, for his members, for his hobbies and passions.

his recent take on religion, how much it means to him and while many of us aren't big on this, he has said time and time again that he's always praying for us and wishing us well.

and this is not my delulu talking or me setting my unrealistic expectations of yunho, but he's truly, a good person. he has a heart of gold, and while he's very vocal with gifts and words, he's also a big act of service guy, always thinking of what the people around him might need, how he can help everyone, how he can make sure those around him are well, loved, happy. if you notice how he is with mingi? that's the real yunho right there and i don't think there's an ounce of lie in the way he looks at his best friend. one might joke with yungi, the ships and how we want them to "be in love" but honestly, yunho as a friend melts my heart. he's always si ready to be what mingi needs, to be there if his friend falls apart, if he's alone, if he doubts himself. he loves ateez so much, but you can see the soft spot behind those glittery eyes whenever mingi smiles or does something goofy.

i needed a reason to ramble on my love for him, and im glad i found one. i hope this gives the person in the ask you answered, more than one reason to see what yunho means for us.
