Talus Trove [Vol 5.]

I had to update my beta minecraft world to 1.0 because endermen kept taking my buildings and trees apart but it feels so wrong to have updated a beta world to a standard version

#random stuff #I also ran out of practical things to do again #I mean that's why I updated from beta 1.7.3 to 1.8.1 #but it feels weirdly similar to regular minecraft now #it's starting to get into standard features that didn't used to work as well #like uh. xp being hard to get and enchanting being a pain #most of the stuff in this version is related to combat. with the nether fortresses and the end and all #and I was enjoying being able to avoid combat for the most part honestly #I definitely appreciate the beta 1.8 features of being able to run and bows being fixed. those made the game a lot easier #but now it's like 'oh boy time to go to the nether and the end' boooo

#joe moment #minecraft #OK small update #me and klai got to the end and killed the ender dragon over a week ago #so yippee. although the dragon ate my old armour early battle </3 lucky Ive been saving a bunch of netherite #and I did end up finding a nether fortress. very tempted to summon a wither...#grinding achievements has been fun #I've gathered my materials for a new home #though I currently have no idea where to build it.#I managed to find an end city #create an exp farm #and just finished making a creeper farm today #as u can see #a lot of chaos has been going on in my time playing solo #since im the only one who goes on the server quite often #hopefully I can find an ocean monument... or a trial chamber #im doing everything but build my house atm LOL #ALSO im not floating in this pic. "I'm mining for iron, collecting more iron is my goal!" I lie, knowing that the truth is clear: I chose stone bricks for this really tall build without considering just how much cobblestone that requires by default

#minecraft #building a stone brick tower to get in and out of the nether fortress in a safer manner compared to other methods #each floor is 3 blocks tall not including the roof of the floor #so an 8x8x3 interior on each floor #the tower's only 3 floors tall and I'm almost out of stone bricks entirely #and I'm nowhere near the level of the nether fortress #while also being close enough that blazes are able to float down and shoot at me if they want to #(and boy do they want to at that)#I mean at least wither skeletons aren't falling into the tower mid-construction but the situation could still be better

I avoided making a smoker or blast furnace in minecraft for a long time bc I was very stubbornly clinging to my "back in MY day we used a furnace for everything and we liked it" ideals, but I made both of those in my survival world yesterday just to try them out and like. Damn I wish I'd done that sooner the updates weren't lyin those things are efficient as hell

Similar to how the Minecraft cave spider is slightly smaller than the average spider model, I think glow squids should have a smaller model than the normal squid

audie minecraft update: went on a trip to the nether. found a bastion! looted it! didnt get much. but i did get two ancient debris!
