Thinking about the scenario of if Carolina became the Meta instead of Maine again. And I've been thinking about if it would talk.
First, rambles on general shape of Carolina as the Meta:
Given the state Carolina was in during the fall of Project Freelancer,bI could absolutely see Sigma being able to talk her over that line, to attacking teammates she could overcome to become the best again.
And I've been thinking about what that Meta would be like as a villain. Maine as the Meta was an unstoppable force, the man it was built on top of was just ludicrously difficult to kill. This let the Meta survive anything thrown at it while the AI selected how it would hammer back. Some of this durability was due to equipment, but it seems like a lot of it was inherited from Maine himself. Carolina is unquestionably durable, but I don't think it would be so defining to her Meta. I think Carolina as the Meta would be characterized more as lethal, you do not get the chance to make it survive damage, you just die. And honestly, I could see this Meta succeeding where the Meta built on Maine failed. There wouldn't be time to figure out how to deal with a Meta built upon Carolina, everyone would be dead already.
Now, onto that talking bit I mentioned at the start: would a Meta built off of Carolina talk?
The Meta we got in the show had its iconic growl, but that was born of the fact that it was the only way Maine could vocalize after having been shot (repeatedly) in the throat. This trait would probably be absent from a Meta built on Carolina.
And we have an example of a chatty Meta, the Meta 2.0 thing from RvB Restoration is constantly talking as it goes about its business. And whatever it is that's doing the talking must be emergent from all the minds forming the Meta 2.0, as we see Tucker and the individual AI that make it up are able to speak as individuals, distinct from whatever it is that does most of the talking for the Meta 2.0.
Then countering that though, is that the original Meta built off of agent Maine could speak. We see it do so in season 6 when questioning the Director about the Alpha. Its speech is just somewhat chaotic, the composite AI that make it up all shouting out individually.
2.0 was chatty though, so that was probably due to the differences between its makeup and that of the original Meta. The first thing that comes to mind is the throwaway line about Felix somehow being incorporated into it, and that could certainly bias it towards being talkative, derisive, and overconfident as we see in Restoration. And perhaps there's also something to the fact that it is made up of fragments of fragments, made of what Epsilon remembered of the others rather than of pieces of the Alpha.
Regardless, I feel like a Meta based on Carolina would take after the original Meta, able to speak but choosing not to.
Though, this does make me wonder what was happening inside the Meta's helmet whenever it let out one of those growls. What did that vocalization mean to it? I don't have an easy answer. Maybe a Meta built off of Carolina would grunt, or snarl in its own way even if it chose not to speak.

Halo Reloaded: Advice
In the quiet corridors of the Autumn 2.0, the air was thick with anticipation as John-117 made his way toward Naomi-010's quarters. Unarmored for once, his towering figure moved with a deliberation uncharacteristic of the battlefield legend. He paused at Naomi's door, taking a moment to collect his thoughts before pressing the chime.Naomi, surprised by the unexpected visit, opened the door to find the Spartan-II she rarely saw out of his armor. Her blonde hair fell loosely around her shoulders, a stark contrast to the usual tight bun she sported under her helmet. "John?" she began, her tone a mix of curiosity and caution. "What brings you here?"
John's gaze lingered on her for a moment, the weight of his request making him momentarily hesitant. "I need advice," he finally said, his voice betraying none of the uncertainty that flickered behind his stoic expression.Naomi stepped aside to let him in, her expression puzzled. "Advice? From me?" she asked as she closed the door behind him. The very idea seemed to perplex her. "What about?"
"It's about Linda," John admitted, the name alone enough to convey the depth of his concern. "We...we're seeing each other. And I want to take her out, do something special for her."
Naomi raised an eyebrow, the pieces clicking into place. Yet, she couldn't help but wonder why John had come to her. "And you're asking me because...?"John shifted uncomfortably, the topic clearly out of his comfort zone. "Because of Vaz," he said, referring to Vasily "Vaz" Beloi, the ODST with whom Naomi had been in a relationship for several months. "I figured, since you're with someone outside the Spartan program, you might know a thing or two about...this."
Naomi's cheeks flushed with a mixture of embarrassment and surprise. It was rare for Spartans to discuss personal matters so openly, and John's acknowledgment of her relationship with Vaz felt both invasive and flattering. "John, I'm hardly an expert on romance," she confessed with a sheepish smile. "But if you're looking for advice, I'll share what I can."John nodded, grateful for any insight she could offer. Naomi took a moment to gather her thoughts, her advice more earnest than expert. "Well, for starters, it's important to remember it's not about where you go or what you do, but the thought behind it. Linda's not just any Spartan. Think about what she enjoys, what makes her happy. It could be something as simple as a quiet place to watch the stars, or maybe a live-fire training session if that's more her speed."
John listened intently, Naomi's words sparking ideas in his mind. "And," Naomi continued, "communication is key. Make sure she knows this is special, that it's about the two of you spending time together. It doesn't have to be grand, just...meaningful." The Chief nodded, his usual confidence returning. "Thank you, Naomi," he said sincerely. "I appreciate it, more than you know."Naomi smiled, a genuine warmth in her eyes. "Anytime, John."
As John turned to leave, a newfound resolve in his step, Naomi couldn't help but feel a sense of camaraderie that went beyond their shared duties. In the world of Spartans, where vulnerability was a luxury few could afford, moments of genuine human connection were rare and precious. John's visit, awkward as it might have been, was a reminder that beneath the armor and the accolades, they were all still human, still capable of love.

Timeline of today's events: (15 August 2024)
Acara perayaan hari kemerdekaan Indonesia
- Wake up at 6:11 AM
"Shit I'm gonna be late"
- Go to school, arrive at exactly 7 AM
Btw I took my helmet with me because I was participating in the event and I needed it, I would be holding this helmet like someone with mental issues for the rest of the day.
- Teacher tells us to turn in our phones
"Ah shit. Ok you know what that's fine" - Me
- Go to the field (very hot), sit on the ground for 3 hours. Nobody to talk to, not interested in the event whatsoever
I already wanted to go home at this point, however I still had a competition to attend within the event. I was expecting it to come soon but it didn't.
- Break time, go back to the school building. I took a nap at the lobby for god knows how long.
"I WANT TO GO HOOOOOOOOMEEEEEEEEEE WHY DID I SIGN UP FOR THIS"
- Go back to the field, sit there for another few hours in the sun.
WHERE IS MY EVENT I'M TIRED OF THIS
- Break time 2.0. About 12 AM. Go back to the school building and nap in an unfinished computer lab nobody goes to.
It was kinda hot there but the silence was nice. Now the only possible time my part came up would be after this break.
- Go back to the field (again) at about 1:38 PM, participated in Balap Karung and well, lost.
Ok so basically you get into a sack and you run across the field (they didn't let us jump smh). This is also what the helmet was for. I made a silly mistake at the start so yeah.
- Ask the teacher to let me go home, he denied.
- Ask the principal to let me go home, she denied.
They let me go back to the school's lobby, though
- I went back to the school's lobby, where I proceeded to walk back and forth for about 2 hours.
Yep, just walking back and forth. Very slowly I might add. For 2 hours. I was very bored. The only thing that was on my mind was going home. Every time the teacher showed up, I asked him if I could go home. He denied, of course.
- At 3:15 PM, I grabbed my phone and hid somewhere outside of the school building
I wanted to text my dad to pick me up, but my phone was dead. Luckily, I brought a powerbank. After charging it a little bit, I opened my phone to 4 MISSED CALLS FROM MY PARENTS who were VERY concerned from about 17 minutes ago. Apparently my dad was already otw.
- At 3:30, my dad arrived at school and I finally got to go home.
Conclusion: I am never, EVER participating in a school's event. Never again. I'd rather just not show up. I think I had some thoughts about uh... "sh" near the end. This was a horrible experience and I felt very excluded. It felt like torture sometimes.
I love being an introvert
Written by yours truly as soon as he got home

smashes through the blog walls again, it's me...sadly
It's more about my oc and what kind of shit she does in Transformers armada (my oc is like a oc that can travel through different fandoms)
Sam likes playing with the bots fingers or just something to fiddle with, at random moments she would go to the bots if they're busy or not, just ask for their servo and starts making it close and open until that urge is gone,, either she'll leave or sit inside their servo and take a small nap or work on a project (or help whatever said bot is doing)
They don't mind, tbh, it's like a small massage to their fingers.
Said oc also has anxiety (and uh separation anxiety or something? It's because of her past so yeah!!) So whenever my oc starts randomly having nightmares or in public (I hc that the bots/cons already have holoforms) they'll just hold their hands or stay really close and follow them anywhere.
Similarities to the bots is, headphones like hotshots, glasses = red alert visors, green jacket (doesn't bring along much) scavengers colour, blue/yellow scarf is Sideswipes colours, orange bracelet which is smokescreen colour and name on it, Blurr + Jetfire colours are her shoes which also has a lil autobot logo
She has this one helmet (which oc obviously made as a project) that's equally same to Optimuses one lol
Tiny red alert 2.0 is because, red hasn't realised he has mentally adopted Sam, both same hand/arm literally got cut off and replaced, both knows medical shit and c a r s, both literally doesn't sleep atp lmfao, visors/glasses. Blind asses, sadly Sam isn't one for work but prefers relaxing odhsiahs
AGHH IM SO SORRY THAT U HAVE TO HEAR ME YAP MORE..
-🏍 Anon
She's so damn cute, help
Now I imagine a tiny itty bitty thing playing with the bots hands! And she having accessories resembling every bot???? Aaaaauhhhggghh😭❤️❤️
And it's, Don't worry about telling me about your ocs, honestly, I really do enjoy reading about people ocs so don't be worried about bothering me, you aren't :]

Wolfstar Microfic: Shouldn’t Be, But Is
Part 1/2: Moony
‘That really shouldn’t be as attractive as it is,’ Remus thought, watching the man peel black gloves off slender, porcelain hands. He watched as he lifted the helmet off his head, tilting it upside down, throwing the gloves inside, and then raking a hand through tousled hair.
It was so unfunny— the way he stretched forward when dismounting the seat and throwing a leg over the backend, standing straight as he locked the handlebars in place then rotated the bike on its kickstand. It was a lot of bike, and the strain in the mans forearms told Remus is wasn’t light by any measure.
At this point, watching Padfoot— as he’d come to learn was his instagram handle— pull up to uni in all his mysterious bad-boy glory was the only thing keeping Remus’ attendance record in good standing. He liked school, sure; he was good at it, even, but that seemed to be the issue. No test was any match and no lecture was riveting and new. It was high school 2.0.
What was riveting and new, however, was his fascination with this mystery man. The first time he’d watched him swerve into the parking spot diagonal of his chosen study place he’d thought, ‘how obnoxious.’ How could one vehicle make so much noise? The sway of the tree leaves above him was completely drowned out by the growling of the black bikes engine.
Remus watched as the man looked up from where he was typing on his phone, catching his killer unimpressed glance, and immediately scrambling to kill the engine and take off his gear. He’d ran up to Remus with frantic apologies of disturbing his reading and promises of never doing it again.
It was then that Remus decided he wouldn’t mind, rather, he’d like it if he disturbed him again.
And so, a semester of Remus’ playful teasing and Padfoot’s over dramatic displays of apology took off with vigor. It was natural, almost.
Remus would return to his shady study spot, read for half an hour, listen for the zippy sound of Sirius’ motorcycle, only slightly abashadly check him out, chat him up when he ran over to see what Remus was up to, then watch him run off to the tech building.
When he’d leave, Remus would stare blankly at the book, replaying the way Padfoot’s fingers would flex around the clutch and his foot would fiddle with the gear, or the way his back would arch in a stretch when he’d shake off the buzz of the journey, or the way he’d unzip his leather jacket and roll his shoulders… All in all, that book was not getting read and Remus had never wished to be a piece of machinery more.

ongoing commentary abt Thoughts™️ bc bouncing ideas around with you is an absolute delight:
so I’m a history nerd with interest in WWI. I really love the British officers’ dress uniforms (photo for reference).
Anyway, I know we’ve seen the rank-and-file angels’ battle uniforms (tan with ugly white helmets), but what if the Archangels get different uniforms since they’re essentially generals? Specifically ^^ that uniform in “Archangel Gray” and a pair of gold wings as the rank insignia on the cap and lapels.
Idk,, I just had a vivid moment of imagination where Aziraphale walks out of the elevator dressed as a commanding officer, through rows of uniformed angels standing at attention, up to the front where he joins the other Archangels to take command of the Heavenly Host and presumably commence Armageddon 2.0. (I also imagine the Climactic Face-Off with Aziraphale and Crowley standing back-to-back in the street in front of the bookshop, readying themselves to fight together as both armies of Heaven and Hell march down either end of Whickber Street towards the two of them.)
hello darling @silcosmoke!!!✨💕 i hope you don't mind that i saved this one!!! not that i have anything to add to it tbh though, that image is delicious and i love it!!! though it has got me wondering in a similar vein - if they do depict the battle before the fall (i can't imagine they... wouldn't?) - what kind of uniform they'll end up using for that? can't be something 'modern', presumably, but maybe along the lines of:
#im somewhat embarrassed that the last example is from exodus but i like a fair few of ridley scott's films idgaf#good omens#ask

Post-Election Funnybook Roundup: Who Killed Cock(y) Robin? I Killed Cock(y) Robin.
by Glen Weldon - November 5, 2008
Now that the last balloons have dropped, we as a nation can take comfort in the knowledge that, one again, millions of us exercised our right to vote and so set in motion the peaceful transfer of power that is the hallmark of this, our American democracy.
And let me note one other thing: That this latest round of quadrennial participation in the Grand Experiment resulted in not even a single masked, pixie-booted young crimefighter getting beaten to a bloody pulp with a crowbar.
And then blown up.
By an evil clown.
Just moments after he'd been reunited with his long-lost mother.
All worth noting, because that's pretty much exactly what happened the first time I ever voted, just over 20 years ago. My vote -- and those of my like-minded fellows -- killed Robin, the Boy Wonder.
And we'd do it again.
After the jump: The day a surprisingly tiny number of geeks (and a 900 number) accomplished what even Gotham's greatest villains never dared to dream.
Granted, it was a telephone vote. And to clarify, we didn't off the original Robin, aka Dick Grayson -- the laughing, punning, "Holy-Priceless-Collection-of-Etruscan-Snoods-Batman!" Boy Wonder.
No, this was his replacement, Jason Todd. (The original Robin had flown the nest years prior, adopting the hero codename Nightwing.)
And in our defense, Jason was kind of a punk. Cocky, insolent, hot-headed, impulsive, resentful.
So when DC Comics gave us the chance to off the li'l jerk, we leapt at it.
The time: September 1988. The issue: Batman 427, in which young Jason Todd travels to Ethiopia (never mind) and finds his mother, an aid worker. Jason reveals his identity to Mom, whereupon she turns him over to the Joker, who, as it happens, is hanging around Addis Abbaba in khaki shorts and a pith helmet. (Seriously: never mind).
Turns out the Joker's in cahoots with mom, who's embezzling medical supplies (NEVER MIND!). The Joker beats young Jason with a crowbar -- off-panel, sorta -- and blows up a warehouse, with Jason and Mom still inside.
End of issue; to be continued.
And that's when we saw the announcement: "Robin will die because the Joker wants revenge. But you can prevent it with a telephone call."
Editors had prepared two different versions of the next issue, Batman 428. In one, Robin survived the blast. In the other, not so much.
For a 36 hour period -- from 9:00 am on September 15, 1988 to 8:00 pm on Sept. 16,1988, in point of fact -- fans could call to register their vote, at the low low price of 50 cents per call.
I was one such fan. One out of a number that still strikes me as bafflingly small -- just over 10,000 votes in all.
Note: Among comics readers, avowing that you participated in the Jason Todd Death Vote is akin to being of a certain age and swearing you were at Woodstock. Nevertheless, I do so hereby avow. I'm prepared to swear to it on a stack of 'Mazing Mans.
The verdict:
Jason lives! -- 5,271 votes.
Jason Todd becomes Jason, Tod -- 5,343 votes. Abyssinia, Boy Blunder.
Yep, it was 72 freakin' votes that did Robin 2.0 in.
And so it was that in Batman 428, the Darknight Detective found Jason Todd's lifeless form (the presence of a body being universal comic book shorthand for Not Only Merely Dead, But Really Most Sincerely Dead.)
The book, and the Batman, soldiered on. In the next issue, the Joker became ... Iran's ambassador to the UN.
No kidding. Took to wearing a gutrah and everything and LOOK, I'M REALLY SERIOUS ABOUT THE WHOLE 'NEVER MIND' THING.
Batman eventually found yet another Robin -- the much cooler, much less make-ya-wanna-throttle-him Tim Drake. (Recently, Bruce Wayne actually adopted Tim Drake -- none of that "youthful ward" jazz anymore.)
And Jason Todd, in a bold and refreshing break from longstanding comic book tradition, managed to actually stay dead for almost two decades straight.
Then, um, he got better.
Never. Mind.

Guide to Choosing the Right Honda Bike Showroom in Noida
Purchasing your dream Honda two-wheeler is an exciting milestone. With numerous authorized Honda dealerships across Noida, picking the right showroom to maximize your purchase satisfaction and ownership experience becomes critical.
Key Factors When Choosing the Premier Honda Bike Showroom in Noida:
Focus on Exclusive Honda Showrooms
Dedicated exclusive Honda showrooms should top your priority list. Unlike multi-brand outlets, exclusive Honda dealerships like Republic Honda offer access to the complete Honda two-wheeler range under one roof.
You can explore all the popular Honda scooters like Activa, Dio, Grazia, etc., and motorbikes like CB Shine, Unicorn, Livo, Hornet 2.0, etc at Republic Honda’s state-of-the-art display. Exclusive dealers also offer niche Big Bike models like GoldWing, CBR650R, and CB300R for enthusiasts.
Test Ride Multiple Models Extensively
Liberal test ride policies are crucial when selecting a dealership. Republic Honda encourages lengthy test rides of any model so you can gauge real-time performance.
Testing gear shifting, throttle response, braking, suspension, mileage, comfort, and ease of handling on Noida’s diverse roads allows you to make an informed purchase decision. Dealers who limit test rides do not offer this valuable experience.
Evaluate Inventory for More Pre-Owned Options
Along with new Honda bikes and scooters, also consider the pre-owned inventory at the dealership. Showrooms like Republic Honda with a vast collection of used and pre-owned Honda two-wheelers give you more affordable options to choose from.
Pre-owned models are thoroughly serviced and restored for resale. You can get your hands on discontinued classics or barely used bikes at attractive prices if the pre-owned stock is ample.
Compare Finance Schemes and Accessory Bundles
While making price comparisons across showrooms, look beyond just the listed rates. Evaluate additional savings you can avail of via finance schemes, EMI packages, and bundled accessories.
For example, Republic Honda offers hassle-free financing from leading banks, easy EMIs, and savings on insurance renewals. You can also opt for their specially curated accessories packages on helmets, bike covers, lights, etc. that enhance savings.
After-Sales Service Capabilities Matter
Don’t just focus on the purchase stage. An extensive on-site service center for maintenance, repairs, and upgrades adds immense post-purchase peace of mind.
Showrooms like Republic Honda have invested in advanced tools, Honda-trained technicians, and spare parts inventory to offer world-class after-sales support. This ensures your two-wheeler is always in peak condition.
Factor in Location and Dealer Reputation
Apart from the sales and service offerings, the showroom’s location accessibility and industry reputation also hold importance. Well-reviewed dealerships like Republic Honda that are conveniently located deliver a smooth end-to-end experience.
By optimizing all the above parameters, you can identify the Honda showroom that ticks all the boxes. Choosing Noida’s premier dealership like Republic Honda which excels across display range, test rides, pricing, finance deals, and after-sales service ensures you make the most satisfying two-wheeler purchase.
So visit Republic Honda today to explore the exciting range of Honda bikes and scooters in Noida stress-free! Their customer-centric approach will make you a Honda customer for life.

Halo Reloaded: Rogue
Under the harsh artificial lights of the Autumn 2.0’s hangar bay, an impromptu arena was set, charged with an electric anticipation. Arrayed in a loose semi-circle, Blue, Red, Cobalt, and Silver Teams stood in full battle regalia, their armor a kaleidoscope of war-torn stories. In their midst, almost deceptively calm, stood John-117. His stance was relaxed, but there was an undeniable tension in the air, the kind that precedes storms.
Fred-104, of Blue-Team, took a step forward, his voice echoing slightly off the metallic walls. "John, you’re making a mistake. We’ve bled together, faced down the impossible. You don’t have to walk this path alone."
John’s helmet tilted slightly, considering Fred’s words. "This isn’t about us," he replied, his voice betraying a hint of underlying conflict. "It’s about Cortana. I can’t, I won’t, leave her to face whatever’s out there on her own."
Jerome-092, the de facto leader of Red-Team, chimed in with a mix of frustration and understanding. "You taught us to value the chain of command, to trust in the system. Why can't you follow your own advice?"
"It's not that simple," John countered, his tone firm. "This goes beyond orders. If there's a chance Cortana needs me, I have to try."
Yaz-112, her voice as cool and measured as her tactical mind, added, "We get loyalty, John. But defying direct orders? This is bigger than any single Spartan. We have to think about the consequences."
"Maybe you’re right," John conceded, though his stance remained unyielded. "But if there’s even a sliver of hope that I can help her, then I have to act. Consequences be damned."
With those final words, the uneasy truce shattered...
As the first move was made, John launched himself into the fray with a burst of speed that blurred the lines between human capability and machine-like efficiency. He met Kelly-087's charge head-on, their collision a thunderclap of power. Kelly, renowned for her unmatched speed, darted around John in a dizzying display, striking from all sides. But John, ever the tactician, anticipated her patterns, catching her mid-lunge and using her momentum to hurl her into a nearby Warthog, the impact echoing like a struck gong.
No sooner had Kelly been dealt with than Linda-058 took her shot from afar, her sniper rounds singing through the air. John twisted and dodged with preternatural agility, closing the distance between them with a calculated rush. He vaulted over a crate, grabbed a discarded energy sword, and deflected a bullet at the last second, the round grazing his armor. In a fluid motion, he disarmed Linda, their faces inches apart, before gently pushing her back with a nudge that said, "Gotcha."
The spectacle drew the attention of Jerome-092, Douglas-042, and Alice-130 of Red Team, who advanced as a cohesive unit. Jerome, leading the charge, was a behemoth, his every step shaking the ground. John met his advance with a defiant roar, their fists clashing with the force of cannon fire. Meanwhile, Douglas and Alice attempted a pincer maneuver, but John, ever vigilant, released a smoke grenade, obscuring their vision. Amidst the confusion, he engaged them in close combat, delivering a series of precise, disabling blows that left them momentarily incapacitated.
With Red Team down, Cobalt and Silver Teams joined the fray, their movements a whirlwind of strategic precision. Yet, John, standing at the eye of the storm, was a force of nature unto himself. He intercepted Yaz-112 and Karim-002 mid-assault, their fists and feet a blur of motion. John ducked, weaved, and countered, his armor scoring with each contact yet never yielding. A swift, judicious kick sent Karim skidding across the floor, while Yaz found herself caught in a lock that required her to yield lest her arm be broken.
Riz-028 and Kai-125 of Silver Team, not to be outdone, launched a coordinated aerial assault, jet packs igniting as they descended upon John like avenging angels. But John, predicting their trajectory, rolled away at the last moment, causing them to collide with each other instead. As they untangled themselves, John saluted them mockingly before moving on.
The climax of the battle saw John facing Vannak-134, his size and strength rivaling that of Jerome. Their duel was a masterpiece of power and agility, each blow from Vannak met with a parry or dodge from John. The hangar rang with the sound of their conflict until John, seizing an opening, executed a stunning judo throw that sent Vannak crashing into a stack of supply crates.
Breathing heavily, John scanned the hangar, his opponents defeated but unharmed, their respect for him undiminished by the battle.
As John reached the Condor, ready to make his escape, Kai-125’s voice crackled over the comm. "You know this makes you a traitor, right? There’s no turning back from this."John paused, his hand on the Condor’s hatch. "I know," he admitted, the weight of his decision clear in his voice. "But if there's the slightest chance I can save her, then it's a risk I'm willing to take."
He didn’t wait for a response, sealing the hatch behind him and launching into the unknown, leaving a wake of mixed feelings among his fellow Spartans. They understood his motivations, even if they couldn’t agree with his methods. John had made his choice, driven by a loyalty that transcended orders, a dedication to a friend that could not be swayed by protocol or decree. In the aftermath, as the Spartans regrouped, there was an unspoken agreement. John had chosen his path, driven by a bond that, to him, was worth any sacrifice. And while they couldn’t follow him down that path, they couldn’t help but respect his resolve. In the end, John did what he believed was right, consequences be damned.

Update on my Pokemon X Team! (AKA Pokemon X Team 2.0)
Yay more stuff about my team! This time with a read more because this is going to be long. (Side Note I forgot to elaborate on last time: For the majority of me playing the game, I don’t focus too much on the story for it to line up with the Pokemon. Partially because I started this playthrough just to know what it would be like if one of my trainer OCs had journeyed Kalos. There’s one current exception...But I’ll get to that soon.)
Sakura (Delphox) [Level 38] (She/Her) Calm, but still very finicky After traveling with a group that saw and accepted her, Sakura evolved not for strength, but because she accepted her true self! It took a while, but after evolution, she quickly took charge. Now instead of avoiding experiences and battles, the Delphox now finds excitment in battle. Unlike Faraday or Cascade however, Sakura attacks with range in mind. As long as her foe doesn’t get near her or uses Earthquake, she’s able to send a mean Psyshock or Mystical Fire!
Despite being the first Pokemon of the team and she’s now fully evolved, she doesn’t see herself as a leader. As per her usual sentiment, her trainer is the real leader of the team. In a way, her trainer is the coach to the team’s “players”. Sakura was never one to understand sports. Faraday (Pikachu) [Level 37] (She/Her) Serious and still proud of her power?
Still confident in her abilities, Faraday hasn’t changed all that much! To her, the only changes she’s seen are the foes she faces. Out of the team, she focuses on her movepool the most, preferring speed and attacks over...Defense. “Cascade covers that, I’m fine!” She claims as any attack can blow her away easily. While she won’t admit it, Faraday is facing a sort of inferiority with the team. Before, she could take down any opponent with ease...What’s happening now?
Cascade (Blastoise) [Level 37] (He/Him) Impish. He likes to relax.
Similar to Faraday, Cascade doesn’t see a lot of changes in himself. However, everyone else remind him that not only does he hold an Amulet Coin (Which he uses to gain more money after battle; An object many trainers facing Cascade loathe), but the more obvious is that he’s fully evolved! But the Blastoise treats his evolution like it’s an everyday occurrence. His trainer can only assume that because of the evolution, Cascade’s become extremely zen to the point that nothing fazes him. Not that it’s a bad thing, but rather more...Concerning at times.
To say he battles like a tank would be correct. But also might become more true if the Blastoisinite was ever equipped to him.
Shade (Krokorok) [Level 36] (They/Them) Timid and Alert to Sounds.
Before meeting the rest of the team, Shade was just a little Sandile, living a quiet life near the weird Glittering Cave at Route Nine. Then they got surprised by a trainer and a Wartortle.
Due to their sheltered life, they’re not used to interactions. Of any kind. They especially feel intimidated by Cascade because of his Water type. So Shade adapted with a Rocky Helmet and false confidence. Okay, the latter half is a bit false. In truth, the Krokorok has a tactic in battle where they do one thing: “Don’t make the enemy see your fear”. They’ve gotten somewhat better at battles, but they know there’s still room for improvement. Maybe they should give in and ask if Faraday could spar with them?
Boreas (Amaura) [Level 37] (He/They, Transmasc) Quirky! Nods off a lot because they’re sleepy and a dinosaur :)
Thanks to his kind and patient friends, their questions have slowed down a bit. They now understand more about the present, to the point where they can be a bit standoffish to any new face he sees. But Boreas is still easygoing and still ends up learning a few new things here and there. Once, he learned that it’s rude to attempt to knock down an expensive vase (Thank Dialga for Faraday being there to catch it). While they don’t really know when, Boreas knows that he’s not going to be the little fossil Pokemon he is now. He looks forward to the future though, that’s all that matters to them!
That’s it? Where’s the sixth member?
Well, funny story...There isn’t one. Technically.
While in game, I do have the gift Lapras, I’m not planning on making them a full-time team member. Then there’s Indie and Peony.
Where in the world is Peony and Indie?
Short Answer: In game, they’re both in the PC. In my brain/lore, Indie is currently training at the Tower of Mastery with another Lucario. Peony on the other hand is back in Route Four but hasn’t been released.
Long Answer:
Indie (Lucario) [Level 36] (He/They) Hardy and Alert to Sounds!
There was something Indie always liked about traveling: The learning experiences. Heck, if he stayed behind that old track, he wouldn’t be a Lucario already would they? But despite loving that constant movement, they realized that they lacked something. He wasn’t sure what that “thing” was until seeing the Tower of Mastery. The second he stepped in and saw the Mega Lucario statue, they felt at home. After their trainer fought Korrina (twice), Indie made it known that he wanted to learn under the successor and the Mega Evolution Guru. While to others, this was a sudden change, to Sakura this was Indie’s way to wanting to be stronger in his way. They valued the knowledge of battle and the bonds made from it and the Tower was where he could learn more about it. However because of his trainer needing to head to Coumarine City, Indie voluntarily stayed behind, wanting to train with the other Lucario that took a shine to their trainer, Justice! While Justice is much more reserved, they and Indie have a lot more in common than they think! And in Indie’s mind, bonds are made because of how the party clicks, right? Peony (Floette) [Level 25] (She/They) Quiet and Quick to flee!
Because of how easily the Flabebe line shows signs of stress, Peony wasn’t doing the greatest. Their flower drooped and wilted, she became tired in the middle of battle, and she was a lot more reserved than when their trainer met them.
So, after a lot of consideration and learning a harsh lesson on Pokemon Care (Specifically for the Flabebe line), Peony’s trainer gave her a choice: If they wanted to stay around with the team, she would have to be in constant care of the Pokemon Centers or stay in the PC until they were needed for battle, or the better option of being released. With those choices, Peony disliked both of them. Yes, she hated battles, but they also liked traveling with Pokemon they would’ve never encountered outside Route Four. So instead of either or, Peony had the options combined in a way so if she was needed for anything, they would need to be called upon all the way from Route Four (Which the Gardeners that maintain the area would be alerted by). Now, they relax in the flowers. Their flower is still recovering, but it’s regaining its vivid hue.
(So to recap, Indie and Peony are acting similarly to how some of Ash’s Pokemon do in the anime. Like Charizard trains in Charizard Valley until an important battle happens! Peony is a bit more like Butterfree for the time being though, I don’t have plans to use them anytime soon)
