Kyr sighed as he took a drink and finally sat down. He knew that he shouldn't be pushing himself, but he hated being dependent on his mates despite their insistence that it was fine. Destroyah was a prideful summoning, and if it sensed that Kyr was weak, it could turn on him and kill him or the child. It was why Kyr refused to stay bedbound despite Minato's wishes.

It wasn't the first time that he had lost a child to Destroyah. He had lost three children to his clan's summoning and didn't think he would be able to handle losing another.

His arms reached around his stomach protectively as he leaned into Kushina's touch. "Forgive me. I wasn't ignoring you. I.... I was just thinking..." he muttered, letting his hand rub his summoning tattoo. "I can't lose this one..." he choked, hating his out of control hormones.

It had been an easy day for Minato, he got all of his work done as soon as he had gotten into the office. Which meant he had some time to kill before the next load of paperwork came in to haunt him once again. Meanwhile at the house Kushina was doing some cleaning and working on the nursery room, prepping for the baby that was coming soon. Her, Kyr and Minato had already come up with a name for the baby if it was a boy, which they had a feeling it was. They decided it was a good idea for Kyr to carry the baby as Minato didn’t want to risk the Ninetails to come out from the seal, not to mention the extra precautions that they would need to take for it anyway. 

Soon enough Kushina heard someone come into their home, Kyr must be home from getting some groceries. The red-haired woman walked out of the room and left to greet Kyr’ram, she smiled as she walked up to the demon and hugged him, “hey love, how was the shopping trip?” she asked as she pulled away and helped Kyr put the groceries away. Sense Minato wasn’t home to help Kushina would step in and help Kyr out and help do the things that Kyr couldn’t do since he was carrying the child. Not to mention they didn’t want him to stress out too much. 

“How are you feeling?” she asked as they finished putting the groceries away, once they had finished Kushina grabbed Kyr some water and brought it to him. “Minato already left for the day so it’s just you and me again today.” she said to her mate as she went to sit down.
