DCA Pokémon Teams (Part 1)

Hello everyone! Remember that post I made about the DCA girls having Pokemon teams? Well, I decided to remake them, as well as explain the reason why each Pokémon was chosen. This was also particularly inspired by silvermoon424’s Sailor Trainers post. This post will go over the first 5 dorm leaders: Evonie, Ella, Allison, Briar and Cerule.

Evonie Apfel 🍎

For Evonie, it’s mostly the same as the first one, minus the apple and berry motif Pokémon. I honestly don’t think I need to explain why each Pokémon chosen, all of them are forest animals due to Evonie’s connection to animals, so I’ll just explain them personality wise.

Pachirisus are stated to have hyperactive and playful personalities, so for Evonie it would be like babysitting a mini Allison albeit less annoying because it resembles a squirrel.

Deerlings are stated to be very timid Pokémon but I think Evonie would get along well with it due to her preferring the company of animals since they care about her for her personality and not her appearance.

Tailliow are known for their courageous personalities and their refusal to back down, kinda matches Evonie’s competitive personality.

I merely picked Turtwig, Buneary and Zigzagoon for aesthetic purposes.

Ella Glaciel 👠

For Ella’s team, I wanted to reference her sophisticated upbringing and Pokémon that could be a reference to Cinderella. As well as giving an overall princess-like aesthetic.

Diancie was an easy choice, it straight up looks like a princess, especially in its Mega Evolution form.

Maushold are an obvious reference to mice, both in Disney’s Cinderella and Ella’s animal companions.

Swablu was chosen for three reasons:

Cinderella’s bluebird companions in the original 1950 film.

Ella is strongly associated with bluebirds. From her bluebird brooch in her 3rd edition redesign to a bluebird jewelry set her late mother created as a parting gift to her prior to her passing.

Its cloud wings can be an homage to Dancing on a Cloud, a deleted song from the original 1950 Cinderella film.

Sylveon was picked for a matching color palette and it’s pretty obvious that Ella would want this Eeveeloution. Plus it’s very kind and gentle, much like Ella herself.

Ribombee was chosen for aesthetic purposes.

Gardevoir was chosen for its feminine appearance to reference Ella’s lady-like nature.

Allison Liddel 🐰

Allison’s team consists of Pokémon that match her personality.

Gengar was unsurprisingly chosen for its mischief-making nature, which is a perfect match for Allison.

Polteageist references the sentient tea pots in the Futterwacken Dorm.

Mr Mime is meant to reference Allison being in the theater club.

Bunnelby was chosen for aesthetic purposes.

Munchlax was chosen for its love for food, much like Allison.

Meowth was chosen for aesthetic purposes.

Briar Auroria 🌹

For Briar’s team, I wanted to embody beauty and nature together, so most are grass and fairy types.

Roselia was chosen for its appearance, namely its pink and blue roses, as well as it being described as very serene.

Dartrix references the owl who dressed up as Princess Aurora’s “dream prince”.

Jigglypuff was chosen for its affinity for sleeping as well as singing.

Cottonee was chosen for its resemblance to a fluffy pillow.

Floette was chosen for aesthetic purposes.

Due to possessing powerful fairy magic, I decided to give Briar a legendary: Cresselia, not only for its appearance but the fact that it is said that Cresslia has the ability to dispel nightmares.

Cerule Oceana 🐠

All of Cerule’s Pokemon are water types, that’s it. Okay okay, let me explain:

Gyarados and Milotic were both chosen for their respective personalities and appearances as a way to reference Cerule’s parents.

Dewgong references Bobble, Cerule’s pet seal.

Starmie and Primarina were chosen for aesthetic purposes.

Spheal was chosen since I felt Cerule would want this Pokémon.

Suicune but weird

I've had this suicune design for a long time but I wasn't sure what to make of it. So finally decided to break them down since their main inspo is Suicune x Milotic and just edited them to reflect on those two pokemon a little more and... Wow I love it! I couldn't be happier!!! AJD . ART

So this AU is based on the Scarlet/Violet storyline (because I can't resist making a whole AU)

Blossom in the class president and wannabe champion of Oak’s academy.Setting out to finish her final challenge as the next champion, Blossom comes across a strange pokemon (a Roaring Moon which basically act’s the same as Koraidon in this au and isn't apart of her team) that has its powers restricted by a strange magical device trapped to it's neck. Soon after she runs into well known trouble maker and self proclaimed evil genius Jack Spicer who wants the device for his own purposes. After a heated battle where she defeats him, Blossom Realizes that Jack knows more about what's going on than she does. So Blossom decides to blackmail Jack ( he’s been editing his grades so he’s not expelled from school for skipping) if he helps her find the rest of the pieces to whatever is holding Roaring Moon back. He agrees and the two set off to explore the region.

Blossoms is traveling to become a pokemon master and professor. Her partner is a Shiny Decidueye  named Artemis.

Team: Hatterene (Titania), Alola Ninetails (Skaði), Lucario (Apollo ), Milotic ( Galatea,), Lurantis (Persephone)   (I know most people give Blossom a fire starter because of her color scheme, but I've always seen Blossom be closer to fairy types and Ice types. Plus I can see Rowlette/Decidueye fitting Blossom more. With it being a more serious, regal pokemon. Just like how I see Blazekin fitting Buttercup more than Blossom because of it's fighting type. The rest were easy as I can see Blossom having a affinity for Ice and Fairy types, but understand the strengths of having a diverse team.)

Jack was once a grunt for Team Heylin (a group set on world control) after team Skull was disbanded and worked as a double agent of sorts while going to school. Left team Heylin for personal reasons but is now trying to track down a mysterious relic. His partner Pokemon is a Kommo-o named Young (he and Toxtricity were bought by his dad as gifts). 

Team: Toxtricity (Cooksey), Hounddoom (Stein), Obstagoon (Slasher), Scizor (Ryzor), Scolipede (Venom) (Again I know people see Jack having either dark, electric or steal, even a monkey pokemon. But a fighting Dragon type seemed like his ideal (and I blame Croxovergoddess, she was right when she said it was a Jack pokemon) Plus Toxtricity is in the same boat. A punk electric poison type that has spikes? I mean come on. The rest seem like Pokémon that can be easily captured but fit him. I can see the scolipede causing the most trouble) -- I do plan on adding a few more doodle (and a separate piece for Princess and Brute because I have no self control. I even have their teams picked out lol) Any way I hope you like it!
