I’m not a Milo apologist, I find him to be pretty annoying actually, but it’s weird to me that there are people who want the option to get violent with him. I’m a bellamancer so I can only speak for what I’ve read, but even on her route Milo gets choked out, slapped in the face, and verbally berated by everyone at every opportunity. If you think the guy is getting off easy you clearly haven’t been reading the same story.

That being said, an actual apology where he takes accountability for his actions wouldn’t hurt lol

And yes, I feel the same way. In the beginning, the violent tendencies felt a little weird but I was viewing it more like someone just speaking in that way you sometimes do. Like an expression without any sort of intent. And then they got specific. Far more violent. And it has left the entire idea of it really uncomfortable in my mind. And I get it, people should be allowed to do bad things and then the consequences play out. But I think there is a time and a place for that? If that makes sense. And to have it as an entire coded route for the MC when the MC is not a representation of that persona (that one has already been to the Night Market) is just not something to logically write out.

I don't know. It makes sense in my head but I might not be explaining it right.

And the apology portion will happen soon on the non romance route. It has happened on the romance route already but it does need to be said elsewhere.

I finished School Spirits (including the season finale) AND that is how you do a teen drama!

This show is taking the murder mystery elements of Riverdale and Pretty Little Liars to heights the teen genre deserves. I don't think there is one character I dislike, despite the darker angsty premise being designed to grate on you. Every single character gives a compelling performance, even Xavier — who I lowkey want to fight — and leans into the unlikeable teen angst angle.

The weekly release format was a good call, it suits the show’s pacing and episodic cliffhangers so well. Even better, the writers establish a mystery in the pilot and stick to it. So many shows wait to pick a killer halfway through the season, basically establishing any of the clues thrown out in the first episodes lead nowhere. But School Spirits hints at the culprit from the beginning. There are no gimmicks to make it unsolvable for fans and no assumptions that guessing the outcome will somehow cheapen the story.

The final reveal of what happened to Maddie perfectly aligns with all the clues we've gathered along the way. The finale wraps things up spectacularly and proves beyond a doubt this mystery can go the distance with more seasons.

I personally would love to see what else this show has up its sleeve after that killer finale. (Also, I need more of Wally and Charley's adorable ghosty-ness in my life)

Because, whoa! That got long. It didn’t feel that long when I was writing it. I think because it has a lot of very chatty scenes, so it reads faster than you might think.

about: Jordan and his girls rejoin civilization for a short spell. Reality sets in, bills need to be paid, and as much as they tried to pretend otherwise, fairytales aren’t actually real. Maybe it works, and maybe it’s even as wonderful as he hoped, but all that unfinished business he left behind is still unfinished.
