We have had a website ( Appalachianhomestead.org) and a subscription there on the website for quite a while (years). We had slacked a bit on posting the free content there since we posted it here but we are moving the free content back there as well. We do have an email list, you can join via the website. We have sent exactly ONE mass email, so don’t worry we aren’t spammy. Make sure you spell everything correctly on the form, accuracy is important if you wish to hear from us. We do also have a Pinterest, a YouTube channel, and other social platforms (tumblr,Twitter) we post to as well. To find us on Pinterest https://pin.it/4MnmnX1 Or click the button on the website To find us on YouTube- type in the following BE SURE to use the @ symbol @theappalachianhomestead is our handle there Our most recent videos are under the LIVE button To continue to see us here- and even this probably won’t work long term- favorite our account and TURN ON notifications. We will still try here on IG but the wind has shifted in a dangerous direction and we see the curtain dropping quickly. The best way- get over to our website and follow along on the blog for free content that will be posted there once per day or join the subscription Next best probably will become Pinterest but that platform has an algorithm too 🤷🏻‍♀️😉 . . . . . . . cottagecore #gardeningforbeginners #gardenadvice #gardenhaul #garden #gardening #gardenlife #woodedgarden #millennialswhogarden #gardenpride #gardeninspiration #gardenlove #oldfashionedonpurpose #homemaker #homeschoolerh #homegarden #growyourown #growyourownfood #humanswhogrowfood #sourdoughlove #homebaker #baker #bakeyourownbread #freshlybaked #freshlybakedbread #homestead #homesteader #farmher #farmlife #farmhouse #cookingfromscratch (at Los Angeles, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CpcnbaVO3uB/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

When Jenna @beyondthebough sent me this I LOLd. If this is t the absolute facts of what it is like to be us idk what is. We’re here to educate about our family planting, farming, herbal, homesteading, and cooking traditions which go back way further than just 100 years. When we share, we do so for the benefit of others not ourselves. We get nothing in return for what we post here on IG other than some high fives and quite a bit of hate 🤣🫡. Remember- -Google isn’t a gardener. -Google won’t make an herbalist. -Google isn’t even a good teacher because anyone with some great SEO skills can make bad info appear first. There’s a lot of bad info out there friends. Try some tradition@for a change, reach for the tried and true rather than the google. . . . . . . #gardenadvice #gardenhaul #garden #gardening #gardenlife #woodedgarden #millennialswhogarden #gardenpride #gardeninspiration #gardenlove #gardeningisfun #gardeninglife #growfoodnotlawns #growfood https://www.instagram.com/p/Cpa1j_ROX3J/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Hello, January, we meet again old friend. My birth month. Meat canning month. The venison, chicken, and pork has been piling up in the freezers since November and they must be processed. Thus begins another cycle of the year. Perhaps you have heard others refer to “canning season”? Around here canning season is all 12 months of the year. Meats and roots in winter and spring. Cold crops in late spring. Summer veggies all summer and into fall. In between canninngs comes animal care, land care, gardening, family care, on and on. This is life for our family and has been for many generations. We don’t homestead for instagram and pretty pictures we do it because this is our provision and our tradition. If you’re interested in learning we do offer membership to our subscription via our website appalachianhomestead.org as well as our courses and books. This is where we teach in depth as Instagram is not friendly to that sort of education. . . . . . . . . . . #pressurecanning #canningandpreserving #cottagecore #gardeningforbeginners #gardenadvice #gardenhaul #garden #gardening #gardenlife #woodedgarden #millennialswhogarden #gardenpride #gardeninspiration #gardenlove #gardeningisfun #gardeninglife #growfoodnotlawns #growfood #backtoeden #backtoedengardening #harvest #seedstarting #seedswaps #seedsaving #seedheritage #seedlings #heritage #folk #folkcreative #folkcoreaesthetic https://www.instagram.com/p/Cm63K2bOfRW/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
