Questions tag game!
thanks to @baronessvonglitter for the tag! 🖤
Do you make your bed? Yes, I do. But most of the week my husband does it (I get up for work much earlier) and I'm the one correcting him because it breaks my heart to see what he's done.
Favorite number? I see no reason to have it.
What's your job? My job allows me to earn money, that's enough for me. Before that I used to work in customer service for 10 years.
If you could go back to school, would you? To be fair, I'm starting college this year. I've had a really long break, but I'm at a point in my life where I can finally do it, and it's been my dream. I'm going to study psychology.
Can you parallel park? Parallel parking, reverse parking, perpendicular parking. Yep, I'll do it all. I'm a really good driver.
Do you think aliens are real? It depends on which ones. I believe in UFOs, but these kind of scare me a little…
Tumblr media
Can you drive a manual car? Yes, I can. It's the most natural and relaxing form for me.
What's your guilty pleasure? A 12 hour marathon of Lord of the Rings Extended Edition. I mean, that's something I save for really special occasions. But I still watch LOTR a few times a year. It's my greatest pleasure. And I don't feel guilty about it.
Tattoos? Yes, 9. My tattoos are varied - Tatooine landscape with Luke's house and two suns, flying key from Harry Potter, Smaug from Hobbit, small Millenium Falcon, rose on foot, bottle with Felix Felicis (liquid happiness from HP), small lightning bolt (used to be HP, now stands for Women's Strike), swallow and my son's date of birth, wildflowers on my arm and little Star Wars symbol (I plan to make it bigger, someday). Yep, I like tattoos.
Favorite color? bottle green, black, gray. I'm monotonous.
Do you like puzzles? Nope. I'm not a fan of that. I prefer games like - find the item in the picture.
Any phobias? I have struggled with anxiety since I was a child. But when it comes to phobias, for example, I am afraid of not closing the door (I check it several times, sometimes I take a picture of it, and once I turned around on my way to work because I wasn't sure if I had closed it), I set several alarms (I never hit snooze, I never overslept), deep water (I can't swim)
Favorite childhood sport? I don't know if I had a favorite sport. Team sports, that was a nightmare for me. Funnily enough, as an adult I did obstacle course races (OCR) and regular city runs, I went to the gym a lot.
Do you talk to yourself? I used to talk to myself a lot, especially in the car. Now I do it when I need to think or get things off my chest. It's therapeutic for me.

I started a memorial sleeve for my brother off of the triforce that I already had. I’m embedding good memories and things we enjoyed together on my arm. I think that he would like it a lot.
I got my Millenium Puzzle and Link & Pikachu tattoos done by Tiffany at Black Art Society in Salt Lake.

Finished!  And I didn’t need 2 weeks for this like the other one, only a few days!  I’m proud of me. XD
I got so inspired that I wanted to draw this. And I’m happy that I made it. And i wanted a Icon… soo…hehe.. The Backgound and the whole Effects are inspired by XXXtentacion  I just copy the text from my wip, cuz I already write everything down what I wanted. Please don’t judge. My english is also not soo good but I try my best.
Sooo.. I always thought about my own AU where Atem has Tattoos on his Neck and Arms. It is for my fanfction I’m about to write. unfortunately it is in German cuz I’m to bad to write the whole Story in english. I’m scared  okey.. ;__;   I wanted to give him tattoos with meanings and I thought a few of the egyptian symbols fits perfectly. I googeled some of these and I hope it is all right what I’m saying, if not, please correct  me The japanese writing means “Yami Yugi” or only “Yami” and on the other side is the name “Atemu” or “Atem” in hieroglyphics. I took a look in the Manga to find out with symbols they used so I re create it. On the left side I drew te eye of Ra with the sun arround it and on the right side I drew the eye of horus. The eye of Ra,  The Sun god Ra : For  good luck The eye of horus, The Moon god Horus : For  protection In the middle I drew the Symbol of life: Ankh with wings. under is chin I drew the Milleniums Puzzle. I think it fits perfect for him and I like the whole picture of it. The Arm and nape Tattoos will follow soon. Song I listened to while I drew this: Machine Gun Kelly – Candy feat. Trippie Redd https://youtu.be/zMr_Uzi807U Trippie Redd “Wish” With Live Orchestra: https://youtu.be/zOdKS_ayMyM

Ketika Kesukaan Kita Malah Berubah
Tumblr media
Aku suka sekali trilogi Millenium karya Steig Larsson.
Adaptasi filmnya pun aku suka. The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo.
Steig Larsson meninggal sebelum betul-betul menyelesaikan rangkaian serial Millenium yang ternyata dia niatkan bukan sekadar trilogi, tapi saga hingga sepuluh seri.
Dengan judul The Girl in The Spider's Web. Namun aku kecewa.
Masalahnya, baik Lisbeth maupun Mikael bukanlah jagoan aksi.

Pridecember day 15/16-Crown+Night
The night Atem set aside his crown to return home with Seto.
(A bit more lighthearted than what I’ve been doing. Also Atem wearing nothing but Seto’s trench coat so be warned)
Seto woke to the sound of humming. He opened his eyes to see the interior of his space station. He found himself on the verge of crying in frustration when he felt fingers threading through his hair and stroking his head. Then he realized that his head was cushioned in a lap covered in only his trench coat.
Seto bolted upright to find himself staring into Atem’s burgundy colored eyes. Seto started wondering if this was truly real or if he was hallucinating when Atem smiled at him and reached up to cup his face in his hands.
“Morning.”
It was such a normal greeting that Seto had to laugh. On instinct he pulled Atem into his arms. Atem returned the embrace. They sat there like that until Seto found his voice.
“How…? Why are you naked?”
Atem chuckled and pulled away just enough to look at Seto “Apparently giving me a body didn’t require giving me clothes.”
Seto blinked and looked Atem over. His coat was draped over Atem’s legs while the rest of him was uncovered. A metallic gold tattoo resembling the millenium puzzle glimmered in the dim lighting from the middle of Atem’s chest.
“As for the “how”....” Atem continued regaining Seto’s attention “ You nearly died when you crossed into the Afterlife. I couldn’t let you give up everything you’d worked for just to pursue me. So I petitioned the Gods to return us here. I told them that I owed you a great debt in two lifetimes that I could not pay while still in Egypt. That you would not stop pursuing me unless I was by your side.”
The implications of that were slow to process in Seto’s mind as he reached out and brushed his fingers across the image of he Puzzle. “And this?” the blue eyed CEO asked.
Atem smiled fondly “It is a token of sorts. I still hold the power of the Millenium Puzzle except not instead of me residing in it, the puzzle now resides in me. I will allow me to summon the Monsters bound to me from the Shadow Realm should the need arise.”
Atem pushed Seto’s sleeve up to reveal a similar metallic gold tattoo on his right forearm. Only this one was of the millenium rod.
“The same power resides in you now as well.” Atem told him. “You did something that not even the Gods could fathom. You ripped a hole between the realms. We’re going to have to deal with the consequences of that and repair it if we can.”
“This...this means…” Seto couldn’t seem to get his mouth to work properly. Atem’s fonds smile directed itself at Seto, causing his brain to short circuit even more.
“Yes, Seto. It means I’m staying here. With you.” Atem pulled Seto to him and pressed their foreheads together and whispered “I set aside my crown to give myself to you. All that I am is yours to keep if you want it.”
Seto felt joy fill his chest. It was an overwhelming sensation that he hadn’t felt since he’d held Mokuba in his arms after Duelist Kingdom. Atem was staying. Atem was his and would never leave him again.
Seto picked up the former Pharaoh and spun him around in his arms while shouting in joy. Then crushed Atem to his chest with a possessive growl. They both ignored the fact that the coat that had been covering Atem had fallen to the floor in favor of holding each other. Seto couldn't remember ever feeling so at peace.
A beeping noise echoed around them. It was the communications system. Atem shrugged and pushed Seto to the monitor with a blinking blue light. Atem told him “It’s been going off every so often for the past few hours and I don’t know how to work the damn thing.”
Seto had to smile at that as he pressed the single button to answer the call. They both winced as Mokuba’s cry of “Nii-sama!!” echoed around them. Atem moved to pick up the trench coat and wrap it around himself as best he could while Seto assured his brother that he was alright and informed the younger Kaiba of his success.
Atem watched the interaction while Mokuba told Seto it would take a day or two to adjust the elevator so that it could safely carry both him and Atem back down to earth. In the meantime supplies (including a set of clothes for Atem) would be send to tide them over until then.
When the Seto hung up he turned to see Atem standing in front of one of the windows staring at the stars. The sight took Seto’s breath away. It made him moved to stand behind Atem and wrap his arms around the smaller figure and rest his head on Atem’s shoulder.
“Duel me.” Seto demanded in a whisper.
Atem grinned and suppressed a laugh. “You know that’s impossible right now, right? I don’t have a deck or a duel disk and a fight using our Shadow powers is out of the question while we’re still up here.”
The thought of a fight with real monsters thrilled Seto to now end. Especially when he realized that he could call all three of his Blue Eyes White Dragons and that this time they would follow his orders. But logic prevailed and he grudgingly had to admit that it wasn’t feasible while they were still on the station.“I can call Mokuba back and add one of the new Duel Disks up with the supplies. With the Crystal Cloud Network and the technology I’ve put in the new Duel Disks you won’t need a physical deck.”
He watched Atem’s eyes light up in his reflection at the thought of fighting him again. Atem leaned back against Seto.
“Well then. How can I say no to that?” Atem answered then sighed contentedly as Seto wrapped his arms around his waist. “But until then we can enjoy the view of the night sky. I’ve never seen so many stars before…”
“Just wait until you see the planet below us.” Seto whispered into his ear. “I bet it will leave even you speechless.”

Pridecember- Day 30- Red
The Prince of Darkness and the Sovereign's Sheut seen at the latest Congress of Souls.
I am doing a vampire au, so I couldn't resist doing something vampire related for this prompt. It is genfic though. If I do include ships, they would be a part of my first choice, but... they have a lot of shit to work out first. I kinda picture this as beign in that universe but in like Arc 5 or even beyond (for comparison, we are like 1/3 of the way through Arc 1 so way,way in the future), but it could also be a part of a different vampire AU.
A few notes on this piece:
Kaiba would in fact have a water bottle of his own with the KC logo. He, in fact, designed them to keep the blood inside cool, and make feeding easier and more natural (instincts designed around biting on someone’s neck can get in the way when your food is in a plastic pouch). However, I thought having a blood bag would make the vampire aspect clearer.
Kaiba gave Yami the water bottle because if Yami gets distracted midfight by hunger that would defeat the point. The personalization with the millenium puzzle King’s Pendant was of course completely Necessary™, Kisara stop looking at me like that.
Yami raided his tomb for things like the gold bands and helmet/crown, while he had Mahaad help with the fabrics. Yami does not wear the puzzle here, but he does have a tattoo of it with glyphs on his chest. These are replicated on his shirt.
Vampires are usually fairly neat eaters. I mean why let the blood go to waste?
Kisara takes absolutely no responsibility for what her boss wears in public. She has tried to stop him to no avail.
Some of my reasoning has to do with *spoilers* (yes, I know that I’m not sure I’ll ever get to writing Arc 5, but let me dream) (the rest of the notes would also kinda be spoilers, but they are more cute details than actual plot points)

The Girl Who Played with Fire (2009)
Tumblr media
Since The Girl Who Played with Fire is a sequel, the characters do not arrive on-screen with the type of impact they did in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. So what? The mystery served in this sequel is as intriguing as the first's and will leave you wondering not only what happened but also what's next.
Now independently wealthy following the events of the first film, Lisbeth Salander (Noomi Rapace) returns to Sweden after a year of vacation. At Millenium magazine, Dag Svensson (Hans Christian Thulin) is completing an article on sex trafficking in the country. When he and his girlfriend are murdered and the weapon has Lisbeth Salander’s fingerprints on it, Mikael Blomkvist (Michael Nyqvist) is convinced she didn’t do it.
Though the extended cut runs over three hours (broken down into two parts), every passing second is necessary. Without that time, it would be difficult to juggle all of the thriller's many, many pieces. We’re not talking about a serial killer. Instead, someone has taken advantage of a mistake made by Lisbeth and have framed her rather than eliminate the woman themselves. But who is the puppet master behind everything, and why?
As a good sequel should, TGWPWF enriches the characters previously introduced and brings in a slew of new ones. Salander, a woman whose personality intrigued you as much, if not more than everything else in the first film gets explored further and you cherish each moment. Slowly, each new piece in the puzzle is revealed and you begin piecing together what happened. Unlike the “what happened to Harriet?” of the first film, this time it isn’t about taking off the mask of someone who's been there all along, it’s about following the breadcrumbs down into those dark woods. The trap that’s been set seems so inescapable you just can’t figure out what Salander and Mikael could possibly do, except keep moving along and figure out who’s behind it all. That's exactly what you'd been hoping they'd do.
There are A LOT of characters in The Girl who Played with Fire so you absolutely need to be paying attention at all time. Otherwise, it’ll leave you in the dust, utterly bewildered as to who’s who, what's been unearthed by who, and so on. It all comes to a conclusion that may leave you with some mixed emotions - injuries like these should be much more fatal than they are here - but then again, this is a middle chapter. It’s an ending and a setup for more. Noomi Rapace continues to be immensely compelling in the role and the tension is taught in the picture, making it hugely enjoyable for those who have seen the first, or want a bridge between Fincher's 2011 film and The Girl in the Spider's Web. (Extended version with English subtitles on Blu-ray, November 11, 2018)

The Fountain - Bald Man in a Bubble
From what I've read, this was another film based on a 'graphic novel', and me and my son sat down to watch it last night. This director, (a particular favorite of my son's film student roommate) like Christopher Nolan, enjoys putting together intricate cinematic puzzles for the audience to unravel. This one started off quite confusing for the first twenty minutes or so, but the story soon settled down, and thanks to multiple parallels in storytelling, theme and camera set-ups, the audience is soon acclimated to the premise; three separate, but interconnected stories about the search for the 'tree of life' (or if you prefer, 'fountain of youth'). Each features Hugh Jackman as the main character - in the first he plays a spanish conquistador in the employ of the Spanish Queen (Rachel Weisz), searching in the jungle for the fabled tree of Aztec legend (to combat the 'pestilence' of the Inquisition which has ravaged his beloved country from within) -- then in the main story he plays a doggedly determined genetic scientist searching for a cure for shrinking the tumor that is slowly but surely killing his wife (who is writing a book about the aforementioned conquistador) -- and then finally, and most inexplicably, a futuristic story of the same man from the second tale, bald and in a 'spaceship/bubble' along with a dying tree who he whispers to, carves bits of bark off of to eat and make ink to tattoo himself, on a journey to the Aztec nebula of the afterlife.
A nice story about death and acceptance and rebirth, told in an interesting and challenging way. It sort of reminded me of 'What Dreams May Come', and also 'Millenium Actress'.
Nice to see Ellen Burstyn back on the screen again, and my son was wondering who this one character actor was who showed up as an assistant during the 'research lab' scenes (he's been in several Kevin Smith films, and I probably recognize him best from Remember the Titans, American History X, and the Butterfly Effect).
3.5 stars out of 5
Released 2006, First Viewing January 2011
