Considering that the MVs are drawn directly from the prisoner's minds, Mikoto must know a lot about Tarot for it to feature so prominently in MeMe. And he doesn't just know surface-level stuff, either. From this, I deduce that he reads Tarot as a hobby, but also that he probably has a bunch of other esoteric hobbies:

Palmistry/Palm-reading: He learnt it mostly as a way to connect with others, and it doesn't require an outside prop like reading Tarot would. I like to think he'd offer to read his coworkers palms during lunch breaks

Incense/Aromatic Oils: His apartment might not look like much, but you'd get punched in the face with scents when you walk in. We've seen how much of a focus on bathing his subconsious has in MeMe; you know he likes to spoil himself with a scented bath now and again

Acupuncture: The man overworks himself and probably has cramps in his hands and cricks in his neck like you wouldn't believe, so he does anything he can to relieve the muscle tension. Sadly for him, Es denied his request for a set of acuptuncture needles in Milgram, citing it to be too much like a weapon

Crystals: Yes I'm afraid it's true, Mikoto is a healing crystal bro. However I don't think he owns very many - he's too fiscally responsible for that

Dream Interpretation: He dropped this one pretty quickly after he realised he could never remember his dreams. For a while he wondered if he even had dreams

I didn't have any specific Es headcanons before seeing this post, so here's some my brain just threw at me -in an effort to understand the prisoners better they often try foods or hobbies they like. They've eaten spicy noodles to try understand Fuuta and shuffled tarot cards trying to get in Mikoto's head. Painted their nails like Muu and baked like Mahiru. -in terms of food though, they don't have much of a sense of taste - something would have to have a REALLY strong flavour to register. This can turn into a health hazard if some food has been lying around long enough for it to go bad and Shidou has - on more than one occasion - found some half-eaten dangerfood and had to quietly discard it before Es ate more -Es doesn't have access to music outside of the prisoner's songs so they're not sure what sort of music they like. It's a topic that comes up in idle chatter sometimes and leaves them feeling very excluded -they will sometimes do something without thinking about it and then realise it and fixate on it, wondering if it's a clue to their lost memories. Like fold a thousand paper cranes (that everyone else kept finding crammed in random areas for weeks)

DATING HEADCANONS featuring. mikoto kayano, fuuta kajiyama, haruka sakurai, mahiru shiina and muu kusunoki.

mikoto, who would do anything for your smile. who is already a people pleaser but goes extensive lengths just to see you grinning happily. mikoto, who loves to kiss you. who gets embarrassed over his own affection yet still spoils you with it regardless. especially loving to kiss you gently on your forehead or lips. mikoto, who is such a good boyfriend. doting over you constantly, taking care of you, etc. who is such a busy boy with work yet still takes the time to send you a text making sure you’ve eaten or asking if you’d slept well. mikoto, who holds you until you fall asleep. who struggles to sleep (and notably, is a light sleeper) yet finds peace in seeing you safe and comfortable within his arms, which allows him to knock out with ease.

fuuta, who rambles about stupid shit hes seen online. who is constantly in your ear about something he’d read about and how absurd it was, as if it personally affected him. its silly to listen to. fuuta, who gets flustered by your touch yet can’t get enough. who lays his head within your lap, who clings to you in bed for warmth. fuuta, who looooves when you touch his hair. who wouldn’t admit it, but the feeling of your fingers running through his hair makes him feel fuzzy inside. the same goes for when you wash his hair in the shower, it makes him feel crazy weird inside.

haruka, who is sooo jumpy. its so silly to sneak up behind him, sliding your hands around his waist and giving him a little squeeze. he’ll jump, before melting into your embrace. haruka, who is addicted to your affection. who believes he doesn’t deserve it, yet comes back for more and more. because he feels safe with you, comfortable with your touch. haruka, who tries to do little things for you to make you happy. most of the time he fails, sometimes he succeeds. though it makes you happy regardless, knowing he was making attempts to please you.

mahiru, who sends you pictures of everythingggg she does. who sends you photos of her meals, photos of her cute little outfits or purchases she’d made while out. mahiru, who constantly checks up on you. asking whether or not you’d eaten yet, if you slept enough last night, everything. she never runs out of things to talk about!! mahiru, who is all over you. constantly laying kisses against your skin, holding hands with you, laying with you. she loves being close to you, even if its in silence.

muu, who hides behind you as if you were her guardian angel. who mumbles for protection when people look at her weird, or speak to her in a slightly mean tone. muu, who is like a cat. who stands by you, waiting for your attention and to be spoiled with your care. if you don’t catch on, she’ll straight up ask you. ‘n she’s quite blunt with her words. muu, who loves to take you shopping. who enjoys making you be her personal bag carrier, who enjoys showing off expensive things shes purchased that she thinks are cute.

Mikoto really likes it when you rest your head on his lap.

He likes how you wrap your arms around his waist and just contently smile as you lay your head on his thigh. It’s embarrassing on his part though.

Each time you do this, a flutter of happiness blossoms within him.

He thinks you are so adorable!

He hopes you’re comfy though…

Sometimes he would instinctively start playing with your hair. There is just something soothing about it that relaxes the craziness within his head.

He chuckles as you doze off, and will affectionately poke and prod at your soft cheeks. 

Kisses on the forehead are also a common gesture, but he does it even more when you lay on his lap.

John at first hates the fact that you feel comfortable enough to lay your head on his lap. Do you not realize he could kill you so easily? Besides, he isn’t Mikoto, just his alter ego he created due to stress. You should reserve your affections towards Mikoto, not him.

For a while he would shove or kick you off of him, then walk away to commit atrocities.

After a while you still were so insistent on laying on his lap!

When you manage to lay your head on his lap, he would constantly whisper threats into your ear (he does not mean those threats).

It would take him a while to adjust to the comfort and love you provide to him. After all your effort, it would be… disrespectful to deny you. After all, he thinks you’re pretty cute on his lap.

No he did not send you a blow kiss when you slept on his lap. That’s cringy.

"Becomes more competitive" you say? - refering to your headcanons with downbad fuuta 👀

For someone I can imagine if his partner is someone that's a little flirty and knows this, they might initiate a few scenarios just to fluster and see what he tries next only for him to combust (although there might be a few rare occasions where he does get soft)

YES !!

Fuuta is constantly fueled by a mix of personal pride and the need to Be The Best at whatever’s going on, the societal expectation to be manly and good at wooing someone, and also the feeling of “WOW it turns out I’ve never had a real friend or connection in my life and now that I have someone with genuine mutual love between us I’m going to go a little crazy about it and do things way out of my comfort zone without thinking twice until it’s too late.” He’ll leap into a variety of situations – doing favors, participating in couples’ activities, flirting, and making advances of physical touch – solely focused on Winning, only to realize too late that he’s gotten himself into a romantic/intimate situation he wasn’t prepared for 😅

I especially love the thought of someone who knows this well, and plays a little game of “how long can I string this along until his competitiveness gives out into embarrassment?” 

They’d get used to dropping hints while doing different activities about how talented they are doing it, maybe even the best, and no one could do this any better – so that Fuuta inevitably joins in to prove them wrong. If they’re already in an established relationship, I think his partner could overcome any of his party pooping by suggesting they show up the other couples in whatever “cheesy” thing they’re doing. (The partner eventually learns to be a bit more careful with this power, though. As well as things usually end, there have been some mishaps when Fuuta decides “it can’t be that hard to do dancing lifts/dips, right?”) There are a few situations that he catches himself in and explodes that he was tricked into it, but there are others that surprise his crush by how readily he pours his effort into the activity.

Fuuta would be extremely hesitant to initiate physical touch out of fear of overstepping (some of it is healthy respect/consent, and some of it is overthinking paranoia) so it’s up to a more confident crush to push his boundaries. Starting as simple as taps to get attention, and building up even to something like holding hands, they figure out what kinds of things make this touchstarved idiot bluescreen, what turns him bright red, and what he’ll actually melt into and return. The minute they start the whole process, though, it unlocks something in his mind: he realizes that there's no need to fear physical advances, and in fact, he can be the one causing the bluescreening. There's a 50/50 whether his smug attempts at being touchy will backfire and leave him more frazzled in the end 😅

He's never once shied away from a verbal battle, and flirting is no different. He may not have a lot of quick wit, but he can certainly hold his ground in back-and-forth that involves some romantic undertones and teasing. He’d be accustomed to some pretty crass gaming lobbies, so I imagine he doesn’t mind dishing out dirty jokes and innuendos in an attempt to fluster his crush. However, it’s way easier to dish it out than to take it – it doesn’t take long for his crush’s forward comments to absolutely break him down and leave him sputtering. Though he loses all battles like that, there are moments when he's sure they have complete privacy that he ventures some vulnerable compliments that can actually leave the other speechless. That is, until he immediately backtracks in an attempt to save face...

So im making a presentation on personality disorders and sharing the characters i think could have them. and ive realized. theres so many milgram characters who line up with the symptoms.

Like Muu having npd is an obvious one, but also on a much deeper level then ppl might realize. like shes not just arrogant, she has that defensive reaction to criticism and the distress that comes with being diminished.

And Mahiru with bpd. the instability in her relationships, the attachment issues, her whole push and pull break up situation with her bf, all of it!!

Yuno is so schizoid coded too. her whole timeline with kazui where shes like "you lie to protect yourself, but i dont care about others or myself." her coldness theming, and her indifference to a lot of things happening.

Then Haruka with dpd. the inability to take care of himself, shown by his reliance on muu. his uncertainty with a lot of things. i haven't looked into this one as much yet so i dont have many examples but. yeah.

Mikoto knows you have trouble knowing when to speak, and so if it's your turn he will squeeze your hand as softly as possible but still enough you know

If you are working with Mikoto and start to ramble and your co-worker tells you to stop because it's annoying, Mikoto will definitely be pissed, and when you are not looking he would go to the co-workers and ask them to meet him at the train station, only when they do alive they immediately get hit with a baseball until they die

Mikoto knows you tend to overshare, so he's even more careful with his crimes so if you find out you won't overshare it

Mikoto doesn't mind randomly changing topics, if you do so he will just follow it, if you change the topic he will talk about it

Mikoto knows people tend to be socially anxious, and if you are one of those people he will definitely support you, and brutally murder the person who didn't intend to do the same

Mikoto will also do his best to follow your mood swings, if you are angry and suddenly sad he will comfort you to the best of his capability
