Are you getting requests for headcanons? If so, what do you think jinx's social networks would look like in a modern au? I was looking at mush's art (@mush820823 on twt) and I can't stop thinking about it 😭.

i haven'ttt gotten requests but tbh!!! i would love to talk about timebomb and arcane in general more so i'm entirely here for it if you or anyone else has anything in mind

anyway, as for jinx's social networks...

i feel like for twitter, she'd have one private account with about ten followers at most where she'd post just. very benign life updates. complains about ekko leaving his dirty paintwater cups where she eats so she keeps accidentally drinking out of them. either that or she'll post five minute polls that she votes on herself to force her followers to take a side in whatever argument she's having irl. and then shows the results of these polls to whoever she's arguing with to say "they say i'm right" "who's 'they'" "all of my friends" (herself and ekko/vi if they're not the one she's arguing with + if they happen to look on their feed when she posts one of these polls)

instagram i'd imagine she'd use but it wouldn't be something she puts a lot of effort into. i think that a majority of her posts would be spreads of grafitti she's spray-painted + pictures of other people. i think jinx would love taking pictures of other people because it feels like in arcane she's always trying to capture people's likeness in dolls. so if she had a camera on-hand 24/7 she would 100% take advantage of it. her feed would be candid pics of family and friends interspersed w grafitti and she'd exculsively post about twice a month with very large photo dumps each time

i also think in general jinx would be pretty offline, tbh. it feels like she would be too busy with school (i imagine she'd be in like, university for engineering or something in this au lol) or too busy throwing herself into the moment to be concerned with scrolling. like why would she be staring at a screen when theres so much to do and see and build and paint and explore?? jinx would have an average of like 2hr/day at most for her screentime but her brief twitter updates would make up the bulk of that

hope these lil headcanons were entertaining lol i hadn't actually thought about that before but it was fun to make this up haha

he said the full name smoothly, most definitely having done this before. he bared his sharp teeth in an attempt at a smile, though it came out more of a weird grin, and offered his pawed hand.

15. Are there words, phrases, mannerisms or scenes you tend to use a lot?

my favourite thing to do, that i know i do a lot, is compare bruce's shoulders to "tectonic plates shifting" when he's emotionally uncomfortable. as well as his voice being a "rumble", for both positive and negative conversations. i have also written a hug from bruce to his children as the action of "digging a space" into his chest or side across multiple fics. this is especially if the fic is from damian or stephs pov and it is always on purpose !!! earth motif and batman is like. my thing

for scenes, i have an entire series of fics dedicated to damian asking the question "who am i?" and bruce responding in some capacity of "my son" so i think that counts. if its a red hood fic, there is 100% a scene where jason purposefully switches from calling bruce to batman and vice verca.

2. What fanfic do you wish you got more response on?

probably BLACK PIECE, WHITE PIECE AND MEMORIES.

given it was my very first batfam fic EVER, i didn't expect it to get any response and so when people did like it i was very happy !!! when i wrote it i literally didn't even know all of bruces kids. i hadnt even read a proper comic ever in my life. i had just watched The Batman (2022) and Under The Red Hood (2010). all i had was the knowledge batman was bad at handling grief and a DREAM!

shoutout to my bffs milez and mk for dumping hours of batfam knowledge into my discord because that is what birthed like 80% of this fic

that being said, it's probably one of my favourite things i have written, for the sentiment of it being the first of many <3

"Whatever you do, don't mess with the two houses on 3rd St." This was the second time I had been warned against going into these two houses. I wondered if the reason was the same, so I asked. "why?" Chris looked at me with a look one might mistake for genuine concern. "Those houses belong to the sheriff, he lives right next door and watches those places."

'He watches those places' This part of his statement stood out to me. I assumed he had been told this very same thing by someone else, most likely his landlord. Fear is a powerful tool. If fear is involved, it is much easier to convince a person of something. In this case, the sheriff has an ever-watchful eye like on The Lord of the Rings. If a man so much as steps foot onto the grass of one of these empty houses, the eye becomes fixed on you and can see into your very soul.

I don't know if the sheriff owns these two shit holes or not, he did live next door, that much I knew was true, but I wasn't about to argue the facts with this guy. Truth be told, I had already been through both of these places and recovered anything that had value from inside them both. Which in both cases was mainly copper wire and brass fittings.

At one point I was inside yanking copper wire out of the walls as quietly as I could. I heard voices and they sounded close. I tip-toed over to the window and, staying back and at an angle, I slowly peeked out to see who it was. The first thing I saw was the sheriff's SUV. This made my heart drop for a second until I remembered he lived there. The second thing I saw was the sheriff and a deputy standing beside a squad car having a conversation about some pointlessness. Joking and laughing about being drunk some previous weekend. I quickly lost interest and went back to work.

I decided it was best to move to the opposite side of the place so that I was less likely to be heard. They talked for a good while. I cleared the place of its copper and left out the way I came in........ the front door.

When I was given my first warning to avoid the place, I had already hit it. When I was given my second warning to avoid the place, it annoyed me. I don't know why. I did not mention that I had already hit the place to either person. This town is ripe with snitches. You don't know who you can trust so best to trust no one. So, it has been my little secret.

Unfortunately, the sheriff and I would have a run-in after all. I had taken to riding my 4-wheeler from where my boys live to my land. I had to go down a stretch of alley, cross over two roads, then through the humane societies land, (an empty field) and through a small stretch of the sheriff's land. It was down, into a steep gulley, back up the other side, and then home free, lost in the woods.

The first time I rode it I got it stuck on his property. So, from day one, he was aware of my existence. Once I got the hang of my 4-wheeler, I drove through there multiple times a day. I called it Mad Milez pass, I figured it was my right since I made it. There were many times I could have been screwed over that gulley, Getting stuck, loaded down with all kinds of things we shouldn't have.

Anyways, someone put a wire going across the trail. Thankfully I saw it and didn't drive into it. Right after I got where I was going, I made a sign and put it where the wire was. I knew who did it, and knew he would be there to see what I left him. 20 minutes later, the cops were at my house. This was the first time I was told to stay off the sheriff's property and all the property in between with my 4-wheeler. Apparently, the sheriff had issues.

At one point, after I had continued to drive through it, the sheriff had managed to get a message to my inlaws to let me know not to keep doing it. This was getting old. I needed to do something about it but didn't know what.

I don't know what gave me the idea but, I think it was a friend telling me the sheriff probably has trail cams back there to see when I pass through. All I can remember was saying to myself, if they want me, they are going to have to want me bad and so I started riding through it butt naked.

Fast forward a bit. My buddy is out my way in his truck and ends up stuck on my trail by the road. the sheriff's house is right beside it. I went to the land to get a shovel and when I got back, there were about 4 police cars, a few trucks, and several people on foot, gathered around. They thought they had me at this point for sure.

To make a long story short, they were giving me hell about riding through the pass, this time, the sheriff was there, so I said something like, why do you care, the sheriff sees me all the time but he's not saying anything.' They all looked at the sheriff, who said, "I've never seen him go through there." My mind was blown. Were they really this awkward a lot? They can't admit to seeing a naked guy riding a quad. You can't make this up.

I wondered how much I could get away with if I were naked. At any rate, so concludes this edition of the sins of the saints. Thank you for reading, Much love!
