Wrightworth where they are somehow both pining helplessly but unaware that the feeling is mutual and Wrightworth where they both know their feelings are requited but they’re waiting for things to calm down to properly be together are both valid headcanons and in character for them BUT consider: wrightworth where they both know their feelings are requited but neither wants to take the L of confessing so they just kind of flirt incessantly and try to goad the other into confessing first. Just spending so much of their time and mental energy into trying to get the other to make the first official move. An extension of their courtroom rivalry.

I wish the anime had a budget bigger than three hay pennies because there's actually a lot of stuff I seriously enjoy and one of them is what I like to call the "parallels sequence" in the second opening between Phoenix and Maya and Phoenix and Edgeworth.

“Wright…”

The boy’s voice was so small, so glasslike. Shards of moonlight danced on the smoky bangs as Edgeworth dipped his chin, straining his eyes, a boil of burning mist that beaded the wilting slant of his lashes and threatened to spill down his cheeks. He clutched the precious trinket against his chest, against his coat, against the rhythmic pulse of his heartbeat. A treasure. A vow. He… he didn’t deserve such a gift; he-he didn’t need it… right? There was no room in the von Karma household for such things. Yes-yes… no room. No space. No acceptable space for such juvenile, unnecessary things…

The boy shivered on his breath, choking.

I know you’re going away now… But I knew you would come back. I knew you would never leave that thing behind. Not the Miles I know.

“…Hey.”

The kind, familiar voice glided against Miles’s thoughts like velvet, and he lifted his chin to find himself staring into those mirroring silver eyes, a burning haze of tears welling in his classmate’s gaze as Wright held his own blue treasure against his chest. A matching mask; a connection, a bond, a link of steel. An unspoken promise whispered in the dark, the two young faces the only things visible against the extinguished, blackened shape of the Edgeworth household.

Miles choked louder.

“You and me… we’re gonna be friends forever… okay?” Another river of tears crawled down Phoenix’s cheeks, and he stepped forward, smiling, extending his hand in a goodbye suitable for the polite, earnest boy. "Forever…”

A teardrop splashed onto the sidewalk.

“…Take care, Edgeworth—“

“Wright…!”

It was the first and last time the two had ever embraced since.

Nonny, I saw the video and my first thought was this scene from Anaconda: Blood Orchid.

Just imagine redcoats trying to cross a similar body of water and they just start getting taken out one by one.

Hell, we can change it up a bit and have Desmond’s natural habitat being the bayou in New Orleans. Have Aveline be the one to first meet Desmond who is stalking the entirety of the bayou. He recognized her from Ratonhnhaké:ton’s memories so he doesn’t hurt her and even try to assist her whenever he can.

Aveline believes him to be a smart snake who just so happen to have a taste for the people that can be considered as her enemies.

She considered him an ally that she needs to be cautious about.

Desmond just likes to chill and help out whenever he sees Aveline.

The first time Ratonhnhaké:ton joins Aveline in the bayou though…

Desmond just curled around him and tried to snuggle him. Aveline was worried Desmond wanted to eat him for like… a second or so before she realized that, nah, Desmond is just, strangely, affectionate towards Ratonhnhaké:ton.
