(following up on something i started on twt bc i hate character limit)

sure it’s cool when headcanons « make sense » but queer existence doesn’t have to justify itself. you can make any character queer because anyone can be queer because it’s identity, it's you as a person, you don't need a big backstory to justify why you are what you are. the moment you have to prove your identity, it means it can be denied from you.

i am inherently against justifying my existence as a trans person because my identity isn’t debatable. "why do you headcanon [x] as trans?" because he's a person and that's it. OF COURSE, some themes are important - struggle to fit in, expectations, proving yourself - but that's the human experience in general.

and younger queer people should set way harder boundaries. you don’t negotiate your identity. you never ever let anyone invalid an identity, your own or someone else's.
