Trektober Day 21 - Canon Event Fix-It. I have a lot of these (Dr Pulaski stays and has a rivalry with Crusher, Sulu is in all of season 2, Tasha survives the evil puddle, Ziyal lives and dates Jake, Julian goes to Cardassia at the end of DS9, etc etc etc) but this will always be my biggie.

Like, seriously. Miles. You are there. You literally saved a person that medical science could not save (albeit with Geordi and Data teaming up) only a few years ago. Did you not remember? Can you not tell Julian to put your buddy in stasis for a few hours while you reprogram a single computer?

This of course brings up a bit of a major problem with Trek. We've seen so many different issues be solved that when they crop up later we can look at them and go '... don't you know how to deal with this?' - especially when it involves the same characters.

I'm seeing Miles in my mind's eye being at dinner a decade later and suddenly just freezing up and slapping himself in the face.

Anyway. We could have double Dax. It would be EASY. Jadzia would be such a good and terrible influence on Ezri. People would be constantly so confused.

This was a bit of a bugger to do in one day for the challenge so I may draw it more coherently in the future.

I feel like that since Tails was raised by Sonic, he'd downplay his own trauma out of instinct. So much that it concerns everyone but Sonic, who doesn't notice that well since it's the same attitude and wordplay he uses. Ex: "People used to try to cut off my tails all the time, just made me fast enough to keep up with Sonic haha!" Like no baby that's badddd.

i’ve always seen tails as someone who just doesn’t even want to think about his past. he doesn’t want to talk about it, he doesn’t want to acknowledge it. it’s behind him and he has a brand new life now. a better life

i think he’d only downplay it to a) get people to worry about him less and b) to get out of talking about it.

to me, that’s partially why he drowns himself in project after project. he does love tinkering, but it also keeps his mind busy (especially after the war when he’s had six whole months to do nothing but think)

idk tho that’s just me. i think maybe he made nonchalant comments when he was younger (ex: “i learned to swim when i was pushed into a river”) but as he gets older, it starts to weigh on him more and more so he’d just rather think about anything else

So Altair hates being on the ground. He is just more comfortable running across rooftops or crouching on the rafters. He just enjoys being up high and also being away from everyone else.

Well, Desmond ends up inheriting this through the bleeding effect. And it has some funny results.

Almost everyone (except for probably Bill) has at least one picture of Desmond sitting up somewhere high and staring everyone down like a judgemental cat. He doesn't even mean to do it. It's just a mix of Ezio being really judgy and Altair's people watching habits combining to cause him to sit on top of the fridge glaring at everyone.

But also, if his feet are dangling, he will swing them back and forth, and Rebecca has her lock screen set as a zoomed in picture of Desmond sitting on the rafters staring down at the ground while swinging his feet and he looks so tiny in the picture and she has it captioned "the last hope for the assassins everyone."
