Double Bingo! Here's my fifth and final fill for both @rareshipsonbingo (Theme: Videos and recording) and 18OI Bingober (Theme: Perception vs. Reality). Technically, this Milabek fic is a side story for my Ace!Yuri/Otabek/Mila fic, "The Bonds We Choose", but it works well enough on its own, I think. Happy Halloween, and happy birthday, Otabek!

Summary: Though her pregnancy/retirement announcement on Instagram is filled with many comments about her “cute” baby bump, Mila can’t bring herself to feel the same about her new changing body until her boyfriend Otabek shows her how beautiful she really is in his eyes. (FF.net)

I'm torn between Victor being mischievous and Mila just straight up taking the mick. Think they tag team it? Do they use the original pop version, the bardcore version? Some re-mix?

How long until Yuri finds out? Where does he find out? How long does it take him to exact his swear jar worthy revenge? How long until he gets pissed that he didn't think of it himself? How hard dose he blush at that thought?

Jean-Jacques "JJ" Leroy: becomes a sports manager. He Works in an ice rink in Canada.

Heavenly Pearl's Fic Review 2022 - Beautiful

"Beautiful" was the last of my bingo fics.

Summary: Though her pregnancy/retirement announcement on Instagram is filled with many comments about her “cute” baby bump, Mila can’t bring herself to feel the same about her new changing body until her boyfriend Otabek shows her how beautiful she really is in his eyes.

Thoughts: This was definitely my least popular fic this year. Granted, it's only been posted since Halloween, but no comments, just three kudos, and only 48 hits? Yeah, I'd say that counts as a dud! I pretty much expected that, though. Even though it's a part of "It's Complicated" universe, which is somewhat popular, I think most fans are more interested in the Otayuri side of the Yuri/Otabek/Mila throuple than the Milabek side. Ah, well. I liked the fic, even if I'm still a bit torn about whether I should have written out the sex scene or faded to black, as I ended up doing. Since a big part of the "It's Complicated" universe is about Yuri's asexuality, I wasn't sure if readers (particularly those who are asexual and/or sex-repulsed themselves) would be all that interested in a Mila/Otabek sex scene, but maybe it would have gotten more kudos if I did make that part explicit? Eh, who knows.

Luckily that particular question is quickly answered and they can relax slightly, but what about afterwards? Viktor was brought back to right before his first Olympics, and Yuuri isn’t even old enough to compete in Seniors’!

Then there's the fact that they're still very much in love, but a physical relationship would be illegal (and would gross them both out considering Yuuri's age), and they can't count on anyone to just trust them not to do anything age inappropriate. So maybe being long-distance (with as many in-person meetings as possible) would be better until Yuuri becomes a legal adult physically, never mind his actual age.

But it's hard to behave and act naturally when you're forced to be apart from your husband of twenty years, especially during one of the most stressful parts of anyone's life, so Yuuri and Viktor have to distract themselves somehow, right?

Right.

And if everyone around them ends up completely confused and blindsided at their sudden changes (though admittedly they seem to have changed for the better), then so be it!"

This fic explores Yuuri and Viktor's relationship in an amazing, in-depth, way. It's so sad this fic hasn't been updated in so long! But there is still plenty of content to read, and I would recommend you read it!
