Revolutionary Girl Utena - S1 E4 "The Sunlit Garden - Prelude"
Gonna try to be a bit more brief this time! Also while troubleshooting some stuff I had to restart this post, lol
I'm curious on why he needs the rose bride for this, but also if this is just going to be to show off the material power of the Rose Bride(aka the material gain of heternoromativity), or if the music itself has any importance. We'll see!
I decided to look up the person on the right, who is apparently Juri, since their VA sounded familiar. They apparently voice Usagi, which with what I know of this show, checks out. If there is any cross-work analysis available, I'd bet she's the opposite of her. She also voices Peko Pekoyama in Danganronpa(the anime and game), so neat. Oh, also Aoko Aozaki from type-moon.
Also, I really like the cinematography here? Anthy staying in the foreground, the focus, while turned away and not saying any lines. It really makes it easy to overlook her while also pointing at her like crazy. Also Utena being to the right, while Miki being to the left, is kinda interesting. I'm not huge on cinematography, but I thought being put on the right is more, yes eye catching, but also villainous and confrontational. Which fits this really well, since Utena is in the way of Miki's seemingly okay goal in the current framing, although considering it relies on The Rose Bride, I doubt it's as reasonable as it seems. Anyway, good show is good actually, moving on.
He(presumably anyway) cares about Utena's feelings, but not Anthy's. Which is either because he recognizes Utena as a man, and thus an equal, unlike Anthy, or because he has some connection with her. Maybe he has a crush on Utena?
Ya know, I wrote a lot here, I think imma post this and try smaller posts. If anyone actually sees this again, lemme know if ya like it. Also, my subs use Mickey for Miki, wtf?

also on my restart this time bc of where i got last time i noticed:
1. oh no fucking wonder anthy is withdrawn and speaks the way she does, i didnt realize why the first time around
2. the episode where nanami challenges utena for touga is called "nanami's precious thing" calling back to touga's lines to miki about "if you don't hold carefully onto things precious to you, someone else will take them" which is exactly what nanami thought utena was doing 👁👁 (and has several other interesting implications)
3. the way the details from the very beginning and the start of the second arc hint at the tragedy where the students died

Battle of Sinwin Nitay (2021)
Part of the "Emusi Conflict"
Top Left to Bottom Right: Forces of the Emusi defending a supply truck, Emusi gathering strength at a supply depot, an Emusi Sniper in the Sinwin Nitay Forest, KSDF forces redeploying to defend the city of Tomari.
Left to Right: Flag of the State of Konasir and the KSDF, Flag of the Hurenitay Regional Army (Also Known as the Emusi.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Battle of Sinwin Nitay was fought in the Sinwin Nitay Forest within the Hurenitay Province of the State of Konasir between the forces of the regional warlord Isonash (officially called the Hurenitay Regional Army or Emusi) and the Konasir Self Defense Forces (KSDF). The battle is notable for breaking the five-year ceasefire between the Emusi and the KSDF and restarting the Emusi Conflict, which would eventually end in a government victory.
Background
See also: 2015 Emusi Rebellion, Battle of Morikotan, Emusi Conflict.
The initial rebellion succeeded in taking control of the sparsely populated highlands, small villages, and valuable farmland, but failed to capture control of much of the more densely populated lowlands, as well as the provincial capital of Tomari. The subsequent stalemate and ceasefire led to the conflict's calcification for five years. In this time, the formerly decentralized Emusi coalesced into the "Hurenitay Regional Army" under former colonel and self declared "Generalissimo" Isonash. They also took control of and expanded the region's lucrative and illegal cannabis and cocaine trade.
Before the battle, Isonash and the Emusi (Konasese for "Swords") forces controlled about 60% of the Hurenitay Province, a territory consisting almost entirely of the highlands of the Province. The territory came under Emusi control during the 2015 Konasir Recession after the government of Konasir failed to pay the pensions and salaries of KSDF soldiers. This lapse in pay led to poor soldiers in the heavily rural province of Hurenitay going AWOL and seizing control of villages and farms.
In 2021, the Sinwin Nitay Complex Fires broke out. Speculation remains to this day if the fires were started by the Emusi in order to sow panic and discontent, or if they were started naturally by power lines blown down by strong winds.
Battle
After the initial failure of the Konasir Government to contain the wildfires or provide adequate services to refugees pouring into the city of Tomari, the Emusi saw an opportunity for growth[ˢᵖᵉᶜᵘˡᵃᵗᶦᵛᵉ ʷᵒʳᵈᶦⁿᵍˀ]. Before the battle, little research had been done into the equipment furnished by Emusi forces. The KSDF assumed before the battle that the Emusi were only equipped with outdated small arms and had no sort of artillery or other long-range capabilities. They also assumed that Emusi units were mostly staffed with conscripted peasants who would be unwilling to fight fiercely for their commanders and would be unprepared to launch an attack with such thick smoke and poor conditions.
This assumption was proven wrong when, at 11:42 PM on October 11, 2021, Emusi forces surrounded a small airfield that had been reinforced by the KSDF. After a gunfight which lasted five hours, Emusi forces captured the airfield and the supplies inside, including high quality gas-masks and mortars.
Fighting continued into the daylight hours of October 12, where more Emusi forces poured down from the mountains and captured strategic infrastructure in the foothills around Tomari and the Sinwin Nitay forest. This infrastructure included an isolated gas station, St. Paul Miki Catholic Mission Church, two bridges that crossed the Tomari River, and a long abandoned Soviet Sinwin Radar Station.
Despite numerous attempts to cross the captured bridges into Tomari, the KSDF and Tomari Police held them off. After a week of fighting, proper KSDF reinforcements arrived in the city including the KSDF 2nd Armored Regiment and the KSDF 3rd Rocket Artillery Division.
The arrival of heavy artillery into the battle turned the tide decisively in favor of the KSDF who could now outclass and completely decimate Emusi mortar positions. KSDF infantry, backed up by the 2nd Armored would dislodge Emusi fighters from the outskirts of Tomari and push across the Tomari River, however faced trouble in dislodging the fighters from the foothills.
Fortified camps in the Sinwin Nitay forest, as well as a tunnel system built under the Catholic Church leading towards the Sinwin Radar Station, would make the KSDF advance difficult. The tunnel complex had multiple exits ponts along it's path that could transport fighters behind advancing KSDF units for sneak attacks. Additionally, due to the fighting, firefighters could not effectively combat the wildfire and thus it spread out of control. The thick smoke and intense heat led to orange skies seen over Hokkaido, Japan and Vladivostok, Russia. The smoke forced KSDF forces to advance slowly through the foothills, and the heat often led to technical failures.
The battle is widely considered to have finished upon the clearing of Emusi forces from the Sinwin Radar Station and airfield on October 22.
Aftermath
Emusi forces upon being forced back into the Hurenitay Mountains turned to infighting over what caused the failure to seize Tomari. This infighting led to the Hurenitay Regional Army splintering into the HRA-N and HRA-S, as well mass reprisals against peasants who took the advantage of the weakened state of Emusi forces to attempt to retake control of their villages and farms. (See: HRA-N Massacres, Bloody Monday.)
HRA-N Forces would assassinate Isonash on December 3, 2021. This led to further splintering amongst Emusi forces.
In 2022, the KSDF would lead an offensive into Emusi territory. (See: Operation Flower Shop)

You’re such a cute little thing.
Sitting on top of the big, pristine examination table, waiting for him while wearing an easy summer dress, square heels dangling from one side to the other as your hands fumble with your own fingers on your lap, eyes flying to him immediately as he enters the close space - big, bright eyes shining in the dull white hospital room, framed by beautiful eyelashes and soft makeup. Your tempting lips are almost deployed of lipstick from as much your teeth have punished the plush flesh.
“Hello.” Shirabu greets you with an easy smile, one that he doesn’t really use despite the little effort it takes.
“Oh, hi Doctor.” There’s an anxious smile on your lips and Shirabu feels a tingle start on his fingertips, climb his arm, spread down his back to burn in his guts. You’re so pretty when you’re nervous.
“How are we today? You can come and sit by the chair first.” Shirabu moves calmly, closing the door behind him; carefully turning the key without bringing attention. He’s still testing the waters but he can gather that you’re a trusting one, waiting to hear from him what exactly you need to do and then do it.
“Ahhh, um… I’m good, just came for my annual checkup.” You say while taking a seat on the chairs, only risking one look up at his face, then lowering those eyes onto his coat, clearly reading his name. Your expression seems surprised… but pleased. Is it because he’s young or because he’s attractive? Shirabu can’t decide, but there’s a clear smile in his lips as he looks you over, then circles his way to sit behind the table.
“Is this your first time here? If not, when was your last appointment?”
“Actually,” Your eyes meet his when your head angles up and you scurry them down as if you’re embarrassed. Your lips are once again suffering under your teeth before you free them and speak, “It’s my first. Like, ever.”
“Oh,” Shirabu let’s slip with a breath. There’s too much joy in that little sigh and in his tone when he asks, “Really?”
Your head goes up and down first, fingers fumbling, then you seem to remember that you need to speak with him, “Yes.”
“Do you have a medical file here already? Any complaints I should know?” Shirabu covers the usual bases first, calmly checking his agenda and time, how much he can have with you and how he can extend it.
“Hm… No complaints, except…” You fall silent for a moment and Shirabu can feel the burning in your face all the way through the table.
“It’s okay.” He’s quick to tranquilize you, “I’m your Doctor, you can tell me anything.”
“I think my birth-control is… uh, how can I say this? Making me… a little numb?” You tell him in a low voice, a hint of worry slipping through as you try to send him a little embarrassed smile as if you’re worried he may feel bad about it.
Shirabu is quick to smile back, so pleased at how you relax and melt back into yourself at the sight of it. He can’t help but think you’re such a good girl. “You didn’t answer the first question, though.”
“It’s my first time in the clinic as well. A friend of mine recommended it to me.” You give a precious little giggle as if your nervousness scrambles your train of thought and Shirabu thinks it’s endearing, especially the fact that you’re a pretty little thing who doesn’t know best and you’ve ended right on his lap.
Well, he plans to make the most of it.
“Hmm, understood. So, Miss… Is it Miss?” Shirabu sends you a charming smile, one he knows it’s good, and your eyes seem to flash with something at the sight of it, your throat bobbing right before your lips split in a little smile.
“Yes,” you giggle his way with a little roll of your eyes, as if it’s obvious and he makes a surprised face along with another dazzling smile. Shirabu has smiled more in the last ten minutes than n his whole week and he’s face will soon protest.
“Really? You’re so pretty, I wouldn’t be surprised if someone had already planted a ring on your finger.” God knows he would, and as fast as he could, too.
You bite at your lips to avoid a smile planting itself in your face, eyes fleeing from his as your hands fist your dress and you left a little breathy laugh out. As if he’s being ridiculous.
“Okay Miss, so since it’s your first time doing this check-up, I’ll need you to do a few things for me, okay?”
“Sure, Doctor.” God, that shouldn’t mess him up as it does, the hairs on his arm standing on edge at the delicious sound of it in your voice.
“I’ll need you to go to that bathroom right there, strip all your clothes including underwear and change into the paper gown that’s right on top of a cabinet there. Leave the opening to the front and then come back to sit at that examination table right there. Can you do this for me?”
“Of course, Doctor.” Warmth spreads from his body, rolls thick with his blood around his limbs and starts concentrating south. Jesus, you’ll be his demise like this.
“Good. Now go.”
Once you’re out of sight, Shirabu makes arrangements. And when you come back, clad in nothing but a paper-thin gown that leaves little to the imagination, he buttons his coat as long as it goes. Just to be sure.
His eyes thread carefully over your barely concealed body, enthralled by how your breathing comes in quick puffs of air, goosebumps rising on your skin under the cold temperature of the room. Pressing against the warmth of his palm at the slight touch of his fingers on your shoulder.
“You can sit at the examination table. We’ll start with a breast exam before you lie down, okay?” Shirabu knows his voice is sweeter than usual; carefully built in a trusty tone, words rolling off his mouth a little deeper, a little low - all just so he can assure he has your attention.
“I’ll start with a breast exam and then you can lie down.” He explains his steps one by one, so when he opens the front of the barely existing paper gown, all you do is take a sharp breath and slowly let the air out. So nice. Such a good girl for him.
He carefully brings his fingers to glide over the outskirts of your breasts, pressing on your flesh with steady, slow to warm digits. Shirabu feels as you fidget slowly when he circles the flesh once, slow and deliberate with the pressure he applies. “I’m checking for any unusual lumps around the tissue,” Shirabu tells that so close to your face he can feel the warm wave of air your gasp lets out at his words, and he pretends the little taste does nothing for him despite the way his blood boils in his veins.
He does the same circular motion a second time, then a third time in reverse, and all but grin in his self-satisfied way when he notices the shy nub stand to attention. Your brows are furrowed even from such little stimulation, throat bobbing as your mouth sucks cold puffs of breaths inside your lungs.
Shirabu’s digits slide up your collarbone, then press together in a quick motion from all the way up to under your breast, stealing just the slight touch over your erected nipple.
“Please put your hand over my shoulder,” Shirabu says carefully, detached; and is delighted when you push a little dazed “what” out your swollen lips.
He can’t help but smirk; poor little lamb is lost to the wolf around her - and his claws are already in.
“Like this, honey.” His hand takes yours in his, open your palm with his fingers to press it on his shoulder, a wide-angle that gives him better access and provides for a comfortable examination.
“Hm, okay!” You strangle it out, cute and bashful and Shirabu feels his slacks getting tighter.
“Good,” he breathes close to your face and restarts his movements, digits massaging up and down your chest, right side first as his fingertips get together to start to draw patterns from outside until the center in a repeated motion that ends with just a barely-there, butterfly touch over your nipples as he does a careful glide around the circle.
Your shoulders tremble and curve inwards as your abdomen seizes, hints of your pleasure that Shirabu can pinpoint even without his medical expertise. It makes his heart soars; such a little innocent thing that you can’t even speak up about it, just quietly suffering from the need growing inside you until you’ll burst.
His hand stops under your breast to weigh it, palm covering the extension of flesh as his thumb slides in a fond motion to the sides.
“Now I’ll do the left,” Shirabu announces and feels as you tense, eyes looking up at him in a lost haze even as you blink and nod. There’s a small storm brewing inside your eyes clouding them over, as if you’re struggling to catch up to his fingers, trying to fully wrap around his motions and still falling victim of your innocence, agreeable and placid, trained and directed to respect authority.
Dr. Shirabu knows best, you’re probably thinking as you nod once again, hands grabbing at anything they can to hide their trembling. Then he starts his ministrations by rolling your nipple with his thumb, drawing a gasp from you.
“Oh, sorry,” Shirabu says with fake sorrow before he starts the circling massage around your breasts once again.
A humming agreement is all you answer him, lips pressed together as if you’re embarrassed by the noise you’ve left. Oh, poor little thing.
He can’t wait to ruin you.
Shirabu wonders if you can notice how he changes the motions of his fingers this time around, pressing closer to the center and around the halo of your breast as he kneads the delicious mound with his digits.
Your knees are practically pressed together and you’re struggling to hold your shoulders up in a straight line and Shirabu is absolutely delighted at causing your downfall with such little, fickle things as the point of his fingers.
He waits for the moment where your teeth close sharply over your swollen lips, holding both breath and noise inside, and angles both his hands to press under your breasts, upwards motion that is a good excuse for groping - not that you’d know. Your spine curves as your head turn down in waves of burning hot embarrassment at your own behavior and Shirabu simply has to move before he does something bad.
Well, worst.
“All done,” he tells you with a small curve on his lips as he steps back. You wait for him to turn before letting a breath out, but even that sounds sharp in the silence of the room. Shirabu hides his hands from your eyes in his pockets, fingers twitching in the absence of your smooth skin under his digits.
“Now we’ll pass to the examination.” The little tremble in your frame is enough to add twisting fire into his veins, temperature rising even when the air conditioning is running low. Shirabu does his best in making his voice sound unaffected and neutral, walking over to the stirrups and adjacent dressing table where he keeps his medical gloves.
“You can lie down and put your legs over the supports.”
“Yes, Doctor.”
You obey like a good girl, the simple motion already flashing him the precious skin underneath, legs spread wide open and immobilized. Anxious eyes look for his in reassurance, then seem to think better of it as they fall down to watch your open legs. The view making you squirm once again in the padded table.
So precious.
And trusting.
Your hands are clasped over your belly in an attempt to keep them from fidgeting, eyes eagerly fleeting between Shirabu’s frame and the ceiling. He sends a smile your way as he pulls the chair close to the stirrups and your disconcert is practically charming.
When Shirabu walks over to sit between your open legs, his cock strains against his slacks, immoral coil twisted hard at the small peak of heavenly skin, of glistening folds swollen by the blood flow.
If only he could lick it.
There’s a tremble to your form that he can’t pinpoint, but the wide-open arch of your legs immobile over the stirrups clear are involved in; that, and the pulsating arousal in your center, if the way you’re throbbing open for him is any indication.
Shirabu had considered going slow, threading carefully before taking what he wants, but the fortitude of his mind is being challenged by the view alone: You, laying on the table, legs spread and skin glowing. It’s wicked. Shirabu wishes so much to taste, but he’s snapping his gloves on instead.
“Are you sexually active?” He makes small talk, chair sounding loud in the silent room as he finally takes his place on it.
“I’m, uh, not for a while.”
“Any unprotected intercourse?”
“Hm... N-no.” Huh. Shirabu doubts he was able to hide the motion in his lips signaling that the little slip in your tone isn’t lost. “Are you certain? We may need to do a test, just to be sure.”
Your eyes fleet to him, shining in the artificial illumination, flustered expression as you down them for your clasped hands after. It’s rather endearing to watch as your anxious behavior spike, the way you’re unable to twist or move, pinned there by physical barrier more than just his eyes.
“It’s possible.” You answer him, meek, and he tries not to smile. “But I’ve been on the pill.”
“Ok, then. You mentioned numbness. Did you mean during intercourse or just in general?”
“Sometimes general, but normally when I’m… touching… myself.”
Oh well. What a nice little improvement. His eyes bore on yours between the valley of your legs, the air surrounding you both turning thicker.
“Understood. I’m going to be touching you now.”
You nod, and then gasp when his hands actually touch the inside of your open thighs, a light caress to satiate the need to know how soft and plush you feel, and it’s exactly as much as you look. You suck in a breath slowly, and Shirabu lets his fingers slide up to your hot center.
“I’ll start with the pelvic exam. If you feel any pain or discomfort, just say so.” You nod and he starts slowly, two gloved fingers carefully threading over the swollen labia with acute precision, circling motions as he caresses the underside of your most sensitive place and downwards, rounds the dripping wet entrance, and sliding back up, fingers opening in a “v” motion, a small twirl around the engorged nub above it all. “I’m making an exterior exam, any numbness?”
You nod your negative. Eyes barely holding themselves open, teeth sunk on your lips. “Tell me if you either don’t feel anything or feel anything hurting.”
“Okay,” it’s mostly a whine, breath leaving your mouth as soon as you open it. He descends a third finger over your sex, up and down circling motions that rip a groan from your throat.
“Does anything hurt?” Shirabu’s voice is collected, calm, a stark contrast to the throbbing length in his pants. “Numb?”
“I...don’t think so?” You’re trembling, voice breathless as the stirrups squeaking under the strain of your thighs and Shirabu’s other hand comes up, palm planting over your pelvis, feeling the soft skin and then pressing his palm on it.
“Doesn’t seem like you have a problem with sensibility.” He tries to reassure you as his fingers thread to your entrance, indicator slowly tracing the tight circle pulsating in front of his eyes. You’re dripping wet, soaking his gloves and all he can think is what a delicious little patient.
“I’ll be entering you now, okay? There’s no need for the speculum, so I’m performing a touch exam.”
“Oh-kay, doctor,” comes your little gruff voice, putty under his hands and opening up nicely for his fingers when he presses inside. You’re tight, wonderfully so, clinging to his gloved fingers. Shirabu angles them up and deep, your blistering warmth spreading from his digits to his arm and then his whole body.
He’ll have to find a way to “test” you there, as well. He doesn’t retreat his fingers, but he aims the motions of them inside and above, looking for the sensitive place that’s bound to make you-
“Ah!”
There it is. Shirabu chuckles and rounds the place with his digits as your knees buckle inside then angling out, spreading wide. He retreats his fingers, rolling them with a little scissoring, then plunges deeper inside as an excuse of trying to reach your cervix. If only he could use his cock- that’d be way easier.
“And now?” Shirabu asks, wicked. “Any pain? Numbness?”
“N-uhnn-” You try to speak but choke on a soft moan, your hands flying to your face as you swallow and answer him back in a trembling tone, “No.”
“Anything else?” It’s teasing, clearly, but you don’t seem to notice it, dazed eyes searching for him as you wet your mouth before speaking.
“It feels… weird.”
“Really? ” Shirabu spreads his fingers a bit, rolls them to feel around your walls. “Why’s that?”
“I- I don’t know. It’s… good.”
“Hmmm… That’s interesting.” His gloved thumb descends over your labia, rolls over your clitoris with strict precision, fingers angling inside to meticulously hit that special place once again. The table squeaks under the strength of your buckling, open cunt pulsating around his fingers in plain view for his appreciative eyes. “You seem to be a bit oversensitive, not numb.”
“Is that- a problem?” You say between breaths as Shirabu’s thumb rolls over your clit. He’s astonished you don’t question any of his debatable moves, only looking at him with dazed, soft eyes.
“Depends. Do you always leak like this? It can be a condition.” Shirabu presses his palm over your pelvic bone, angle his fingers meticulously and swirl your clitoris with his thumb in firm precision. You moan and immediately recoil in embarrassment, mouth agape in your own surprise. Shirabu scissors his fingers in a rotating motion, inside and out for barely a few seconds and your spine arches off the table, mouth falling in a wide “o” as you tremble on his examination table.
Delicious.
“Sorry, did I hurt you?”
“No,” you answer in a breath.
Shirabu palms his length to release the pressure, cock straining at the soft expression of rapture on your eyes. “Everything seems good inside; But maybe you’re sensitive. I’ll keep that in mind for the next exams.”
“Is it… done?”
“Almost.” Shirabu smiles, but it's a be-ready-for-trouble one. “All we need is the ultrasound for the internal exam.”
“I thought you had just-”
“This one was the touch one, the next one is done with the ultrasound equipment. It will be inserted inside and then I’ll be able to take a good look at your uterus health.”
“Oh, okay.”
You seem focused on catching your breath as your stretched hole keeps winking at him, as if begging for more. Unfortunately, Shirabu has to move on. He pulls the equipment table close, moves the screen to the side and at a fairly inaccessible angle for your eyes. The transducer reminds a wand, long, shaped anatomically thin with a slightly larger head, barely two-fingers girth.
“Have you ever orgasmed before? Sensitive dysfunction can make it harder for women to achieve sexual gratification.”
“I… actually don’t know…”
Shirabu slides a condom on it, drops a generous amount of lube over it and then turns to you with a smile. Your legs twitch and your walls clench and he has a strike of brilliance right there as he eyes the pretty furl of muscle under your pleading pussy.
You yelp as he brings a lubed finger to draw rings over your rear, embarrassed eyes quickly searching for his.
“Doctor?!”
“Oh, sorry. The equipment goes in anally. Didn’t I mention that?”
“No?!” You groan, surprised, a soft breath escaping your lips.
“Sorry. I’m just preparing you, passing something to help it.” Shirabu explains, as a liar, and slowly work you open with his indicator pressing inside - carefully, slowly, with clinical precision until his whole knuckle is inside and your breathing is labored, open pussy throbbing for something he can’t give it to you just yet. How precious. “I’m inserting it now. Please tell me if it hurts.”
Shirabu angles the device on the lubed hole and watches, enthralled, as your ass swallows it’s wider head whole with just the first push, the rest of the body following easily as the tight ring presses the overflowing lube out. Fuck. Shirabu’s cock is weeping uncontrollably inside his slacks and he carefully brings a hand to help with the tightness of his pants, opening it enough to allow his thick length to escape free, but still covered by his lab coat.
Then Shirabu presses the device deeper, the angle sharp. He brings the receptor over your belly, presses way to closer to the apex of your sex. “Does it hurts?”
“No,” you breathe out, dazed.
“Does it feel good?”
“...Yes,” you sigh.
“Hmmm, interesting.” Shirabu retreats it, pretending to angle it somewhere else. He moves the equipment a bit more and your knees tremble as your pussy starts to drip on the floor. Jesus, that’s fucking hot. He leaves the receptor over your skin to fly his hand to his cock, slowly pumping it to relieve the throbbing ache. You’re way too lost in your own pleasure to notice his, and that only makes him more feral.
“You can feel something entering you now, but it’s just another equipment,” Shirabu says as he abandons his aching cock to slide two fingers inside your pleading hole, instead. He’s not even sure you understood his warning. Cute.
“Doctor,” you breathe, almost panicked and Shirabu rolls his thumb over your clit to hear you yelp, your ass tight around the transductor as he scissors his fingers on your wide-open cunt.
“Yes?”
“I feel... “ You sound so wrecked and lost, a shiver wandering down Shirabu’s spine as his throat bobs. Your pussy throbs around his fingers, begging for something it can’t even pinpoint. Poor thing.
“Pain?”
“No? Something… else.” Such a cute breathless voice, chest heaving with rabbit-fast beats that Shirabu almost can feel on his fingers deep inside your soaking walls.
“Pleasure?” He offers, fighting the need to smile at how your confused expression, brows furrowed as you try to think of another word but come ultimately short.
“I…” You start but bite your lips to hold the noise at how he aims at your special spot. Then blink twice, still losing the fight against the thick pleasure fog in your mind. “I guess?”
“Wow.” You’re so honest. Shirabu’s surprise is fairly genuine. He hopes his tone sounds more understanding than completely hungry. “Well… It’s not unusual for patients to feel arousal by exams considering their invasive nature. It’s okay, don’t panic.”
“But,” You start, tense and writhing, but Shirabu stands up, the equipment in your ass changing angle but his eyes are finding yours in the distance.
“It’s okay,” Shirabu repeats and you listen, hazed eyes focused entirely on him. “Take a deep breath.”
You obey so well, mouth opening as you breathe deep, chest filling even when Shirabu slowly edges the equipment out of your tight asshole. The fingers inside your pussy don’t stop, though, and he brings his other hand, now free, to aid him in wrecking you. “Now surrender to it. Let it wash over you…”
“I…” You whine and tense, but then his two hands are gliding over every erogenous zone on your labia with acute expertise, and you let go, bones essentially melting under his ministrations; letting out a soft, obedient, won over, “Okay.”
“Good girl.” He tells you and rotates his fingers in and out, keeping you nice, wet and wide. You’re close. Shirabu can feel it in how you’re swelling around him. “You’re an amazing patient, Miss. Just do as I say and I’m telling you to cum.” That does it, as your head angles back, hands holding yourself and the table as you take a deep breath.
“Yes, doctor,” You whisper and moan, surrendering to the intense orgasm that pulses suddenly through you and quivers around his fingers. It’s beautiful to watch you come undone, legs trembling sharply as they’re held wide open, pussy fluttering in a wave of wetness that joins the puddle on the ground, mouth open as your tongue slides past it, eyes rolling inside your skull and probably seeing white.
Shirabu never feels tired of it, finally angling himself to bend over your frame, mouth looking for yours quickly as he breaks character.
“Keijiro,” you sigh, pleasure-drunk and Shirabu licks over your open lips, bites on your jaw, sucks the skin to leave his marks.
“Yes, love.” He answers against your pulse point and you lets out a satisfied sigh by his ear.
“That was amazing.”
“You think so?” Shirabu rolls his hips against your bare, soaked wet pussy, and his free cock rolls deliciously between the lubricated folds. “I’m just starting, though, Miss. I think you’ll need a more thorough exam, though. With special equipment too.” He brings his hand to angle his cock on your entrance, eyes locked on yours as you blink and smile, blissed out and pleading. Shirabu presses himself inside and you throw your head back in bliss, hands planting on his shoulders with sharp nails aiming for his skin. “Such a good patient I have. Open wide, love.”
You arch your head back to look up at him, mouth falling open on command, for Shirabu to do as he pleases. You, wide open on his table, for him to do as he pleases. He’s your husband after all and you’ve learned from a long time that what pleases Dr. Shirabu Kenjiro the most is picking you apart piece by piece, white bliss searing your every nerve-end as you fall and shatter for him, drowning under his thumb as he holds you down waves of pleasure, dragging you like the tide - strong and unyielding until it hurts to even breathe.
The mere thought of having more makes your lips fall open in a moan, “yes, Doctor.”
Because you love everything about that.

Love Ain’t (But Fate on the Other Hand…)
I heard the song Love Ain’t while reading a Seb fic, and while it is wildly out of his genre it seemed fitting.
Seb x MC
Set with no Villa.
@justtuesdays i think he was the one character we disagreed on, but I hope you enjoy it anyway 💛
You like to joke that the two of you becoming friends was fate, mostly because of how much he hates the sentiment, but you know some small part of him agrees.
It was fate that made you accidentally break your favorite record as you were unpacking in a new city, knowing you wouldn’t continue the task until you had a replacement so you could enjoy something you loved and ignore the anxiety of somewhere so new.
It was fate that led you to skip the first three music shops you passed because the vibe you got from them just wasn’t right.
It was fate that led you to an absolute sourpuss that critiqued your taste in music as soon as you asked if he had it in stock.
But it was him, and the way he cooed and baby talked to his cat when he thought the shop was empty, that kept you coming back.
Before you even knew it, you lived in this new city for over a year. It was your home now, and that grumpy shopkeeper had become your best friend.
Seb was also the one that encouraged you to get into the dating scene.
Love ain't you on a sidewalk in your new dress all alone
Love ain't you callin' me 'cause he ain't pickin' up his phone
The first date you were supposed to go on was with a guy who’s flirtation technique had apparently been to argue about how to make a proper sandwich, and Seb had groaned and complained about helping you get ready, but he still chose what he knew was your favorite dress from your closet.
He was also the one you called when Bill never showed up.
He hadn’t lived far from where you were supposed to be meeting, so he jogged to meet you in the rain with his umbrella, knowing it would be faster than dealing with traffic at that hour. When he made it to you as you hid under an awning, he was surprised to see you laughing as hard as you were, phone still pressed to your ear. As soon as you noticed him, you waved your hand excitedly, “Seb, babes, you aren’t gonna believe this!” You pulled the phone away, replaying the voicemail on speakerphone. It was your date, apologizing for being late, promising he was five minutes away. Odd, Seb thought, that time stamp is at least twenty minutes ago. But then the voicemail continued and Bill called you Miki before quickly realizing his mistake, and after hearing him tap buttons on his keypad, he started the message over with a fake sick voice saying he needed to reschedule because he was under the weather. You cackled again, “He thought he restarted the message! Holy hell, that’s hilarious.”
Seb almost looked at you like you were crazy, but he just huffed his own laugh as you took hold of his arm. As long as you weren’t upset, he was fine with it. He chose not to comment on the way your eye make up was slightly smudged. “Movie at my place, N/N?”
“Yes! Take out is my treat tonight since I’m not wasting money on that date.” You grinned, big and bright, and for a second he wondered how the two of you were such opposites but worked so well.
The way you're talkin' sounds like he's somebody you should hate
The second date, you had agreed with Seb to have the guy meet you at the shop. He wasn’t going to witness you be stood up halfway across town again.
When Harry walked in, Seb wondered how much younger he was than the two of you, but shrugged it off. He dated younger girls from time to time, so he couldn’t hold that against him.
“N/N, remember-“
“Yes, yes, I know. Call you if anything happens, and I’ll be here first thing in the morning to help you feed Doom’s kitties.” You grinned at him again, and he sighed with his own smile.
“Yup. Have fun.”
He turned back toward the records he was pricing as Harry held out his hand to you, “Ready to go, N/N?”
“Don’t call me that.” You snapped playfully. Your voice was still too full of happiness for it to have been taken angrily.
But Seb was annoyed when he heard the frustration enter the guy’s voice, “He literally just called you that.”
“Yes, and he’s my best friend. He’s earned it. You called me that because he did.” Seb could almost hear your shrug, “It’s more like you’re trying to compete with him than anything else.”
Seb turned back around to see Harry glare at him for a second before he just grumbled about going. As soon as you were out the door, Seb saw you glance through the glass back at him and your face told him you felt the same way he did. This date wasn’t going to go well.
And for some reason he was hoping he was right.
I may not know what love is girl, but I know what love ain't
The third date was with a guy named Camilo, and you showed up at Seb’s flat halfway through it, laughing about how the guy kept talking about his ex Iona. You let yourself in before he could even step aside, not that he would’ve turned you away, but he was a little offended when Doom jumped out of his arms to curl into your lap once you were sitting on his couch.
“Aw, I’m the favorite parent slash human!” You cheered softly as you started petting her fur.
Seb didn’t have it in him to argue, because you were his favorite human, too. So he settled for a simple “You wish.”
There was a date with a guy named Tai after that, followed by a girl named AJ, and they both shared the same fault: too energetic. You liked your lazy days with Seb, you didn’t want a partner who’s idea of a good time was exercise.
Nicky was the only one who managed a second date, but you’d given that up when he compared you to his sister for the thousandth time.
Then there was Ciaran, who you said was beyond sweet, but when the two of you went out some guy had grabbed your ass, and Ciaran wasn’t confrontational enough to defend you. That one gave Seb flashbacks of when you two were at a bar and he got into a fist fight with a guy for the same thing. You had taken to playing nurse for him, never once reprimanding him for doing something so stupid. But he was prepared to argue the whole time that defending you would be the least stupid thing he ever did anyway.
A guy named Rafi came not too long after Ciaran, but he kept ignoring you in favor of fans that recognized him for minor parts he played in various things to the point where you’d been back in Seb’s shop sorting records for over an hour before he even noticed you were gone long enough to call and check where you were.
But even though every person was so wrong for you, Seb couldn’t figure out why he was hoping the date would fail before it even began. Your enthusiasm was the same leading up to each one, but it was like you were more excited for the nights the two of you stayed in at one of your flats for a movie night. And he couldn’t explain why that made him feel good.
You were his best friend. He hated your taste in music, but made sure he had the new releases stocked at the shop so you didn’t have to go somewhere else to get them, even though there were shops closer to your home. He griped about the way you fussed with his hair, but never stopped you from playing with it when the two of you were relaxing together. He wanted nothing more than for you to be happy, but his insides grew heavy whenever you had a date, and then they were light as helium whenever the date went bad and you ended up at his place.
He just couldn’t figure out why.
Turns out, the Why would be revealed to him in the form of his parents.
“Sebastian, why don’t you see that nice girl Vicky I set you up with anymore?”
Seb rolled his eyes, “Her name was Viv, mum. And she had to move for her job, and I have the shop. We felt like we weren’t going anywhere together, so we split up. That was almost two years ago. She’s gettin’ engaged soon.” Besides, he added in the back of his head, you handpicked her and she still wasn’t good enough for you.
She waved noncommittally, “No matter. Your father has made a new trade partner, and I have a very good feeling about his daughter for you.”
“Mum, I’d really rather not-“ but she was already talking over him. He used to feel bad about how he was always reminded that only the ones she chose were passable. But even Genevieve barely made the cut. He would defend her against his parents’ odd form of showing they care, but mostly just gave arguments to their statements. She’s too busy: She works in a hospital saving lives. She’s too serious: You thought the last girl was too free spirited. He never fell hard enough to take the stand that said if this is how you’re going to be, then leave. And she wanted his parents to like her too much to stand up for either of them. So he and Genevieve had ended things as friends. And even he had to admit his parents hadn’t had much to do with the relationship before that failing, Yasmín had always been too aloof and it felt hot and cold. And there was the girl that kept calling him Mark, he cringed at the memory. He may not have been good at picking girls, but no one was good enough for his parents either. Especially not him.
What he entirely forgot about as soon as his parents arrived was that you were coming by to pick up your latest request that he had texted about being delivered that morning, thus erupting in a serious moment of panick when he heard the bell above the door followed by the voice he was sure he could pick out of a crowd, “Seb! Babes! Is it really here??” You skipped around the aisle of sale items blocking the door from the counter, all big smiles with ripped jeans and converse and one of his band t shirts that you’d stolen, only to skid to a halt when you saw he was engaged in conversation, “I am so sorry. I’ll leave you to your customers, I’ll just be over here if you need me.”
You started stepping over to your favored section when the woman waved her hand at you, “Are you the reason my Sebastian doesn’t want to meet the perfectly good match I’ve found him?”
He cringed internally, trying to beg you with just the look on his face to turn and leave before they berated you like they berated every other friend, girl or not, that he’d ever had. But you read his desperation another way as you gave her a polite smile, “I must be. I apologize, ma’am. I didn’t realize you’d be here today or I would have brought the traditional ‘meeting the parents’ gift.” You stepped forward to shake their hands, and Seb tried to ignore the feeling igniting in his chest at you playing along with it. Acting like his girlfriend.
Did my heart seriously just skip a beat? He thought, horrified. I am not that cheesy. Putting on a smile, he gestured to you, “Mum, dad, this is Y/N.”
He watched as his mother eyed the dyed streaks in your hair, something he had convinced you to do one night when you admitted how long you’d wanted to. You moved here to head a new department in a new company, and it had a lax dress code which meant that you could finally do it. You gushed to him the entire first week about all the compliments you’d received. His mother raised a solitary eyebrow, but his father was the one who finally spoke, “Don’t you look…unique.”
Without missing a beat, you ran your fingers over the strands and gave him a grin, “Thank you! Everyone in my department loves them. They’d been too afraid to come to work out of professional attire, but I gave them all a confidence boost to do it!”
“I’m sure your boss was thrilled.” His mother replied curtly, and Seb could feel a scowl settling over his face.
You nodded your head though, “Yeah, actually, he recruited me because of my out of the box thinking. He’d been trying to get the employees to relax for ages, but since he’s the big man in charge they still had their fears. I’m might be their superior, but I’m closer to them in rank so they felt better about actually committing to it.”
Simultaneously, his parents squawked, “Recruited?” “Superior?”
Seb was amazed you could still give them such a beaming smile, “Yes! Did I not mention what I do for work? How rude of me!” Fishing into your bag, Seb could see your lab coat poking out as you dug for your badge. It always made him laugh- you hated the wrinkles your bag put into it, but as soon as you left the building you always stuffed it in. When you finally snagged the plastic card, you held it out with a proud smile, “I’m the head of the development department with GalacTech.”
Seb watched with satisfaction as his parents stared open mouthed at it. He’d done the same when he realized how important your job was, and then a little self consciously that you still wasted your time with him. You’d damn near beaten him senseless for degrading himself. ‘Senseless?’ You had shouted, ‘I’m beating some sense into you! No one talks about you like that!’
His father seemed to snap to his senses first, “That is quite impressive, miss. Especially at such a young age.”
You just tapped the side of your head, “Been working on ideas up here since I was four. Working the dream, living my best life.”
“Yes,” his mother’s voice put his teeth on edge, “If only Sebastian had done something so grand with his life.”
He almost closed his eyes out of reflex, to take a calming breath, but then he saw the way your smile froze- turning polite on the surface with anger simmering underneath, until you glanced her up and down and it just melted away entirely. “It makes sense now.” His brow furrowed, but you continued without prompting, “I always wondered how Seb could be so down on himself all the time. He’s an amazing guy, with a successful business- yeah, he’s a bit grumpy- but I always wondered how he didn’t see the greatness in him that I did. And it’s because of you.”
“Excuse me?” His mother looked offended, his father taken aback and annoyed, but Seb just looked shocked as he tried to ignore the fuzzy feelings returning to his chest.
You shrugged in response, “You’re not excused. Not for your behavior or the things you’ve let your son believe about himself. I’ve known he had a heart worth fighting for since he picked me up from an abandoned date, on foot, in the pouring rain. I let myself go on far too many bad dates because I was afraid he wouldn’t believe me when I told him I’d fallen for him. And that’s because of you. So you’re not excused. Because you should never have taken him for granted the way you have.” You willed your cheeks to stop burning as you stared defiantly ahead. Backing down would mean admitting you were wrong, but you knew every word you said was true.
“Well, I never-“
“Actually, mum-“ he was actually doing it for once. He always said that’s how he knew it would be real, and it was finally happening. “I think it’d be best if you left. If ya can’t accept that I love Y/N, and her brilliant, chaotic mind, then there’s nothing much left for us to discuss. I’ll welcome you back when you can welcome her and accept the future I’ve chosen for myself.” As his mother stomped out, his father finally looked apologetic, even as he followed after her. And Seb snorted when you suddenly couldn’t look him in the eye. “Come on now, where’s the brave face from a minute ago?”
“Excuse you, all my faces are brave.” You bantered back without hesitation, smiling sheepishly as you slowly met his gaze, “Did I do too much?”
He shook his head, reaching out for your hand and pulling you into a hug. “Naw, N/N, I think you said everything I needed to hear.” He pressed a kiss to the top of your head, and the two of you let your confessions hang in the air for a moment before his soft snickering broke the silence, “So…since the date with that bloke Bill, huh?”
“Shut up!” You laughed, digging your fingers into his sides as he jumped.
“Hey, hey, now! No violence.” He squeezed you tighter, “Makes sense now why I never really wanted you to go. They could never love you the way you deserve.”
“Oh yeah?” You teased, leaning back in his embrace to meet his eye, but never away, “Got someone in mind who could?”
A meow not too far away snagged both of your attention for a moment as Doom hopped off the counter to rub against your legs, “As a matter of fact, I do.” Seb finally answered, “And it just so happens to be the someone you coparent a fur baby with.”
Come over, let me show you what he can't
'Cause he can only show you what love ain't

kong's species probably follows the same rule as normal gorillas,so,kong used to be way bigger than godzilla when younger, only for that NOT to be the case when he is an adult(comparing gojira and kong to crocs and silverback gorillas). I find that funny. This is all inspired by me thinking about baby gojira, thanks to you, your art is awesome 💖
Aww poor small babu Goji UnU It is pretty wild how small baby crocs are when they first emerge, I love their baby chirps 🥺
Incoming head canon rant: My personal idea for my ‘Junior’ is a character dubbed “Baby Sis” that my wonderful friend @mudcrabmassacre came up with, that they’ve so kindly let me use and form into my own universe!!!❤️ The reason she’s so small is because she was stunted from being in hibernation for such a long time. Basically, Goji’s parents had paired for life, but were only able to produce him as their sole offspring together. One parent was killed by MUTOs, the other continuing to raise Goji into adolescence until he became independent. Due to the nature of Gojirians being hermaphroditic (plus reptiles being able to reproduce via parthenogenesis) the surviving parent produced a few more eggs before dying. Only one egg survived until it was sealed deep in the earth, under a river near what would become the modern day Chernobyl exclusion zone. The spike in radiation caused the incubation process to restart, but her development had been stalled at a key stage in the process, thus resulting in her emerging healthy, but very stunted. She’s probably 3X smaller in size than the size Goji would’ve hatched at, since he had optimal radiation to feed off of. Even when fully grown, she’ll probably be 2/3 of Goji’s size. Monarch would’ve stepped in to collect her after she was first found, relocating her to Monster Island with Miki’s help to keep her calm. Now he plays big bro and brings her lots of food so she can grow big and stronk 🥰 So yea!! They’re sort-of siblings? sort-of half siblings? Not quite sure what to call them but they’re cute and I love them uwu
Thank you so much!! I’m glad my work is inspiring these Neat Lore ideas heh

Vocaloid Firsts!
some facts in my queue are about how a VOCALOID was the first to be or do something. i worry that might get repetitive, so i decided to make a bonus post listing all those little achievements.
unfortunately, some vocaloids don't have much to work with so their firsts are very specific and not very impressive, but i included them anyway. those vocaloids are special in other ways and hopefully i can post about them another time!
as i mentioned, some of this stuff is already put in the queue as their own fact posts. i've decided to keep them there, mostly because i can't guarantee everyone reads and likes these bonus posts. i'm sorry if it seems repetitive or redundant to you.

Madokannon: Religious Symbolism in Madoka Magica
If there’s one word I’d use to describe the show, Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, it would be deceptive. If you’re wondering how a cute Sailor Moon rip-off with even brighter colors and a moe art-style is deceptive, congrats, you fell for the deception. As the series continues, it becomes clear that the show is not a cut-and-dry monster of the week where good always triumphs. Rather it is a pastel-colored Faustian bargain where even the best intentions can lead to dire consequences. In the end it is only through the titular characters unshakeable hope and faith and no small amount of divine intervention that the series reaches it’s bitter sweet conclusion. This is obvious upon a first viewing. What is less obvious is the nature that this divine intervention takes. While the show occasionally makes direct connections to Christianity, It seems to me that the theology implemented is Buddhist through and through complete with Four noble truths, samsara, vile rebirth, and an allegory of the bodhisattva Kannon.
Let’s start with the basis of the show, the wishes. This is one of Madoka’s most prominent aspects and the largest concern from the beginning of the series before the villain’s true underpinnings are revealed. For those of you not familiar, 1). Why are you reading this? And 2). The set-up of the Madoka, like most magical girl anime, involves a cute animal mascot offering the girls magical powers in order to fight monsters. What makes this set up unique however is that the oh so cute cat-bunny-thing known as Kyubey also offers the girls one wish as an incentive so that they would accept it’s “contract”. Now the use of the word “contract” is an obvious red flag meant to alert us to the Faustian nature of the deal. And yes, the agreement comes with several hidden clauses that Kyubey conveniently leaves out such as the fact that becoming a magical girl involves having your soul removed from your body and placed into a gem because it’s “easier to protect”. But Kyubey’s not exactly stealing it like a Christian devil would. More importantly than the hidden clauses though, is the wishes themselves.
Now stories of the devil tempting people with promises of wealth or power are quite common in Western literature, as are tales of djinn or monkey paws providing wishes that always go wrong in Near Eastern lit. But what’s extraordinary about Madoka is that for the most part the wishes the girls grant are simple in nature and rather generous. Our main focus point, and the only wish we see pursued from beginning to end in chronological order is that of Sayaka Miki. Sayaka is established to be crushing on a boy who was a former violin prodigy before a car accident left him paralyzed with no hope of playing ever again. Sayaka wishes for him to be healed, and just like that, it’s done.
The boy does not relapse, nor does he lead into another accident. He simply starts a miraculous yet slow path to recovery, until the series finale where he is shown without crutches and playing beautifully for a wide audience. The problem? Well as pointed out before Sayaka even makes the wish, she’s wasn’t actually doing it for him: she was on an unconscious level hoping that he’d be forever grateful to her. Does she hold this over him? No. Does he reject her? No. She simply doesn’t ask. Sayaka is too busy with her new responsibilities and ashamed of what she has become to ask.
And frankly the importance of Kyosuke in Sayaka’s fall is largely overstated by the fanbase. Yes, he’s a large factor but even more so than wanting to heal him or his gratitude, Sayaka wants to be a hero. This is heightened when their magical mentor dies within the first three episodes. Sayaka now feels like it’s her responsibility to protect her city as no one else will. Unfortunately, she’s simply not as strong as her former mentor or the new morally unsound magical girls that seeks to dispose of her (both Kyoko and Homura). This is really what leads to Sayaka’s downward spiral as she comments, “The world doesn’t need a magical girl who can’t even kill a witch”. Sayaka wants to be a hero, and she wants to get the guy and she gets neither. Her desires, both fulfilled and unfulfilled, all lead to her suffering. This is the First Noble Truth of Buddhism.
I realize this isn’t the most convincing argument on its own but let’s zoom out a bit here. What is desire if not earthly attachments? Attachment and inability to let go of attachment is a concept found in nearly all the wishes in the show. It doesn’t matter if it’s Sayaka’s wishing for her friend’s health, Mami literally trying to cling to life, or Kyoko (in the most directly religious moment in the show) wishing that people would come to her father’s sermons so that her family could have enough to eat. All of these desires are moral in some way and yet they are still desires. More importantly, they all involve a longing for what once was, and are attempts to return things to how they were rather than moving on. This inability to let go is characterized not just in the wishes but in the reason they’re implemented in the first place.
When Kyubey finally explains why they knowingly cause suffering to countless adolescent girls throughout time, they explain it’s to harvest enough renewable energy from the emotions of magical girls to stave off the entropy of the universe. The whole process is rather convoluted and -let’s face it- an excuse to deconstruct magical girl tropes, but that doesn’t change the fact that preventing the heat death of the universe is still Kyubey’s number one goal. That combined with their inability to truly understand the suffering they’re causing has caused some of the community to question their villain status or at least say they’re a villain with a just cause. And while postponing the heat death of the universe may be noble in the long run, it is a literal fight against the impermanence of the universe. A fight that we know from Buddhism is doomed to only lead to personal trauma in the face of inevitability of a changing world. But it is this fight against impermanence that kyubey embodies so well, and one that is baked into the wish-based magical girl system they run.
Ok, enough beating around the bush. It’s time to talk about Homura. After spending most of the show as a mysterious red-herring villain that knows far too much, Homura finally gets an episode dedicated to her near the end of the show where it’s revealed she’s a time traveller who restarted the timeline over and over again in order to make her wish come true; to be able to save Madoka. Specifically Homura has to replay the same month over and over again until she can succeed in saving Madoka’s life and cannot escape until this goal is reached. This obsession leads to a very literal samsara, by repeating the timeline again and again Homura is actively choosing to trap herself in endless cycles of suffering, death, and rebirth all because of her attachment to the mortal world. Through this process we can see Homura fall apart becoming more and more monstrous in her single-minded focus to save Madoka at the expense of everything else. By the time she arrives at our main timeline that the rest of the show takes place in, Homura is comparable to a hungry ghost. She’s directly accused of walking through the world as if dead, unable to feel anything except for the desire that damned her in the first place, her obsession with Madoka. When even this too seems lost, she nearly becomes a witch.
In Mahayana Buddhism, rebirth on earth is not the worst thing that can happen after one’s death. If one leads a sufficiently desperate life they can be reborn as an animal, hungry ghost, or in hell. This is where Madoka’s witches come from. Perhaps the most tragic twist in Madoka Magica is that if a magical girl falls into despair (usually due to her wish’s inability to make her happy), her soul gem will transform into a grief seed which then becomes one of the monsters they fight. These nightmare collage monsters have new names separate from their old identities and live in pocket dimensions where they lure people in. These pocket dimensions often in someway manifests the desires of their old lives being filled with sweets, TVs, or (in Sayaka’s case) violinists. Interestingly, when Sayaka first dies and is reborn as the witch Octavia in a train station, her labyrinth is also full of railroad tracks. She relocates to a concert hall and the labyrinth follows suit, but train wheels remain despite having no apparent bearing on her previous life. This could be a reference to Buddhist beliefs about your final thoughts and which direction you look when you die having bearing on which realm you’ll be reborn into.
Homura’s obsession in contrasted by Madoka’s ability to let go. Madoka’s final wish and subsequent ascension has often been compared to Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross, and rightfully so. Madoka’s wish to become a cosmic force that can take on all the despair of magical girls before they become witches at the cost of her own mortal life has many strong parallels to Jesus suffering on the cross to redeem humanity. However that idea only works if Jesus is suffering. Madoka is stated to be taking the grief of every magical girl who ever became a witch onto herself and we even see a far future version of her becoming a witch large enough to destroy the world. But before it does it is shot down by another version of a truly ascended Madoka in a white dress. This version states paradoxically that since her wish applies to all magical girls that would become witches, that includes herself. The fluidity of time and direct denial of the necessity of suffering or sacrifice are at odds with Orthodox Chriastianity, or at least its perception of Jesus. Rather I argue that the way Madoka saves all the magical girls, her subsequent erasure from existence, and even such mundane symbols such as the white dress all link her closer to the Bodhisattva, Kannon.
Let’s take a closer look at the scene where we see Madoka actually ascends and manifests to relieve the potential witches of their grief. We see Madoka split herself into thousands shafts of light, all of which appear above different suffering magical girls in different places and time periods. And above all of them Madoka appears, she touches their corrupted soul gems which are then purified before shattering, allowing the magical girls to die in peace. A rather sad ending, but one that’s better than rebirth as a witch, which we already identified as equivalent to the hell realm. So while it is unclear where the magical girls are going to go after they die (or even if they go anywhere at all as we just saw the gems holding their souls shatter, possibly destroying them), we can know that Madoka is saving them from a worse rebirth. This directly parallels miracle tales that surround the Bodhisattva Kannon, especially in her Chinese incarnation as the white-robed Guanyin.
Kannon is the primary example of Bodhisattva or one who has put off Budhahood to aid those still on earth. Kannon in particular swears to never ascend until all living things have been freed of samsara. She’s often depicted as having 11 heads and a thousand arms to better reach all those suffering in the world at once, like how Madoka splits herself into a myriad of forms. Many of these tales have devotees of Guanyin spared from tragic fates such as beheadings or shipwrecks. However a few, adapt these stories to instead refer to a more metaphorical salvation, especially in the pure land tradition popular in Japan which then says that anyone who calls out to Kannon on the verge of their death will be still die and be reborn to the pure land rather than wherever else they were supposed to reincarnate. Madoka’s god form even highly resembles the Chinese incarnation, Guanyin. Wikipedia states, “Guanyin is generally portrayed as a young woman wearing a flowing white robe, and usually also necklaces symbolic of Indian or Chinese royalty. In her left hand is a jar containing pure water, and the right holds a willow branch.” While we never see Madoka with any water; the flowing white dress, red gems along her collar bone, and branch-like bow (though on that seems to be more of a sakura branch) all bring to mind Guanyin.
Finally Madoka’s ascension ends with her body dissolving into glimmers of light as she explains how no one will remember her, but she’ll still be there. This dissolution of the her spiritual body is a visual symbol of ego-death. Madoka recreates a word where she does not exist, and had never existed, yet still manifests as a concept and virtuous force that leads others to salvation rather than as a sentient entity. This is the Nirvana. Madoka hadn’t just ascended to godhood, she had surpassed it and achieved nothingness, as her buddha nature radiates throughout the world, ultimately changing it into something better. This is the paradox of Buddhism and the goal of any buddhist practitioner, to achieve an inner peace so strong you become a part of the universe like madoka had. And the new world she created was better for it.
That is at least until the show decided to make a movie sequel and trick madoka into descending. At that point she stops acting as a Buddha and instead as Pistis Sophia in line with the obscure belief system of 2nd century Gnostics. But that will be a conversation for another time.

So Willow said she bugged every room in the Schnee Mansion... sooo she got a live recording of Oscar telling James of Salem's apparent immortality. And Neo and Cinder were in there, along with a very unhappy Whiltey Schnee how might now be in control of the SDC and feeling more abandoned by his splintering family...
Heyo Miki-chan! Yeaahhh…here’s the thing with that titbit about the recording:
Even if a recording of Oscar andIronwood’s conversation should exist realistically within the show given the setupabout Willow bugging every room in Schnee Manor with cameras, I honestly don’tthink it’ll ever be used nor will it come up for the remainder of the season.
To me, I think the sole purpose of the narrativehighlighting that little detail was to: a) Provide a nice little way for Willow Schneeto contribute to the PLOT when she finally made her first onscreen debut. b) Provide a nice little way to redeem Willow’s character in the eyes of the audienceas she was originally pegged to be the quintessential ‘absent mother’ who spent most of her time drowning her sorrows in alcohol whileallowing her husband to abuse their children and run the family name that her deceasedfather once built into the dirt.
And finally c) To conveniently give Weiss the exact thing she needed to out her father for hiscrimes.
Gee-whillikers, I thought Clover Ebi was the one with luck on his side. Howlucky was Weiss that Whitley was the only obstacle keeping her back fromexploring Schnee Manor. Not to mention that it was also really lucky how noneof the staff at Schnee Manor tried to stop Weiss at all from wandering aroundthe place…in spite of the fact that the last known worker was fired for‘allowing her to leave the manor’.
How lucky was Weiss that Jacques didn’timplement any kind of new policy with the staff at the Manor barring her and herfriends from exploring any part of the premises unsupervised since she left home.
How lucky was Weiss that Jacques didn’tforce her to be a ‘guest’in her own home by barring her fromexploring the Manor; thus providing a bit of a tougherchallenge to get to her dad’s office than justpoor Whitley.
Hard to believe that this was the same authoritarian father who once cut Weiss off financially just because she chose toattend an academy far away from her kingdom rather than stay home where Jacquescould keep a watchfuleye on her and dictate her education.
Hard to believe that Weiss could justeasily return home and wander the Manor as freely as she did when she lived there back in V4…despite leaving anddespite previously telling off her father in front of the friends she pledgedwere her family over her biological one much to Jacques’ clear annoyance.
Hard to believe Weiss faced zerorepercussions because of that moment. Turns out Weiss can tell off Jacques and STILL walkaround her home like she never left. Seriously, did Clover rub off some of his goodjuju on Weiss because that is just such gosh darn luck.
But wait, there’s more! How lucky wasWeiss that she was easily able to make her way to her father’s office and findit open when she needed it to be.
How lucky was Weiss that Jacques wasthe type to keep his office shut when he’s there but somehow leave it perfectlyaccessible when he isn’t there.
How lucky was Weiss that the night shechose to snoop around her father’s office just so happened to be the same nighther mom chose to make herself present for the first time ever in the story inthe exact same place as her.
How lucky was Weiss that her motherjust so happened to have the information she needed to rat out her father onhis crimes waiting right there in the room to give it to her when she arrived.
And theglazed cherry on top? How lucky was Weissthat her mother was able to provide her with the exact info she needed becauseshe just so happened to have rigged all of Schnee Manor with cameras. Wowee! It’s notlike that detail raises any kind of questions at all. Nope. None. Weiss reallygave Clover a run for his money with just how lucky she got in V7CH8. Amazing.
Alright, alright, my dry sense ofhumour aside—Not to be that person, however the more this squiggle meister watches RWBY, the more I’m starting to catch onto the CRWBYWriters’ overreliance on the almighty Power ofConvenience for the sake of pushing the PLOT.
For example: X thingamabobble was only introduced in this one scene for the sake of providingCharacter A with the precise thing they needed for the next scene and thenX thingamabobble is never used again in the PLOT since it already servedits key purpose.
As established in V7CH8, Willow onlyplaced the cameras for the sake of having a resource to out Jacques in theevent that she ever needed to leave him, I’m assuming.
“…You puta camera in here.”
“I putthem in every room of this house, for our safety, in case I ever needed to—“
I think the camera jig was purposefullyplaced as a plot device to provide a means for Weiss to rat out Jacques on hissecret alliance with Watts. Somehow, I have a better chance at believing thatthe camera detail will never be used ever again for the remainder of V7 thanotherwise.
Unless the PLOT attempts to introduce anothersubplot in which an emotionally distraught Whitley Schnee discovers therecorded footage of Ironwood and Oscar’s conversation about Salem on the Scrollhis mother gave Weiss and decides to use the information about Salem toblackmail the General and the Council into releasing his father from prisonunless they wanted to risk a repeat of what transpired down in Mantle with allof Atlas being plunged into a panic that would bring forth another wave ofGrimm. Especially during a tense time where both the People of Mantle and Atlasare living up in the sky and tensions are even higher now as the People ofAtlas are upset that they’re forced to share their kingdom with the “bottom feeders” and the People of Mantle still blame Atlas for the decimation oftheir home.
Even if the Robyn and the rest of theAtlas Council know about Salem’s existence, I doubt they’d want to reveal thenews to the rest of the kingdom as yet especially in the wake of tense timesfor both Atlas and Mantle.
Here’s what I’m thinking: My hunch isthat by the end of V7, Mantle’skingdom will be near destroyed and infested with Grimm with most of its kingdommoved up to living in Atlas. You’vebeen anticipating a ‘consequence’ for our heroes actions, right Miki-chan?
Well what if… thefitting consequence was that our heroes’ actions contributed toward the Fall ofMantle while settings things in motion for the inevitable Fall of Atlas?
As described before, when Mantle falls, all the People of Mantle will be moved up to Atlas right? While this will markthe first time in Remnant history that Atlas and Mantle are united, imagine if…noteveryone is happy with the reunion.
I can see the People of Atlas, particularly the upperclass, lashing out at the Mantlese, accusingthem of being unwantedimmigrants exploiting the resources of their kingdom while the surviving People of Mantle would argue that Atlaswouldn’t exist without them so if anyone was “exploited”, it was the Mantleseespecially since they still blame Atlas for what happened to their kingdom.
Having a subplot where the truth isused as weapon to bring forth more devastation—this time for both Atlas and Mantle who was now forced coexiston the same soil together— that could be fascinating to watch play out. Especially if you add the detail that Atlas hasnow become the equivalent of dangling a baited worm on a hook over a pool of piranhassince… imagine that Mantlebecomes exactly like Mountain Glenn and what’s left of Beacon after its fall—an abandoned, desolate kingdom infested withGrimm from the tundra all around Solitas that have now made it their territory;making it unsafe for the People of Mantle to return to their home for a whileor ever again.
With this, I can see Robyn Hill and her Happy Huntresses becomingmore prominent characters for theAtlas Arc as they would have to work with theAtlas Council and Military to siphon the rising tensions in Atlas due to thedisputes among both sides of their citizens.
With Atlas hovering over a literalcesspool of Grimm in the remains of Mantle below, let’s just say that Atlascould not afford another Grimm wave like Mantle. But as I said, tensions arerising. The People are miserable and the supposed leaders of both respectivekingdoms are at their wits ends trying to deal with the demands oftheir people.
I can even picture this as being anopportunity for our heroes to gain triple the experience in the field, workingwith the Ace Ops and the Happy Huntresses to clear out all the Grimm down inMantle. However this proves futile most of the time since the Grimm keepreturning to the city in droves due to all the tension up in Atlas.
To make matters worse, what if… there iseven tension among some members of the Ace Ops and the Happy Huntresses—like Marrow and May for example— which affect the troops ability to work togetherand often creates more problems than the Grimm do.
So basically it’s a scenario wheretimes aren’t all that hunky-dory anymore. The tension between Atlas and Mantle is growing by theday, plaguing everyone including its huntsmen and our heroes are unfortunatelycaught between all of it, forced to feel guilty about the whole thing sincetheir past choices were partially responsible for placing both kingdoms in thiscurrent “rough patch”.
With that thought in mind, that wouldmake the Fall of Atlas far worse since it could potentially kill not just the People ofAtlas but Mantle as well. If Atlasfalls, there would be no place for either Atlas or Mantle to go since the kingdom in the sky has fallen and what’s left of Mantlewas now a ghost territory made unfit by the Grimm. Basically, if Atlas falls, the People of Mantle and Atlas will be forced to restart from the same place their ancestors once did decades ago.
That could be a very cool developmentfor Atlas. Not to mention it could make a really, really great season for RWBYto watch unfold. Buuuuuuuuuuuut….I dunno. These are all just ideas here. Idoubt the story would do something like that with Whitley. As I told oneanon-ninja, I don’t want Whitley to become a villain. However I wouldn’t mindhim being used as an unfortunately pawn since I can see a greater likelihood ofthat.
Then again, what I mostly want for Whitis for him and Weiss’ relationship to become a focal point of Weiss’development. Imagine if…in addition to having to deal with recovering what’s left ofMantle, the tensions between the Ace Ops and the Happy Huntresses, the tensionbetween Mantle and Atlas overall—Weiss also has to deal with tension between herand her brother.
Like she’s trying her best to be a good big sister for Whitley like Winter was to her but Whit wasn’t meeting herhalfway at all on anything. No matter what Weiss did, Whitley would always shuther down since he blamed her for placing their father behind bars—not evenacknowledging that Jacques placed himself at the foot of this door. Weiss justpushed him inside.
No matter how much Weiss tried, she couldn’tseem to catch a break. None of our heroes could. Everything was just such a messand it was only going to be downhill from there.
I dunno. I guess what I’m mostly sayinghere is that I don’t expect the camerafootage plot device to come back; given how thingsoften go within RWBY.
If it does somehow return to serviceyet another subplot like you anticipated then alrighty then. But as of now, I’mnot expecting it too, fam.
As for Neo, while she was indeed insideSchnee Manor under disguise, she was also conveniently under disguise on thesame night our heroes showed up for the Schnee Dinner. Going off of what was foreshadowed back in V6—I think Neo was only there at Schnee Manor to scopeout for Ruby and learn where her next whereabouts were going to be. Since the Fire and Ice-cream duo labelled Ruby as their target, I’m expecting them to ambushher under the haze of the Fall of Mantle. That’s my guess with that.

Stand Atlantic - Sad Summer Fest - Columbus, Ohio - July 20th, 2019 - captured by Jessica S. Wilt
For the third time this year, I flew to see Stand Atlantic play the USA. This time it was on the first ever run for Sad Summer Fest in Columbus, Ohio. Prior to the start of the tour, bassist Miki Rich was invited to be a permanent member of the band. I was so happy because he is a literal angel and such an amazing person!
I remember standing in line at their merch watching everyone get their chance to meet these goofs. The person in front of me was up to meet them and Miki noticed me standing there. He excitedly waved at me and proceeded with the current fan. I stepped up for my turn next.
Miki: "WE DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE COMING!"
(He was so happy to see me.)
Me: "I lied, I'm so sorry!
Miki: "You lied??? Why'd you do that?! Just kidding!"
I told them my original plans to be in Ohio earlier in June were cancelled so I was able to change my vacation days last minute to see them play SSF.
Me: "Sorry for my Neapolitan lookin ass, I just got back from Florida."
Bon: "Neapolitan? Is that the one that's brown, pink and white?"
We all talked for a few minutes and they asked me if I was back in the lower 48 states yet. I sighed. I old them I had a month or so left in Alaska and then I'd be on my way to New Mexico. (They've been waiting patiently for me to be closer to see them instead of flying outrageous hours to a show.)
I handed them both my Sidewinder and Skinny Dipping CD jackets to sign because I finally overcame my nervousness to ask them.
We took our pictures and said bye before their set. I was a couple feet from the barricade and was already sweating bullets.
They came out and I was just roaring with excitement! Every time I see them play, they always get the crowd going so hard. The setlist was a pretty decent lineup for them being one of the smaller, less known bands on the tour.
Setlist (not in order):
Bullfrog
Speak Slow
Lost My Cool
Skinny Dipping
Chemicals
Coffee At Midnight (restarted because a fan was down)
Lavender Bones
I really wanted them to play Sidewinder because it was one of their popular ones from their EP. They replaced it with Chemicals, which I think was a great choice for the festival. During that song, Potter literally YEETED himself across the barricade and played the song from the pit!
Though I didnt get a guitar pick or setlist, I still wholeheartedly enjoyed myself. I love going to their shows and they are by far my favorite band to see live.
A few other bands went on and I just tried to goed into some shade. (The heat index created the literal definition of swamp ass for all patrons.) I kinda hung by the merch table for a bit.
Potter was running it while I was there. Me and him talked for about ten minutes about where exactly I lived (Alaska or Ohio). I bought all of the merch that I didnt already have. (A green tie dye shirt, Lavender Bones dragon shirt, black Bullfrog shirt and the matching wallflag!)
I left early because the heat was too much for me at that point and I was worn out with an hour drive back home. I said goodbye to Potter and told him to tell the others for me. He told me he can't wait to see me again and hopes it's soon.
Never in my mind did I ever think that I'd fall in love with this band. What started out as just a fan to band connection became a light friendship. They are so amazingly funny, supportive and the nicest people I've ever met.
It's hard to describe my relationship with them to people who do not really know what it is. I might not even know what it fully is. Either way, they know my face and can pick me out in a crowd. That's way more than enough.
There's so much more ahead with StAt and me. They have so much potential and I can't wait to see where they take themselves!
xoxoxo
I love you Bon, Potter, Miki and Jonno!

The barista had a lot to offer today aside from his assortment of beverages and food. He gives her advice today. They were free of charge with no strings attached. His words were wise. Talking to the Incubator had been frustrating because the contractor could not understand emotions. His species thought emotions were a mental illness. Each word that came from the creature came from a place of logic and statistics. But she was not in the mood for that today. Hanekoma Sanae offered her a reassurance that would have left her hopeful in her earlier stage. It sounded like he was talking from experiences. The talk of happy endings left her with a bitter taste in her mouth. There was no such thing as a happy ending for the souls that make contracts. They lived in a universe where girls blossomed violently into monsters after being pushed over the edge. Where was the happy ending in becoming a witch? Homura has seen friends turn into monsters. She can still remember the time when Madoka tried to reach the heart of Sayaka Miki after the sword-wielding girl became a witch. There is no way to talk to a witch. Sayaka Miki was gone as soon as her soul gem plummeted into despair. Her heart is gone. There is no way to reverse a witch into what they used to be. It was a noble effort for Madoka to do, yes, but it could have ended in bloodshed.
❝ But what if the story keeps restarting? ❞ The middle of the story— Those words were enough to cause her solemn gaze to drop to the floor. Her story always had a beginning, a middle, and an ending. But her ending always reverts back to the beginning. It involved waking up in the same hospital without anyone in her room. Those white walls and bedsheets mock her each and every time. They remind her of how her existence was so pitiful until she met Madoka. She hated that hospital so much. The middle of her story always ended with accusations being thrown. There is plenty of tension in the middle. But there is no more surprises for her. She is usually told that she was a liar when she tried to tell the truth. She is met with denial and shock when the truth is revealed. Now, the middle of her story is usually always different. But she has lived through all sorts of various scenarios. The ending of her story sometimes ended in death. But it always ended in some kind of failure. Then she is suddenly back at the beginning of her story. Back to waking up in that suffocating hospital. Back to being strangers with everyone. Back to pretending to be the new transfer student.
❝ What happens to the story then? ❞ Hanekoma spoke of happy endings as if he has seen plenty of them in his lifetime. Happiness has always been fleeting for her ever since she was small. She wondered if Hanekoma was still waiting for his own happy ending. But then her tired mind wondered if she actually deserved a happy ending. She has never truly thought about a happy ending for herself until Hanekoma brought up the topic. She supposes that a happy ending for everyone else would be better. Homura knew that she has been skeptical of receiving any happy ending at all for a long time now. She has become jaded after trampling on countless of hearts in her pursuit for ending this looping nightmare. She has not gotten closer to reaching the ending that she desired. But what if she did reach a good enough ending? What then? Fighting is all that she knew anymore.
bounced. @clarafell
It was a complicated story for sure. He was aware of bits and pieces of the goings on beyond the reapers games. He was privy to the sight of Witches and the Young Ladies that were championed to ‘fight’ them; though like Incubators, he was privy to things beyond that knowledge. He had been watching this circle of beginnings and endings with the Magical Girls contracted to become the very thing they fought against for centuries. It didn’t make it any easier over the years. It was similar to the Reapers Games in aspects that made him uncomfortable and provoked action out of him in ways he could bend rules.
Still….. There is a guilt of consciousness that weighs on his soul as he listens to Homura. Time magic was not something he was unfamiliar with. In fact, he was well versed in it having been able to tune into timelines to follow the individuals journey and document findings. He knew, without her telling him, that her story far exceeded a simple playback. She was knowledgeable of things and had a way about her that was deliberate in her actions.
It reminded him of himself even with the façade of generosity around him. The difference was she was worn down. He had to keep going.
❝ Is it truly a restart if outcomes change? No, yer story continues even if the circumstances of th’ world around you repeat. An’ as long as yer willin’ to fight for that person yer tryin’ to protect, then it’s worth th’ risk…. Outcomes be damned, if my person was in peril there would be nothing to stop me to protect them. ❞ his tone is firm, matter of fact. He’s lived it in his own way over and over and will continue because to him it’s worth the risk to repeat. ❝ Happiness is what you make it. It’s not something that can be given. It’s earned. It’s finding peace with your circumstances, accepting them and making the most of them. ❛ A happy ending cannot come in the middle of the story. ❜
The Last Unicorn Sentence Starters : Accepting!
↳ @catncore

Writers wanted help with “Not Today, Satan”
So anybody who knows is following knows my current obsession Devilman: Crybaby! I want to write a long epic fanfiction about it but I need a lot of help writing it.
My story is going to be called “Not Today, Satan”
It takes place right after Satan kills Akira and cries over him as the angels descend to destroy Earth again but this time Michael has a chat with Satan. She’s frustrated that Lucifer a.ka. Satan STILL doesn’t remember the endless cycle of punishment that God has put him through. Knowing God is petty as fuck and will continue to punish Satan for his own amusement gives Satan the gift of remembrance before the Earth is destroyed.
The cycle has started again but this time Ryo has all his memories and wants to make things right with him and Akira, now realizing his love for him.
But it’s not that easy when Akira remembers everything like; Ryo turning him into a demon, manipulating him, gaslighting him, drugging him, starting a war with the demons and the humans, indirectly killing his parents and Miki and his foster family, Ryo being the fucking Devil, causing the extinction of the human race and finally killing him.
So Akira won’t be jumping and twirling around Ryo’s arms anytime soon. In my story, Akira is still in his human form for a while not merging with Amon to soon.
Akira in his weak human form but still regains his memories in the old timeline and standing up to Ryo. Ryo wants to make things up for Akira but Akira wants nothing to do with him after the hell he caused him. Akira was a victim of abuse in a toxic relationship and now restarting the cycle again, Akira wants to be free from Ryo’s clutches.
My fic will be a slow burn with Ryo coming to an understanding that Akira is a person and not his possession and truly will love Akira. Ryo will get his redemption and find his true purpose of his battle against God was about Freewill and fight God to protect Akira so he won’t ever hurt or kill him for sick enjoyment.
Yeah so that’s just the snippet but if anyone is interested in helping me write or help betaing, please, please message me because I have a lot more plot and ideas!
