Mike scribbled in his notebook as fast as he could. This Donatello was spectacular at striking a pose, and his dragon buddy(!!!) made it all even cooler. They were just. So neat.
Before this event and his decision to pick up the pencil again, Mike hadn't had anyone to model for him in a long long time. His brothers no longer had the patience, or the time, given how occupied they were with... stuff.
(His universe wasn't in the best of shapes, to put it mildly.)
He got some cool dynamic poses from Donatello. But the way the dragon curved around the guy was what really captured Mike's attention - and though the sweeping strokes were a little tricky, Mike thought he did a pretty good job.
He hadn't had anyone else propose a hero character with a creature companion, yet, so this one was for sure going in his comic!

Mike felt a little thrill run down the back of his shell at the incredible - and terrifying - acting, but he managed to keep his friendly grin up, in any case. The reference passed right over his head. He had an inkling it was a Broadway thing, and Broadway had been kind of... uh. Not really shut down? But definitely scaled down, in his universe, for a while now. Still, he had to appreciate a good theatrical presentation! This Donatello had missed his calling on the stage.
"Cosplay! Shell yes! I'll admit, I'm a little rusty; haven't done any sketching for basically a decade now. Having a model is really helpful, so thanks! And I'm a little short on villain characters, so this is great."
He sat himself on a nearby stump and started sketching a few dramatic poses. "And what should I put down as your supervillain name?"

Mike is looking for supporting characters in his superhero comic book! What would your character(s) look like as superheroes? Or would they be supervillain(s)?
@tmnt-fandom-family-reunion
“Villain persona? I am the villain. However, a little cosplay never hurt anyone.”
“So I'll do anything! I don't care if I hurt anyone. It doesn’t pay to be a good kid. A good son.”

Henchmen for Hire Cave Finders update (sorry it's late)
So... the name "Henchmen for Hire" has already been used for multiple IP's including an already existing Web Comic series that better fits it's title. So now the series that I am making is going to be recalled "Cave Finders" (which I don't already think has been taken, but I could be wrong).
As mentioned before, the series will follow two indentured magic users- Claire B. Ellody who is an ex-magician's assistant with the power to not get hurt by attacks, and Atka Boid who appears to be some sort of ancient deity that can manipulate rock however he pleases. Both of them work for an organization (which will now be renamed) where upper-class/rich residents of their planet (known as Elites) hire people like them who had trouble finding a job to loot old caves or do random tasks in their favor (such as guard a door... or perform an ASSASSINATION OF A POLITICAL FIGURE!!!)
Claire and Atka will begrudgingly do these jobs so they can achieve their ultimate goal of living comfortably with a roof over their heads. While simultaneously being confronted by enemies of the past that wish to either use them for their nefarious schemes, or try to destroy them for standing in the way of said schemes.
The name "Cave Finders" might also not quite fit as the title of the series, but its a work in progress still. I will try to have a pilot for the series out by July or October here on Tumblr or some other platform, but likely if you are at all interested in this series, you may need to wait until October for the pilot. I am very inexperienced when it comes to publishing a series and my energy levels tend to be really low these days alongside a busy schedule. The series will still happen- it will just take a heck of a long time. It- along with perhaps the pilots to two other series I've been working on (again though- based on my energy levels and schedule might not be realistic) will have pilots advertising them. Whichever one gets the most attention will get a full, free to view series while other series after that might get a charge (I still need to look into the legal business work on that).
The other two series that I plan to advertise maybe later on and create pilots for are as follows:
Angels Heard on High- a bit of a mild NSFW series following a group of remaining super soldiers referred to as "Angels" that were originally created to destroy monsters and those infected by their power. Most of the other angels have seemingly gone missing while an evil organized monster group continues to rise, meaning that its up to the remaining Angels to protect the world from their terror. However, they will soon learn that the lines between good and evil are not as clear as they've been told.
Mike and Icky's Crazy Adventure (title subject to change)- College Frat brother Mike Riverman decided to smoke a joint near the Agriculture Department's cornfield when he spotted who he thought was another student out at the same time he was. He decided to take his new homie back to the frat house as he looked a bit beat up only to find none of his crew was in the dorm. Now he and his new friend, Icky, are on an adventure to return all the fraternity members back safe and sound. No cop, monster, or mad scientist are gonna stop these guys from- wait, what do you mean Icky's a scarecrow?

Mike was ecstatic. Look at her!! She was adorable!! Of course Turtle Titan needed a teeny tiny sidekick! Why didn't he think of that? Evildoers the world over would tremble in terror at the combined might of Turtle Titan and TINY TITAN!
He abandoned the notebook altogether in favor of his phone camera, snapping pictures as Misa posed.
In the sling, El huffed a little happy laugh at Mike's own delighted chuckles.
"Brilliant! Epic! Loving the pink, it's so striking!" He crouched down a little to pose for a quick selfie, looking absolutely over the moon excited the entire time, happily wiggling so hard the phone could barely stay still enough to snap a good shot. "Look at us, we're the most dynamic duo in town!"

"You've heard of me! I mean, of course you've heard of me," Mike corrected himself quickly, pulling himself up to his full height with his hand on his hip, puffing out his chest proudly. He was recognized!! That hardly ever happened.
"And you got it, bro," he said with an ear-splitting grin, "the Turtle Titan is always accepting applicants for a totally terrific teamup!"
He peered at Mikey through Mikey's framed hands. "Let's see. Spectacular Terrapin? The Shelled Crusader? Or... hm." He began pacing around Mikey, looking him up and down with the scrutiny that one normally gives to a very difficult exam, or a Where's Waldo page. What was a good name for someone as cool as Mike, as filled with pure Michelangelo energy as Mike, and whose heroic efforts would no doubt equal his own?
"I got it!" He rested his right arm across Mikey's shoulders and pulled him into a side hug, waving his residual left arm in a wide arc. "Turtle Titan Senior and Turtle Titan Junior!"
He pulled away to give Mikey a conspiratorial grin. "A fashion boutique?! Count me in!"

Mikey sighed, relieved. He was glad that the trouble with the Raphs had started to die down as their beach days came to a close. He had heard stories, and to think that two Raphaels were going around and causing such trouble... crazy.
I mean, who would do that to others? I'm glad I avoided them. Now that I think about it, me and Mike seem to be the only ones spared.
...huh.
But... now. Now they were going to have a fashion show, and he had never been more excited. His dreams were coming true. He could be the fashionista he always knew he could be.
He was getting ready to plan and then start his fashion career when a voice spoke up behind him. Mikey knew who that was immediately. Laughing, he turned around to face his twin, who was holding a notebook in his hand. His excitement seemed to match Mikey's. Oh yeah, he's got something planned. He knew that look on his twin's face. Whatever Mike was thinking, he knew it was gonna be good.
Mike started talking, and when he started talking Mikey's excitement ramped up about a 1000% percent. Superheroes? Awh hell yeah!
"Are you asking me for a superhero team-up, Mike? Do I finally get to meet Turtle Titan, the greatest hero to ever exist? Dude, I am so down. I sense the beginnings of an epic superhero duo."
He stopped, thinking. Becoming a superhero was all he had ever dreamed of. With his twin? They'd be unstoppable. "Give me a name, dress me up. Mike, let's make me a superhero. Then? Then we expand. I'm thinking fashion boutique. I'm thinking Incredibles. I'm thinking Edna. I have a vision, Mike. A vision." He frames his hands, looking at Mike through them. "Superhero duo. Superhero business. Thwarting the villains and having an awesome side hustle. What do ya think?"

New Post has been published on http://esonetwork.com/once-upon-a-time-lord-review-earth-station-who/
'Once Upon A Time Lord' Review | Earth Station Who
In this episode of Earth Station Who, the crew reviews the Doctor Who comic book “Once Upon a Time Lord” by Dan Slott, discussing its storytelling, characters, and artwork. They have enjoyed the main story featuring the 10th Doctor and Martha but have mixed feelings about the portrayal of the 9th Doctor and Rose’s relationship, finding some elements repetitive and off-putting. Despite this, they recommend the comic to readers. The hosts also announce their upcoming panel at Pensacon and discuss other Doctor Who-related events. They tease future podcast content, including discussions on Big Finish audio dramas, new and classic series episodes, and more Doctor Who comics.
We want to hear from you! Please write to us at [email protected]. Also, please subscribe and rate the show on iTunes, Amazon, YouTube, or wherever fine podcasts are found. Feedback is always welcome and much appreciated.

SUPERMAN ADVENTURES #28
Written by Mark Millar Drawn by Mike Manley Published by DC Comics
PREVIOUSLY: SUPERMAN ADVENTURES #27
"Jimmy Olsen vs. Darkseid"
Darkseid's son Kalibak has traveled to Earth with plans to use some machine to actually swap bodies with Superman, after which he intends to use Superman's powers to conquer the planet. He sets a trap to lure Superman by kidnapping Jimmy Olsen and Lois Lane, but when Superman arrives the plans go awry and Kalibak's machine causes Superman to swap bodies with Jimmy instead. Kalibak then kidnaps "Jimmy" and takes him back to Apokolips, where Kalibak faces the wrath of Darkseid, who did not approve of Kalibak's plan.
Back on Earth, Jimmy has to learn how to use Superman's powers, which are overwhelming for him at first, and find a way to get to Apokolips so he can rescue Superman and switch their bodies back.
I'm once again impressed with the way Mark Millar is able to take such an epic storyline like this, which could be a multi-part crossover in the mainstream Superman comics, and condense it into a simple single-issue story that's suitable for, and accessible to, all ages. We get Superman, Lois, Jimmy, and also Professor Hamilton at S.T.A.R. labs in this tale featuring Apokolips and New Genesis. It's exciting action on a grand scale, like a space opera. Mike Manley, who last drew Superman Adventures #25, returns to do the artwork again, and does a stellar job. This is one of the best issues of Millar's run on this title.
Check it out!
