What's funny is that you can have core beliefs so deep-seated that you never question them because you assume they must come from somewhere reasonable and then you discover that they just aren't true

This isn't even about some deep traumatic shit. This is about me believing that I don't like poetry so I don't read poetry because that belief has to be based on some experience with poetry that I didn't like and then I actually read some poetry and discover that I like it very much to the point where I'm upset that I can't get the poetry ebooks from my library that I want to read right now because I really want to continue reading poetry right now

I finally have a tattoo idea for my first tattoo that I am fully behind even with all my identity confusion and compartmentalization and all the conflicting parts of me. Now I just don't know where exactly I want the tattoo because I'm also a coward who can't stand pain and I don't want my first tattoo to hurt that much but no one with tattoos can give me a good answer on a spot that doesn't hurt like shit and everyone I've asked always has been like "it depends" and that's just the most unhelpful answer ever
