i was thinking abt this earlier but oh my god do i miss the common amateur (anime/anime adjacent) digital (fan)art styles you would see all the time on the internet back around 2011-2017 (big range but stick with me here)
even if cringe culture kept coming for these poor teenagers and college students you could tell there was a lot of love they put into their pieces even if the technical aspects (anatomy, lighting, composition, etc) were off
yes i can just go and look for that kind of stuff now but art styles and aesthetics have changed sm since then...
