Welcome to the Favorite Classmate Tournament!
This is gonna be a big one. Due to the number of classmates and the fact i couldn't evenly distribute it in a number of pairs and sides that made sense for the brackets (maybe there's a way and I'm just bad at math), every side initially includes 3 pairs and 1 trio each, and finals will be a poll between 3 contenders and y'all will have to live with that, I did my best.
As always, pairs/trios and their order in the bracket were randomly generated.
Complete list of polls under the cut, they'll be linked as soon as they're posted. Polls will be open for a week. May your fave win!

Momoka Horikawa wins mass start, Takagi 3rd in 1,000m
Japanese speed skater Momoka Horikawa surprised the field — and herself — by winning the women’s mass start at a World Cup meet for the first time in her career Sunday. Also in the finale of the 2022-23 World Cup tour in the Polish city of Tomaszow Mazowiecki, Japanese compatriot Miho Takagi came in third in the women’s 1,000 meters, leaving her atop the season standings for the distance.
Read the full article

Jumputi Series #3: Bauman
Manga series written by Tsugumi Ohba and drawn by Takeshi Obata, the same team behind Death Note.
Synopsis: This manga centers around Mashiro Moritaka, a middle school student who is asked to be a manga artist for classmate Akito Takagi's stories. After being pushed to meet with his crush Miho Azuki who reveals she wants to become a voice actress someday, Mashiro proposes that they marry when she becomes a VA for an anime adaptation of their manga. Mashiro and Akito then set out to create a manga that makes it into Weekly Shonen Jump.

Characters:
Mashiro Moritaka- One half of the manga Duo Ashirogi Muti, he was reluctant at first to become a manga artist because of the demise of his overworked manga artist uncle. His largest motivation is the promise between he and Miho Azuki.
Akito Takagi- The other half of Ashirogi Muti, he does the storylines for the manga. He resolved to do manga after being frustrated that his parents were pushing him to be an office worker.
Kazuya Hiramaru- A salary management who overhears Takagi talking about making manga and decides to quit his job to do do as well, thinking it would be easier. His series Otter 11 gets serialized and he then regrets it, finding that keeping up a weekly manga was more work than he wanted
Eiji Nizuma- A high school genius mangaka with a love for manga who has been drawing manga ever since he was little. From Aomori, he moved to Tokyo for the serialization of his manga Yellow Hit on the condition that if he becomes Jump's best mangaka he will be given the right to end one series in Jump that he hates.

Takagi wins 1st individual Olympic gold, Bowe breaks through
Miho Takagi of Japan won her fourth speedskating medal of the Beijing Games and the first individual gold of her career with an Olympic-record victory in the women’s 1,000 meters Thursday.
The silver went to Jutta Leerdam of the Netherlands, while Brittany Bowe of the United States claimed the first individual medal of her career with a bronze.
Takagi added to silver medals in the 500, 1,500 and team pursuit at the Beijing Games — and especially sweet after losing a gold in the pursuit when her older sister, Nana, fell in the final turn with Japan leading.
Miho Takagi eclipsed her performance from the Pyeongchang Games four years ago, where she took gold in the team pursuit, silver in the 1,500 and bronze in the 1,000.
Takagi won with a time of 1 minute, 13.19 seconds, easily breaking the previous Olympic record of 1:13.56 set in 2018 by Jorien ter Mors.

Note
I know she is not Dutch, but I would really love for Bowe to win a gold medal on the 1000m at the Olympics.
Bowie is gay and awesome, i count that as please win gold so i don't have to listen to Dutch commentators hyping Leerdam again. Either her or Miho, i love Miho too.
