It's not that I don't love canon Eugene, and they *did* recycle aspects of Bastion's character design for Kristoff later on, but just think about what might have been if he'd made it into the final film as he is in these early concepts. Thinking about how in TTC that we had mostly Brazilian songs to fill in the songs from SA and possibly, in carnival time/carnival suprise package there would be Mexican songs in the first part of the film and cuban music when Miguelito was introduced.

Happy 77th anniversary, Three Caballeros! Plus, Happy 77th birthday, Panchito and Aracuan Bird!

On this day, in 1944, the movie "The Three Caballeros" was shown, which was a sequel to the movie "Saludos Amigos" from 1942, and it was a mixture of live-action and animated movie and contains several sequences. I definitely recommend you watch both movies, which you haven’t yet!

Certainly in these sequences, as in the Saludos Amigos movie, the beautiful countries of Latin America are shown, as well as the people and customs themselves. New characters such as Pablo the Penguin, Buritto the Flying Donkey, Horse Senor Martinez and others have also appeared in these films. But that day, two characters appeared who will be part of Donald's world, and they are Panchito Pistoles and Aracuan Bird. With Panchito, Donald and Jose will become legendary trio singers, called the Three Caballeros. After that film, they will appear in several cartoons, comics, toys and other shows.

And now there are pictures of them from the beginning (1934 for Donald, 1942 for Jose and 1944 for Panchito) until today in various variants, especially in cartoons and comics. Like ordinary birds, like family people, like superheroes, like super warriors and more, with their friends and rivals. Yes, I added things related to Donald and Jose, although it is not related to the three caballeros, they are still important elements for their characterization development. Yes, it will be a long post, but I'm sure you like one of these versions that will be shown for all three birds (duck, parrot and rooster), although Donald's birthday is June 9, and Jose's birthday is August 24.

Definitely happy 77th anniversary, Three Caballeros! And happy 77th birthday, Panchito Pistoles! And happy birthday to you, Aracuan Bird! And that they are some of the best Disney characters ever.
