How Cienna would react if child!mc for her birthday only wants to spend more time with her older sister even if it's only for one day?

Cienna tends to overwork herself on her birthday because she doesn’t like celebrating it; though she rarely ever likes celebrating things when she’s the focus… Unless it’s something to do with work, but that’s mainly because she can pass off the attention to her employees and simply write off her own involvement as: “I wouldn’t have been able to do it without them. You should truly be talking to, and congratulating, them for a job well done.”

If the MC wished to spend time with her? She’d truly be in a bind because she likes her schedule, she likes what she does on her birthday, because it allows for her to slip into work mode and forget everything else (like the age jokes from Christian). However, being the dedicated older sister that she is, and because she’s willing to do a lot for her family, she wouldn’t want to shrug off the request either…

So, Cienna would probably come up with a solution (like she would do at work).

“Let’s make a deal, Beastie.” Balancing elegantly on four inch heels, Cienna effortlessly crouches in front of you, hands, almost without thinking, gently straightening out the crumpled quality of your night shirt. “I need to head into work to have a meeting with my team—” She raises a single finger when you start to object. “It’s something that I can’t miss, nor should I cancel it last minute as that’d reflect poorly onto me and our family, but when it’s done I’ll head straight home and we can spend the rest of the day together, all right?” Glancing down at her wrist, Cienna checks the time, a small furrow appearing between her brow. “I really do have to go, Beastie, but I’ll be back before you know it.”

Leaning forward, Cienna places a delicate kiss on your forehead, and vanishes out the door, leaving only the faintest hint of her perfume behind.

The sly smile upon her little brother’s face is all she needs to see to know what’s about to occur, electric blue eyes slipping shut in exhausted exasperation in preparation. “Oh, don’t be like that, Neesa,” Christian complains, pout in full effect. “I only wanted to ask you as question. Is that so bad?”

Cienna arches a brow. “Do you wish for me to answer that honestly or politely?”

His smile blossoms into a full blown grin, amusement dancing within forest green eyes; bringing out the shimmering gold flakes that lay within. “You wound me, dearest sister, but I truly want to know something.” He draws an x over his chest with a finger. “Cross my heart.”

Knowing she’d come to regret this — was already beginning to, in fact — Cienna finally relents with a resigned sigh.

“What do you wish to know, Christian?”

“I’ve just been wondering something as it is your birthday today.” Here it comes… “I mean I obviously wouldn’t know anything about this time period as you’re pretty much a fossil next to me. So, I just had to ask.” The cheekiness once again appears across his face. “What do you miss most about the 1400s?”

“Not having you around to bother me.”
