u know what it is :)
getting the serious out of the way first: i don't sketch very often! and i don't sketch digitally very often. i usually work fast enough that i can get something fully rendered out in a pretty small chunk of my general free time so i don't... not do that often. this was a fun change.
so ok alright stick with me here. locus nightstalker running omni for obvious reasons. felix sentinel ursa furiosa because shield™ but also, more importantly, it is the funniest option to make the twink a titan and give him bear arms.
anyways, the actual loadouts with their justifications:
locus
small tether nightstalker w/ omnioculus: whole squad gets invis
primary: the supremacy. oh, you know, i just think it would be something to give him the sniper rifle whose flavor text is "he didn't recognize me, at the end." also visually similar to halo's sniper, though i did consider sole survivor for, well, you know.
secondary: felwinter's lie. pvp meta funny gun (derogatory)
heavy: thunderlord. machine gun go brr
felix
sentinel w/ ursa furiosa the right to bear arms: shield more, get more shield
torn on primary; either the last word (he's got to get one in) or mida multi-tool for that extra bit of snappiness
secondary: bxr-55 battler. halo gun. easy.
heavy: half-truths. halo sword. easy. also haha joke about lying through his teeth
if you want to recreate these hot fresh looks in-game (i don't have omni bc i cbf to farm for it):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and the bear arms look for sheer hilarity:

Oh no no no. You misunderstood. Marathon is everywhere. Those old ass games still hold sway over every Bungie product. Destiny 2 for example revealed more of the story of Marathon with the MIDA multi tool. There is references everywhere.
If you have several hours to waste, watch mandaloregaming talk about the games. It will eat your mind, you will see symbols everywhere
Ohhh I remember seeing a YouTube video about Mida-Multitool years ago but that was the only reference I knew about. I’ll have to check those videos out

However, you keep all items collected in the run so far, making it more of a New Game Plus for the same run.
The Clone item works a bit differently, reviving you but putting you back at the beginning of the first floor.
The Ration works similarly, but only restores partial health, and can be consumed before death to heal instead.
#Enter the gungeon drum clip full
The Pig item is one proper, as it will revive you on the spot with full health when you take fatal damage. An arcade spin-off game inspired by House of the Dead called House of the Gundead was also released that same year.
#Enter the gungeon drum clip Pc
Add in the ability to dodge roll out of the way of projectiles, flip tables to create cover, and more guns than you can shake a mag at, and you've got Enter the Gungeon.Ī sequel/spin-off known as Exit the Gungeon was announced September 11th 2019 and released on Apple Arcade, as well on PC and consoles in 2020. if they can make it past the Gungeon's many traps and terrors.Įnter the Gungeon borrows equally from the Roguelike and Bullet Hell genres: it has the core gameplay of the former (multiple randomly generated runs, acquiring permanent buffs, Permadeath, etc.), but marries it with the More Dakka attack patterns (from both you and the enemies) of the latter. And so it is that adventurers, known as Gungeoneers, flock to the Gungeon, seeking to right the wrongs of their pasts. Within the Gungeon, say these legends, lies a weapon of unimaginable power: a gun that can kill the past. This bullet formed the Gungeon, a sprawling, shape-shifting fortress protected by the Cult of the Gundead. There is a legend told throughout the galaxy: that many years ago, on the planet Gunymede, a massive bullet fell from space and embedded itself in the earth. Both the song and all three guns are heavily associated with the Vietnam War.Enter the Gungeon is a Bullet Hell Run-and-Gun Roguelike developed by Dodge Roll Games and published by Devolver Digital.
The name of the Mmmmmmmmm MMMMmm! synergy is likely a reference to the distinctive guitar notes prefacing each verse in "Fortunate Son" by Creedence Clearwater Revival.
The synergy Sniper Woof is a reference to Metal Gear Solid's Sniper Wolf character.
#Enter the gungeon drum clip movie
is a reference to the final scene of the movie Jaws, where Martin Brody shoots a gas tank in a shark's mouth with an M1 Garand, making it explode. It resembles an M14 battle rifle, which was a replacement for the M1 Garand battle rifle using box magazines rather than an internal en-bloc-clip-fed magazine, and was capable of select-fire.The boost to movement speed is based on MIDA's unique perk, and its appearance resembles a scout rifle from the Destiny series. The synergy M1 Multi-Tool is a reference to the MIDA Multi-Tool from the Destiny series. However, the weapon in-game is listed as bolt action while both real life counterparts are semi automatic. It could also be the later M1 Carbine based on the detachable box magazine (though this might lead one to expect a magazine capacity of 10, 15, or 30 and no distinctive "ping"). While it only has six shots instead of eight, the description, shape (such as the band around the rifle's forend), and the distinctive pinging reload noise suggest this rifle is the M1 Garand, the famous semi-automatic rifle that served as the mainstay of the US Army in World War 2.Altered: Diazepam - Prior to the Supply Drop Update, Diazepam tripled damage instead of increasing it by 50%.Unused: The Great War - If the player has Grey Mauser, it causes an unknown effect.Although classified as semi-automatic, the M1 is functionally automatic, as it's rate of fire does not benefit from tapping the fire button instead of holding it down.Sniper Shells and Professionals become permanently charmed. Standing still for long enough causes the player to glow yellow, making M1 shots deal 50% more damage. Sniper Woof - If the player has Wolf, M1's reload time is decreased by 30%.These shark explosions can damage the player. If the player has Compressed Air Tank, its sharks will explode upon biting an enemy. Mmmmmmmmm MMMMmm! - If the player also has M16 and M1911, the damage, maximum ammo, and rate of fire of all three guns is increased by 25%.Movement speed is also increased while M1 is held. M1 Multi-Tool - If the player also has Scope, Drum Clip, Ammo Belt, Backpack, or Utility Belt, M1's reload time is decreased by 20%, its magazine size is increased by 50%, and its maximum ammo is increased by 80%.Diazepam - Muscle Relaxant increases this gun's damage by 50%.

“It’s admirable the foundries are trying to redesign it for mass production, but I’m skeptical. You can’t always copy a classic.”
“Why not?”
“Well, this replica might have the same specs, on paper: comparable ballistics, same impact rating, same caliber output, all that, plus matching optics, stock and shock absorption, yada, yada, yada. But what if they leave out the stellar sextant?”
“...Pardon?”
“What if they haven’t included the subsystems and subsidiary functions of the original? And how could they, if they want to make it cost-effective? How are you gonna convince management the gun needs to have the stellar sextant when nobody ever uses it?”
“Uh, but why bother if nobody uses it?”
“Exactly! That’s just what they’ll say—but here’s the thing: what if it doesn’t matter that we don’t use the stellar sextant? What if it matters that it’s there? What if those subsystems contribute to the gun’s... I dunno... the gestalt of its functionality?”
“You think having a stellar sextant was somehow part of why the MIDA series performed like they did?”
“Yes! Yes, exactly!”
“Even if that’s possible... how would we know if it’s true?”
“Well, for starters, we’ll have to see how these new-made copies measure up to originals. If their performance does fall short, and the foundry folks can’t put a finger on it—maybe that means I’m on to something. Maybe it’s the stellar sextant.”

MIDA Multi-Tool
Select application: Ballistic engagement. Entrenching tool. Avionics trawl. Troll smasher. Stellar sextant. List continues.
Type: Scout Rifle
Slot: Kinetic | Energy | Heavy
Element: Kinetic | Stasis | Strand
Perk: MIDA Multi-Tool - This weapon boosts move speed.
Trait: MIDA Radar - Radar stays active while aiming down sights.
Masterworked Trait: No Distractions - Aiming this weapon for a short period reduces flinch.
Ornaments: MIDA Tactical, Desert Camo, Titanium Alloy, Digital Ops, MARA Multi-Tool
Origin & Description: The paired MIDA weapons are a deep cut for Bungie fans: their description and the acronym “MIDA”, like the perk name of Jade Rabbit, reference the world of Marathon, Bungie’s second FPS and a story sometimes considered the unofficial prequel to Halo. In Marathon's timeline, MIDA was a political party on Mars that sought power through increasingly violent means, finally achieving a coup and a brief yet remarkably vicious reign during which fully 10% of Mars' population was killed. After being deposed they retreated underground and continued to plague the solar system as its most well-funded and stable terrorist organization. The MIDA weapons were made for the operative on the go, and thus in theory their onboard AI could fulfill any function said operatives needed to survive in the Martian wilds. It's implied in Multi-Tool's lore tab that these examples of MIDA tech somehow crossed over from a separate timeline into ours ("therefore they're outside your jurisdiction to ban," as Shaxx told a concerned Zavala.)
MIDA is a pair of weapons, one exotic and one legendary, allowing both to be equipped at once. MIDA Multi-Tool is the exotic; MIDA Mini-Tool is the legendary. While either can be used on its own, the Mini-Tool grants additional speed bonuses when both are equipped, and their weapon archetypes synergize well - Multi-Tool is a long-range scout rifle while Mini-Tool is a short-range submachine gun good for finishing off opponents.
You can use the MIDA weapons however you want, but they're built for PvP; so much so that getting the Multi-tool's catalyst requires not just playing in the competitive PvP playlist but winning a significant amount of the time. You can get the catalyst from any match after reaching Mythic rank in Glory, with the chance increasing until it becomes a guaranteed drop at the vaunted heights of Legend. For reference? That is not an easy rank to hit.

MIDA Multi-Tool (D2)
Select application: Ballistic engagement. Entrenching tool. Avionics trawl. Troll smasher. Stellar sextant. List continues.
Weapon Type: Scout Rifle
Ammo Type: Kinetic
Slot: Primary
Foundry: MIDA
Rarity: Exotic
Exotic Perk: Boosts my movement speed. Radar remains visible while ADS.
Masterwork Source: Crucible Matches
Masterwork Perk: Gain the perk Outlaw
Obtainment: European Dead Zone exotic quest
Other Notes: Pairs with the Legendary Submachine Gun MIDA Mini-Tool.
Lore: Zavala — A waste of time, as always. I won't confiscate the Red Death engrams, I won't roll back the SUROS Crucible firmware to its “original” (preposterously inflated) state. And I won't conduct any more “forensic inquiries” like this!
My Redjacks unlocked your MIDA weapon's logs; simple enough once we used the rifle's own electronic warfare tools. The rifle was designed by primitive AI and manufactured for use by a “revolutionary government” named MIDA. Mars Is Damnably Arid, perhaps.
Guerilla war suits these versatile weapons. But Rahool insists his records never hinted at a rebel group named MIDA. According to the rifle's cached messages, MIDA's brief reign killed a full ten percent of the Martian people.
I gave Lakshmi the weapon for her take. She insinuates that it came from another timeline, perhaps through Golden Age experiments. That means it's outside your jurisdiction to ban. —Shaxx

destiny 2 post
two of my favourite exotic weapons in the game are forerunner and MIDA multi-tool. i feel like it's necessary to add that these are weapons from different games that bungie has also made, which makes me feel a little bad for preferring that, but then i thought about it a little more
a) i LOVE a lot of other exotics that originated in destiny 2, namely dead man's tale, edge of concurrence (hunter glaive), tarrabah, and sleeper simulant (okay that's a destiny 1 exotic but like, shut up lmao)
b) this just goes to show that bungie is not only passionate about their franchises, but they will go the extra mile to make sure these weapons feel good in a different environment. like forerunner is an absolute powerhouse just like the halo CE magnum, and has a unique perk with the catalyst that converts your grenade into a frag grenade. MIDA multi tool canonically comes from the marathon universe, and as such it can't technically be banned in the crucible, which is really funny
c) it's okay to enjoy things, and it's doubly okay to reject being a meta slave in favour of using cool things that you really enjoy, because it's a video game and nothing actually matters
d) the animations team and the sound design team deserve a big basket of cookies
reject modernity, return to magnum
thank you

Are our exotics one of a kind?
Edit: there is some wiggle room as to whether or not the Young Wolf actually has some of these exotics because they have not received them in an exotic quest (Sweet Business, Cloudstrike, Wardcliff Coil, etc). Ultimately it’s up to you as a player or creator whether or not your Young Wolf or other OC has one of these weapons.
