Our pets are so hilarious, my mom had surgery to remove a melanoma (sucessful) and she just got home with instructions to keep the sutures clean, after a week in the hospital and our pets are aware that she is hurt and VERY distraught about it.

So every day when I'm changing the gauze, I have to lock the dog and the cats in my room to change her in peace, because they are furry have no opposable thumbs but they DESPERATELY want to help! And I am, ofc, public enemy number one because they can hear mom letting out sounds of pain when the micropore bands are being peeled off (think bandaids but 10x stronger), and they interpret it as me torturing her. THEY would obviously do a much better job of taking care of the head of the pack/colony, and I am clearly evil for not letting them lick her wounds.

It's as inconvenient as it is hilarious.
