Reflections on: Silver Bullet (1985)

This has a bunch of notable male actors: Gary Busey, Corey Haim, Terry O’Quinn, Everett McGill.

This was based on a Stephen King novelette, which I just learned is shorter than a novella. Correspondingly a mininovel is smaller than a novelette but bigger than a micronovel. 

This is narrated by the main character’s sister when she’s older - sort of feels like an alternate reality supernatural version of Stand By Me (1986).

Gary Busey plays a wacky dirtbag uncle who thinks it’s a good idea to give his 12-year-old nephew a bag of fireworks to explode in the woods by himself and makes suped-up hotrod “wheelchairs” for him to drive.

A woman in a swamp asks a man “You gonna make lemonade in your pants?” 

Good lens flares. 

The main character’s house seems totally normal except for the fact that they have a chartreuse coloured stairway with deep crimson carpet. 

Overall this was pretty good!

Los mismos creadores de la obra El BÚNKER, premiada en la Micronovel y en el Creajoven 2016, nos traen LA ÚLTIMA CENA, una obra para Microteatro emotiva que intenta transformar la historia con una sutileza casi imperceptible.

Luego del ferviente llamado que hiciera Leonardo Da Vinci a sus modelos para comenzar a pintar “La Última Cena” (Milán, 1495), en el Convento Dominico de Santa María delle Grazie, llega el mismísimo Jesús de Nazaret acompañado de María Magdalena. Pareciera que se detiene el tiempo y se reciclan los sucesos. Jesús, en una de sus prédicas comenta que uno de sus discípulos lo traicionará. María Magdalena, indignada, irrumpe para evitarlo. Él intenta explicarle que no es posible cambiar el destino. Todo está escrito por su Padre, incluso su propia muerte. Para María es difícil aceptarlo y desde su amor enfrenta a Dios con todas sus fuerzas…
