I was able to get up to Halmich Park this morning for sunrise. It was brisk but it was worth it. There was a lot of cloud cover so I didn't get any shots of the sunrise but I was able to get this amazing shot of the tennis courts.

Talk about an incredible night of shooting. I went out to the Big Sable Lighthouse last night and all I can say is WOW. Such an incredible lighthouse to see....especially on your birthday.... :) Left yesterday about 10am, drove the 7 plus hours to get there, shot for about 8 hours then drove 7 hours back home. I have to say though...it was 100% worth it! All the what-if's, all the if-only's, all the screaming and yelling and expressing after the fact can't change the what is, reality, the here and now. We hurt people and they hurt us. Humans are sadistic bastards like that. The ones closest to us hurt us the most, and vice versa. Sitting around waiting for resolution and atonement from others is a waste of your personal energy and emotional health. Use that energy in better ways to atone for your own faults and be a better person going forward. The past is gone, to use one of my dad's sayings, like a fart in the wind.

On a side note, thank you to @dkct25 for turning me to this book from his Tumblr. It helped me at a time when I really needed some guidance.
