I love Ronja Räubertochter and Michel aus Lönneberga from Astrid Lindgren ♡

She was a big part of my childhood, I used to sit in front of an old tv on sunday mornings and watch Michel aus Lönneberga, all of his pranks and how he ran into the shed to hide from his dad and made all those little wooden figurines, it was peak comedy for me.

My german grandparents also had a bunch of other books from Astrid Lindgren that were so aesthetic and beautiful and I loved to read them ♡

and no i didn't really think of a specific movie when i wrote it because i wanted to keep it open (kind of). but i really love how corny christmas movies can be, hehe. 🤭

even though i love typical christmas movies, i watch these same few movies every year. they are not really christmas related all the time, but they are a tradition in our family aaand i'm sure you know a few:

i was today years old when i found out that Michel aus Lönneberga is actually called Emil (and that it was changed to Michel in German bc there is another famous children's book character called Emil)

1 - who is/are your comfort character(s)?

Honestly pretty much any cevans character 😂 Steve, Ari, and Ransom in particular but they are all very dear to me! Johnny & Jake are also favs!

Jake 'Hangman' Seresin from Top Gun Maverick got me pretty hard too

The Shelby's from Peaky Blinders (that will forever be one of my comfort shows. At least S1-3, everything past S4 I pretend doesn't exist)

21 - something you’ve kept since childhood?

Funnily I've got quite a lot of things still from my childhood. Lots of plushies, some old toys, and books.

I have my first ever plushie still, which was part of my baby mobile. Apparently, I was so enamored with it that I tried to rip it down. I'm not sure if I managed to or my parents cut it down but that thing (and its identical successor) have been with me since pretty much the day I came home. I still got them, even if they don't look as good as they did when they were brand new

41 - how do you take your coffee?

I don't 😂 If I would, I would drink my sugar and milk with a splash of coffee. I'm serious. Half the cup would need to be a mixture of milk and sugar for me to be able to drink. I don't enjoy the bitter taste and the caffeine does exactly 0 for me.

I prefer to drink tea.

46 - favorite holiday film?

I don't think I have an actual holiday movie that's my favorite. For Christmas I do have some as part of a tradition but I don't think they count as holiday movies:

Michel aus Lönneberga (which is technically a tv series) &

Sissi (1955, 1956 & 1957) with Romy Schneider and Karlheinz Böhm

They always play on tv around midday on the 24th, my mother adores the movies and so we always watch them at christmas
