Micheal Rooker doesn’t get anywhere near enough credit for his acting in that rocket call-out scene in Guardians vol.2.

The way it starts with Yondu calling out rocket on his bs in his tough guy bravado way, but as he continues and he mentions the hurt he went through, being sold into slavery as a child by his own parents, comparing it to how rocket was treated by the scientists who made him, we start see this small look of pain in Yondu’s eyes.

And then when he finally says “I know what you are, boy! Because you’re me!”, his hard scowl fades into this look of pain and hurt. The roughness is still there, but his pain and sadness shine through in those eyes. It’s just… fuck man.

A Heart in the Fast Lane.. (pt 2)

Briella was getting ready to do a piece for the upcoming race, she hadn’t done interviews on the racers for a while... Today was special, because first one up was Rowdy. The last time she saw the man was before she left to college, he probably won’t recognize her.. much less remember her.

However, She didn’t have time to think.. she was sitting in the conference room waiting for Rowdy, her tape recorder, pen and pad in front of her.  A second later, she heard the doors open and stood up.. through it, stepped a sight that still left her breathless.. Rowdy looked at if he’d been drinking from the fountain of youth, age can be seen on his face.. but no more then his late 30s.. the same thick brown curls, handsome jaw line. A body that still filled out his racing suit, completely and beautifully..

When he finally looked up at her, his already gorgeous smile was brighter then the sun. “Bri? Briella?” Rowdy couldn’t believe eyes, Briella Easton was a complete dream..  she certainly was not a little girl anymore, she was Andy’s same height, cocoa brown hair in thick, silky locks, sun kissed skin but still creamy soft, honey hazel eyes topped with sassy thick lashes, doll like face, and rose pink lips he wouldn’t mind taking the time to taste.. “God almighty, she grew up gorgeous” he thinks, still beaming..

“Yes Rowdy, it’s me..  just not so little anymore.” She giggles, blushing madly.. trying to compose herself in front of the object of her life long affection and desire..

“You’re the one who hasn’t changed one bit” She said winking..

Rowdy looks her up and down smirking.. “Awww, hell girl.. I stop being much to look at long ago, but you... you’re every man’s dream. I mean that in every sense of the word” His sky blue eyes sparkle at her, he winks..

“It’s so good to see you, Rowdy” She reaches up on tip toe and wraps him up in a hug, Rowdy’s powerful arms complete the embrace.. She feels him squeeze her softly, she purs in delight.. Rowdy slowly lets go, hands softly leaving her waist.. He steps back, chuckling at the pink on her cheeks.. 

Briella clears her throat, going into journalist mode.. “Let’s get started, huh? 

Rowdy smiles a sly cat grin.. “Absolutely”
