Like, at this point I don't just want Trump to lose, I want so many people to vote blue that we demoralize him, I want us to crush him, I want him to lose embarrassingly badly, I want him to feel so stupid and shamed he never comes back, I want him to be a laughingstock forever

🔮 Manifesting a Blue Election Tomorrow 🔮
Red White and Royal Blue for obvious reasons
A compass for some direction for this country for once
A crystal ball and runes for foresight
Black Salt for warding negative enegries
The Wheel of Fortune card for life cycles, luck, and turning points
The Queen of Swords card for intellect, wisdom, and judgment
The Queen of Pentacles for a down-to-earth, mature, and nurturing woman
but remember in order to manifest we still need to Act! And we only have one day left to do so! If you are a US citizen and you have not already voted, you can look up your polling location and hours HERE
like to charge, reblog to cast

This is sort of like the hurricane thing.
Femme named hurricanes tend to cause more damage than similar strength Masc named storms. Because, on average, people and information outlets take the Femme sounding storms less serious. Despite being shockingly similar. So less precautions are taken, less evaluations ordered, less buildings boarded up.
Even nature has a gender pay gap.
Adhd in women wasn't studied until 2017.
Period products have not ever been tested with blood.
Medicine is tested on and dosed for the average white man.
We don't know how dangerous things are in pregnancy because we can't ethically test pregnant people AND women's (or people with uteruses) bodies aren't studied.
So yeah. Entirely reasonable to me that no one predicted this would be a huge issue because women's issues are largely ignored. Despite the fact that we are more than half the population. That we are on average better educated than men of our generations. That we are paid less and work more. That any social movement has women to thank for being the backbone of it.
But sure. Assume the economy is the biggest issue.
I'm going to vote for the one who's plan is to strengthen the middle class, not tax them until there isn't a middle class any longer. And who would have thought, the candidate with the better plan for the economy also is commited to reproductive freedom.
really starting to look like election media had no idea how to fully account for the post-dobbs environment, even after anger at the fall of roe v wade spurred unpredicted dem success in 2022
what we're seeing in late-breaking polls, interviews, analysis, and the (anecdotal) experiences of many, many canvassers is that abortion is the issue that's drawing women from across the aisle to vote harris
right-wing men are commentating the shock iowa poll (that showed senior women going for harris 2:1) with "what, we're supposed to believe that's all over abortion??" like they really do not understand why it would matter so much. but tbh even if you read left-leaning news you'd get the impression a lot of writers and pollsters think it's an interesting aside worth a throwaway mention
not to be Annoying re: oversimplified gender politics but like. it really seems like The (Cis) Men Don't Get It. when roe fell, pundits (and randos) kept repeating that nobody wanted a total abortion ban! of course there will be exceptions for rape or incest! when fully HALF of the states with abortion limits do not make these exceptions. when women die about it and will continue to do so. when we're seeing travel bans, restricting women's domestic travel if they plan to get an abortion somewhere legal...which is a mind-blowing infringement on women's freedom of movement that would have been inconceivable three years ago. data brokers are selling info on who visits clinics across state lines
shockingly, this is a big deal! older women in the US especially remember when dangerous illegal abortions were their only option and they fought aggressively to change that!
WHITE WOMEN might break for harris. they haven't broken dem since 1996. and pundits still go "well, it won't be as influential on the election as the economy" lmao

I'm sorry, but I'm just too fucking old to pretend that the presidential ticket of "Person who performed some of the first gay marriages in her state while it was still federally illegal" and "governor who created a trans refuge state while other states were making it illegal to transition" is somehow 'jUsT aS bAd foR QuEer pEopLe' as the ticket promising to reverse marriage equality and make trans healthcare next to impossible.
That is such a monumentally stupid opinion that I'm going to have a hard time believing that you're actually that stupid, and I'll probably just assume you're malicious.

I've had multiple ovarian cysts rupture. It's the key reason I'm on hormonal birthcontrol. (No egg release means no potential for cyst generation).
It's about 45 minutes of the most intense pain in the abdomen. Nothing makes the pain go away. A heating pad helps. Then it slowly starts decreasing. Followed by 24-72 hours of feeling uncomfortable as all the fluid gets absorbed.
I've passed gallstones. I've given birth. Ovarian cysts rupturing is the most painful thing I've ever gone through. I even went to the ER after one when I was 18/19. They did nothing, assumed I had a UTI.
i don't think we talk about ovarian cysts nearly enough.
ovarian cysts are sacs of fluid that form on the ovary. typically, they are harmless and are even common; many people develop them without knowing as they go away on their own under normal circumstances. but, for some, they don't go away - they can even rupture. these cysts can grow and grow and grow, causing all sorts of problems like extreme pain and surgical removal. when they burst, they can cause internal bleeding enough for a visit to the E.R.
as someone with PCOS - and just had one rupture - cysts are real and potentially dangerous. period and reproductive pain is real and serious. if you experience severe pain during your period or at any time around your reproductive organ area, please seek medical care. here are some resources about ovarian cysts and the issues they can cause.
please please please believe those in your life who experience these things, we are not doing it for attention.
