So, I've been gone

I've been gone for a hot ass minute but I am back! As to where I went...

I had to put a lot more focus on college to finish, since the semester was ramping up and taking more of my attention away from social media and my own projects.

I graduated in December with a BA in Studio Art

On the same day as the ceremony, I also got engaged to my partner of 4 years <3

I am also starting a new job soon, as well as looking for a career out where my partner lives and preparing to move.

Plus also a lot of the art I have been making during that time was not appropriate to post here lol

I will still post art and stuff, but will probably be slower and be more sketchy

Something a bit different from my usual posts.

As part of a personal challenge I’ve decided to try and draw as many Folkloric/Mythological Creatures and Cryptids as I can; mainly because I’ve loved Mythology and Cryptozoology since I was a kid. I also want to try and sell these designs as prints or stickers once I create enough.

First off, we have the Amikuk, a creature from the Yup’ik Peoples of Alaska. You can read more about it here:

The face is based off of a couple of Yup’ik masks that supposedly depict it, and the body is a mix between a Leopard Seal, Narwhal, and Beluga Whale.
