Between the fact that in Sand Vila says, "If I died it'd be a real joke, who'd care....who cared about Cally...", what happened in Orbit, & his outburst in Warlord, whether intentionally or otherwise it really comes off as hinting that Vila was just thoroughly & utterly done with this shit in Series 4, really wish there was a story exploring that.

Also, in case you didn't know, the impetus for City at the Edge of the World was Michael Keating's daughter watching Vila on TV & going "Daddy, you're stupid!", prompting Keating to ask for an episode where Vila got to be the hero.

Yes. Poor Vila is so done and I wish it got taken more seriously at times. I wish we'd gotten more of his and Gan's friendship too and him mourning him, especially since it was the beginning of the end for the crew. Cally's death should've gotten more attention too...

The daughter story...😅.Glad it got us "The City on the Edge of the World" though, it's one of my favorites.
