Michael is so determined to be in control all the time. I think he needs someone chaotic to totally mess things up for him so he can see that it's okay. Like, he's so lost in chasing after honor and power that he's seriously losing grip. I can just see him laying in his bed at night seething and worrying and not being able to sleep, getting up to pace around thinking about who he's going to take out next to maintain the family name.

Can't do that if Santi's riding him all night hehehehehe!!

Maybe they go out for midnight walks sometimes when they're both stressed about work and end up making love under the moon in a park somewhere. And by making love, I do mean Santino hits him and calls him filthy names until he starts confessing how much he regrets the things he's done and finally lets himself cry. Michael tends to get kinda frenzied with catharsis at that point and keeps begging to be hit more but Santino won't let him go too far. No matter what, once he breaks down, the game is over and Santino just holds him and takes care of him. "You know what Mikey? You're beautiful like this. Don't hate yourself, yeah?" And then kisses him softly and they talk about their fears and trauma while holding each other until the night wind gets too cold.

Cole is this type of guy to have silly but meaningful Halloween costumes for both of you. Most of the time the costumes look like they had been picked out at the last minute but for two of you, they have a deeper meaning. At every Halloween party, you would have a costume related to a cartoon that you’ve been obsessed with and become a guilty pleasure movie for you. Example? You would wear Woody and Jessie costumes because in past months, Toy Story was your movie that two of you would watch when one of you had a bad day and needed a laugh. 

A. FANTILLI

You and Adam are huge movie fans. Every day that he’s at home, you need to end up with a movie. Halloween costumes would be based on the genre of movies you’re currently watching. It’s a fun time for both of you so you don’t care if you look silly or not, it’s all about having joy from this day. Example? You would dress up as Mr & Mrs Corleone because for the past month you two had been obsessed with The Godfather trilogy to this point that you would read a novel on which the movie is based.

You and Nico love Peaky Blinders so obviously two of you had to pick costumes based on this tv show. At first, it was supposed to be an inspiration, more like the aesthetic of those years where the action is based. Later Nico proposed to dress up as Tommy and Grace. He wanted both of you to be main characters from the tv show at the party. You came up with an even better idea. You suggested it to be Michael and Gina because they lived in the US and not in England like the rest of the characters. Nico without a doubt agreed on this.

You and Jack love Halloween and dressing up. Each year you impatiently wait for the party to pick a costume because you two always have plenty of ideas what to wear. Each year you also have arguments over what to pick because you have troubles with deciding. Jack prefers this but you prefer that. Although now, for the first time, you two knew that you wanted to dress up as Joker and Harley Quinn.

Since you were a kid, you have loved Corpse Bride. Your dream was to dress up as Victor and Emily but you never had a good opportunity for this because the costumes you wore in the past were group costumes. Now, you convinced Luke to go dressed up as them, especially when you tried to tell him that he looks similar to Victor. He didn’t see it but seeing you all cheerful and talkative about this movie… He couldn’t say no to you.

For Quinn, Halloween party would be the one time of the year when he can finally have a fun night and stop thinking about hockey. You would be the brain of the operation what to wear but he will gladly give you ideas. It’s always a costume of characters that two of you had to know. You would never pick something that Quinn is not familiar with. Example? You proposed to dress up as characters from Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. It was a childhood movie for both of you and he was happy at the idea. Quinn would wear a Willy Wonka costume when you would be an Oompa Loompa. 

C. KELLER

Clayton didn’t care about the Halloween party but he saw the excitement in your eyes and wanted to play along with you. He didn’t bother you and let you pick whatever you wanted. Your head was spiralling with ideas but knowing that he doesn’t feel the joy of the holiday, you wanted to keep it simple and classic for him. You decided to dress up as the main characters from The Bear which was the tv show you’ve been watching lately. Clayton was happy with this because he didn’t have to dress up in anything crazy.

Since the last Halloween party, you know what you want to wear next year. Whole year you were trying to convince John to agree to this costume. Every year he was telling you that he’s not gonna do it again but the truth was that for you, he would do anything. This costume wasn't special for him because it required only a suit from him and you bought him with that because he wasn't a big guy of dressing up. You two dressed up as Morticia and Gomez Addams.

Matt was out of ideas for the Halloween party but you knew that you two needed to use the height difference. You didn’t have any plans until both of you watched Monsters, Inc. When you saw Sulley and Wazowski, you knew that these are perfect costumes. You told this to Matt and he completely fell in love with the idea and you two decided to make it happen. Of course!! ❤️ Honestly, we could use more kindness and love in this fandom. I joined it in 2021 and it was... a hellscape. I think many of the shittier people left it a long time ago or simply got bored and were just rampaging trolls at the time, but it was very toxic here back in those days. 👀

I remember when I was maybe ~10 chapters in Moth to Flame and posting on here that I got an ask from a sweet anon who claimed I was "the best" fic writer when it came to Michael Corleone fics. Their ask also said that I was better at writing than the other Michael Corleone fic writers. I didn't honestly react or say anything to that second half, I was just so overwhelmed (in a GOOD way) about the nature of the ask and the fact someone liked my fic SO much. Anyways, then came the hating ass anons into my inbox and the subposting on the "Michael Corleone x Reader" tag. That ask got under so many people's skin (if the shoe fits, I guess) that I was getting "you're NOT the "BEST" okay... Everyone who writes Michael Corleone x Reader is amazing". All of a sudden this hostility and toxicity began to flood into my inbox. I even got some death threats and straight up harassment. This was pretty consistent for almost an entire year.

A lot of my friends left the fandom and stopped interacting with it completely. Two of them deactivated their Tumblr accounts because of the toxic mess the fandom became. ☹️

Honestly, I never ever claimed to be "the best" or "better" than anyone, but as I stood up for myself more and more and defended my talent, people shit on me even more. I refused, and I still REFUSE to tone down my talent and "humble" myself so some insecure fic writer can feel better about themselves. It was and is not my job to baby other writers. If the projection is so hard that they feel the need to harass me online over how popular my work is getting, y'all have to touch grass and seek professional help. It was ridiculous. I was getting shit on for having talent. 💀

In reality, I'm not this evil, narcissistic fic writer who thinks I'm better than everyone. 😂 I've always encouraged my inspired fans and readers to write their own fics, provided writing help/tips, and dived deep into fun headcanons that they wanted me to sprinkle into my fics. There's already so much bad out there in fandoms, especially the misogynistic side of The Godfather fandom which is still brewing... I refuse to be a part of the negativity but I also refuse to entertain it or accept it.

Now I very much feel so grandfathered into the fandom that I'm like Vito just sitting at his desk and my beloved mutuals and followers approach me for my thoughts and fics 🥺💖

A few Tom Hagen headcanons

1) Tom is not an animal guy. He can appreciate that they're often beautiful or sometimes cute but they're too unpredictable and messy for Tom who is anxious, sensitive and something of a neat freak.(Look at the way he so tentatively reaches out to touch Khartoum, as though he's scared of the horse.)

2) Tom has assimilated so much into the Sicilian culture of the family who adopted him that he doesn't quite fit into either the Corleone's world or the outside world. He's fluent in Sicilian, has an Italian wife, uses Italian hand gestures and(in the book) he even has Italian facial expressions. He doesn't have Sicilian blood though so he'll never be fully accepted by the family and the other mobsters, but he's so Italian in every other respect that he seems odd to non-Italians. They find him a little unsettling and strange and because of this he was largely excluded from drinks and other after work events, when he was working for the top law firms Vito got him into. He'll always walk between two worlds.

3) Tom secretly loves dancing with Theresa. It's one of the things he enjoys most, though never in front of the family it's one of the few times you seem him drop that business like exterior.(Blame Robert Duvall for this, The man is completely obsessed with dancing)

(4) Tom is a stress eater. He eats more when anxious, also as an excuse to avoid talking during tense situations, and no one makes him more anxious than his brothers. (Watch in the Chinese food scene, he's the most anxious of all of them, and he crams his mouth with food, partly from anxiety and partly to stop him from expressing his fears for Michael.

5) Tom is permanently exhausted as he works so much(Go read the book, the man does just about every job you can possibly imagine) and on the rare occasions he gets to relax he just melts into the chair or drapes himself over the nearest last object. It's one of the few sloppy things the almost impeccably neat Tom does.(Look at him when he sits in a chair, he slumps into it and he's always got his feet up, like he doesn't have the energy to sit upright)

6) Tom considers his loyalty to be one of his biggest strengths but he secretly knows that it's also one of his biggest weaknesses. That he's participated in some way, in so many unspeakable crimes because he is so loyal. He's more grateful than he can ever express to Sonny and Vito for saving him from a lonely death as a child and so terrified of finding himself unwanted, unloved and back in the gutter that he'll do almost anything to avoid losing his family and the status he now holds. He rarely allows himself to think about the crimes the family commits, and he feels guilty when he does, but he's not nearly as ashamed as he knows he should be.
