Transformers the movie was released on August 8, 1986. Originally, G.I. Joe the movie was meant to be released first but was pushed back. Blowback from the Death of Optimus Prime (Peter Cullin) caused the producers to change the planned death of Duke (Michael Bell) in the G.I. Joe movie. Also, the commercial failure of the movie also down graded The G.I. Joe movie to straight to video/TV release. The movie was the final theatric roles of Orson Welles and Scatman Crothers. The human character Spike (Corey Burton) swore in the movie because they wanted a PG rating (The G.I. Joe movie had originally planned a scene of brief topless nudity to get their PG rating, but that was dropped somewhere in production). Seasons 1 and 2 were supposed to take place in the present, but the movie and season 3 were pushed forward 20 years in time to the year 2005. The movie not just killed off Optimus Prime, but also Ironhide (Cullen), Ratchet, Prowl (Michael Bell), Brawn (Burton), Wheeljack, Windcharger, Megatron (Frank Welker), Starscream (Christopher Collins/Chris Latta), Skywarp, Thundercracker, Shrapnel (Hal Rayle), Kickback (Clive Revill), Bombshell and (off screen) Huffer. The movie introduced Unicron (Welles), Galvatron (Leonard Nimoy), Arcee (Susan Blu), Ultra Magnus (Robert Stack), Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime (Judd Nelson), Springer (Neil Ross), Kup (Lionel Stander), Blurr (John Moschitta Jr), Wheelie, Cyclonus (Roger C Carmel), Scourge (Stan Jones), Kranix (Norman Alden), Arblus, Daniel Witwicky (David Mendenhall), the Lithones, the Shrikebats, the Sharkticons, the Quintessons, the Allicons, (the Mini-Cassettes) Eject, Rewind, (the Junkions) Wreck-Gar (Eric Idle), Junkyard, Scrapheap, Re-Cycle, Rubbish, Hazmat, Ashtray, Greasestain, Wasteoid Gamma, and Trashbin. The movie also included Astrotrain (Jack Angel), Scrapper, Swoop (both by Bell), Grimlock (Gregg Berger), Devastator (Arthur Burghardt), Shockwave (Burton), Jazz (Cruthers), Dirge (Bud Davis), Perceptor (Paul Eiding), Blitzwing (Ed Gilbert), Bumblebee (Dan Gilvezan), Blaster (Buster Jones), Cliffjumper (Casey Kasem), Laserbeak (Latta), Scavenger (Don Messick), Bonecrusher, Hook, Slag (all Ross), Soundwave, Rumble, Frenzy, and Ravage (all Welker). Leonard Nimoy would return to the Transformers franchise in the live action reboot as the voice of Sentinel Prime in Transformer's Dark of the Moon. The sound track was very eclectic including the iconic "The Touch" by Stan Bush and "Dare to Be Stupid" by Weird Al Yankovic. The score was by Rocky IV composer Vince DiCola. While it underperformed and was controversial upon its release, the movie has since gone on to be a cult classic. ("Transformers: The Movie", Movie, Event)
I’m literally the worst person to remember to update all my fanfics here too, but chapters 5-7 of my NCIS fanfic The Oceans We Cross are up!! 🥹
It is still a work in progress at the moment, but I’m taking a little break while I focus on #30DaysOfTiva in July!! (Post on that coming immediately after this one!)
But, if you’d like to read the next installments of this multi-chapter fic, you can find it here:
Obviously you should see Oppenheimer for Cillian Murphy & RDJ’s performances but may I present to you some of the rest of the supporting cast…I’d say there’s lots of reasons to go see it.
My friend loves Michael Shannon, so I decided to make a compilation of his funniest clips. He's really just a big ole goofball, on top of being such a talented and versatile actor.
Since his quick visits to the palace only involved taking care of urgent matters and paperwork, personal communication with both Alden and himself had been quite limited. Sebastian had entrusted the stability and oversight of the kingdom to Alden and his sister, and he was extremely grateful to the witch for their support in this regard. Feeling ill-prepared, Sebastian needed some time to regroup. He decided to reside in the cottage that he had renovated, allowing him to embrace the simple life he once had and contemplate the possibilities of his future as king. Throughout this time, Alden had proven to be a loyal confidant and the perfect second-in-command, a decision Sebastian would make over and over again.
"So, how are you?" Sebastian asked as they strolled through the palace grounds. "I hope your family is doing well and that you enjoyed your honeymoon." Sebastian didn't want to disrupt Alden's time with his beloved after such a quick return, and was thankful for Aila's support during Alden's absence. "Any progress in the search for your grandfather?"
Loved your answer for my last ask. Here's another one though lol
How would everybody react to the MC getting shot by someone and they think they're dead now but out of nowhere the shooter gets shot dead by the MC on the ground and it turns out it only hit the MC's shoulder?
im starting to think youve managed to get ahold of my notes or something 👀. Keeping it vague like last time and kinda not answer the prompt☝
Aster: The tears streaming down their face have left them practically blind. All they can focus on is the feeling of blood on their hands. Hot and sticky blood. The feeling leaves them on the brink of panic, regretting not paying any attention to the few first aid lessons that they were taught. Aster knows that they're not going to lose their Star tonight, but the fact that they're here and hurting almost drives them to madness. They swear to everything that even has the chance listening that they will never let this happen again.
Ro: They're frozen, they want to move but they cant bring themselves to do it. All they can focus on is the blood on Blessings shoulder. They can still hear the sound of the gun going off. For a moment, all they can think of is their Father and how painful his last moments were, and how Ro could do nothing to help him in that moment. This time they can help. This realization sets them into motion and they rush over to Blessing to begin their assessment of the wound. Ro will not let another one of their family suffer, not as long as theyre still here and breathing.
Jesse: The wave of relief that flows through his body is enough to knock him to his knees. He thought he lost his Blessing, his purpose, his everything. It was only for a moment but that moment was long enough for him to realize that he'll never be able to handle that pain. He'll burn the world to the ground before he ever has experience anything like it again.
Harrison: The burning rage that flows through his veins still has control of his mind. Even after the shooter is on the ground dead he cant stop himself from firing three more shots into the body. When Harrison turns to look at Blessing the fire in him begins to dim. He so badly wants to be angry, to yell at them for being an idiot and getting themselves shot, but he cant. All he can bring himself to do is kneel next to them and brush the hair out of their face, releasing a small sigh and finally letting the rage die out.
