Okay, that's a fun question. I could see Jules growing up with stuff like Patsy Cline and José Alfredo Jiménez, then rejecting all that for emo and alt stuff as a teen, and now coming into his own with a healthy balance of both country crooners, dark folk, and gothy club stuff. I'd like to think Jules and Mica support the local bands!

I do, lol, have a playlist I made while working on developing the character and drawing the shorts. Basically just vibes for me to work to, but maybe some of it is diegetic 💚⚡✨

i rarely have the first stanza of a song as my favorite but for this one it's so evocative that it makes me go feral everytime.

burn the witch is such a dear song to me, essentially it criticises the way people tend to pick a scapegoat in social settings to treat as a pariah and how no one really stands up against the crowd or questions the status quo because that could make you the next 'witch' to 'burn'. im absolutely fond of the mocking tone the song keeps all throughout the lyrics, cutting at those who partake in the act and seem to find comfort in how much easier it is to go with the flow rather than stand up for what's right.

im not sure what it is about these lyrics specifically that i love so much, but i look forward to them most when im playing the song and thats enough for me to consider them my favorite!

Hi hello! Thank you for the ask, and this much harder than I thought haha, but here goes!

A song you liked as a child

I was recently in a car with my brother for several hours, so I made a 7 hour playlist with songs I knew we could both sing along to, and I was reminded of how much I love this one. My parents were heavily involved in the swedish prog rock scene in the 70s and 80s, so this one really sounds like my childhood.

7. A song you know every word to

I want to mention so many songs, but in this very moment I have to say Mr Apollo because I used to sing along to this as a kid without understanding half the words and I only recently looked up the lyrics and realised that they say "greatest benefactor of mankind", and not "greatest man and actor of all time". Anyway, I've been slightly obsessed with the old Bonzo Dog Band lately and I've been singing along to Mr Apollo on the daily for a couple of weeks. And I can now for certain say that I know every single word of it.

Under the skin was a difficult film that I didn't enjoy much at all, but I love the soundtrack and especially this track, so we're going with it!
