Does Miara know what a condom is? Definitely. Does she acknowledge the existence of such? Not really.

Although the rational part of her is forced to acknowledge contraceptives -The word alone is sickly to her- can be beneficial, she openly dislikes them and wants nothing to do with such products, nor will she willingly facilitate the possession of such. You're not prohibited from using condoms if you live under her care, but the siadar is in no way interested in helping you receive some.

Some angels, purely by virtue of interacting with the residents of the island, have come to understand and get their hands on condoms, though most of them believe that Miara's distaste for them is justified. It must be. She knows better. Jonesy fits into this category. He has no love for condoms.

But the allure of getting to cum inside you while still respecting Mother's rule? It just sounds too good to pass up.

He consulted the siadar about this, naturally. Miara made a face of open revulsion, something that cut deeply into Jonesy's confidence, like a steaming knife through butter. But her mercy is endless, and the higher allowed it.

It's safe to say it took a long while before Jonesy was even able to think of putting his plan into motion without getting palpitations.

There was also the conundrum of knowing what type of condom he should get. Jonesy was floored by the amount of variety. Let alone the ones that claimed to have flavors and tingling effects- He had to procure something that could handle the size of a monster like him, a celestial. There were condoms made for very specific shapes, even ones accounting for the existence of barbs or extreme secretions. He could barely fathom the magic put onto condoms made to have sex with monsters of vastly different body temperatures...

There was no hiding his flustered tension throughout the mortifying ordeal of purchasing contraceptives. People stared at him through the entire process, likely due to the fact that he couldn't keep his voice level and snapped far too quickly at the smallest semblance of judgement.

It was worth it, it was all worth it- All that time wasting a handful of the things trying to place them on his shaft correctly, he did it so you could both experience such a moment!

He was ready and so hopeful that the size was correct, that he wouldn't just burst through it or make it tear-

The other Abidan must absolutely hate the Reapers not necessarily because of issues with what their job is but because like. Will said that people who ascend from Cradle tend to be tougher than the average recruit, so like imagine you're a random Wolf and you've spent the last few months getting your ass kicked by a newly ascended Akura Fury. Then suddenly not one, not two but three Monarchs from Cradle roll up who are as strong if not stronger than Fury. And know that if you ever end up sparring with them the fucking Reaper is going to be standing on the sidelines cheering like a soccer mom. I would not want to deal with them.
