Needing a monster stories 3 that continues with the characters from the first stories game.

You, the rider from the first game, running into all your old friends Avinia, Cheval, Roverto, Lilia, and Navirou. Reminiscing on old memories and going on new adventures.

I just really enjoyed seeing all the characters from stories 1 all grown up in stories 2 and I want more of them. I think that would be a neat idea if they ever make a stories 3.

I would also accept a continuation of the stories 2 story line.

I absolutely adore the first and second monster hunter stories games! Replaying the first one on the switch has reignited my passions for the monster designs and my own ocs I made for them a few years back.

"she was so full of rage in mhs1 bc she lost her mother to a monster and started pushing everyone away until she was all alone so she became very out of touch with herself as she focused solely on one goal (revenge) and i headcanon that after the real her is finally found again and shes able to figure out what type of rider she wants to be she starts to like herself a little more bc shes surrounded by friends again that support her and is finally able to be more true to herself. i dont think shes openly transgender in mhs2 but i do think shes out to lilia at least. she just seems so much freer and has let go of her past. also i think her and lilia do lesbianisms together in mhs2 which is fine" - Anonymous

I think it'd be neat if like... some time after the events of the main story of MHS2, the Reader joined the Hunter's Guild, like maybe the Fifth Fleet in MH World, to become an ecological researcher like specializing in monsters, their behavior, and their place in the environment. I know that I really liked traveling around the maps and watching the unique interactions would have with each other and the world around them. Also it'd be fun to see a rider join the guild that's primarily only had hunters.

I'd like to know what the boys would think of it.

The Boys (Kyle, Reverto, Cheval, and Alwin) React to the Rider Joining the Hunter’s Guild

Kyle

-Kyle would be shocked for sure. You seemingly had no interest in joining any Guild whether it be with hunters or riders. But again, you’ve surprised him with actions like this before, so he shouldn’t be too shocked. The New World has drawn him in as well. In fact, he becomes excited at the prospect of working with you like this. 

-The Guild would be in shock to receive a rider, but they see the benefits of it and are much more inclusive than Kyle expected. However, when Kyle and his family of hunters go to the New World, they are assigned with you to help with research. It’s exasperating because he wants to get things done and all you want to do is stare at every little piece of endemic life. This has led to squabbles that waste even more time.

Reverto

-Reverto would be ecstatic at the idea of getting to work more with you. In fact, he wouldn’t be shocked one bit that you joined the Hunter’s Guild. He knew that you would get to the New World one way or another. Plus, you wanted to help out and study any new life that was over there. But he keeps bringing up how there’s no way you’re qualified to be a researcher. You snap right back and say how he’s not qualified to be a hunter.

-The Guild was happy to welcome someone who can traverse over much more difficult terrain and aid in their investigations. However, you and Reverto together get into so much trouble. Since the Guild sometimes sends the researchers with the hunters, you guys are usually together. However, you get so distracted by both monsters and mushrooms. This usually leads to an angry monster telling you both to piss off, but it’s still tons of fun.

Cheval

-Cheval would be proud of the fact that you are making the world a bit bigger for riders. Back in the day, no rider would’ve dared tried to join the Hunter’s Guild, even if it’s as an ecological researcher. While he’s not a part of the Guild, Lilia manages to make him able to go to the New World as well or wherever you’re sent to research because you guys make a pretty good team. Heck, riders together do cover a lot more ground.

-You and him do actually get a lot done together. Cheval keeps you on track when you get distracted by anything new and cool. That said, he’s also the one who usually puts himself in danger when you’re geeking over a new flower or something. You turn around to find him all beat up and you are very confused to boot. Sometimes he gets annoyed, but Cheval knows he needs to expect this kind of behavior from you, especially as a researcher.

Alwin

-Alwin was actually thinking you would never be accepted into the Hunter’s Guild. It’s not that he didn’t believe in you, he does, but Alwin is an wyverian who has not been exposed to very much of the outside world. To him, riders are still very limited to do anything with hunters. That said, to see you expanding the possibilities for riders in the outside world is something that actually gets him very excited. Cue Alwin acting like a little kid, practically begging to join you on your research as added protection.

-The wyverian is excited to be with you on such an interesting investigation, but he is still extremely cautious. Whenever you find a new piece of flora or fauna, Alwin is using a ridiculous amount of worry that it could be dangerous. However, you tend to ignore him until a monster shows up to ruin the fun. The Guild thinks the two of you are a troublesome duo that take forever to get work done because he worries too much and you don’t worry enough.

hmmmm Cheval is my SCRUNKY and I fell in love (both ways) with him when I first saw him in mhs2 AND GOT OBSESSEDDDD THERE WAS LIKE NO CONTENT WHEN I GOTINTO MHS2222

I feel like he’d be a great partner, as he is very caring (mhs2) and Rathi is a cute little bonus 🥹 I’ve also read some stories, platonic and romantic (my way of playing with hyper fixations) 🤪🤪🤪🤪which has let me to the conclusion of ME HELPING HIM. I can fix him.

Okay now RIKA my wife. officially in a polycule wirb her and my hussy @nibwhipdragon my hyperfixation rn on her is CRAZZZYYYYYYYYYY i NEEDSD HER SO BAD.

This one was actually v close, and I’d say both of these characters will ALEAYS be special to me. Rika feels just like when I found Cheval and was like OMG. I WANT YOU IN MY MOUTH. I can always fall back into insert character phase at ANY time by the mention of their names. I’m normal.

Top 5 favourite video games

Spyro 2; Season of Flame -- simply out of nostalgic reasons. I played my GBA+SP a BUNCH as a kid and couldn't get enough of this game. I'll always prefer it over SoI/AotR. I love how the developers included holiday themed realms, like Christmas, Halloween, and even St. Patrick's Day! The Sunny Plains homeworld music is so pleasant and catchy to listen to.

The Legend of Zelda; A Link Between Worlds -- My first Zelda game that I've ever beaten, and the first game I bought while getting a 3DS for the first time. I love how they reused the world of ALttP, and implemented puzzles by using Ravio's bracelet. I loved Yuga as a villain, Princess Hilda, Ravio, and one of the cutest Zelda designs to date. It's just an overall charming game.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 -- I dove into so many hours in the original MHS back on the 3DS. I loved monster-taming games, but one where you fight alongside your monster and on top of all that, there are cats and dragons? Count me in. But I adore MHS2 just as much. We get to revisit old characters from the first game (Avinia, Cheval, Lillia, Reverto) and see how much they've grown as we're partnered with them. It's such an addictive game with a nice story. This is how the modern 3D Pokemon games should be, IMO.

Pokemon HeartGold & SoulSilver -- Would you look at that, ha. Another handheld title. I adore replaying these games over and over again. Gamefreak certainly nailed the atmosphere. The following Pokemon, the different sounds depending on what you step on - be it leaves, grass, cobblestone. It's the little touches. And Lyra. Oh, Lyra. I ADORE her design. It's probably my favorite. I remember when the games were first announced, a lot of fans of the franchise hated Lyra. They compared her entire outfit to Mario. But I loved her design, her personality, her character.

Kirby -- Kirby is pink, round, and makes me happy. I finally started playing Kirby games last year. I love colorful platformers. I can't believe it took me this long to finally play a Kirby game. They're so carefree and charming. I really wanted a Spyro-esque feel, and boy, do I get it with Kirby! (despite only playing Forgotten World and Return to Dreamworld Deluxe... still need to finish the latter!)

I did both, because how could I not? :3 I'll start with Cheval first:

My special guy who means so much to me ❤️ He's been a super awesome special fave of mine for So Long (around 8 years...) I literally cannot remember how I was before him. Though now that I think about it, I wouldn't be surprised if he's shaped my taste in characters! Very important character for me in many ways. Integral to my Everything. I wish we could've seen more of his slow descent in the anime than we did tbh. Some of the episodes were SO unnerving and distressing and they were SO good. I need more episodes focused on him in general. Give me more things to ponder about with him. I'm desperate Capcom Please

I know he's the "rival" of mhs1 but you don't actually see him a lot in the game. He's included in an arc of mhs2 but....yeah. Mhs2. I would love to see more character accurate Cheval stuff in the series. And the fandom has always been and is small but MAN I wish people would talk about him more. I can't carry this all myself man. Kyle's cool and all but...Cheval...

As for me not liking his popular ships. As said above the fandom is Small so there's not much there (I guess Chelute is a popular ship? Technically? Definitely who he's shipped with most from what I've seen). But the stuff I have seen I just haven't gelled with. Not for me I Do Not Likey a Lot. I am mildly partially inclined to Micheal and him being shipped (something that does exist apparently!), shrimply because of the Parallels and Dynamics. But overall I really can't see with him being with anyone ever

And for Hyunckel:

I don't got much to say about him sadly 💔 haven't seen enough of him yet and I haven't finished the show so I don't know if he gets any silly dynamics with anyone or anything like that. From what I have seen I really love Everything about him though. He reminded me of Cheval and that's why I love him as much as I do I think!

The squashing (derogatory) is only there in reference to my first impression where I Really Disliked him. Funny how stuff changes!
