Yall wanna know something funny about my All Might manga panel dress I'm working on? I originally submitted it to enter at the C2e2 Crown Championship of Cosplay competition in April.

My entry was rejected.

I didn't even get a chance to walk across the stage and compete with it.

I find it so funny looking back on it now because I'm a very firm believer in "everything happens for a reason" and the universe was screaming at me that it just wasn't time for me to compete with it yet.

Next I was going to enter it at Fanexpo in August but I dropped out last minute because it just wasn't done. I still had so many finishing touches to do and once again the universe was telling me to wait. It was a much smaller competition- C2e2 is international.

I'm pretty sure my entry was rejected because looking back I can think of so many things I should have done different on my entry form. It's a very complicated conceptual original design cosplay and now I know what I need to do to properly convey its concept for next year.

Being rejected also pushed me to do more. I added over 300 more hours of embroidery to the dress and had the idea to make some of the beads out of sunflowers- along with a couple other small ideas.

It still stings knowing that I was rejected but again, I believe deep down in my heart it was just meant to be debuted a little later and that this time the universe will be screaming at me cheering me on ❤️

And the whole thing took me close to 100 hours to finish!

I'm SO excited to see one of my favorite embroidery panels in the new episode! This one was intense because I wanted to stay true to Horikoshi's artstyle so all those little dots? Individually done french Terry knots 🙃 If you know what those are you should fear me and my dedication 😤

This is part of an insane cosplay I'm doing that features over 644 hours of hand embroidered panels of All Might from the mha manga. This piece specifically took my 70 hours 💛

Another mha manga panel embroidery! This one took me 31 hours 💖

Idk about yall but I was DEVASTATED they didn't animate this scene. Not giving us middle school Toshi is a crime 😭 There's a another flashback scene to this moment in a later chapter tho so I've got my fingers crossed that they're choosing to animate this scene then!

My panels do look slightly warped in these photos but that's because they're off the hoop and they'll eventually be attatched to a big fun ballgown skirt! ✨️
