Made this piece right after the MGSΔ announcement was made and i completly forgot to share it over there. So i guess it's never too late. I got reminded thanks to that new trailer we got this week DBFSUBDI The first images we got of Snake in that nasty water reminded me of Apocalypse now (one of my all time fav movie :v !) so of course i had to make a silly crossover. and also have this in a MGS3 PS2 version with that strong yellow filter on because i can never get tired of that piss colored game. This piece is kinda old now but i gotta post some stuff while waiting for the second issue of the MGS zine to be available for all so i can post more recent mgs art !! (plus the theme of this issue is mgsΔ so im hella hyped :3c !!) Anyway, i love drawing smoke/fog.. so i guess that's at least one thing that i love about this piece UEDGUKSGKFUD

Initially thought it was more just a current gen. thing, since minimalist UI seems to be popular these days. But didn't realize it was just a callback to the 3DS and trial versions of MGS3...

Idk why triangle bibo looks so off to me. He just doesn't look like Snake but I can't put my finger on why exactly.

Same. It looks great in isolation but I'm worried they're gonna downplay the game's more characterful aspect in favor of industry-standard realism

after watching the video of delta they just put out, i have really mixed feelings??? i guess??

i don’t know if it’s just that there’s no ui, but the super-super realistic graphics are sort of putting me off? obviously really good graphics are great, but one of the best things about the mgs series is that the graphics, even if they might not be the best (when you’re playing them now) really added to the atmosphere of it. like the barely there fog that you couldn’t escape and the shitty looking trees and clipping and everything else just made the game better? i feel like yeah! massive graphics upgrade! but also that the game might just lose a bit of itself in the middle of that.

I love how all the trailers for MGSΔ are trying to desperately hide the fact that 3 is the campiest and silliest game in the series.
