Is Pure the best thing to happen to BL since WinTeam? 

Probably. 

Okay, this is some new version of the word “comforting” that I for one can get behind 100%. 

Do I have to accept we have a rake redemption arc coming down the romance trope pipe line? 

Yes, I accept it. I don’t care anymore I just want to see playboy Pure go all dorky for the sweetheart boy who is totally not into him. 

Could we just have a spin off series with these two making a total hash of any kind of relationship yet still staying friends in that big epic messed up way we all had in college? 

Because I could sit on a couch for 17 hours and watch just that kind of drama. 

I love these characters so much. 

We haven’t seen anything like them before in Thai BL and they make me SO HAPPY. 

Where did this come from, My Gear and Your Gown? 

And why were you hiding them from us for 8 episodes?

mgyg has sO MUCH potential

it's not just a bl series. it's more like a slice of life drama. it dealt with important issues like mourning death and processing grief, like safe sex and destigmatizating HIV victims, like have a good circle of friends that are actually there for each other, like establishing healthy communication, especially within the family.

i want to see more of these things bcs im honestly over dramas that's only focused on internal conflict and romantic hurdles.

B U T

mgyg is too damn short... 12eps aren't enough to comprehensively cover all those stuff. maybe, with the usual 16eps, it'd would've been great and not just 'has the potential to be great'

also, the paCING... the pacing is so off because the plot fast-forward/time skip too fast in some eps and the passing of time weren't properly shown

all in all, i really enjoyed it. i enjoyed analysing it. and i realllllly like the friendships in the series.

Folk is already ruining Pure’s sex life with other people and they don’t even like each other yet. The power my sweet, naive child already holds.

I feel like there’s not enough time left in the show though to get through Pure and Folk’s storyline. Not when they still haven’t really started the Itt and Pai romance.

They could do a whole damn episode around Pure confessing his feelings and the two of them finally getting together, so I kind of wish there was going to be a Season 2 where they could flesh out the relationships more, especially since most of the novel takes place in university and not in the past like the show.
