I'm with you when she hasn't made it very visible at all on her sm about Gotham not even an inst story since Feb 2. Gotham sm maybe awful but Kristie hasn't really added much content herself like last year this time in NY/NJ. As far as her and Sam they are quieter towards each other outside of Kristie liking lots of Sam stuff and haven't posted as much so some anons are reacting to that I think just wait I'm sure they'll support each other.
I mean as far as Gotham goes I agree with you. As far as the her and Sam thing, there hasnt really been much content for Sam to even like tbh. It's not like she didn't like and comment on her personal post. It seems like they have both just been extremely busy and people are reading to much into it. Didn't Kerr comment on Sam Mewis IG post yesterday? Dont think she would do that if they were having issues😂

Our Second Chance (Kristie Mewis x reader)
Anon request: Can you write a Kristie Mewis imagine where R has a child from a previous relationship and is on the team to. Their at camp but R has to take her daughter or son (whatever one you choose) and it’s is Kristie 1st time meeting them and she is nervous.
A/N: So the timings are different to real life in this so that the story works better.
It had been over a year since you had been called up the to USWNT camp and this one would be the first one where you would be bringing Leo with you. Leo was your 4 year old son, he had been too young to bring to camp in the past so he would stay with your mum in France.
You and you mum had moved to France after you got signed to Olympique Lyon, during your second season you had become pregnant with Leo.
Only a handful of players had met Leo considering you lived in France and very rarely went back the the states. This camp would be the first time Leo would be meeting them and although you knew he was exited, he had told you enough times, you were still nervous.
You were nervous as to how he would react around so many new faces and how they all would be around Leo but most of all your were nervous about seeing a certain blonde. Kristie was one of your best friends when you used to play in the NWSL but when you signed for Lyon everything changed. The daily phone calls turned weekly then monthly then only every once in a while. When Leo was born she sent you a text and you kept in touch for a while but then it was back to silence which you respected. Something people grow apart that is just how life is.
“We’re here Leo” you tell your son as you pull up to the team hotel.
“Time to see your friends?” He asked you.
“Yep! Now you have be a good boy because Mama is here to play Soccer”
“I’ll be a good boy, I promise” He reach his pinky out to you.
You check in and take your bags to your room before going to the make shift food hall knowing that is where most of the players would be.
“When does Y/N land?” Pinoe asks Tobin.
“She landed a couple of hours ago, she texted me 20 minutes ago to tell me she just checked in”
“Honestly, I cannot believe this is her first camp in what two years” Alex says.
“Tell me about it, Jill just said she wasn’t what the team needed”
“Yeah because winning three champion leagues back to back isn’t good enough”
Tobin goes to make a comment but she doesn’t get the chance.
“Auntie Toby!! Auntie Toby!!” Leo shouts as he runs across the room.
Tobin was the first person to meet Leo. When she played for PSG she would get on a flight to Lyon to visit the two of you whenever she could. It was nice knowing that Leo would have one person that he is used to.
“Hey little dude” Tobin says as the boy wraps his arms around her neck giving her a huge hug.
“That is adorable” Pinoe nudges Christen who is taking a photo to capture the moment.
“Where’s your mama?” Tobin asks Leo.
He doesn’t respond, instead pointing over to where you are talking to Ash.
You walk over to the table where Leo is.
“Happy to be back?” Carli asks you.
“You have no idea. I love Lyon but it feels good to be home, good to see you guys” You say as you look at everyone but frown a little when you can’t find the person you are looking for.
“Looking for someone in particular?” Sam teases.
“Maybe?” You reply.
“She is on her way down, she left her phone in her room”
You smile and nod in response.
You watch as Tobin asks Leo if he know everyones names and you give your son credit, he knows everyone.
“Who’s that?” Tobin asks pointing behind you.
You turn around to see the oldest Mewis.
“That’s Kwistie. Mama’s best fwiend”
“And you must be Leo” Kristie says.
“I am. I’m 4” Leo tells her making everyone laugh.
“He looks just like you” Kristie tells you.
“Is that a good thing?” You say playfully.
“Absolutely” She replies.
“and they are back to flirting like no time has passed” Sonnet says earning a glare from both you and Kristie.
The room goes silent for a few seconds before turning their attention to Leo who is in deep conversation with Ash about sharks.
“I’ve missed you Y/N” Kristie says honestly.
“I’ve missed you too”
You sit down next to Ash and Leo scoots into your lap but still talks with Ash.
“Are you finally going to talk to her?” Tobin asks you.
“Things are different now Tobs, I have Leo to think about”
“I know but you deserve to be happy”
You hum in response, not really sure what to say next.
You spend the rest of the afternoon catching up on everything you have missed before Leo begins to fall asleep in your arms. You tell the team that it is time to call it a night.
***************************
The next morning Leo wakes you up at 7am. You get some breakfast and decide to go to the practice field.
You see Alyssa on your way out and she asks if you want some company, a keeper to take shots at and you take her up on her offer. The more practice you get the better.
The rest of the team meet up for breakfast and your presence is noticed immediately. Vlatko tells the team that you wanted to get an early start on training and that you would meet everyone at the field.
When everyone arrives they watch you, Alyssa and Leo for a few minutes.
You are taking shots at goal. Long range, free kicks and penalties. You are definitely putting Alyssa through her paces.
“Watch it Kris, you are drooling” Sam teases her sister.
“Shut up”
“I don’t blame you, Y/N looks incredible” Kelley says.
Kristie stares at Kelley and if looks could kill the defender would be on the floor.
“Just stating the obvious, we all know she is only interested in one soccer player”
Kristie blushes at Kelley’s response.
“Yeah mama!!!!!” Leo shouts gain everyone’s attention.
“Honestly, can that kid get any cuter?” Ash asks.
“Wait till you see him decked out in his Lyon kit or when he dresses up at Spiderman, it will melt your heart” Tobin tells them.
Vlatko tells everyone to warm up. Leo takes a seat on the bench whilst you join the rest of the team.
You do a few drills before ending with a scrimmage. Leo cheering on from the sidelines.
“He’s so well behaved, does he just sit there?” Carli asks as you take a break.
“Pretty much. Sometimes he gets really exited but other that like he just likes to watch soccer”
“Just like his mom”
Your and Kristie’s team win.
“I forgot how good it felt playing with you” Kristie says
“Well you better get used to it” You say playfully.
“What do you mean?” Kristie asks. You words give Kristie hope.
“I’m here aren’t I” you tell her before walking over to Leo who is talking to Pinoe.
Kristie watches you walk away. What did you mean? Was you referring to team with the USWNT or was it something more.
“She is staring” Tobin says casually.
“Chris will you tell her to stop it” You beg Christen
“No, I agree with her. You should tell her how you feel, how you felt before leaving New York”
“I want to but”
“No buts, ask her out tonight. It doesn’t have to a date but you need time alone. We will watch Leo”
“I couldn’t ask you to do that, especially at camp”
“You’re not asking, we are offering” Christen says.
“What do you say dude? Do you want a movie night with me and Auntie Christen?” Tobin ask Leo.
He nods his head “Can we watch Wreck it Ralph?”
“Sure we can” Tobin tells your son.
You mouth Thank you to Tobin.
You had been sat on your feelings for Kristie for years. Hopefully she felt the connection too, if not at least you would get closure and could move on.
“Kwistie, do you like Wreck It Ralph?” Leo asks shyly.
“I do”
“Good, good” he says simply.
Kristie looks at you and you shrug your shoulders. You loved that out of everyone Leo was asking Kristie if she liked one of his favourite movies.
Some of the players decide to walk back to the hotel seen as though it isn’t far.
You walk with Kristie whilst Leo walks with Tobin and Christen talking about their movie night.
“Can I ask you something?” You ask her.
“You just did”
“Still I smart ass I see”
Kristie lets out a small chuckle.
“I wanted to know if you would like to go out with me tonight?” You ask her.
“I actually thought the same thing. There is a restaurant around the corner that I found, it even has a good menu for Leo”
And if it wasn’t possible to fall in love with her even more.
“You looked for him?” You ask bringing you hand to your heart.
She nods her head shyly.
“That is” you pause for a second “you are amazing but I was thinking it could be you and me. Is that ok? I mean Leo is great and will talk your ear off but I was hoping to have you to myself tonight”
“You know I always loved it when it was just the two of us. Do you have a place in mind?” Kristie asks you.
“I do. How about I meet you in the lobby in 2 hours” You suggest.
“It’s a date” Kristie says and you can see the panic on her face “I didn’t mean that, I just, I meant”
“It’s a date” You repeat the blonde’s words back to her.
***************************
Tobin and Christen come to your room to watch Leo, that way if he falls asleep they don’t have to move him.
“Remember, you need to allow yourself to be happy. I know that you have Leo and you are an incredible mother but it is ok to be selfish and want someone that isn’t you’re son” Christen says.
“I know, I just hope this works out. If not next season is going to be very awkward” you tell her and realise you have slipped up straight away.
Christen smiles and goes to talk but Tobin interrupts her.
“Leo, do you want mama to be happy?” She asks your son.
“Really happy” He replies.
Tobin holds her hands up as if saying I told you so
You shake you head at her before kissing Leo a kiss.
“Where are you going Mama?” Leo asks you.
“I am going out with Kristie” you tell him honestly.
“Leo, do you like Kristie?” Tobin asks and you roll your eyes at her again.
Leo nods his head “She is really nice, she likes Wreck It Ralph like me”
You laugh at your son’s response before leaving to meet Kristie in the lobby.
She is there waiting for you when you get off the elevator but doesn’t see you. You take this opportunity to take in the sight in front of you. She was the most beautiful woman you had ever seen.
“Like what you see?” Kristie says friskily.
“Very much” you smile as Kristie blushes, your confidence rising slightly as you find that you have this effect on her.
The two of you arrive at a small Italian restaurant and are escorted to a booth the the back.
Once you are seated Kristie refuses to make eye contact with you. Was this too intimate? Were you making her feel uncomfortable?
“Kris” You lean across the table and take her hand in yours “Are you ok?” You ask concerned.
“I’m nervous” she admits.
“Why? It is just me” you try to comfort her.
“But so much has changed, you have changed”
“I am still me, I just come with a 4 year old”
“He is great” she tells you
“He reminds me a lot of you” Kristie gives you a look “I know, it sounds strange considering you haven’t met him before yesterday but he does. I love it, it’s like having a little Kristie with me in Lyon”
“I want to tell you something but I don’t want things to change between us” Kristie explains.
“You can tell me anything”
“You broke my heart when you left from France” she says downheartedly.
“It broke my heart to leave you”
“Then why did you?”
That was a good question. You could give her the professional answer or the honest answer but Kristie doesn’t give you the chance.
“I wanted you to stay” the blonde confesses.
“If you would have asked me, I would”
You are both silent for a few seconds, you go to speak but the waiter comes over and asks you what you want to drink.
“I let you go because I was too scared to tell you how I felt”
You look at Kristie in shock, was she saying what you thought she was saying.
“and I left because I was in love with you and the thought of not being with you almost destroyed me. I ran away to France because I was too much of a coward to tell you how I really felt”
“you should have told me…wait what did you just say?” Kristie asks you.
“I was in love with you” you repeat yourself.
“Was?”
“Am in love you Kristie. There was never anyone who came close to you. I put all of my focus on Lyon and then I had Leo”
You pause when you realise that Kristie hasn’t said the feeling mutual.
“I understand if you don’t feel the same why, I mean it was a long time ago”
“No, it’s not that. I love you Y/N, I really do but this will never work. You live in France and I live in Houston”
“What if I didn’t live in France anymore”
This is what you were referring to earlier in the day when you said she better get used to you playing together.
You can tell that Kristie is confused. She had this look, her eyebrows furrow and she gets a small pout, it was adorable.
“I am not resigning with Lyon at the end of the season. Houston offered me a contract and I am going to sign”
“You’re signing with the Dash?” Kristie asks, wanting you to confirm what you have already told her.
You nod your head.
“This is our second chance” Kristie says and you wipe a tear from her face as it falls.
You move even closer to Kristie, close enough that your nose were touching. You learn in placing a soft kiss on her lips.
“It could be but things are different now. Like said I come with a four year old and I have to put him first no matter how much I love you”
“I don’t care, wait I do care. What I mean is that I am ok with that” she tells you.
“I want to believe you, I really do but I want you to think long and hard about this. This isn’t a decision that can be made in 2 minutes. Think about this Kristie, I won’t hold it against you if this is too much” you say seriously.
“It’s not but it is makes you feel better I will sleep on it and we can talk more in the morning”
“Deal. Now let’s order some food, I am starving”
The meal is spent reminiscing about the past and talking about what the future could be like.
You and Kristie walk back to the hotel. You hold her hand with no intention of ever letting go. Kristie tells you a story about how Sam but you aren’t listening, you look at the woman next to you and feel you cheeks heat up when she catches you staring.
The walk to your room is quicker than you wanted, you and Kristie stop at your door. Kristie kisses you and this one is filled with passion, you only stop when you hear movement on the other side of the door.
The door opens and you see Tobin and Leo
“Hi Mama, hi Kwistie” Leo says as you lift him up and he waves at Kristie and she waves back.
“Hi Leo”
“You’re moving back to the US?” Tobin asks you excitedly.
You think for a moment. You has been with Kristie the entire night, she couldnt have told Tobin. You move your focus to Christen, you slipped up before you left but you never confirmed anything. Then the penny drops as you look at your son.
“Leo, did you tell our secret?”
He has this mischievous grin on his face.
“You said family don’t keep secrets and Auntie Tobs is my family”
How could you argue with that.
You look back at Tobin and see that she had tears in her eyes after what Leo said.
“Well seen as though your family” you tell Tobin playfully “I am signing with Houston next season” you turn your attention to Kristie who has a huge grin on her face.
“Of course you are” Tobin teases.
Leo gets back into bed and you say goodnight to Tobin and Christen, thanking them for looking after him.
“You know we will watch him anytime. I take it you guys talked?” Christen asks.
“We did” You say looking at Kristie who is sat on the bed talking with Leo.
“Good. We will see you in the morning Y/N’
You watch Kristie and Leo, could this be your future? The three of you, a family.
“Mama, Can Kristie watch Wreck It Ralph 2 with us?” Leo asks you.
You look at the time, you could fit another movie in. Hopefully a late night would mean that Leo would sleep in. It wasn’t just up to you though.
“Have you asked Kristie if she wants to watch it?” You ask him.
“Do you Kwistie?”
“I would love to Leo just don’t tell coach that I had a late night” she jokes with your son.
“I won’t, pinky promise” Leo says holding our his little finger to Kristie.
Leo sits on the bed, getting himself comfy. When you look at Kristie she has this look on her face, one you didn’t recognise.
“What if he doesn’t like me?”
“He is a Y/L/N, of course he will like you”
“I am being serious Y/N” Kristie says and you can tell she is really worried about this.
“Do you remember at training, he asked you if you liked the movie. Not anyone else, he chose you. Movie nights are sacred to him, I don’t know why but they are yet he asked you to watch a film with him. He likes you, I can tell” You try to reassure her.
Kristie slows nods her head before going to Leo.
You put the film on and join Leo and Kristie on the bed. You wait for Leo to cuddle up to you but he doesn’t. You look over and see him tucked into Kristie side.
Realising that you are not needed, you decide to get a quick shower. When you come back out Leo in fast asleep whilst Kristie’s watches over him, you can tell she is deep in thought as her attention doesn’t move from him when you come out of the bathroom in just a towel.
You grab your phone off the tv unit and take a photo, capturing the moment in front of you.
When you look up from your phone you see Kristie staring at you.
“I don’t need to take the night to think about this Y/N”
You know exactly what she is referring to.
“I mean it. I want you, we have wasted enough time. I used to think about what it would be like to have a family with you, now I have the chance to have that”
She stoped talking but you can tell that she isn’t done yet.
“I want you, I want Leo, I want us” She tells you.

Keep it a Secret - Kristie Mewis x Reader
Prompt: Maybe an imagine, where R is the sister of one of the players (you can choose who) and R and Kristie are trying to hide their relationship at camp, because they know that their sisters would freak if they would know about them. Love your imagines.
Note: This really spiralled and became a little angstier than intended and ended up not really matching the prompt anymore.
“Do you have any idea how hot you are?” Y/N mumbled against Kristie’s neck, hips pressing her into the wall of her hotel room.
Kristie tipped her head back, giving Y/N more room to scrape her teeth along her neck.
“Fuck, you are making it really hard to keep this a secret,” Kristie bit her lip, trying to supress her moan, hand gripping Y/N’s neck.
Y/N ignored her, switching sides and making her way back up. One hand sliding up her shirt while the other braced against the wall, both rolling their hips into each other.
With a groan, Kristie placed both hands on Y/N’s chest, pushing her away. Y/N pulled her hand out from Kristie’s shirt, but tried to lean in and kiss her girlfriend, only to be pushed away again.
Y/N pulled back, taking a full step away, confused.
Kristie reached up and ran a thumb along Y/N’s bottom lip.
“If we don’t stop now, we won’t, we won’t,” she repeated when she noticed Y/N about to argue.
“you know I’m right, because I very much liked where that was going. But that will do nothing keep this a secret.”
“Ugh!” Y/N groaned, taking a few steps and flopping backwards on the bed. “Then you need to stop looking that good.” Y/N moved to be leaning on her elbows, shamelessly eyeing her girlfriend.
As if summoning them, there was a series of loud knocks on the door.
“Hey losers! Open up!” Rose called through the door.
Both made eye contact and laughed.
“Fix your hair, you have a just about to be fucked look. Oh wait,” Y/N let the sentence hang, smirking and getting up to open the door.
As soon as the door opened, Rose, Mal, Sonnett, and Lindsey plowed in, each making themselves at home in the room.
“What are you two doing?” Lindsey tossed a random sock at Kristie.
“Don’t worry about it,” Y/N winked.
“What aren’t we worrying about?” Sam questioned as she entered the room.
“What these two losers were doing before we got here,” Sonnett filled in.
Y/N and Kristie both purposefully avoiding each other as the group caught up now that they were all back together for camp. The couple had somehow gotten lucky and were sharing a room, after having been apart for months, the two just wanted to be alone but knew their friends weren’t going to be leaving them alone anytime soon.
The two had been together for almost a year, unfortunately being separated for most of it due to playing on separate teams. Luckily, they were both from Massachusetts, making off season much easier to continue to keep their relationship secret. Sam was oblivious to most things around her, so keeping it secret from her was easy. Short of the couple making out in front of them, Sam would never figure it out.
Christen however, was too perceptive for her own damn good. She could easily figure them, probably already had. She had been sending them strange looks the last couple camps but had yet to question them.
It was hard for Kristie and Y/N to keep their relationship secret though. Both women generally being very tactile, enjoying physical touch. They struggled to keep their hands to themselves. Thankfully they had all been friends for years before the two had transitioned to a relationship, so minimal touching didn’t really alert anyone to a change.
“Sibling!” Christen called as she burst into the room, jumping onto Y/N, pulling her into a hug.
“Hey Chris,” Y/N chuckled at her enthusiasm, hugging her sister back.
The group all made their way down for supper shortly after. Y/N instinctually placed her hand on Kristie’s lower back as they walked through the door, Kristie leaning into the touch briefly before they caught themselves and pulled apart quickly. Each focussing on the ground as they walked to separate tables.
Christen smirked.
Kristie and Y/N kept sneaking glances throughout the meal, one would glance up to see the other already looking, then both would look away blushing.
As soon as the door closed to their hotel room, Kristie had Y/N pinned to the wall. Hands gliding up her sides under her shirt, scratching her nails down.
“Fuck Kristie,” Y/N moaned out, arching into the touch.
Kristie stepped forward, pinning Y/N’s hips to the wall with her own.
Y/N gripped the hem of Kristie’s shirt, pulling it up and off. Then gripped her hips and spun them around, hands moving to Kristie’s hamstrings and lifting her, who immediately wrapped her legs around Y/N.
Y/N carried Kristie to the bed, gently placing her down, pressing herself the length of Kristie’s body. She shifted one leg between Kristie’s, who started to roll her hips up.
Kristie moaned, pawing at Y/N’s shirt, pulling it off of her.
“Open up losers!” Rose banged on the door again.
“No,” Y/N moaned into Kristie’s neck. “Maybe if we pretend we aren’t here they’ll leave.”
“You know they won’t” Kristie pushed Y/N off.
Grabbing a sweater, throwing one at Y/N, Kristie opened the door.
“What took you so long?” Mal gave them weird looks as they walked in.
“Don’t worry about it,” Y/N shot them a wink.
“Gross, is this bed safe to sit on?” Lindsey walked in, picking up on the inuendo.
“Don’t be crude Lindsey,” Sam fake gagged.
The rest of the group laughed.
“Yea, look at these two, not a chance there’s anything happening,” Sonnett added. “Besides, Kristie could do waaaayy better.” She added, flopping onto the bed next to Y/N, knocking their shoulders together to show she was joking.
Y/N rolled her eyes, satisfied none of them had figured it out.
The group hung out until curfew and then all dispersed to their own rooms.
Kristie and Y/N getting ready for bed, Kristie messing up the one bed to make it look slept in before sliding into the other with Y/N, rolling her onto her back with a hard kiss.
Things quickly escalated, having been interrupted twice already, both were ready to combust with sexual frustration.
Both exhausted, Kristie rested her head on Y/N’s chest, absentmindedly running her fingers on Y/N’s stomach.
“How much do you think Sam would freak if she found out what happened minutes after she left this bed?” Y/N chuckled.
“Sam freaks out over a stain on her shirt, she would have an aneurism if she knew anything about this,” Kristie looked up, grinning.
Both were right, they knew Same would lose her mind if she found out Kristie and Y/N were together. Christen they weren’t sure how she would react, probably be upset they didn’t tell her, hopefully be supportive. They had decided to just keep it between them for now, at first it was because it had happened so suddenly, then they just liked the simplicity of people not knowing, now it was getting harder to keep secret; it was at the point they knew it was serious and would progressing into something long term.
“How obvious do you think we could be before Sam figures it out?” Y/N smirked.
Kristie propped up on her elbow, looking down at Y/N. She could see the insecurity on her face. Placing a gentle kiss on Y/N’s forehead, she stared down.
“Do you want to tell them?” Kristie asked gently.
They both knew Sam would be the one that would be an issue when they told their siblings. Nothing seemed to phase Christen and was always so supportive of Y/N.
“No, I don’t know, I know Sam will freak out,” Y/N rambled, unsure.
“Where’s this coming from babe?”
“Fuck, I don’t Kristie. I don’t know if it’s because I finally get to see you after so long, but all day I just wanted to touch you. Just hold your hand, sit with you at supper, you know, stuff like that,” Y/N rambled.
“Me too Y/N/N,” Kristie leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on her lips. “What’s going on in that head of yours?” she placed another kiss on her forehead.
Y/N just shrugged noncommittally. Kristie just watched her.
“I just, I know it was my idea to keep us a secret, but it’s getting hard. Being away from you so much is hard. Not being able to fly out to you on bye weeks is hard. Having to be the last one to hear if you’re ok when you go down is hard. It’s just all getting so hard.”
“Then let’s tell people, or at the very least our sisters, or just stop hiding it,” Kristie made it sound so easy.
“No, we don’t need to do that. I’m just overwhelmed or something, I don’t know,” Y/N wouldn’t make eye contact with Kristie.
Kristie gently held Y/N’s face, scratching her nails into the baby hairs.
“Why don’t you sleep on it? See how you feel in the morning, decide from there.” Kristie suggested.
Y/N nodded, tugging Kristie to lay back down. Running her fingers up and down Kristie’s spine, Y/N tried to settle her mind.
She knew she loved Kristie, but she knew she couldn’t tell her. Sonnett had been right, Kristie could do much better than her. As much as Kristie said she was alright telling their sisters, she knew this wasn’t as serious for Kristie as it was for her.
Y/N was gone when Kristie woke up the next morning. Kristie got ready quickly and made her way down for breakfast hoping to find her girlfriend.
Kristie was disappointed when she walked into the banquet room and didn’t see Y/N.
“Where’s your other half?” Mal teased, walking up behind Kristie.
“What?” Kristie turned around quickly.
“Y/N, where’s Y/N?” Mal asked again.
“Oh, um, I don’t know. She was gone before I got up this morning,” the pair made their way through the buffet.
Kristie knew Y/N hadn’t slept much the night before, because she too had been awake most of the night. What Y/N had said last night kept her mind running. She wanted to tell her sister too, but she knew Sam would not react well. Not because she didn’t like Y/N or think they would be a good couple, but because that’s just who Sam was. Kristie knew Y/N had a tendency to overthink and internalize most of her thoughts. Christen she didn’t know. That one could go either way, but Kristie knew how close the sisters were and could see how hard it was getting for Y/N to not tell Christen. Kristie also knew how protective Christen was of her younger sister.
Halfway through breakfast, Y/N tried to sneak into the banquet room, hoping to get in undetected. Kristie had been watching the door the entire meal though, so saw her as soon as she walked in. Her eyes followed Y/N as she walked to the buffet table. Y/N was dressed in her running clothes, drenched in sweat, clearly having just come back from a run. Kristie watched as Y/N grabbed a bottle of water and a banana before trying to sneak out again.
Kristie shot out of her chair when she saw Y/N leave the room again, concerned at how strange Y/N was being.
“Y/N!” Kristie called out as the girl tried to duck into the stairwell.
Kristie could see her shoulder drop before turning around.
“Hey Kristie, I was just about head up for a shower. Wanna join?” Y/N waggled her eyebrows, but Kristie could see behind the invitation.
Kristie quickly closed the distance, pushing Y/N into the stairwell.
“What’s going on?” Kristie placed her hand on Y/N’s neck, the other fisting her shirt.
“Went for a run,” Y/N shrugged.
“We have a double day today, why would you go for a run?” Kristie challenged, applying pressure to Y/N’s hip.
Y/N just shrugged again, making to pull away from Kristie. Kristie applied more pressure to the hip to keep in her in place.
The two made eye contact, each challenging the other. Kristie debating how much to push her girlfriend, Y/N trying to push her emotions down.
Kristie slowly released her grip, taking a step back.
“I’ll see you later Kris,” Y/N called out, turning and running up the stairs.
Kristie released a sigh, letting her shoulders drop. She was about to make her way out of the stairwell when the door opened again, Christen walking in.
“Hey, everything ok? I saw Y/N sneak out and you rush after,” Christen asked softly. She knew something was going on between her sister and the midfielder.
“Hmm? Oh yea, all good,” Kristie tried to step around Christen.
“Kristie?” Christen gently grabbed Kristie’s arm as she walked past. “I know there’s something between the two of you, it’s ok.”
Kristie’s head shot up; eyes nervous at the declaration.
“It’s ok,” Christen repeated, rubbing her hand up and down Kristie’s arm.
“We’ve been together almost a year. I think she wants to start telling people, she mentioned it last night. But we both know Sam will lose her mind, no idea how you would react,” Kristie answered softly, knowing there was no point in denying it now.
Christen pulled Kristie into a hug. “It’s ok. I figured it out a couple camps ago. You guys are great together, even when you’re trying to hide it.”
Kristie hugged her back, letting out a small chuckle, “of course you figured it out.”
“No one else knows, if that helps, and Sam will never figure it out if you guys don’t tell her,” Christen reassured.
“I’m going to go talk to her, she always runs when she is stuck in her head,” Kristie pulled away, starting up the stairs.
“Hey Kristie,” Christen called her back, “she feels the same way,”
Kristie gave her a strange look but Christen just walked out the stairwell.
Slowly making her way into their shared room, Kristie heard the water running in the shower, she settled on the bed to wait.
Y/N walked out in loose sweats and a sports bra, drying her hair with a towel.
“Hey babe, feeling better?”
“Yeah,” Y/N nodded, “I’m sorry about this morning, and uhh last night.”
“Christen knows,” Kristie decides to just cut to the chase.
“I’m not surprised,” Y/N shrugged her shoulders, “she always picks up on this kind of thing.”
“You’re ok with that?”
Y/N shrugged again, “she knows, not like I can change that.”
Kristie shook her head, Y/N was being difficult about this.
“Y/N/N,” Kristie trailed off, not knowing what else to add.
“Really, I am. It was going to start coming out at some point and Christen is pretty observant, I’m surprised it took her this long.”
“Alright,” the midfielder hesitated, “so what do you want to do now?”
Y/N shrugged again, pulling a shirt on, “we keep going as is I guess.”
“Give me something to work with here Y/N!” Kristie flopped on the back, rubbing both hands down her face.
“What do you want from me?” Y/N snapped. “What do you want from this? From us?”
Kristie sat up at the sudden outburst, Y/N looking at her, eyes hard. She cocked her head to the side, confused at the abrupt change.
“I want whatever you want Y/N/N,” Kristie began cautiously, “umm, I want you, to be with you, to continue to be your girlfriend. I’m not really sure what you want me to say.”
Y/N continued to stare at Kristie. Kristie staring back, having no idea what else to say, no idea what Y/N wanted to her to say.
Finally, Y/N’s shoulder dropped, chin dropping too, she took a shaking breath in.
Kristie softened, “there’s more to this than people finding out, isn’t there?”
Y/N shrugged, only to slowly nod.
“You want to be with me, with um, be together?” Y/N stammered out.
“Of course,” Kristie replied with no hesitation. “I am crazy about you Y/N, there is no one else I could picture myself, not now, not ever. What are you thinking?”
Y/N shrugged her shoulders again, starting to pace the room.
“I don’t know, my mind just seems to be all over the place right now. What Sonnett said just kind of stuck with me yesterday and then us talking about how Sam would react, and I just really fucking miss you,” Y/N ran a hand through her hair frustrated.
Kristie got off the bed and grabbed Y/N by her biceps, squeezing them tight to get her attention, holding her firmly when she tried to pull away. When Y/N wouldn’t stop trying to pull away, Kristie wrapped moved to pull her into a tense hug.
“Listen to me Y/N,” Kristie started assertively, “Sonnett thinks she’s funny, there is no way you are not good enough for me. We are both fucking amazing people and are fucking amazing together.”
Y/N relaxed slightly in Kristie’s arms, Kristie pulled away, keeping her hands on Y/N’s arms.
“What if we just keep being us? Not tell anyone, no big speech or anything, but just us being us. You can hold my hand when you want, sit next to me at meals, I’ll make you my emergency contact. We can make out in front of Sam and see if she thinks we are just friends.”
Kristie smiled when that earned her a small giggle.
“I’m sorry for freaking out like this,” Y/N mumbled shyly, pulling herself back into Kristie’s arm, nestling her nose into her neck.
Kristie rubbed her hand up and down Y/N’s back, “you don’t have to apologize gorgeous, just tell me what’s going on in you head so I can help.”
“I’m just worried this means more to me than it does to you.”
Kristie’s hand stopped moving and tried to extract Y/N from her arms, only for Y/N to hold on tighter.
“I am so fucking in love with you Y/N,” Kristie said firmly.
This got Y/N to pull away, eyes wide.
“This means just as much to me as it does to you. You mean everything to me,” Kristie moved both her hands to Y/N’s head, holding it in place to make eye contact. “I love you.”
“I love you too,” Y/N whispered softly.

Si je te suggère pas Arthur/Venec pour le ask game, qqn d'autre le fera à ma place. (Ou pas, et c'est un risque que je ne prendrais pas.) (Over reacting, me ? Naaaa)
On tackle la 3e ask sur ce ship (VOUS ME CONNAISSEZ SI BIEN)
Ship It
What made you ship it?
What are your favorite things about the ship?
Le côté hurt/comfort est juste off the charts. On sait tous qu'Arthur en a pris cher et mérite quelqu'un qui l'aime, mais avec le film on a aussi eu Venec qui a se fait bolosser par Alzagar et son sbire et moi ça me. mmmmmmmmh ça m'inspire.
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
je sais pas... fellow arthur/venec shippers, avez-vous des opinions qui diffèrent des miennes, à ce stade je me sens gênée de n'avoir rien à répondre à cette question

Based on Sam's comment under justwomensports insta post the marriage talk was a bit much for her lol she even ignored the subject of the post (the parents story) and reacted to the whole podcast. OMG girl is getting cold feet, hope Lynn didn't ruin their relationship 😂
bestie as much as i agree that the question could’ve been a bit much i think she could’ve just been saying she’s not gonna become a second sam mewis SHAKJAJS, seems like it was said in a very lighthearted tone

The next world cup is in less than 2 years. I'm sure USWNT will have loads of friendlies, 2 SheBelieves Cups, maybe even a mini tournament like Algrave Cup or ToN. That's plenty of time to develop youth, improve PK skills, have a changing of the guard. That can't and won't happen if we keep hanging onto too many vets who are past their prime.
The USWNT will need another player like Pinoe whos willing to put everything on the line to be the emotional leader on and off the pitch and yes Crystal seems to be the only one who comes close but you're forgetting how vocal Sam Mewis was when it came to speaking up about racial injustices. Due to Crystal being a strong Black woman she unfortunately already has a target on her back and might not be allowed the same grace as her white teammates to be vocal online about certain issues.
We've seen how the conservatives have reacted to Pinoe and the criticism she receives but it's nowhere near the hatred and anti-Black remarks that Crystal, Press, AD, Lynn and every single USWNT Black player have received. I would like for Crystal to step into that role and hopefully she does but I would not want her to risk her job or possibly even her life with how deeply rooted anti-Blackness is in U.S. soccer.
Sam Mewis probably won't reach the same level as Pinoe but I've listened to her podcast with Lynn plus everything she's advocated for in 2020 shows that she's is a true ally and accomplice. She very well has the ability to step into that role. If you ant see that after all the info I've provided then I guess that's something we'll have to agree to disagree on.
It’s a good bit of time, but a whole year less than what is normally available between cycles. There will need to be less of an overhaul than what is typical, in my opinion. On a 23 player roster, I don’t think holding onto a handful of players over 33 is a bad idea. That leaves plenty of room for emerging talent to get their footing and for mid-range age players to take the reins.
I 100% agree with you about Crystal. As much as I see her as the future leader of this squad, she needs to be protected from the racist vitriol that the Black women on the USWNT have received since forever, both within US soccer and from beyond. We definitely can’t forget that the country this team is representing is a deeply racist one, and that the Black women on this team are subjected to more frequent, severe, and dangerous backlash than any white player on the team will ever receive.
I have not watched many interviews with Sam, but what little I have heard makes her seem like a person that could potentially share that role with Dunn in the future. I just don’t want to see a straight, white woman remain the face of the USWNT. I think we need to get away from that.

This is a blog where people chat about Kristie Mewis, I don’t really agree with that anon that people are being “too sensitive” for expressing they don’t like that their favorite player is getting creeped on by the daily mail and fans keep comparing her career to her gfs. Like Kristie is totally fine but being die hard for you fav is a part of sports. That’s not a weird reaction that’s like a super normal sports reaction, it’s honestly exactly how guys on twitter talk about men’s soccer lol they want people to respect their favs and will fight about it. I doesn’t have to be everyone reaction but it’s not uncommon.
Yes and we all can have different opinions. We all react to things differently. There's nothing wrong with you being angry and wanting to defend Kristie when you think she's being slighted or insulted. And that other person has a right to not like the way that you are reacting. You can't always convince others to feel the way you do. It's about interpretation. You know that I would never agree with anybody criticizing Kristie for anything. I don't answer those asks. But I do respect other opinions as long as they are respectful. We aren't always going to see eye to eye.

Pls do USWNT patronus, Becky is our cat-tian
Becky - a cougar. They represent leadership, confidence, wisdom and many other qualities that I believe Becky possesses.
Christen - a Humming bird because they can adapt to anything, and fight while still having a playful and light spirit. Much like our beautiful Press
Sonnet and O'Hara - Coyote. Coyotes are viewed as playful and tricksters, but have a hidden wisdom. Given that these two are the most chaotic of the bunch, I felt this was fitting
Pinoe and Alex Morgan - a lion because of their strength, courage and assertiveness. Pinoe, Morgan and lions are relentless fighters.
Here are all the Dog Patronus's:
Rose Lavelle and Dahlkemper - golden retriever because they're even tempered, intelligent and affectionate. They're playful, yet gentle.
Mal Pugh - a bulldog because they're charming and affectionate much like Mal. They are considered, and I quote "brawny little powerhouses that exude great strength, stability and vigor."
Tierna Davidson - a Greyhound because she seems very reserved. Greyhounds are very gentle and very quiet.
Sam Mewis and Lindsey Horan - lab retriever because they're both sturdy, solid, and have very expressive eyes and an energetic nature.
Ertz and Dunn - Jack Russel Terrier because they're fun, energetic, and hard workers.
Tobin - a bear due to her strength and confidence. Much like Tobin, bears are feared and admired for their strength. They provide courage and a stable foundation to face challenges
Naeher and AD: an owl because of their intuition. Owls symbolize the ability to cut through illusions and see the real meaning of someone’s action or state of mind. As goalies, they have to anticipate actions and moves rather quickly, and often catch on and react before anybody else.
Allie Long and Ashlyn Harris - a fox. They're responsive and cunning, with trickster qualities.
Carli Lloyd - a black panther because of their subtle power. Panthers represent someone who is content to keep to themselves. They listen closely, but only share just enough information to keep curious minds content.
Ali Krieger - a jaguar because they're all about reclaiming your inner power. They're passionate, confident and embrace change with grace and dignity.
Mo Brian - a turtle. They represent determination, persistence, being grounded, pacing yourself, and growing confidence.

I just wanna jump in if it's okay and say that yeah to some an Instagram post or a Twitter post might not seem like much but let's not knock players that are atleast making those post and trying to bring attention and raise awareness, ali, ashlyn, pinoe, sonnett, sam mewis, others as well though, They may not be doing exactly what the WNBA is doing which is incredible btw they maybe doing the best they know how. I would rather see them address it that way then just stay silent you know ?
Hey my asks are open and always feel free to express yourself.
Definitely agree with you. That atleast they are trying and they are doing something. Like I said, a post or even just a tweet can mean something. You never know who’s reading/seeing your content and can realise they need to change their mentality. So yeah I appreciate anyone who has posted/still posting and have not just reacted once and that’s all !

US v Nigeria overreaction roster prediction
Just a fun USWNT roster prediction drawn up by putting way to much stock in tonight’s match only
Forward: Press, Morgan, Rapinoe, Heath, Williams
Tonight: the late Lynn goal while the team was gassed + the chemistry with perpetual player of the match Christen Press and leave Lloyd (ikr a vlatko fave how crazy) the odd one out
Mid: Horan, S Mewis, Lavelle, Ertz, K Mewis (Marcario)
Tonight: Kristie locked herself a spot today, and think she instilled more confidence playing alongside Horan at 6 than Sonnet at 6. Cat showed some brilliance too but is young enough the alt experience seems valuable too
Defense: Broon, Dalkhemper, O’Hara, Dunn, Purce, Tierna (Sonnett)
Tonight: Tierna showed more at left than Sonnett did at 6 today and that flexed her up. He didn’t play Midge bc he’s seen enough and we know Vlatko likes versatility.
Gk: Naeher, Campbell
Tonight: I mean nothing to react to for the US but I’ll just say the Nigerian gk made some great saves. Also Alyssa yelling is probs a game highlight for me tbh.

US team is slammed for ‘disgusting’ and ‘obnoxious’ celebrations
The American football team is beaten hard because it wildly celebrated all goals in its 13-0 defeat against Thailand. The favorites of the Women's World Cup beat the minnows in Riems, France on Tuesday evening and responded to every goal as if they were their first.
Thailand was never a real threat to the American national team. Yet the triple World Cup championships for women did not know how to beat a lesser opponent in their opening match

& # 39; Of course we have the greatest respect for everyone we play, but it is the World Cup, & # 39; said Captain Megan Rapinoe.

Samantha Mewis and Rose Lavelle each added a few goals for the United States, which broke the record for goals and profit margin in a World Cup match
The United States was confronted with criticism of the ruthless attack. The Americans led 3-0 during the break and then broke the open game in the second half, with the players celebrating goal after goal.
The Americans did not mean a lack of respect, Morgan said, but they just wanted to position themselves for a run in a second consecutive title.

Commentators and fans on Twitter described the cheering celebrations as unsporting and even & # 39; disgusting & # 39 ;. came in the game and really wanted to show us, & said Morgan. "Every goal counts in this tournament and we worked on it."
Asked about the crooked score, the American coach Jill Ellis asked himself wondering if a 10-0 win in a world cup would raise the same questions.
"This is a world championship, so every team here has been fantastic to get to this point. And I think opponents' respect is to play hard against opponents, and as Alex said, it's a tournament where goal differential is important, "said Ellis.
Even the reserve players joined forces and jumps up and down
Commentators and fans on Twitter have described the cheering celebrations as unsporting and even & # 39; disgusting & # 39 ;.
On the Canadian sports channel TSN, former Canada players Clare Rustad and Kaylyn Kyle threw the American team down.
& # 39; I just think they could have won with some humility and grace, and they just didn't succeed & # 39 ;, said Rustad. What is this? & # 39;
Kyle agreed and said: & # 39; They are the number 1 team in the world and for me, to be honest, I am disgusted. & # 39;
Various fans on Twitter also made known their feelings.
& # 39; I understand that the goal balance score is increased, but there is no need to celebrate every goal, such as classless shocks, & # 39; wrote a writer.
Another added: & # 39; Ok, settle the US … you are 11-0 against Thailand. & # 39;
Former American international Taylor Twellman criticized the team, believing that the secondary goals in Reims were excessive.
& # 39; Celebrating goals (such as # 9) leave a sour taste in my mouth like many of you. Wondering if someone apologizes for this post game, & # 39; Twellman tweeted to his 327,000 followers.
He was also critical of American women for their hands prior to competitions against more formidable opponents. & # 39; Not sure why the # USWNT & # 39; one of their set-plays wastes when the score is 3-0. Bury (Thailand) then goes further, but does not use anything that might be needed in future games, & he wrote.

& # 39; The American team is not here to be someone's friend. The American team is here to win a world cup.
& # 39; The American team is going to every time the bells ring, make as many goals as possible. & # 39;
Former US player Abby Wambach wrote: & # 39; For all those who have problems with many goals: for some players this is their first World Cup goal and they should be excited.
& # 39; Imagine you are there. This is your dream to play and then score in a World Cup. Would you tell a men's team to to score or celebrate? & # 39;
Fox Sports presenter Aly Wagner v added: & # 39; It's a World Cup, you score, you celebrate. This is a dream for these players.
The women's world championship started on Saturday with host France who beat South Korea 4-0. the history of the tournament, beating Argentina's 11-0 victory over Argentina in 2007.
The US took a 3-0 lead at halftime, but it really got out of hand in the first 12 minutes from the second half
Then, as if that wasn't enough, the US enjoyed a similar flurry in the game and scored six goals in the last 15 minutes of the game.
Samantha Mewis and Rose Lavelle each added a few goals for the United States, breaking the record for goals and profit margin in a World Cup match. Mallory Pugh and Carli Lloyd also scored.
& # 39; We had a record for World Cup matches, set in the quarterfinals against Chinese Taipei in 1991.

It was close to the team's biggest routing ever. The US beat the Dominican Republic 14-0 in the 2012 Olympic qualification in Vancouver, British Columbia.
The next day for the US is the world cup newcomer Chile on Sunday in Paris. In the final group match before the knockout round, the Americans travel to Le Havre to confront arch-enemy Sweden, which has been grouped six times in the World Cup game.
In the last meeting between the teams, Sweden drove the United States into the quarterfinals at the 2016 Olympic Games.

The World Cup comes at a time when female players around the world are looking for better treatment, conditions and rewards.
The American national team has long been defending equal rights and players jointly filed a lawsuit earlier this year in which discrimination is being claimed by the American football federation and they strive for a fair reward with that of the men's national team
The players say the trial is on hold while they are in France. But a few prominent benefactors on Twitter referred to the team's commitment to equality.
& # 39; The @ USWNT is something to laugh about. It was great to celebrate with them back in 2015 and I am excited to root them on their drive to earn their fourth star. Good luck to these champions for equality, on and off the field, & wrote former President Barack Obama.
Tennis legend Billie Jean King weighed in: & # 39; The pursuit of a record 4th World Cup trophy for the #USWNT officially starts today, but the journey is in the making. American football player Megan Rapinoe is stuck with her against Thailand in France on Tuesday.
The player stood still and with stone faces while her teammates sang along to the & # 39; Star-Spangled Banner & # 39; in the Auguste-Delaune Stadium in Reims.
The 33-year-old midfielder went on to score a goal in the game, when the American national football team recorded the biggest victory in world cup history with a pounding 13-0 win over Thailand and their search for a fourth title started.
But Rapinoe was criticized by some social media users for her decision not to honor the national anthem, while others praised it

Rapinoe has also preventively rejected the usual invitation to the White House of the President

Rapinoe was not always a frank American culture critic
.
In 2011, she sang proudly & # 39; Born in the USA & # 39; in a microphone after she had scored a decisive point in a 3-0 win vs. Colombia during the FIFA World Cup qualifier.
But over the course of eight years, the athlete, part of the 2015 beloved World Cup winning team, has become famous for her activism on and off the field as she is for her exciting game.
The Redding, California native and American poster girl, recently became the first openly gay woman who posed for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit number.
In 2016, she was the first athlete to master the pre-game anthem performance in solidarity with the former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who used the gesture as a silent protest against racism and police brutality after the series of high-profile fatal shootings of black Americans by law enforcement officers.

& # 39; I know what it means to look at the flag and don't have it to protect all your freedoms, Rapinoe told reporters at the time.
In response to Rapinoe's protest, the United States Soccer Federation created a rule where players had to stand & # 39; respectful & # 39; play the national anthem.
Rapinoe was also one of the women's national team players to bring a lawsuit to the federal court on gender discrimination in March.
The players have stated in court cases that American male players have a bonus of $ 55,000 earned for he t make the World Cup selection in 2014, while the women each earned a $ 15,000 bonus for making the 2015 World Cup for the World Cup.
The American women's football team is considerably more successful than the men, won the World Cup in 1991, 1999 and 2015.
Rapinoe said the trial was over & # 39; inspiring women around the world stand up for what they believe in They have an ally in us. We are with them, we support them and we will continue this fight for as long as necessary. & # 39;
It would require the huge inequality gap that we need to be much better. It would take a lot of progress in LGBTQ rights. We just have such a disparity in this country in so many different ways, inequality in so many different ways… There are things that are much more important than soccer,' she said.
