So if we assume ForceBook and FirstKhao are the main couples of this series (since they are the first two couples in the credits). These two shots are so interesting to me.

Mew is the nice one, the virgin, the table keeper, while Ray is the trouble making drunkard. I don’t know why these two shots stick with me so much but they seems to tell the opposite.

Mew is the nice one, but there is a lot hidden underneath that’s going to be unleashed and I highlight doubt that’s going to be a good thing.

Ray is a troublemaker sure, but I think it’s probably just more on a surface level. Underneath is a boy who is in pain and just wants to the boy he loves to love him back. Right now it’s Mew but I imagine that it’s going to become Sand pretty soon.

It might be nothing but it seems like a strange thing to do to make your serious “wants to have sex for the first time with someone he trusts and isn’t afraid to say no” look like he’s in some kind of serial killer mugshot while the obvious drunk troublemaker look more sympathic by having his face half in the light.

P.S. I think it’s also important that Boston is left out of the light entirely but I’m not too sure about what it means just yet.

you know... ray and mew really have similar ways of dealing with any jealous situation: taking the most unhinged approach possible.

Just adding my voice to the choir to say that there are several shots (that yes I'm too lazy to find right now) where Mew's face drains of all expression and he looks like he's utterly dead inside and I find myself wondering if that's on purpose.

It has to be on purpose, right?

One of my burning questions has been low key answered. Top picks up the photo of the 4 of Mews friends in ep1. It’s out of frame as to what the photo was so I was a little suspicious. Then we see Boston’s best photo that is in the same frame in his bedroom ep3. Then when ray goes to apologize ep 4 he picks up the photo in Mew’s and it stays just out of camera frame again. I’d wondered previously if it was a photo of Mew younger and maybe it is. But he has a matching one with Boston. Also Ray doesn’t have one? But anyways saw jojo shared some photos from the intro and you can see the photo here

I’m kind of shocked Mew would have a photo of the 4 of them on display by his attitude towards his friends. Also placement wise if this is the case is interesting cause I think Mew putting it next to the fish tank is how he views his friends separate but pretty. While Boston keeps his photo in his room where he has to see it every day. Almost as a motivating factor in his life at the end of his bed.

My speculation after now knowing what the picture is of is that the photographs in the frames goes like this

1. Photos in frames are a gift from Ray. We haven’t seen a similar one at Ray’s home. If ray bought them handed them out as a thank you after.. the tub incident?

2. Photos are from the groups graduation. Possibly they’ve been friends for years so this would show they were friends prior to university. They keep the photo so close because their friends are their motivation. Ray doesn’t like being alone and looking at this photograph brings him shame because he doesn’t feel worthy of his friends so he keeps his photo in photo frame hidden

3. Boston gave the photo to Mew and they have matching ones because it was a gift from Boston. Why? Maybe Mew introduced Boston to his friends when Boston really needed friends who he won’t sleep with. So it’s significant only to them. Mew and Boston’s friendship is deeper than it appears because of this.

Gotta say I kind of love the little hesitation before Mew tells Ray he loves him too.

They both know it’s true, but Ray is still getting over Mew and Mew is genuinely worried that if he words this wrong it’s going to set both of them back.

But he says it, because they both know what they mean now when they tell each other they love them. They’re friends, through it all and it’s time to get back to being friends.
