It's funny how, as soon as I saw Randy's new design, I just knew that you had some sort of influence in it XD

Idk what, but something about it just had "you" written all over it

It was the gradients… it was the gradients wasn’t it

Jokes aside, I didn’t do all that much, mostly just come patterns concepts!

Also slapping a read more for spoilers!

I shared a few of these back and fourth with Loups while she was hammering out ideas! Top left you can see the concept she had at the time! She toyed around with some lovely colour pallets before settling on this beautiful final one!!

This was actually version 2 of Randy’s ghost form! She had a much earlier one that was closer to his “Mo” design, but went with this absolute banger instead >;3

The stuff she liked ended up being his under eye markings and full body streak! Darkening his tail tip a bit, as well as keeping the more gradient esc whipsy whites on his hair, tail base, tail tip, and footys!

The final one she gave the gradients a lot more purpose with the streaks to emphasize his new main! And the final thingy he got was his glorious lil turtle neck >;3

So in the end, i just helped spruce up some patterns and give her stuff to work with, she did AMAZING putting it all together into his floofy masterpiece!! >w<

Ryou Shirogane was only 10 when his childhood and his whole life shattered into pieces: the only son of one of the wealthiest family in Piltover witnessed the death of his parents, side effect of a terrorist attack made by one of the most violent and extremist group in Zaun. His father only guilt was to be pioneer in the study of the powerful force of the Arcane. 

Motivated not only by revenge but also by the genuine desire to fulfil his father will and complete his researches in making the world a better place for everyone, Ryou will make the Project Mew his only purpose in life. 

Years and years of study, locked in his own laboratory and house - his best friend and adoptive brother Keiichiro by his side in this quest - made Ryou as brilliant as introverted, unable to get really attached to someone. Maybe the Project Mew, the feeling of friendship with the five girls chosen to lead his experiment and the deep bond he felt with Retasu and Ichigo will help him saving not just the city… but also himself.

Obviously with Mahou Shoujo final forms she has angel wings, a more extravagant outfit, etc.

I cannot sleep and I am curious about your take on this random conundrum I am faced with that I was wondering your take on because I love how you are able to depict dynamic movement and action in your art and animations.

So, I absolutely LOVE it when the typically cutesy being that is Mew is depicted as a feral godly beast and I am so utterly in love with Meau’s truly powerful design. An absolute apex predator. However, my brain is hung up on a frustrating detail. If they weren’t floating everywhere all the time how would they like… prowl? Or chase down something. They’ve got these nubby little arms and these looooong legs.

Like. I’m trying SO hard to imagine something that could anatomically work because as eery as floating can be there’s something satisfying about feeling in the weight of a creature through its gait. But all I can picture with their body shape is…hopping. Just a murderous psychic kangaroo cat god bounding towards something but like…It’s kind of silly? I’m sure irl that would probably be absolutely terrifying to see a kangaroo bouncing at you with malicious intent but… it’s hard to picture it as an intimidating movement.

The slow predatory prowl or the fast thumps of heavy clawed paws of something huge and large sharp teeth that quadrupeds have is so a satisfying in a heart racing way. I WANT a Mew or Mew-ish creature to be able to have that vibe while connected to the earth that but then I look at those LONG footers and nub paws and I…I’m left feeling like it’s not possible.

Even for Meau like…their arm to leg ratio…I don’t think it’s possible to run on all 4s. Naruto-run sure. Absolutely. All the mews and twos can Naruto run and kangaroo-hop with them leggies…but none of them move with the “tiger on the hunt in the forest” vibes. I want to make something close to that but I keep making something too permanently quadrupedal in anatomy.

Sorry for the tired brain rambling I just my brain won’t let me sleep because of it’s “How would Meau run down their prey on foot” thoughts sending me in a spiral.

You see- you see, I have the same. Exact, brain worms. Constantly.

When I made the Ancient mew, I wanted something feral, a physical threat. That happens to be psychically able to obliterate you as a side treat. In my earliest comics, I tried so hard to demonstrate she was a power house, so much so her mega evolution is entirely just… that. A massive, wall of steel. Meau tore those scientists limb from limb, literally, with her jaw. Even in mew form, she bitch slapped a nidoking with her tail and kangaroo kicked a persian. She could’ve just shadowballed them, sure, but I want that weight. That feral energy, that sense of an unstoppable force, meeting an immovable object, except it’s just one cat and they are about to flatten you.

As her design has clearly evolved, I’ve tried to make alterations that fit this feeling, that vibe of apex predator no matter the size. She’s larger then average because she’s a threat, she’s more muscular because she’s a threat, her tail is thicker, packed with said muscle because she’s a threat, her front paws are meaty and girthy because She’s. A. Threat. Her entire mega evolution is just amping up that primal energy of raw, unadulterated strength. That’s why I made it, it was my first freaking thought after I designed her XD

I was actually caught between animating a younger Meau acting like a mew or an current Meau acting like a threat. I went with younger Meau cuz we don’t see a lot of her and she’s about to come up with Noe’s arc. So if you sent me this lovely and viciously relatable brain dump 3 days ago, I probably would’ve swayed to animate feral meau XD

But, to answer your question, yes. She can absolutely hunt you down on all fours and disembowel you with her jaw, she is that untamed, wild concentration that kills with a sleek efficiency fellow gods fear. And! At the end of our current arc we’ll finally get that secondary typing reveal I’ve had planned since April XD

I love thinking of the Dark Forest as this strange place with many eerie but beautiful locations that don't quite make sense. A place that would be really scary to the living as a result of its strangeness, but a place where those who are stuck there can appreciate its wonder. A dark twisting of the scenery you can find in the real world, uncanny but still bearing the splendor of real nature.

If I knew how to draw scenery, I'd be drawing these settings constantly.

dark kishigo fanfiction concept... hear me out...

what if ichigo had an existential crisis after becoming a mew and slowly starts to believe that she doesn't have that much in common with humans anymore. she becomes more conscious about how truly damaging is human existence to all earth and of course including wild animals. what if the crushing realization of some harsh truths makes her feel like the aliens might have been right all along? what if, despite being conflicted and heartbroken due to these dark thoughts, she joins the aliens for a while. and what if ichigo and kish become lovers for that certain amount of time. but then the painful reality hits her again when she lives and fights along with the aliens and under deep blue's command. she snaps back to herself, now again realizing how her cynical point of view clouded her vision because the aliens' plan of exterminate humanity is actually kinda fucked up. despite sympathizing with some of the aliens' motives and goals ichigo can't help them basically wipe off the whole human race with her family and all of her friends. she comes to her senses, leave the aliens and starts fighting against them and along with the mews again. kish feels absolutely betrayed and will be more unhinged than before...finally having her and then not being able to have her anymore destroys him all over. like uuuhhhhhh...enemies to lovers to ex lovers to enemies once again...UST x1000, the angst added because they weren't just allies but lovers for a bit...every interaction is filled with that sense of familiarity and bitterness like "you chose me once" and "i know you better than anyone" or "i saw you and who you really are"...i think. i just think.

Awe! I saw your art of Yuichiro and X and I love how Yuichiro is just teasing X. They definitely feel as if they would have that dynamic. Also love the Pachinko Rockman rep with Emilia as well! ❤❤❤

And so the truth is Hub had the Humor Program passed down to him ahaha Something tells me that X would enjoy having human siblings, not to mention these two share situations where they haven't always had the most time to be with their respective children. So even with the occasional teasing, he and Yuichiro would get along well and also find support in one another.

We may not know too much about her, but Emilia is loved here too. I get the impression that she takes after the quirks from her dad's youthful days, I mean look at her hair. :D
